  1. I know people want to discount scuttlebutt but I promise that at the time they invited CVE back to write BD they thought Dan was in the process of bringing a wrongful termination lawsuit against them. He recently posted that the upcoming wedding is his first BD since back. They're doing great on Hulu. One day last week at #2, one day at #4.
  2. Now you've got me imagining a GH version of the ending of Bonnie and Clyde.
  3. I'm a total sucker for 2 baby things - socks & hats. When TJ finally let himself break down over those very ferociously striped baby socks I was quite choked up. I was glad Curtis said the line about people grieving differently. I really do not want to go through TJ turning his anger on Molly right about now! Her reading of the baby autopsy to Ava just about killed me. I remain so pleased that Sonny saved himself yesterday, what an unexpected growth in self-awareness, which apparently was provoked by Molly doing such a good job of telling him off. I had to chuckle, though, that he wouldn't tell Kevin about Hallucinating Morgan! Of course he would be one who would withhold from his therapist. I feel quite bittersweet at this ending of Patrick's time. And, quite leery of the new team. But, with that said, I am so pleased that we got the wedding over with, Gregory died, Finn burned & crashed, Pikeman got spiked & Tolly Baby Girl, for the good or not, is well dead & at some point soon will be buried. Now, whatever they want to do with these people in this town, they can set about doing it.
  4. You're Canadian?! I had no idea. What province? Look what showed up today in my FB Memories! Aug. 7, 2022 Per a tweet from soap writer Patrick Mulcahey, AW had a style manual rule about how much to let one character go on & it was from Pete Lemay. Patrick Mulcahey @MulcaheyPatrick also remember AW had kind of a style guide, by Lemay. No character said more than one sentence at a time. "Kit, tell me something." "What, Joey?" "Did you think I was wrong?" "About what, Joey?" "At the restaurant." "Which restaurant?" "The other night." "Which other night?"
  5. I wasn't disagreeing about Nina not needing Sonny. I agree that she does not & since she finally figured that out, she knows it now, too. I believe for a time she mistakenly was still tied to the idea of them as a couple, or being in love with being in love, if you will. My crack about relevancy was just a nod to her ... oh, non-conformity is the only word I can think of. I mean, yes, she is a fashion plate, so she cares to some degree what people think but she's also quite irreverent & even nerdy. I think Nina could snort when she laughs & not think anything of it. Maybe I'm just rambling.
  6. I've been told that NBC did ALL of the promos for ALL of their soaps. I was a huge fan of ALLY McBEAL & as fans we could not figure out what was up with the promos & then we learned that FOX did all of their promos & the show had nothing to do with what was used. I feel like the same thing happened with NBC.
  7. According to that script, Morgan wasn't killed in the explosion but he lost a finger on one hand, meaning the actor would wear a black leather glove with one finger tied down, all of the time. Apparently it was considered quite garish. I'm not sure but I think maybe I am appalled.
  8. It was truly clever to use Donna & Avery to expose the placebos. They think of Daddy's pills as vitamins that make him feel better. I'm very glad that Clement the pharmacist is probably going to tell everything he knows, including Valentin's initiating it, the first minute he is interviewed. He has so much to lose, his license!
  9. I have not mentioned the truly distasteful part.
  10. And again, you are correct. The silly villain was Jennifer Smith but only one had been held hostage, Morgan. And also brainwashed and trained as an assassin. Then she aimed him at Sonny. Jason's part was to save the day.
  11. That's why I say they took advantage. They knew how badly she wanted to do it. They might have also known what an ordeal they went through in their quest for the perfect Princess Buttercup and so on. But it was totally legal and would be today.
  12. You are correct. It was a part of their Jason returns story. Add that to this idiocy about Susan Moore and you begin to say Oy!
  13. No one ever suggested "no consequences". She certainly expected that she'd have to pay back. The issue was that NBC had her pay back double time & that was the only issue.
  14. Since when does Nina care about being relevant?!
  15. Yes, I don't know the details but somehow she was alive & had some - I think minor - involvement. Apparently some of the poor execution or stupidity. Not sure. Also don't want to know those details. I agree. Now I disagree. Jason didn't even notice Sam, not as much as a glance. And that is as it should be. They are nothing to each other except exes & co-parents. I was appalled & I still say this is a lawsuit in the making. Seriously though, why did Joss not drop a dime & call her mama?!!! Me, I'm hoping for a Security Firm with Jason & Spinelli. AMAZING. I'm in trouble. Something is wrong with me & I can't take it anymore. THANK GOD. Sonny saved himself. Before either Jason or Carly would have had to do it for him. Carly is free! Jason is free!
  16. Dan & Chris were going to bring him back & it was that story that ultimately got them fired, not because of bringing him back but, how they were going to do it. It was like they pitched a good idea with a really stupid execution. If that makes any sense at all.
  17. I hope it was clear how uninspired I was by his posting. I feel like, oh my, here we go again.
  18. NBC really took advantage of her in that deal. She wanted it so badly & I guess they pushed the envelope as far as it would go.
  19. Bryan Craig, playing a figment of Sonny's imagination rather than a more usual ghost, did a fine job. It was especially important since Sonny, unusually, was taking care of himself. Today was the closest Sonny's come to self-awareness in, well, years at least! And that he ended by going to Kevin's office & turning himself over to him, saying that something is wrong with him & he needs help ... fairly amazing. Joss has been good this whole week. Clearly she saved Kristina's life & she kept on in her capacity as "lifeguard" until her part was completely over & then she fell apart. And that's okay. I have no problem with the actor but I'd like a word with the character. He is routinely too hard on Kristina. Blames her for everything. Also regularly overreacts literally to everything. But, I have to give him this. So far at least he's the only one thinking about what to name Baby Girl Tolly. I also realize that this is the second baby he's lost in less than a year. He's the solitary male in a "household" of females & he does the best that he can. Some people are saying that if this baby had been white, it would be alive. I hope they're wrong. I was very glad that Jordan was there. It gave him someone to vent to who won't make it be more than that. It's better for him to blow off some steam with his mom than with Molly.
  20. GL near the end, Jonathan & Tammy. Cousins Lovin'. Stephanie Gaschet.
  21. I'm all in for either Marci or for Stephanie. And, I have a hunch & I'm off to look for YT videos of Jami.
  22. The show has been boring, for DAYS now. I'm amazed that they killed off BobEverett. Connie, I'm sorry but I still remember with horror ABC's "I Wanna Be A Soap Star" experiments. This is more of the same. The person playing Connie is taking up space where an actual actor could be standing. Jamey has been on Twi/X braying loudly about his first BDW scene since his return, the next new Xarah wedding. The new Gabi with the old Stefan, are doing nothing for me. Ava? I love Tamara, but there's just no reason for Ava to be there, and by there I mean anywhere. It's painful to watch. Brady & Fiona? Did we specifically ask DAYS for a trainwreck? If so, they seem to have complied. Maybe when we said, "Can we have some nice things?" They said here's a nice female & look, here's a nice male. My God, what will they think of next?!
