  1. About Spinelli's closet, I just tweeted asking Frank about it. I do not expect a reply. I believe Britt's party was Jan. 2023 so I don't think we've seen him since her memorial, so maybe it's now been a year. How time frakin' flies! If so, I missed it.
  2. Then maybe we could also see Brad! He's been MIA since Brett died. Pretty long time to mourn her.

  4. Personally Maxie's dialogue has recently become a highpoint for me. "generous interpretation of this prenup & I applaud the mental gymnastics that allowed you to stick that landing." - Maxie to BLQ And, then yesterday more good lines but one very simple one, to Sasha, about Cody Bell, "Make him stop." So simple but in that moment she spoke for me as a fan. STFU, Cody! I don't want them to chew up too much story too fast but at the moment I am enjoying this pace. Scenes seem longer, which I love. but what happens used to drag so & it's certainly not dragging now.
  5. There's a pic up on Twitter of Portia with her stethoscope on Dante's chest but the earplugs are not in her ears. Slightly embarrassing! Yes, Willow passed her exam with flying colors & went to work as a nurse. I believe if I recall correctly that we actually saw her work 3 shifts!!! Amazing, huh?
  6. One thing that always surprises me is that it seems people either don't know or don't remember how active soap fans were online BITD. Yes, it's true we were at DOS 2.0 and Windows 3.0 and I think Apple was AppleII and Macintosh & we were all on dial-up at 14.4. AW had a large presence as soon as the Internet was completed, which was '93 & by '94 Eddie had the basic AWHP up & fleshed out by the next year. Also most actors had individual web pages & in general they were created & maintained by fans. The Fan Club presidents of AW, ATWT & GL were employees of P&G. By that I mean they were fans who were paid. They maintained a consistent presence online pretty much everywhere. Compuserve had a very active Soap Opera area where I believe Jonathan Reiner was. AOL not only had their own Soap area but were the contracted hosts for DIGEST. Here is a picture BTS at a chat with Charles Keating & Victoria Wyndham. A fan had won an Essay contest & got to be a guest. At Delphi we had a very active Soap Opera Forum & we had actors in chats. More ATWT & AW than any other soaps. I was the typist for VW in one & we were all hooked up online & Mary Keating was typing for CK & in the background I could hear him ranting & swearing. It was hilarious but he was giving his wife fits. I typed another chat for Lisa Peluso. I was the Asst. Mgr. there. Prodigy also had a very active Soap Opera group. DAYS was huge & so was GH. I'm sure soap fans were active on GEnie & NVN. I just have no knowledge about it. On Usenet there was so much soap talk in the group rec.arts.tv that they created a new group rec.arts.tv.soaps and that covered all US daytime soaps. Then in 1995 once again the soap traffic was of such a large quantity that they split the group again making rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc & rec.arts.tv.soaps.cbs and rec.arts.tv.soaps.misc
  7. I wonder if that was the only promotion of it. I know from reading that they were very concerned both with how the schedule would change & what day & date they'd begin.
  8. CompuServe 1969/1979 Usenet 1980 In 1995 soap traffic had grown to such quantity that the group rec.arts.tv.soaps was split into 3 groups - rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc, rec.arts.tv.soaps.cbs & rec.arts.tv.soaps.misc Delphi 1981 From 1985 on, we had an active Soap Opera Forum & held chats with stars. Prodigy 1984 AOL 1985 Digest had chats both for stars & for Editors with fans, hosted on AOL. Genie 1985 Adding: National Videotex Network (NVN) was an online service launched in 1992 by U.S. Videotel. Defunct June 1994. Eddie Drueding's Another World Home Page, basic up Aug. '94, full up Apr '95 Most AW actors had individual web pages as of '94-'95. These were created & maintained by fans who acted as web page managers for the actors. Anyone know when WoST went up? Just a guess, but I don't imagine IMDb or Wikipedia were things until the hypertext framework of the World Wide Web was in place, initially in 1993, although there was very little in the way of content, for a few years & then it got going like gangbusters. You might remember when all companies set up webpages but didn't really know what to put on them!!!
  9. It does not bother me & the reason is that people are wildly speculative about something new. So many details & they are so impatient for information that is unavailable & will not be available for at least months. But underlying the impatience is extreme interest & I take that away from it as the good part of it. I would add that I have auto-posted "in development, no pilot, no order to series, no greenlight," an amazing number of times. The one poster who came back that according to the way they read it those things had happened, yes, that did annoy me.
  10. What day was the first 90 minute show? Isn't this week the anniversary of it? March 5, 1979? Or today? Edit: March 5, 1979
  11. Yes, I could definitely see the sense of it. I'd never heard it before, but it certainly rang true. Thanks for the reply.
  12. @Toups I was told by someone credible on most things that the WGA rule is that the outgoing HWs have to be credited as long as the show being aired is from their outline. Is that a thing? Thanks. This is nothing but curiosity.
  13. Symbolically, I think it would be for more even than GL. Soaps vs Talk Show, new round, Soap wins this time!
  14. Who is Uncle Remus? Marshall? If so, you may be pleased to know that he's been moved from contract to recurring. Probably the first change of many.
  15. ⏫🔼⬆️THIS, All of this! And, on top of ALL of that, she hangs out on social media, not just with her peers, but with fans.
  16. I agree. Loving Kraze & now we've got the song! I don't know whose team the other team is, WSB? Pikeman? Unknown Mob Killers? But it seems to me Jacobs/Jason is pretending to be on their side while he's really on our side. Only thing is I figure Sonny, Ava, not sure who else is gonna think Jason is 'agin em. But, Carly, Spinelli, Joss, Sexy Dexy, ... they will be Team Jason & believe him. Edit: Okay, today, Pride & Prejudice! First on DAYS & now on GH. What is the deal?!!
  17. And she made an amazing statement. Sheila Ducksworth will also executive produce along with Leon Russell, Derrick Johnson and Kimberly Doebereiner “’The Gates’ will be everything we love about daytime drama, from a new and fresh perspective,” said Sheila Ducksworth, president of the CBS Studios NAACP venture. “This series will salute an audience that has been traditionally underserved, with the potential to be a groundbreaking moment for broadcast television. With multi-dimensional characters, juicy storylines and Black culture front and center, ‘The Gates’ will have impactful representation, one of the key touchstones of the venture. I’m excited to develop this project with CBS and P&G, two of the longest and most passionate champions of broadcast and daytime television, and the NAACP, whose enduring commitment to Black voices and artists is both powerful and inspiring. I also want to thank CBS’ George Cheeks, NAACP’s Derrick Johnson and P&G’s Marc Pritchard for their personal involvement and support to take our next step forward with ‘The Gates.'” (From Variety)
  18. What an amazing opportunity for her & for us as fans!!! How many years has it been since a new soap was created!! Since the year 2000!
  19. And for me it was complicated because I knew the actor David O'Brien from his role as Dr. Steve Aldrich on THE DOCTORS. And, while he was a ladies' man, also probably a player, and was with many different women, at his core he was a nice guy.
  20. OMG! Just found out that today is National Grammar Day! "Let's eat Grandma." or "Let's eat, Grandma"?!!
  21. This is not a primetime soap. It's not a soap at all. It's a Family Drama with a soap actress as one of two leads & a former soap actress as an EP & Showrunner. This is the best place I could think of to put this. ➿➿➿➿➿ Last night was the finale, the conclusion of GOOD TROUBLE on Freeform. Now except for a time or two I didn't watch this show but I was an avid fan of the show it was spun off of, THE FOSTERS, beginning in 2013 & running for 5 seasons, on ABC. https://www.justwatch.com/us/tv-show/the-fosters So recently & last night its creators & some of its stars have been out on Twitter, okay UglyX. About the show: The dedicated police officer Stef Foster (Teri Polo) and her partner Lena Adams (Sherri Saum), a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef's biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon, and their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus. Their lives are disrupted in unexpected ways when Lena encounters Callie, a stern teenager with a past of abuse who has spent her life in and out of foster homes. Lena and Stef welcome Callie and Jude into their home, thinking it's temporary until a more permanent spot is found. But life has something else in store for the Fosters. Joanna Johnson was one of the EPs. In a former life she played 2 roles on B&B. And, she was the first actor in daytime to come out as gay. J-Lo was the show's "silent" partner. She got behind this show because of her love for an aunt, who was a lesbian. Sherri Saum was on OLTL.
