  1. Thought this last week & wondered one more time why they ever had a problem writing for her. I simply don't get it. And, also, where the hell is Parker, anyway?
  2. From FB Memories Elsewhere some folk are doing a virtual memorial to an actor who was also a singer/songwriter who is best known for the mostly villains he played on various soaps. Roscoe Born b. Nov 24, 1950 d. Mar 3, 2020 at the age of 69. He died by suicide; his family issued a statement that said, "Roscoe has long struggled with bipolar disorder, a shadow that he succumbed to when he took his own life". OLTL, RH, Paper Dolls, The City, Santa Barbara, AMC, DOOL, ATWT, GL and Y&R. Rarely saw his smile. So, I've put together this, showing him smiling. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/fpuc91p1gy3niqmth2zls/Bornsmiles.jpg?rlkey=qq2749nzffx24i7a7hcl4gd6u&st=c3e7hxx4&dl=0
  3. Huge agreement with literally everything you have said here. Now, here, suddenly, oh no, disagree. To me, the breaks to other stories was a blessing. Why? Because if not for those little breaks I am afraid that the horror, the sudden unexpected death, the very heavy nature of the highly emotional, grief-riddled story would be too much. So to me the breaks were breaks from the unrelenting tension, sadness, shock & awe, yes, so I appreciated that they did this & I do think it was intentional on their part. So I had no problem in terms of momentum. Sorry that it was different for you. I get it. I can empathize with what you say.
  4. Yes, you're right, of course, about Jack's redemption. But, don't you see they HAD to get that serious about redeeming Jack, who after all was a rapist & far too much like Harper Deveraux, so to rehab his character was a major undertaking. That they accomplished it is to their credit. If they had not done so, we would not today have a Jack at all. Re-watch Project, this year re-watching DAYS 1992 DAYS 1-2-92 Thurs. At Alice's Restaurant, Brian walks over to Ginger who apologizes about last night. He grabs her & thoroughly kisses her. Molly & Tanner: She wants them to make bets about breaking New Year's Resolutions. He's not into it. She offers to be his resolution proxy. Jack reads about himself on something. Jennifer is letting him stay there at the apartment but she's divided things up & there are zones. Ginger takes a phone call & speaks of going somewhere that afternoon. She says to Brian, "I don't appreciate what you did New Year's Eve. I disliked it - a lot." The flirting that goes on between Ginger & Brian to me is boring. Julie gets on to them about messing something up at work. Jenn says to Jack, "This line represents the line you crossed in our relationship & I will throw you out of here." Hawk is on the phone with Chauncey talking about his grandfather. He says, "I'm going to see this through to the end." Guy at the station. Jenn is in the running for a network reporting job in DC. They want to see her the next day. Jack & a Fed. Your stocks were cashed out at a brokerage house in Muncie, Indiana. 5 million dollars missing because that office didn't get the memo. (Not to process those stocks.) Questions for Jack: You were a willing participant in a stock swindle & that's a Federal crime. The fact that you came forward works in your favor. He takes down the names of the people Jack can think of who he thinks might have scammed him. Ginger had the music box repaired & intends to give it to Molly. Ginger: "It could be because Jack is in charge of the inheritance." Tanner tells Ginger off. Alice tries to talk to Jack about Jenn who she says still loves him. She points out that she wouldn't be so hurt if she didn't. (Frances manages to put 3 syllables in the word Jack.) Ginger gives it to Molly. "I brought this for you." Molly: "You had this fixed? I don't want to sound rude. But, I'm wondering why you did this." Alice & Julie sit down together, share a cup of coffee. Julie: "It bothers me. I can't figure out why that kid is getting to me." Ginger sits down to talk to Jack. "I can help you." Jack: "Look, whatever your name is, not at this time." At this moment, Jack is wearing a pink trenchcoat that is clearly Jenn's, not his! I ask WHY? Jack & Jenn talk about her job interview in DC tomorrow morning. Jack: "We have to be together to work this out." Julie: "For one brief moment I thought Chip was different, but he's not." Tanner is looking for a take-out order. Julie: "Chip & I are not an item." Chip: "Tanner, why is Julie giving me the cold shoulder?" Tanner: "She's been burned before by guys your age." Tanner to Molly: "What did you say to Ginger when she gave you the music box?" Tanner: "Your resolution needs to be less trusting of people." Jenn to Jack: "You've done nothing to show your taking responsibility." Long pan to tight on Jack's face. End.
  5. Earth: Final Conflict!!! So tickled to be met with that title. For a pretty long time I did not find Jack to be worthy of Jennifer Rose, so Emilio suited me.
  6. Julio was her other brother. He once dated Carrie. At first he wasn't in Salem. For some reason I am thinking he was studying at Julliard. After Mike was with Robin & Jeremy, April went to New York to fetch him. Unlike y'all I loved the Ramirez family. IMO they remain the best ethnic family DAYS has had. I won't bore you with my pix of Boom Boom or either of her gorgeous brothers. I only ever saw Lisa Howard in one other show. It was a SciFi & I cannot recall its name.
  7. I thought it was funny, also cute & Georgie, in the costume, was dead-on. To me it was harmless. But, then, when Ron did "poison pancakes" on DAYS I thought that was funny & harmless, too. So, maybe it's me. Nyah.
  8. Thanks! Also Fantastic! We await a shout from the laboratory!
  9. Those awkward overhead angles are ridiculous. I thought it was funny the first time they did it & some poster asked if it was supposed to represent Violet's pov. Every other time since then I've just been so annoyed it's not even funny. I thought it was a shame that he didn't get enough to buy Serenity.
  10. I posted the link with my opinion added, which was: This article is a bunch of hooey.
  11. https://x.com/ErrolLewis/status/1852438046110806418 BREAKING NEWS: @DaysPeacock renewed for next season at @peacock (through Season 61/2025-2026 Season). So excited! This is amazing! Now if we can just hang on till the new writers' material hits our screens!!!
  12. Another day when GH has even us curmudgeons choked up, crying, Dom is quite the emotional actor & boy can he cry. Plus, those kids. Dante blaming himself, I did not see that coming. Sonny got out of his own stuff for once to be there for his son. Kristina refused to believe it while Molly immediately collapsed. Next week we have the funeral to get through. And, sometime Lulu has to wake up. Sam MCall died an everyday hero.
  13. Great question. The most recent information I am aware of says that she did not want the proposed triangle with Dante & Lulu but instead wanted to be repaired as JaSam. The problem is that does not seem to make sense with anything else she has said. So, basically, I have the same question you pose.
  14. I mention it because it was really a quite long monologue. I personally found the writing to be solid, tight, emotional, catharsis-inducing & then NLG totally rose to the occasion of this writing which to me was unusual for current GH. I can be quite critical of today's GH but this was not the case yesterday, at least to me.
  15. So, you only saw clips? But, yes, I would estimate that her entire monologue will be the biggest part of her Emmy reel.
  16. It is my understanding that Billy Miller left GH of his own accord & that he was not in fact, fired. I've only learned of this recently. Before I was of the impression that they had fired him. Which it is, I suppose, is something that could be found out. Doing a quick run through Google Search I can find no statement of his being fired. Instead his mgr said he last filmed in July 2019. Then Google goes on with several suppositions, like maybe contract negotiations were not going well & since Steve Burton was back maybe it had a negative impact on story for him. Etc.
  17. What was said about Lindsay Hartley was that once before Frank made the offer to her & her reply was that she enjoyed the occasional time to keep her hand in but most of her time is spent directing. So, there's one question down, many left to go. Personally I have enjoyed it when she was temp Sam. Also, it is my understanding, despite what so many KeMo fans insist, that it was not Frank's decision. The decision, supposedly, was handed down by Disney. So, that is maybe one more of your stated questions. I have found the people who have said this about the network to be very reliable fans & show supporters. So, I at least give this serious consideration. I do know that Disney was very unhappy with its numbers from last quarter & that is why they handed down pay cut & episode minimum changes, across the board.
  18. What a day! Yesterday's GH, I don't have enough adjectives to do it justice. Korte/Van Etten/Nigel Campbell/Lepard/Anne they outdid themselves. The writing was solid, tight, filled with emotion, high drama, catharthis inducing tears. Then the actors, OMG! Nancy Lee Grahn had me bawling. Before that, I was all choked up. Those fans who do not believe that Steve Burton can actually act were shown they are wrong. Van Hansis was a marvel, his being so dismayed. Even Becky H brought it with Head Nurse vibes.
  19. I was literally amazed at yesterday's show. I think it was the single worst episode of any soap I've ever seen anywhere, anytime. BODY & SOUL was the absolute worst its ever been. The Plunger as a serial killer, well, I just cannot go there. Charlemagne suddenly being alive. How in the hell did she manage that? When Rosalind Shays did the death by elevator shaft on LA Law, she at least stayed dead. Still boring, that's our Johnny. Plus, of course, he is in so much trouble. It's amazing just how angry Chanel is. He deserves it, though. She gave him no reason not to trust her.
  20. So, I keep a gratitude journal and I have been having a hard time writing entries in it. But last night this is what I wrote. At this moment I am grateful for the life of Drake Hogestyn. He was the best of us. We didn't always know what we had, but Drake, steady on, never flagging, always giving it his all, every single time.
  21. I understand what you mean. We are just going to have to agree to disagree about the issue of sincerity.
  22. The John Black emoji https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/raykmkkwek49b19lj698p/John.png?rlkey=9j3ta4g570s5z7hdf6m6jtzto&st=bv9fwe9l&dl=0
  23. May light perpetual shine upon him & may angels guide him to his new heavenly home. May he be met there by friends & family that it's been years since he saw them last & may they be having a feast in preparation for his arrival. And may there be there beloved pets.
  24. Anyone can see that Kristina has suffered a loss & there's no way around that. In fact her suffering is not just one loss. She lost the baby she was carrying. She also lost Blaze. And, she is terribly concerned that she may have lost a sister in the process. Those of us who do not doubt her sincerity see this totally differently than some of you others do. Only time will tell, A lot has to shake out before we close this chapter. I happen to agree with Alexis & this is something I thought all along. If things had gone another way I believe Irene would now be safe in her parent's arms, Tolly I mean.
  25. When I've known of things WR said it would be like her describing what she did not want to do & then go on to describe in general terms what she did want to do instead. Then like a day would go by & Labine would present her with a rough story about Robin & Stone. Also I believe that WR also spoke very highly of Shelly Curtis. Then when she talked about the Nurses Ball evenvwn more people were involved.
