  1. @Nothin'ButAttitude @ChitHappens @Antoyne agree about RHOA. None of the women really want to be there. And Production is doing a poor job. The show is not being edited and put together with any wit or humor or understanding of these women. Carlos King, for all his faults (and lord knows he fed Phaedra that gossip about Kandi) had been working on ATL since S1. Michael Beck doesn't appear to have watched RHOA. His production only perks up when Kim Zolciak slimes her way onscreen -- and then the show starts feeling like Tardy For The Party. But when she's not on, it is just a collection of contrived scenes about not much. I mean, Porsha's veganism is a central storyline. Are Kandi and Kenya even on this show anymore? They are halfway out the door. Nene feels like a FOH. Sheree feels like a FOH who happens to be mute. The only people who seem somewhat invested in being onscreen are Porsha (Bravo still trying and failing to make her happen), Marlo (nasty), Kim (NO) and Mama Joyce (ditto). Add Cynthia and that is quite the motley crew to base a show around. Like @Nothin'ButAttitude I really worry for Beck's production on RHONY. I don't think Tardy For The Party is adequate work experience for ATL, let alone NYC. RHOBH: Dorit and Erika showed their respective asses BIG TIME this episode. Dorit is a born liar desperate to impress her new buddy. She is so dumb because she doesn't realize that Erika and Rinna are playing her. Rinna is taking a purposeful step back from the theatrics, thereby forcing Dorit to stir the pot on her own. And Erika is getting closer to the fool, coaxing out the dumbassedness and giving Dorit enough rope to hang herself. I 1,000% empathize with what Erika goes through with her lady-cycle. However, Erika's decision to stay at a hotel was because she disdains these women. She doesn't want to spend one more minute with them than absolutely necessary. Erika was a massive b!tch to Teddi who was hosting everybody with warmth and graciousness. I warmed to Teddi this episode because she is honest in her feelings without being cruel. Unlike Erika, who acted like Teddi's hand on her arm was going to give her Ebola and icily told her "I don't need to be petted." Yeah right, Erika. That's why you stormed off in a huff. Erika pretends she doesn't care but she absolutely does, very much so. I hope she gets called out at Reunion about this because she treated her hostess very badly -- much worse than Kathryn acted a few seasons ago at Erika's house. Also, when Erika was interrogating everybody about what they had said the night before, it felt very KGB henchwoman and took me back to when Erika was Yolanda's heavy in finding out who said Munchausen. Yeesh. Camille was great, especially when she shuffled her chair forward to call Dorit a tattletale. Get her diamond, Camille!
  2. Wow. Amazing! Cartagena is meant to be stunning. 10-15 years ago it was advisable not to visit Colombia, so I'm glad they are showing another side to the country and taking viewers someplace where arguably most will not have visited themselves. Sonja, Dorinda, Lu et al better keep their noses clean, though. The last thing NYC needs is that kind of scandal.
  3. Sorry, I'm behind on ATL Haven't watched the last couple episodes but I want to get back in. Don't want to be out of the loop.
  4. @Cheap21 Really glad you liked it! I heard it and thought you would enjoy it a lot. I think it's their best track in a couple of years, actually. The choreo is good, too, because everybody gets a twirl out in front. BTW, EXO and CL will be performing at the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics on the 25th. Would love it if they share a stage, as random as that combination would be together. @Faulkner iKon's latest album is so good, isn't it? I have it on rotation on Spotify. I think this is the album where they really break through to the kpop mainstream.
  5. Erika: What did they say? Dorit: Well Kyle was very outspoken about it-- Me: JUST WATCH THE FOOTAGE WHEN IT AIRS, ERIKA!
  6. She won't be a full HW in this upcoming season as NY must have a lot of their filming already in the can. But I bet she is angling for season 11. Speaking of this upcoming season, I am more excited for NY to air than any other franchise ever. So much has happened. So much IS happening. It is all unexpected and seemingly absolutely REAL. We'd better not have filler like Bethenny emasculating Frederik as they try to flip some SoHo real estate. We need the unprecedented moments I mentioned! We need Luann's mugshot and then Lu coming back to NYC to spa-detox with the HWs. We need her cabaret show. We need Bethenny and Jill meeting up again at Bobby's funeral. We need Ramona toasting to Mario's karmic mess in Morocco. I'm greedy! I want to see it all!
  7. Peripheral NY news! Mario Singer caught his mistress -- the one he dumped Ramona for -- cheating on him at his Boca Raton apartment. He is now trying to have her evicted. http://www.realitytea.com/2018/02/07/ramona-singers-ex-husband-mario-singer-evicted-mistress-cops-called/ Ramona's reaction right now: ETA: One of the the comments below the article: "Word on the street is he found out because he had a hidden camera! 👀" ETA 2: Also word on the street: Ramona is currently vacationing with JILL ZARIN in MOROCCO!!! And another comment from below the article: "Is Ramona tracking down that psychic for another reading?" omg
  8. @Nothin'ButAttitude @DaytimeFan It's not too big a stretch to say this was the best episode of the last 2-3 seasons, given how dire they were! And ITA this season is seriously unstellar. For me personally, I was relieved to watch an episode where I didn't get the itch to fast-forward. Mainly because of the way LVP chose to handle this conflict and be true to her feelings with the others. 100% agree about Kyle. Kyle, who derides LVP for her neediness yet exposes her own neediness by whining that Lisa doesn't love her the most. Kyle is one of those fairweather people who thinks networking for The Agency and friendship are the same thing. They are not, and Lisa knows that. That is why she holds Kyle's friendship to a higher standard, but I don't think Kyle is deep enough to understand fully why LVP is (in her opinion) hard on her. Ultimately, Kyle can never really offer Lisa the friendship they used to have. I caught the 'plotting' comment, too. We all could see where Kyle was heading with that one. @Nothin'ButAttitude Dorit is already flaming out fast, but she's not the crazed loose cannon Brandi was and is. Dorit is more like a shark-eyed Rinna. Rinna is no longer willing to be lone bone-carrier this season, mainly because the credibility of her words is now completely shot, Trumpian styles. This is where Dorit is heading -- every word has become meaningless and for shock value. This is going to get her a beating at Reunion like Rinna got last year. Speaking of Rinna, IA about the daughters. Seeing Amelia with her new funky spectacles... Rinna is trying too hard to Bella-Hadid the interesting-looking one. Amelia actually has a better chance at modeling because she is tall, but her dullard older sister has no standout model qualities either and is short to boot. A contrast with what we saw of Gigi and Bella -- you could tell on camera the way the light caught their faces that both had something the industry values. I also side-eye Rinna for home-schooling Amelia. Lots of people choose to home-school because of bullying, or serious health issues, or behavioural problems. But the home-school system is also abused by hyper-religious/anti-Big Govt types and parents who want to make a buck off their kids. I don't think Rinna is actually making money off her kids (I suspect she is thinking of their financial futures and not her own), but when Amelia pointed out that Rinna cut her childhood short to push her into modeling, it was such a contrast with Lisa's VT where she bragged about Amelia being just like her, a 'baby hustler'.
  9. Anybody watch BH last night? I thought it was by far the best episode of the season thus far. Perhaps even of the past two seasons. Much of this was due to LVP. LVP could well be this season''s MVP! This is a Lisa we have not seen since S4 or even, possibly, since S2. Needy, perhaps, obsessed with being the centre of attention, maybe, but also vulnerable, sincere and warm. Even if the scene at dinner with Dorit and Kyle came off as slightly scripted, I understood why LVP stormed out. She felt the dropping of the lawsuit was vindication, vindication of Ken especially, and she wanted it to be noted and acknowledged by her closest friends on camera, especially after Rinna discussed it with everybody behind LVP's back. I am usually Team LVP when it comes to Kyle. Kyle, who never lets a VT go by without throwing bitchy shots at Lisa which she would never do to her face. I understand Kyle bemoaning that her relationship with Lisa is unbalanced, that she confides in Lisa but never LVP with her. However, having seen the scene where Lisa tries to talk to her while Kyle fields phone calls ("It's my agent again!" *SMIRK* ), I can see why LVP has given up on that line of discussion. It was eye-opening to learn from Dorit that Lisa's parents never paid attention to her or showered her with affection, and puts her love of her kids/dogs and her coolness with the other women into a context we never really understood before. I also enjoyed her friendliness with Erika on the ride to Teddi's beachhouse. These two could be really fabulous friends -- if they ever lower their defenses. Overall, the vibe at the beachhouse was very chill, open and non-toxic in a way; I liked that about this slightly unusual episode. Even Dorit was less insufferable than usual.
  10. @Cheap21 EXO's dance practice for their Japanese single Electric Kiss. Issa bop
  11. @Soaplovers @YRBB @Khan @DRW50 Thanks for responding to my post and sorry for not replying before now. Finishing S8 was both great and bittersweet, saying goodbye to Ben (still pissed at how they messed up his character over the past two seasons -- Ben and Val together were hot and sweet once upon a time) and to Peter Hollister. Peter imo was killed off too soon and could have triggered some good stories for another season, especially bouncing around between Paige, Abby and Olivia. He was such a shady, mysterious character without being a complete moustache-twirling villain. However, the season finale (where Abby hides the body just out of sight of the Lotus Point dining room, sweating all night long that it will be discovered, then finally dumps the body under the concrete of the new children's park) was a great episode. I consider this almost a 'bottle episode' which I think somebody mentioned earlier. The tension, suspense and detail as Abby works overtime to dispose of the body was incredible. I actually LOLed a few times, not least when Abby went to all that trouble of shovelling gravel over him in the middle of the night, hiding from a security guard, then she strolls back to the parking lot... and sees Peter's car. Sh*t. She has to scramble back to the work site, dig up Peter again and fish around in his slacks for his car keys. I was also amazed that Abby's long, flowey cream dress did not get a spatter of blood, dirt or gravel on it as she hauled Peter's body all over the place, cleaned up the blood at Lotus Point AND dug him into his final grave! I would have torched that outfit! Incriminating DNA must have been all over it! Going into S9, I am not feeling the Fairgate boys' significant others, including that Jodie girl. I also keep LMAO at the new opening credits. The very beginning with its evocative music and close-up on the swirly paint and writing is gorgeous and very 80s (very Y&R in a way). But LORD the way the cast has to turn to camera in that opening. William Devane and Kevin Dobson both look like they want to shoot themselves. And Joan Van Ark's new hairdo, holy late 80s. Finally, when is Nicolette Sheridan ever going to join the opening credits?? C'mon now.
  12. @Cheap21 cool! Speaking Taeyang, he is getting married today!
  13. @Cheap21 I don't know if you are into kpop ballads, but EXO's Christmas album, Universe, had some good ones. And iKon just came back with a new album which is getting good reviews. Lately I've been listening to Red Velvet's newest release, Bad Boy. Even though I'm not really a girl group person, I love the slow jam melody. It's a follow-up to Peekaboo:
  14. Still overrated and annoying af imo.
  15. Teddi is very clenched and ordered, while the OC ladies let their messiness fly. Plus I'm not sure she'd be able to deal with WooHoo Time at Andalays, or the nasty face-offs. I still have a migraine from the Iceland trip I forced myself to watch last season.
  16. There is something no-nonsense about Dolores that I like too. And she is smart enough to recognise that nobody should put their trust in Danielle Staub, who is a loose cannon and will turn on you in an instant. Also, Danielle's attempt to get a spot next season (mic-ed up sex in a public bathroom) really backfired. But what lets Dolores down is her boring private life, and being such a ride-or-die for Siggy. Siggy is so far gone, but Dolores is essentially enabling her by telling her that her feeeeeeelings and need to attack Margaret are valid. Soggy and her twitter bots are STILL attacking Marge on social media, apparently. I liked the episode too. As usual, anything involving the kids is the best. The last three season of NJ have been, um, trying at best, but the Teresa Checks In mini-series was excellent, thanks to the Giudice girls and Joe Giudice (don't hate me for enjoying him on my screen). I'd rather watch Milania cooking up a mess in the kitchen than Soggy doing... whatever she does. Damn. You could be right! Plus her cottage is in Dana Point -- OC territory. I wonder how she would handle that shark Tamra.
  17. The producers cut Eileen having lunch with Rinna and Erika... but they kept in Dorit lecturing Teddi about the stem on her glassware?? Well then, the producers are damn fools! I'd rather watch Eileen breathing through her nose patronisingly than the two newest HWs trying to create another Pantygate. Having finally seen this week's episode, I have to say... it wasn't as dull as last week's episode. The horse-riding and the yacht party saved it -- although in the UK, Bond-themed parties are a dime a dozen as every British male between 15 and 65 fancies himself a bit of a 007. I think the reason the producers went with Teddi is because she is seemingly authentic -- even if she does appear, uh, clenched with the other women and playing up the 'I'm just a no-frills tomboy' persona too much. And the reason they went with so-called authentic is that BH's biggest asset -- its glamorous, wealthy Hollywood location -- is also a problem. These women are either in the industry or surrounded by it, and so every HW is very practised at playing many roles. They understand the business and technicalities of manufacturing illusions. Perhaps more than any other franchise. I remember reading that after S1, Camille hired a PR firm to completely overhaul her image. And they did a pretty good job in coaching her to control what she was revealing on camera. All the BH HWs MUST now employ similar PR teams to micromanage their image (and buy them an extra 50,000 Twitter followers). As a result, anything spontaneous is shut down because it cannot be completely controlled or directed. A Taylor meltdown is just not allowed to happen. We know that the RH franchises have had script advisers from the get-go, and that they outline story arcs for the seasons. The thing with BH is that certain key events (Kim's alcoholism, Taylor's abused background, Russell's suicide, Adrienne's surrogacy reveal) came out of left field and were not planned. When we first watched those early seasons, what we saw was incredible, voyeuristic. It would be almost impossible to recapture that now. Both existing HWs and any potential future HWs understand the medium. They have game and know how they are going to play it. That's why Brandi was so valuable to the franchise for so long. She was unpredictable, uncontrollable, and dropped big bombs on people. Since she left, BH has struggled to manufacture high-stakes conflict and rivalry where peoples' reputations and livelihoods are literally put on the line.
  18. I haven't seen yesterday's episode yet... but I am feeling the same way about the season so far. BH has not been right in the head since S6 when Eileen and Lipsa went scorched earth on LVP in a bid to exonerate themselves in front of KGBYolanda and henchwoman Erika. Everybody came out of that Stalinist purge ruined. I don't think Bravo realised how bad it was, and they kind of let the sourness drift into S7 and S8. I cannot buy anything Rinna and Dorit say on this show, because they are both the epitome of #AlternativeFacts. Especially agree with the bold. LVP and Kyle have an alliance of convenience, and Kyle would probably be more at home on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, supporting her actual buddy Kris Jenner and being a guest star like Faye. However, Kyle is not into guest spots -- BH is her 'it's my time' moment. LVP has outstayed the franchise and seems more comfortable on VPR and working on divesting Villa Blanca from her portfolio. Lipsa really hates LVP (becoming increasingly Brandian in her obsession btw) and Kim-by-proxy Kyle; Dorit hates Lipsa and Teddi; Teddi hates Dorit; LVP hates Lipsa, and probably Erika; and Erika hates everybody. Can the show be rebooted? With half the cast? If Brandi were to return, would that be redundant? Has this show had its day? I don't know, but what I do know is that Teddi is a one-season wonder, and that this year's refocus on All Dorit All Day Long is a big mistake. PK and Dorit are grifters, and not very good ones. We can see that all this ridiculous OTT spending is going to end in the Kemsleys scurrying from their shady creditors in the dead of night to a country with no US extradition treaty.
  19. Yikes! I forgot about Lisa at the White Party (copyright Kyle Richards) ! I love Dwight! WhatsHisName you mean Derek J the hobbit ? He's the one who did most of the groundwork on Kim's wig line, getting her out of those synthetic ones and into more natural ones. As with everybody who crosses Wig's path, she uses them for all they are worth, gets them to do the work, then takes credit for the whole project and tosses them aside. BEST MOMENT OF THE SONG!!! But nobody gif-ed it! They did gif this, however, which was second best moment: I'm not surprised about the female comedians getting little fanfare when they leave, even though they are carrying the show. SNL does act woke in its content (which is down to the cast themselves and the writers room), but production-wise it is still a good ole boys club. To be female and accepted by those guys, you kind of have to be the 'Cool Girl' (eulogized in the movie Gone Girl) who pretends to be one of the guys. See: Ben Affleck's new GF who lol is a producer at SNL. I think it's part of a larger problem at NBC generally -- see Today and the Matt Lauer debacle. Those NBC execs had their bro's back until class action lawsuits became a real and present danger.
  20. Re: ATL, it feels to me like Production have no clue what to do with the black girls. So they are filler/in a holding pattern until Kim Z hauls her carcass from bed at 5 in the afternoon and Kroy chauffeurs her lazy ass to whichever filming location she needs to be at. Then it's like 'the budget Kween has arrived.' Kim sits down and sharts her toxic spew at everybody, accusing Kandi of wanting to lick her box and whatnot. It's such a disappointment after the song and dance Bravo made about this being Atlanta's 'special' 10th season. Why no fly-bys by Lisa Wu? Dwight Eubanks? Heck, I'd even take Phaedra. Instead it's The Kim Show and if I wanted to watch The Kim Show, I would stick my eyeballs on Don't Be Tardy. I'm also sick of Kim trying to push Brielle on us and give Kroy a purpose in life -- there is a reason no sports show will hire his ass or team give him a coaching position, and that's because there's nothing between the eyes. And Kim has ruined his brand indefinitely. I also wouldn't even notice Sheree was gone if she upped and left tomorrow. Cynthia is trying to have a SL but that is falling flat. You know something is wrong when Porsha is providing coherent running commentary on all this. Eva... sigh. I'm distracted by her nose. Is it new? Still too early to judge for me. Kandi seems done with this show. She's got Don Juan and her minions to do her heavy lifting for her. Like @DaytimeFan I can't stand Todd either and think he is coasting on her coattails. SNL Notes: Oh Kate McKinnon is going to be bigger than Wiig if she finds the right vehicle. She is so good at getting into different charactes and finding the human in there. I think Aidy is also a comic genius, especially in the 90s Wilson Philips knockoff song Christmas Candle with McKinnon and Emma Stone. It was so full of perfect early 90s details that it literally took me back to watching Another World with Anne Heche and Days of our Lives just before it went stratospheric! Twin Bed is another awesome one showcasing all the SNL women.
  21. Kim Zolciak meets Rinna meets Tamra meets Shannon & David Beador meets Ken! Aidy Bryant totally lost it when they started filming lol. She's a RH fan apparently.
  22. @Soaplovers Haha I now realize Faye would be Kyle's guard-dog/water-carrier if she was a HW, doing her dirty work so Kyle doesn't get accused of being a b*tch like she was in S2. I still have a grudging admiration for her game, tho. But yes, she is a slippery personality, and I don't think she managed to dispel that even on her last season (with Kathryn). @Gray Bunny Wasn't nuts about Tinsley at first glance and still feel she is one of the few dispensable members on RHONY. However, she is sweet and harmless, and her mother Daaaaaaaale is LIFE. I think Daaaaale should be a HW, actually. When I watched RHONY properly (basically a second go-around), I appreciated Tinsley more. If anything, I thought Sonja looked much worse for being such a b*tch to her.
  23. Bingo! Kathryn pointed out the other sniper from the side was Erika herself, and it didnt fit Bravo's narrative for their new kween. At Reunion, Erika was laying into Kathryn for betraying her confidence (similar to how she laid into Dorit one season later) -- and nobody pointed out the obvious, which was that CAMERAS WERE SET UP AND FILMING THEM. This wasn't some Richards' Sisters Whispering in the Bathroom scene. Erika said what she said on camera, but she didn't want to answer for it, so she deflected onto Kathryn, who must have been like 'IT WAS ON CAMERA!!'. It's still early to make a full judgement on Teddi. ( I had to watch NYC a second time to appreciate Tinsley). Teddi is very controlled and wedded to the image of herself that she is trying to project. She is nervous and outside her comfort zone. I do appreciate that she makes up her own mind about people and sticks to her guns. After this last episode, she can come across as humorless. I don't think she necessarily is IRL tho. Man, I wish Faye had been more accepted by the fans! She was so slinky and shady.
  24. Said it before and I'll say it again, Kathryn should never have been let go. She gets stuck right in, and she's got history with Rinna and with Faye and L.A. folklore! Plus she's got a chateau in Normandy. I mean, a trip out there has got to be better than a lecture on tardiness and proper glassware -- which is basically what Teddi and Dorit gave us this entire episode. @DaytimeFan thanks for explaining! Hope we hear some good news for Luann soon.
  25. That first comment (kimcassesa) tho
