I've also learned that their process is a little strange. The day that a script is published, at that time, they write the previews or spoilers that are posted every week. Those go at that time to PR & they just sit there, no editing, no changes, no matter what in actuality may be happening to that script. So, then, sorta at the last minute, they look to see what needs to be changed in those bullet-like previews (or spoilers if you like.) They do it this way because it's the way they have always done it. (???!!) When this was explained to me, I was a little bit ... flabbergasted!

My interest follows Molly to some country bar, where she tried to order a Manhattan but got bourbon straight. That was NOT a cop bar. Why was Dex there? And, is Tolly about to become Dolly? But, most of all, why in the blue blazes did we get a mention of Steven Lars?

DAYS Re-watch Project Fri. night, 1-10-92 Special Primetime Movie "One Stormy Night" ER Carly & Marcus running Triage on Emergency & Trauma Patients being rushed in from the storm. Volunteers helping: Bo, John, Izzy, etc. Jenn is covering the storm & the hospital for the TV station. Lawrence, too This was to have been Bo & Carly's engagement party. They shrug this off & keep on. Bo: What are you doing here, Larry? Lawrence: I'm playing a new role, Angel of Mercy. Jenn: You couldn't be romantic if you tried! Jack: JENNIFER! Tracy Middendorf is playing NotCarrie & she's alone in a car with a strange man talking about stopping at the next motel. Jack now in a tux & with Sound Effects! Carly is needed to help with someone on remote. Marcus needs her! Jack also has a deck of cards. NotCarrie now at said motel is maneuvering to save herself. Now she's gone out in the storm. Oh, she stole his carkeys. Now she's driving away, but it's still storming like crazy. Suddenly Jack & Jennifer are in the middle of a game show. She is as bad as he is. Juvenile & competitive. Jack makes this speech. Larry is trying to woo Carly. Flashback to Larry & Carly, in bed. Now another Flashback, elaborate one, going to bed. OMG! Now Jack is singing! Jenn finally relents & they begin to kiss. NotCarrie is in really big trouble, in the car & the storm. Carly breaks away from Lawrence & runs as fast as she can, to the boat, to Bo, calling his name! Bo runs in, tears off his yellow slicker & they embrace & tumble to the bed & rip off their clothes --- The End.

Why do it, yes, that is the #1 question. If we ask oh maybe someone like me, I might reply that CBS did it out of the sheer stupidity of being able to do it. IOW, power. In this scenario it is imagined that CBS wanted P&G in a position where they would have power over them. They publicly announced in 1995 that they wanted Bill Bell to create a brand new soap for them to replace Guiding Light. P&G went to bat for their soaps, verbally, and so CBS "backed off" when P&G said, basically, "We'll do anything, just please, don't cancel us." And, it seems to me that was what the point was, all along. CBS wanted P&G to say "Uncle". They waited until some P&G veterans, retired, to pull this stunt. BTW, Bill Bell wanted nothing to do with any of it. But, this to me, was the set-up for the whole effing last years of these two venerable "Chantilly" soaps. I happen to have a deep & abiding love & respect for GL & ATWT & I think, I mean it is my opinion, that it was CBS BTS pulling strings till the whole damn structure ... collapsed.

Well, would you just look at that?!! A wonderful, underhanded streak now rears its lovely head!!!

But, would people accept a recast for Robin? AFAIK Kimberly McCullough wants to direct full-time.

In Lynn Liccardo's book she talks about CBS mandating the so-called new production model for Guiding Light and a new narrative style for ATWT. She dubs that new narrative style "pod storytelling" where they completely abandoned their traditional "weave a tapestry" narrative style in favor of stories where individual characters, or couples, were as isolated as possible from everyone else!!! IOW, each character, or couple, existed only in their own little 'pod.' Another way to put it might be that people stay in their own lane.

I really got a lot out of it. Her attention to detail & anticipating what other people might find interesting shows a pretty good level of acumen, if you ask me. This woman is definitely self-aware & has an excellent eye about her parents, something some people never achieve. I am often quite interested in BTS info about people like Bell Sr & his wonderful wife, Lee. This fits that bill. Glad you also enjoyed.

Ratings day was like putting in a new battery for him because it was the acknowledgement of busting his ass & how people are responding. And, despite all of this, it was a very normal childhood to me, because to me my mom was the 'famous one' because of her talk show (The Lee Phillip Show) so we wouldn't walk anywhere without being stopped.

There have definitely been episodes where inserts did occur. Strange but also some scenes were cut out. (???) This is not our gran's soap. Production-wise, it is a whole new world. Not saying better, mind you but sure is different.

It was one of those fairly remarkable things, AT THAT TIME, that BET bought the rights to play GENERATIONS a couple of times, beginning to end.

What an excellent idea! They should definitely do one of those short-term things we know that they do. The time is now. The answer is to insert them, like maybe tomorrrow?!!! Shirley they're not afraid of a little ole insertion.

But, it doesn't matter a whole lot. Genie was back in the studio taping as of the beginning of last week. So, the time that was lost, is over & done with. Now we are onto the time that matters. Yes, I know, that they say they are 6 weeks out. Not a thing we can do about that.

The thing I fail to understand is why people seem to think that social media, today, is that much different, from online entities, before. To me the real differences all lie in the realm of bad behavior. Never before have there been so many haters, toxicity, plain ornery meanness, ... also bullies. The only other thing that I note is a lack of critical thinking & reading skills

As long as Zombie Jordan doesn't start to eat brains, i'm gonna just hang on & be good with her at least for awhile. Although it's true that if they gave me 15 people I could decide to CUT, she'd definitely be on my list.
