Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
ATL It was good to get back into Atlanta after so long I missed most of last season because I wasn't really feeling the newness of it, especially the new production style with too many jump cuts and the extra-shaky camerawork. Seems like it's something I still need to get accustomed to. Didn't mind all the baby stuff. The babies are beyond cute, and I prefer it to all the seasons devoted to somebody's wedding. I am really bored with the bridezilla stuff. BTW Riley and Ace really have strong Mama Joyce genes! Kenya returning is going to be good for the show. I'm curious to see if we get hints that her marriage was fake for the cameras like the blogs have been saying. Kandi is fine but that stuff with thirsty Sincerely was so contrived. Kandi pulls this [!@#$%^&*] every season and then acts like "What? Lil ole me?" We've been wise to this for 5 seasons now! She needs to let it go because it's not a good look. OLG food looks delicious though! Porsha's mother's voice really reminds me of Karen's on Potomac! I was surprised that I enjoyed Eva's scenes. But god I hate her VT shtick. Especially the "We're baaa-aaack!"

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
She's a fool, spurning a solid paycheck for that trifling tub! God, I wish Tinsley had some self-esteem. Jill Zarin filming is the best NYC news I have heard in weeks. If they are lacking for drama, they should also ask this one back:

@Soaplovers Kenya and Nene have history, and one that has never been fully acknowledged or dealt with on RHOA. I think Nene should have been punished for shoving the show runner/cameraperson last year. By the same token, having two alpha females like Kenya and Nene share the same stage is not bad news for ATL. @Chris B thanks! I wondered if it was for B&B that we weren't seeing Denise. I heard that B&B's film schedule is very accommodating for guest stars like her. Maybe she is withdrawing from BH a little because she finds Erika's obsession creepy. Lol. I'm like you, I keep holding out hope that BH will return back to the good ole basics. I also hope that the karma looming over certain HWs will be televised, lol. We just have to wait and see!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@Chris B So I guess Denise is no longer a series regular on BH? God, I am really hoping Garcelle will be fire (look at her take that centre spot!) but she is still a newbie who can only do so much. The rest of these women will be desperate to play nicey-nice, if only to prove the point that LVP is an evil Bond Villain who plots the demise of female friendships everywhere. So let's pretend Rinna and Teddy adore each other, and that Dorit is now soul sisters with the blonde newbie! Yeah, that'll work. In other news, Kyle is wearing her Halloween witch's wig, and Erika as usual looks like she just smelled something stank.

The problem is the peachy background. It doesn't make the yellow gowns pop. Also, i always get surprised seeing Eva holding a peach with that group. Like "Her? Really?" Either Kenya and Nene are being 'punished', or Bravo tried to balance the height difference among the women by putting The Talls at the end.

Kelly Dodd (there is only one Kelly whose name stands alone imo ) was rocking some clown-makeup contouring on WWHL. And Brandi's face is now almost unrecognizable. She also mentioned that she and Kyle are now 'close.' How interesting. What a coincidence. LOL Andy looked like Kelly Dodd had just pulled out an XXL strap-on made of steel! Tamra is looking at some MAJOR comeuppance. I suspect she doesn't want the same fate as Vicki so she is working extra hard this year. And as awful as she is, Tamra is crucial to OC right now. Without her, who would take on the Rage Monster? Who would body-shame Emily? Who would passive-aggressively bully Braunwyn? We would have nothing to talk about or rage against except for Gina's fake accent. Like watching two primates battle it out on National Geographic! Wasn't the game up in Napa when he kept his mic on while calling his wife a see-you-next-Tuesday on the phone to his mistress?

IA. Gina was awful, and I say this as someone highly turned off by Brown Wind. This was a coordinated set-up. Tamra, Shannon and the others were watching like they totally knew this would happen and even chiming in with prepared questions. This episode reminded me how much I have missed Vicki (no Steve thankfully). Taking a call from the office. Getting cake smeared on her face. "i don't want her at my funeral" re: Kelly -- classic Vicki. Kelly was on WWHL with Brandi Glanville (pretending to be BFFs so that Brandi can join RHOC) and she can barely string a sentence together. "F*ckin assh*le, f*ckin b*tch." People say Kelly is 'making' the OC this season but IDA. Dallas: Finally -- the wedding. I'm glad we don't have to wait 18 long episodes for this to happen. Whenever I see Leeanne's bridal gown, I think about how she pressured the designer to get it for free, lol. Kary and Brandi have, I am sorry to say, awful daughters. If I had kids talking to me like that, I would confiscate their sewing machine/scooter with a quickness. These women need to stop begging for the approval of their daughters. The D'Andra/Mama Dee drama continues in a Lorimar Pictures production of 'Housewives Landing.' Begging for money dressed in an evening gown and shoes with silver wings on them! In that fancy La Mirage restaurant! Mama Dee cackling like a witch! Amazing.

@Gray Bunny I LOVE this idea! And I know what you mean. I've been enjoying OC and Dallas (perhaps for all the wrong reasons), but I can tell people here are waiting for Atlanta. Ok, mine are: Non-OG that made the biggest impact: NYC: Sonja, Dorinda. NJ: Marge BH: Brandi, Rinna, Erika's glam squad. Unfortunately. ATL: Kandi, Phaedra, Kenya. OC: Tamra, Shannon. Melbourne: Gamble. Best One-Hit Wonder: Kathryn, BH. Karent, Miami. Christina, Vancouver. Real Housewives of Auckland. I'd still take Jules, NYC over Tinsley. Worst one-hit wonder: Amber Marchese, NJ. Larsa and Christy, Miami. Who, you may ask? Larsa = the lost Kardashian sister. So awful that even Pimpmomma Kris never wanted to claim her. The other one was a highly mediocre-looking 'model' too dumb to live. Carlton, BH. Best return: Bethenny, NYC. S7 was great! Worst return: Jacqueline to NJ. Lydia to OC. Most iconic taglines: "Throw me to the wolves, and I shall return leading the pack." LVP, BH "I run with a fa-a-abulous circle of people." Jill, NYC. “When people tell me I’m fake, I know they’re just pulling my leg.” Aviva, NYC. Messiest HW (good): Sonja, NYC. Dorinda, NYC. Tamra, OC. Without her, this season would be another bust. Messiest (bad): Rinna, Dorit, BH. Just awful. Most missed HW: Weirdly, I've been wanting Caroline (NJ), Phaedra (ATL), Jill (NYC), TayShanna (BH) back lately. They're not my faves by any stretch, but they are needed right now. Don't EVER return: Kim Zolciak OWNS this category. Meghan, OC. I feel bad for the troubles she is going through... but honestly I'd rather have Jimmy. Brandi, BH. As badly as BH needs someone like her, I just can't anymore. Every 6 months, RealityTea posts about her latest podcast, and every 6 months, it is the same thing: "I got fired / lost a lawsuit because of LVP!" NO, you got fired because you shoved Kyle on camera / ran your mouth on WWHL. It's been +6 years since BH. Time to find a new revenue stream. Worst sham marriage: Are Teresa & Joe even considered a sham anymore? LOL. Erika & Tom, Rinna & Harry, BH. Most improved: Potomac. Disappointing: BH wins hands down. But Atlanta is runner up. They need the Carlos King production team back. Best: NYC! May I add another category? Comeuppances that are long overdue: Tamra, OC. Kyle and Rinna, BH. Comedic-legend-in-her-own-mind Vyle threw her own sister under the bus, not to mention pals Camille, Taylor and LVP. Tried to smear the witchy one as antisemitic. Meanwhile, Rinna has become an exterminating robot without empathy or kindness. She literally preys on weakness. 'Friends Of' who should be HWs: Faye Resnick, BH. Danielle Staub, NJ. HWs you love to watch whenever, wherever: La Dame Karen, Potomac. Luann, Ramona, Sonja, NYC. Lydia, Giner, Melbourne.

I did not understand those Mama Dee scenes either. She loves the attention, but she also loves being seen as the wise lady/voice of reason. Last season at reunion she made a big show of wanting to bring D'Andra and Leeanne back together. She also has her own podcast dispensing advice, apparently. This was a bad look on her, as gripping as it was to watch. I don't know if we will get any backstory on why she is treating her daughter this way, but I felt like she downright despises her. Can't help but feel bad for D'Andra about that. Lol I mention Faye Dunaway because she appeared in a Columbo back.in the late 80s/early 90s and the mansion in that episode resembled the Mama Dee mausoleum! I hope we get further glimpses of that Simmons home this season. The curving front staircase! The bedroom! The giant photo of Mama Dee and D'Andra from 1989!

RHOD: Damn, Mama Dee is such a mean bitch! Don't get me wrong: a bitch is exactly what Dallas needs. And even though D'Andra is doing some Poor Little Rich Girl whining, Mama Dee is cruel to raise a daughter so dependent on her and then delight in her failures. It was more than Mama Dee wanting D'Andra to go it alone. She was literally laughing in her daughter's face about losing the company and having no money. I wonder if she has run through D'Andra's trust yet. It's kind of sad that D'Andra and Leeanne no longer have a friendship because as far as mothers go, they have a lot that they could bond over. D'Andra in her VT said that her mother controls her trust until the day she dies. And for a moment, I thought RHOD was going to enter some Columbo murder mystery territory! And speaking of Columbo: Dee's house. I had to rewind 3 times to look at it again. That was some Fslcon Crest/Columbo-level Beverly Hills mansion circa 1988! I felt like Faye Dunaway would appear at any moment as a special guest star. Kary was right to be pissed at Leeanne crashing her drinks. Kary and D'Andra are barred from Leeanne's bridal lunch, but Leeanne shows up demanding to be invited to her drinks party? Bye, girl. Looks to me like most of the cast are rebelling and don't really want to pretend to be chummy with Leeanne anymore. I still feel that Brandi is a sniper from the side in that regard. That fight between Kam and Steph is some BH-level petty nonsense. There definitely felt to me like there was a racial edge to that whole scene. Especially the Don't Touch Me stuff from Dr Deb who claimed the guy manhandled her. We saw none of that in the footage. And the thirst was coming off Braunwyn and her mom in waves. It felt like they were looking to cause a scene on camera.

Season 2 was literally THE BEST. Game Night. Brandi. Twenny-Five Thousand. We Don't Say That He Hits You! Kyle's White Party and the Armstrongs banished from the social circle. Hawaii! Adrienne and Kyle's plot to bring down LVP at reunion completely backfiring! And I don't know why this gif makes me LOL because it is awful. But Kim was literally living her best life that night.

I've been loving it too! So random! But so fast-moving. First of all, Brown Wind is doing the MOST. Last week's makeout sesh! And what was that outfit she was wearing to OC Fashion Week? (And by 'Week' I mean 'Two Hours on a Wednesday'). Way to overshadow your daughter's fashion show of black leotards! (Which may have actually been designed and paid for by somebody else, but I digress). And looks like Dr Deb is firmly on the thirsty train as well. Picking a fight with a security guard, then getting Brown Wind to pick a fight with one of the organisers. That Kathy woman was something else! I can only describe her as the Kim D of the OC -- if Kim D was a creepy psychopath. When she used her mic to ratchet up the fight a notch and diss the HWs in front of a (literally) captive audience? It was kind of amazing. I wonder if her crazy ass will be invited to reunion. I also really loved Kelly this episode who was hilarious and a voice of reason throughout. When she clocked Gina's new peroxide hair and said what we are all thinking (VERY UGLY), I practically clapped. Shannon annoyed me so much though. I was totally Team Eldest Daughter who wanted to slap her. Major foreshadowing with Matt stalking Gina.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Dallas is a slow burn, and it feels more like a mini-series than a series? I don't know how to explain it. There is a certain slightness to it that maybe some of the other franchises don't have. Maybe because it has a very small, tight cast, and Leeanne is such a dominant figure that sometimes it's hard to see anyone but her. With S3, it wasnt until the episode where Mama Dee invited everyone to her ranch house that I got into the season. This new trailer.... is not a great look for Leeanne. She has been angry and irritable all season long. I think it is because she feels D'Andra and Kary are out to bring her down and that she can trust nobody in the cast. But doubling down on the 'Mexican' comment -- yikes.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Upside: Wendy seems v smart and connected in DC. Has a real job. Not Charrisse. Downside: Too normal and grounded to get messy ? Should have been Katie. I wonder why she agreed to do this. She seems to have commentated on a lot of political news shows. Surely that kind of work is in-demand right now.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'd much rather see Katie back then Charrisse tbh. Candiace better watch out, otherwise she is going to find herself divorced and without a RH paycheck. Nobody wants to be near the rage monster. I wouldn't skip it. It wasn't a boring episode, but it was an unexpected one. Braunwyn and Tamra were especially thirsty for camera-time. Re: Dallas, I think D'Andra will never apologise fully to Leeanne. You can see the look in her eyes when Leeanne is mentioned: she literally cannot stand her. The jealousy and resentment is REAL. I thought there was a chance in Mexico when they turned to each other and kind of helped each other drunkenly up the crazy stairs of Kary's house. But that moment has passed. Leeanne does not want that "fat cow," as she called her, in any of the all-cast wedding events, which means she wants her off the show. All the other cast members kind of put up with the fact that Leeanne is calling the shots to varying degrees, but they resent it, too. The irony IMO is that D'Andra's standalone story is probably the most interesting to me. The business stuff tied up with family. That convo she had with Travis a few weeks back was fascinating! BTW D'Andra is such a study in emotional abuse and how inherited money stunts you as a person. She reminds me a bit of Sad Boy Kendall on Succession, lol. I am off the Mama Dee train, I think. Wildly entertaining as she is, she is cruel and abusive to her daughter. Giving her daughter a bankrupt company so that her daughter will never gain confidence in herself in business is cruel. It was done to ensure D'Andra stays dependent on her mom. Plus I wonder if Mama Dee has already spent the money in D'Andra's trust, too. In some ways, D'Andra resents Leeanne because she reminds her of her mother. Leeanne has a domineering personality and can be emotionally manipulative. IA that apart from this story, something seems to have stalled on RHOD.

She can be, but she is also increasingly out-of-control. When Ashley was winding her up, Chris had to take Candiace aside to calm her down. It barely worked. The other women know this, they know they can rile her up, so I fully expect Ash/Giz/Rob to continue doing that for sh*ts and giggles. Giz HATES Monique so added incentive. I just wish Candiace wouldn't let herself get used this way. I think she needs (a) to cut her mother out of her life and (b ) anger management. Because when she uses words instead of fists, she holds her own (see reunion). I don't know how this fight started, but I don't blame Monique for losing it after a drink to the face. There is only so much a person can take. You know, I could see Karen not siding with Candiace, but not cutting ties either. She might take her under her wing to try and give her advice and calm her down. Karen seems to show Candiace maternal care that she is currently lacking from her own mom.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Wow. Obviously I want to watch this ASAP, but I would take January! They can shelve BH alongside Tardy for the Party. I can just imagine Gizelle, Ashley and Robyn smirking at all this. A fight between Monique and Candiace plays right into their hands, and they have long tried to provoke Candiace into losing her [!@#$%^&*]. Candiace clearly has anger issues (probably incredible frustration with her mother which she is deflecting elsewhere). And Monique is going to react to a glass of wine in the face. One of the nicest parts of the reunion was both Mo and Candiace saying they regretted the most their friendship going south, and I had hoped this meant they would make up. Guess not!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@Chris B Thanks! Not long now, but I wish ATL was starting this weekend! Re: BH. I have this mental image of production cracking the whip and screaming "You better be a bitch, ho!" I'm not sure what that says about the show (or me as a viewer) when it can no longer be entertaining unless everyone is vile to each other. The mantra for the last 5 years has been that LVP was the root of all evil over at RHOBH. Now that she's gone, the other women are trying not to ruin the narrative and expose themselves as being as treacherous as they claim she was. Unfortunately, unlike, say, RHONY, they have nothing else to offer but backstabbing.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOD: I don't know what it is this week with RH episodes. Am I hallucinating or have they gotten more random? Dallas had a solid episode going for 20 mins, and then they decided to go to a haunted house? What a pointless contrivance. It reminded me of Kyle inviting her charlatan 'medium' over (we all know the only real medium is Alison Dubois!) to tell us that Marilyn Monroe is sitting next to Lisa Rinna. I tend to feel for D'Andra more than i do Leeanne, but this last episode, i was Team Leeanne all the way. Kary is doing way too much. Leeanne can invite whomever she likes to her damn wedding. Kary is obvs doing D'Andra's bidding (BH styles -- not a great precedent to set) because D'Andra has been sidelined to the periphery this season and risks being removed from the show altogether. I don't know whose side to take in the Kameron vs Stephanie fallout. I see both POVs, but kind of feel Kameron is being petty about it. P.S.: Do we know when NJ and Atlanta start again?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Lol, it felt like one of those Buffy or True Blood episodes where everybody drinks a magic potion and starts acting completely different/shagging someone they shouldn't. On the upside: fights were resolved. This was the nicest Shannon has ever been. Everyone was hanging out. I didn't even mind seeing Megan, and god knows I never could stand her self-righteous ass. That Gina-Emily tiff was way too stupid and childish. The image of them making up while Tamra and Braunwyn tongued each other in a desperate bid for relevancy is burned on my brain. ITA with Vicki about Brown Wind -- she was acting way too thirsty and OTT. Tamra too of course, because she badly needs a deflection.

Don't forget 15 hours of footage of the women getting glam squaded to look like clowns at a circus, followed by 20 memes of Dorit with a million hair clips in her hair. Serving us 'lewks'. Taylor would be outing those law suits with a quickness while also trying to scam free lip fillers from Dr Nassif!
