  1. I hope I'm not duplicating. I looked but I didn't see it. Well, here goes. A great voice is lost to us. RIP Dorothy Allison b. 4-11-49 d. 11-5-24 (75) I personally own 2 of her short story collections: Trash, Two or Three Things I Know For Sure. Probably most famous for her novel that was made into a movie, Bastard Out of Carolina. She wrote many more books, short stories & even some poetry. She also won so many literary awards. Also she was included in so many anthologies. Her writing was known for being Southern, feminist & lesbian. She also dealt with childhood sexual abuse. I am sad that we have lost her.
  2. Fine idea. I wonder if Frank could get Genie to arrange it.
  3. I read that when DAYS moved to Peacock, they brought 2 million subscribers to Peacock & the account I was reading thought that was an excellent number. I was thinking, also, that it meant that 2 million viewers LEFT NBC!!! Couldn't have happened to a more deserving network, at least as far as daytime soaps go!! Surely it's clear that of the broadcast networks from the POV of daytime soaps, that NBC was ALWAYS #3 for a reason!
  4. I think you're right about all 3. Mo is not where he once was. Steve it seems to me is at a better place than prior, which makes me think he got something out of the year at DAYS. LW gives as good as she gets. Sometimes that is very good, but not always & I think that is the writing. I did think the other day that she & Charles Mesure do that great thing when actors elevate their writing to better than it actually is, which is something Finola does often. Genie CAN do it, but doesn't always. I read today that Genie's husband, Jonathan Frakes, is directing the first episode of some Star Trek & that Tatiana Masley is in it. Now, I've drifted, sorry.
  5. Well, I wasn't at all sure where you were headed at first, but, you ended up with some very nice words!!!
  6. My favorite writers are Lemay, Labine, Curlee, Swajeski, Hurst, Mulcahey, the Dobsons, Marland, Val Jean, CCulliton, Falken Smith, Bell, Nixon & Phillips. That's 15. I like writers. Michele Val Jean has the newest of new gigs possible! BTG Headwriter & Show Creator & EP
  7. I'm so excited! Not only is MVJ there but Eric Braeden just showed up there, too!!! He had said he was leaving BUT going to Threads. I posted, without much hope, trying to get him to consider BlueSky!!
  8. @Bright Eyes Did you find Doug's last scene okay? I was thinking about things Susan said about this scene. With permission she rewrote some of the lines. Beginning where she says that they had years & years together & going on until the end. Basically it was her idea to cover their history the way they did & then to top it off by having him ask her for one more kiss to which she replies, "My pleasure." And, she kisses him & that's the end of the scene. Perfection! Please share your impression of the scene.
  9. I guess I've watched GH since '93 & then, like now, I hate Sonny. Always have, still do, probably always will. It's not the actor, at least I don't think it is. It is the character, plain & simple. But, you know, I know a lot of GH fans & a lot of them, hate Sonny, always have, always will. It's just a thing. But, and perhaps this is strange, but it doesn't keep us from liking the show.
  10. So glad you mentioned this, provoking me to go check it out & awesome plus so worthwhile!
  11. Well, of course, he calls himself a method actor, so some of that goes with the territory. It's the increased frequency that alarms me.
  12. And, with Mo, what we're seeing is change. He never used to do this. Now he does. And, for that reason we notice.
  13. It is truly a dilemma. While it is so, that they copyright holders have a legal duty to protect what is theirs, at the same time the concept of FAIR USE exists for a reason. When it comes to short clips I personally feel that FAIR USE should be liberally applied. And, this particular clip was indeed short & also it retains a particular historical value since it was Bill Hayes last appearance & he is now deceased. Like everyone who collects & posts clips I cannot stand these individuals who turn people in. That's just the nature of the beast.
  14. So excited this morning. Some citizen left me comments on clips of Doug's last episode of #DAYS saying they have turned me in for copyright violations to both Rumble & to Corday Productions. Whatever would we do without helpful citizens like that?!!

  16. That's a "Dirty Soap" YouTube & I avoid them because she makes sh*t up. Sometimes she starts with the published spoilers & then lets her mind run free & posts whatever fiction comes out of that. Other times she seems to start totally out of whatever is in her head at the moment. I do not support such sites by intent & also encourage others to shun them.
  17. Thanks for the background. I knew that they are very close friends but I didn't know about them starting together! And, I'm still appalled that he'd make such an elite list.
  18. I loved that loft. But I tend to think of it as well, I'm not entirely sure. Maybe Steve's. But, yes, so many different people lived there.
  19. Just wanted to say how refreshing today's #DAYS episode was! My favorite part is different compared to what others are saying ... The show & character history that Julie gave in an amazing monolog!! More please! And I would add: OMG, could Kristen be more annoying! First, imposing on Marlena. Then, wanting to get her 2 cents in to everything going on. Belle looked amazing in that red dress. Paul, as always, a sight for long missing him, eyes. Andrew!!! Since they couldn't have John, they loaded the scene up with stand-ins. Oddly effective.
  20. Okay, this has been posted on Twi/X and on BlueSky. Here, I try to avoid giving actual links, so with a little bit of subterfuge, DAYS 7-11-24, Bill Hayes last show, in 2 versions, go to rumble dot com, the acct name is shallotpeel & the titles of the videos are as follows: DAYS 7-11-24 Doug's Last Day, long form DAYS 7-11-24 Doug's Last Day, short form None of the dreadful digging up Abby in the cemetery is included. Have fun, honor his memory, miss him so much.
  21. She posted that & one other thing yesterday. The other thing, she misses her cat. I guess Bella is in CA while Michele is in GA.
  22. That thing, where some straight people think any gay person is automatically attracted to any & every person of their same sex is so stupid, ludicrous, absurd, ... I could go on & on!!! I mean, it's 2024, shouldn't we have more understanding about the basics of life by now?!!
  23. I wonder if they don't have a misguided notion that our attention spans are short.
  24. That's certainly true. Never burn a source! I get that, honest. I wasn't meaning to in any way cast aspersion or blame or anything on you. Sorry if it came off wrong.
