Tradition, he claims, and his appreciation for everything she's done for the company. Elizabeth smiles, though she wonders how he feels about her treatment of Sophia. Though CC doesn't agree with it, he says he understands her resentment toward her sister. CC tells her that he'd wish she'd lighten up on Sophia, that she's grown into a very different woman than she was back then. CC also reminds her that it was their father who pitted them against one another, not Sophia. ----Warren and Kelly come up for air from their kiss. Kelly looks at him and Warren grins back at her. "Was that out of line? Not that I'd take it back......" "It's New Year's Warren. Any other time, you might have been out of line" "Really? So if I did it again, say now, that would be out of line?" Kelly smiles at him. "Guess you won't get to find out," she says, walking away from him. Warren lets out a painful chuckle, grinning at her backhanded rejection. ----The elevator door opens and Mary & Mason come apart from their New Year's Kiss. "Alright, Mason, I held up my end of the deal. Your turn. It's time you talk to your wife." Mary spots her across the room and suggests he start now. Mason looks at her, telling her how much he has missed her. She smiles and says she missed him back. "Go to her Mason. Please." Mason gives her a look and heads toward his wife. Ted approaches Mary and wishes her a Happy New Year, giving her a kiss on the cheek. She hugs him and smiles. "Gee, you disappear for 20 years and the whole town has a new face! You look good Ted." "So do you. How's Christie? Mason tells me you went to see her...." "She's doing very well for herself, thanks for asking. Living in Colorado..." "Married?" "Nope. If you'll excuse me, I need to go freshen up. Good to see you, Ted." Lily walks up behind Ted and wishes her ex a Happy New Year. He does the same and she asks him if that was Mary Duvall. He tells her that it was and she's completely dumbfounded by her return. Ted tells Lily that he's been meaning to talk to her- Angela told him about their confrontations and it needs to stop. Lily admits to her behavior but tries to warn Ted about the kind of woman he's married. Ted claims he's well aware and doesn't need her interfering in his love life. Lily says she won't, though he shouldn't expect as much where Angela is concerned. Ted again warns Lily to stay away from Angela. "I would have been perfectly happy to never have heard the name Angela Cassidy. But the fact is she is the one who struck first, and strike she did. Don't expect me to just roll over and play dead for that woman because I'm not gonna do that Ted. Whether you like it or not." Lily walks away, leaving Ted annoyed. Rafe is shown watching him from across the room. He approaches Ted and asks what he's done to Lily. "What goes on between myself and Lily is none of your business Rafe." "Just stay away from her Ted. You've hurt her enough already, don't you think?" "Funny. I could say the same about you," Ted shoots back and walks away. ---Mason approaches Julia and tells her that he'd like to talk. Julia remarks that men always seem to air their grievances in public places and asks why that is. "Because inherently, we're cowards, so rather than risk an honest argument in private, we go for the controlled discussion in public." "Well, I've got news for you- I'm married to the owner of this hotel, so I have no qualms about making quite a scene here. But go ahead. If this is where you feel we should have this discussion, then by all means........have at it. The floor is all yours, Mason." ----Mary enters the ladies room and is horrified to find Sophia lying unconcious on the floor. She immediately bursts through the doors and yells for someone to call an ambulance. Seeing the commotion, Mason runs to Mary from what he's doing, with Julia following not far behind. Mary tells Mason to go upstairs and get her medical bag while she does CPR on Sophia. Kelly hears what's going on and shrieks. "Mother! It's MOTHER we need an ambulance for? Oh my God, Mary, what's wrong with her?" "I don't know, but she's unconcious and unresponsive." Julia, Kelly, and Mary head to the bathroom while Mason races off to the elevators. Cruz and Eden spot him running and ask what the commotion is all about. He tells them it's Sophia- she's unconcious. "Mama! Oh my God, Mama...." Eden heads off to the ladies room, with Cruz following her. Elizabeth is shown, having listened in to everything that transpired. She sees Pamela walking toward the Hotel front door and follows her. Elizabeth catches up with her just outside of the door, grabs her by the arm and turns her around. "What do you want?" Pamela asks, agitated. "Let go of me for Heaven's Sake." "What have you done to my sister?" Elizabeth asks, not letting go. "I have no idea what you're talking about...." "I'm talking about the fact that I saw you follow her to the ladies room and not 5 minutes later, she's lying unconcious on the floor!" "Don't be ridiculous! I saw her in there & she said she wasn't feeling well. I assumed she'd had too much to drink. She's unconcious?" "Don't play dumb with me, Pamela. I saw the look you gave me. What are you up to?" "Honestly, I don't know what you're talking about- I looked at you because I was giving you an opportunity to be alone with your precious CC at midnight, that's all. And don't act so concerned about your sister- you hate Sophia more than I do...." "That doesn't mean I want her dead." "Anymore than it means I do. Your sister has been sick for a while, Elizabeth. Ask her doctor. She's been hiding it from her family for some time now. Now if there's nothing else, I have a phone call I'd like to make, excuse me." ----CC races toward the ladies room and flings the door open, seeing Mary performing CPR on his unconcious wife. He falls to his knees and grabs his wifes hand, as Mary kneels on the other side of her, continuing with CPR. Finally, the EMTs arrive and Mary tells them the situation. They immediately load her onto a stretcher and put her on oxygen. They rush her through the Hotel Lobby, with CC running with them, and Mary as well. They pass by Eden, Kelly, Julia, Cruz, Mason, and Ted in the ladies room. Outside they run her past Rosa & Santana, then by Keith, Gina, Lily, Warren, Laken, Lionel, and Augusta, followed by Rafe, Samantha, and Adriana, and finally, Angela and Joann. They run her through the front doors, as Elizabeth watches them approaching. "CC. CC! Is she going to be alright?" "I don't know, Elizabeth, I don't know....." He walks away from her and hops into the ambulance, taking Sophia's hand back into his. "Hold on, Sophia. You've got to fight. Please fight- I can't lose you....." Pamela is shown on her phone watching the scene, as the back doors to the ambulance close. "She's on her way there now....." she says into the receiver. (EXT: Santa Barbara Medical Center) ----The EMTs, Mary, and CC rush Sophia into the hospital, where Dr. Ben Normandy is waiting for them. CC is told he cannot go back with them and begs Ben to please take care of his wife. Ben promises that they'll do everything they can for her. Mary then promises CC that she's going to stay with her as well and he's appreciative. Ted, Angela, and Kelly arrive first to the hospital and Kelly walks straight up to her father and gives him a huge hug. Kelly begins to sob and CC kisses the top of her head. "It's going to be alright. She's going to pull through this- I know she will." "What happened? Has she been sick? I mean....where did this come from?" Kelly asks. "No....she's had some headaches lately, but nothing serious. Really, I don't know what this could be....." Mason, Julia, Cruz and Eden arrive at the hospital and ask CC what's going on with Sophia. He says that he doesn't know, but it doesn't seem to be a heart attack. He tells them they thought at first it was a stroke, but she doesn't seem to be exhibiting the normal behavior of a stroke victim. Eden sees a nurse come out of the ER and asks her if there's any word on her mother. The nurse tells them that they're working on her now. Eden asks when they'll be able to see her and the nurse says they'll have to wait to hear from Dr. Normandy for that. Rosa, Santana, Lionel, Augusta, Laken, and Warren arrive from the party. CC immediately walks up to Rosa and gives her a hug. Rosa hugs him tightly as he begins to break down. "Aye, quiete, quiete. She's strong, your wife. She'll fight- and you'll be there, fighting right with her....." Laken offers Ted her support as he walks up to her and hugs her, beginning to sob. He thanks her for coming, and thanks Lionel & Augusta as well. Angela looks on at her husband, in such agony. Mason breaks away from the family and friends, taking a seat in the lobby, looking at each of them worry. Julia walks up and sits next to him. He sits there, not looking at her, still on the outside looking in at his family. Julia takes his hand in hers and rubs it gently. He looks down at her hand on his and looks up at Julia, staring in her eyes. Julia looks back at him, her eyes offering him the comfort he so needs. He looks back at her and hugs her, embracing her tightly. Julia begins to cry. Suddenly, everyone's attention is diverted when Ben & Mary emerge from the Emergency Room. They look at everyone in the room, with solemn looks on both of their faces. "Ben? Is she going to be okay?" an upset CC asks. Ben cannot bring himself to even look at CC at first. "My God, Ben, what is it? Mary?" "Sophia has a brain aneurism in an advanced stage......I had been treating it with medication but...." "Wait a minute! What do you mean you had been treating it? How long has this been going on?" "She hadn't told you? A couple of months now. I had given her medication to keep it from rupturing but ....... it was so far advanced.........either the meds were ineffective or she stopped taking them.....but the aneurism.....I don't know how to say this.... It burst..." "I don't understand. What does that mean? What can you do for her? What are you going to do for my wife.....She....Mary....What...." "I'm sorry to tell you this, but the rupture.......It's left her.....Brain dead....." Kelly shrieks "noooooo" that it cannot be and collapses in her father's arms. Eden hugs Cruz and everyone else reacts to the situation with great pain and tears. The camera zooms in on CC, in shock, total devastation and confusion........ THE END............For Today

Great- who's gonna warn all these damn ingrates that they're in grave danger? Good work KR. So far, Julie's still alive and kickin, so I can't fault ya. I kind of have a feeling about who might be doing this, but I can't for the life of me figure out why! Can't wait to watch it all unfold.

Very astute Wendy! That's a very accurate assessment of what I've set up. There really is no one single villain, save maybe for Sophia & Elizabeth's father. Frankly, I don't consider Sophia a villain in the situation myself & I'm writing it! And I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be hearing more from you as the week progresses......

Sniff. The scenea between Jason & Carly was so sweet. He had such chemistry with Sarah Brown's Carly, moreso than the others. Very good job on the wedding- I know it took you a while to get it done but I think it turned out very nicely Tish!

Adriana compliments him on the look, while Rafe pokes fun at him. Cruz insists he's doing it for Eden, since she's hosting the annual charity event at the Capwell Hotel. Cruz tells his brother he doesn't look too shabby himself, and asks who he's cleaning up for. Rafe claims he just wanted to look nice, as Eden walks down the stairs, dressed in a long black dress with her hair pulled up. "Wouldn't have to do with a certain Blake girl we all know, would it?" Rafe smiles. "She called and asked if I was gonna be there. That's all. We're friends for now." "Uh huh. Friends." Eden says. Cruz compliments his wife on how beautiful she looks and kisses her. Eden says they need to be leaving, as guests are probably already arriving. Cruz agrees. Adriana wishes her mother luck and tells them that she and Rafe will be along shortly. After they leave, Adriana asks Rafe where he and Lily stand exactly. "Like I said, we're friends. We're not jumpin into anything, if that's what you're asking. We've hurt each other a lot in the past- neither one of us will get over that overnight." Adriana smiles and tells him they ought to be going. As they grab the keys, Rafe's cell phone rings. "Hello............Actually, A and I were about to head over there.............No, it's no problem..........Really, it's not. I'd be happy to. We'll be over in a minute........Bye..............." He turns to Adriana. "That was Samantha- she needs a ride to the party and wants you to help her get ready." "Where's Aunt Julia?" "She didn't say....just that she needed us." Adriana rolls her eyes and says they'd better get over there. They head out. (EXT: The Capwell Hotel) ----Lionel & Augusta arrive at the party and are greeted by Ted & Angela. Angela mentions that she had just met Laken the day before. "I'm sorry she didn't make it," Angela says "Did she already leave back to New York?" "Not to worry, Angela," Laken says, entering with her brother Warren. "I wouldn't miss this party for anything." She greets Angela, then Ted. "Good to see you again Ted." "Good to see you too and can I say WOW! You look amazing," Ted says, looking her revealing red and gold dress up and down, noticing the body it barely covers. Angela kisses Warren hello, trying to ignore the two of them. Augusta is surprised when she sees Pamela approaching. Pamela greets Ted & Angela, and Augusta asks her what she's doing there. Pamela reminds her that she's staying at the hotel and since her son was going to be at this party, she thought she should be there as well. Lionel mentions that Sophia & CC will be there as well, to which Pamela replies that she has no reason to hide from them. Pamela asks Augusta where Julia is and she claims not to know. Pamela says she probably won't come, especially after everything that's been going on. Augusta asks what that's supposed to mean. "For starters, I ran into my son yesterday......with a Mary Duvall.....heard of her?" "Of course I have, what's your point?" "Nothing, nothing, she's a lovely person, at least I thought so. But when Julia saw them together.....well, needless to say she saw the writing on the wall...." "You crazy sanctimonious, bit..." "Ah, ah, ah, I wouldn't say anything I'd regret, Augusta. Your son's right over there rememeber..." They look across the room at Warren, who's still talking with Angela & Ted. Pamela looks at Augusta, knowingly. Augusta backs down as Pamela walks away. Lionel approaches Augusta, asking her what's wrong. "Oh, it's nothing. Just sometimes, I really can't stand that woman...." (EXT: Capwell Enterprises) ---Elizabeth completes some last minute reading in her office, dressed in the blue gown she's wearing to the party. She's startled when Joann knocks on her door. Joann enters, dressed in her purple dress for the evening. Elizabeth asks her what she's doing there at the office and Joann offers that she could ask her the same thing. Elizabeth tells her she just wanted to finish some things up before going to the Hotel. She asks Joann again what she's doing there. "I needed to talk to you and I didn't want to do it with everyone else in the office." "Oh? What about?" "Gina. She's on my case- threatening to blow the lid on the whole takeover thing, and my relationship with Kirk." "Is that all you're worried about? Gina? I thought it was serious....." "It is serious. If CC suspects for one minute that I....." "That you what? That you were in on this thing with me from the beginning? That you baited Kirk Cranston into attempting a takeover of Capwell Enterprises so I could come in and take advantage? Gina is out of her league, Joann. She's a pawn- has been from the beginning. So what that she thinks you were working with Kirk? There are a dozen ways you could talk your way out of that, especially since you ended up 'saving' Capwell. Just relax. Everything has gone smoothly so far and will continue to unless you or I does something to mess it up. Leave Gina to me- I've dealt with women like her in business for years. No way am I going to let her ruin everything I've been working for." "But why Elizabeth? Why is this so important to you?" Elizabeth stands there silently and flashes back to years before, waking up in bed with CC Capwell. They look into each other's eyes and he tells her he's falling in love with her. Elizabeth asks him what he's going to do about Sophia and he tells her doesn't know- that he loves Sophia as well and doesn't want to hurt her. The scene changes to Sophia confronting Elizabeth about her affair with CC. Sophia calls Elizabeth a slut, telling her that CC came clean about everything. Sophia sternly warns her sister that she's not just going to give up her fiance for her. The scene changes to Elizabeth at a doctor's office, with the doctor informing her that she's 4 months pregnant. The scene changes to Elizabeth telling her father about the pregancy. Angry with her, he demands to know who the father is and she insists it's CC. Sophia walks in on this and cannot believe what she's hearing. Sophia accuses Elizabeth of making the whole thing up, but Elizabeth shows her the report. Sophia coldly says that it could be any number of men who impregnated her, so how is she so sure it's CC? Elizabeth insists to both of them that CC is the only man she's slept with. Sophia is devastated, saying a scandal like this could ruin her career. Their father, ever thinking of money, informs Elizabeth that this baby doesn't exist. She rubs her belly, insisting that it does, but he tells her he won't allow her to do this to her sister. He chases her up to her room & locks her in there. He makes a phone call. The scene changes to Sophia & their father driving Elizabeth to a man's home for an illegal abortion. They arrive and see the room he'll be doing it in, with sterile materials and the hospital bed. Elizabeth wails and screams that she won't let them do this to her and tries to leave. Her father stops her and forces her back into the room. Elizabeth begs Sophia not to let them do this to her but Sophia cannot even look at her sister. She gets up and walks out of the room as their father holds Elizabeth down while the man injects her, knocking her out. The flashback fades back into Elizabeth's present-day face. "I have my reasons, Joann. I have my reasons." (EXT: The Capwell Hotel) ---Guests continue to arrive at the party, as Eden makes an announcement, thanking everyone for coming there and toasting to a better year for Capwell Hotels, as well as all of Capwell Enterprises. Santana and Rosa arrive and Santana is absolutely thrilled to see Cruz. Cruz gives her a big hug, telling her she looks beautiful as ever. Santana thanks her ex-husband for the compliment. Eden walks up and greets Santana warmly. Eden attempts to make small talk about Santana's work in Mexico but Santana is short with her and ends up excusing herself. Unfortunately, she ends up bumping into Keith Timmons and Gina Blake because of it. "They'll let anybody into these things, huh Keith?" Gina says, mocking Santana. "Obviously- the two of you got in, didn't you? Nice to see you too Gina...I'll send Brandon your love the next time he calls......Me" "How long are you in town for Santana? You know, Angel Ramirez was just released from prison. You ought to give him a call- maybe he'll give you a little free rock for the new year....." "You are such a b!tch. No wonder nobody stays married to you. Even that piece of slime (pointing at Keith) got smart and left you. Brandon, the boy you raised, seems to want little to do with you, your ex-husbands can't stand you.....It's a wonder that you have a reason to wake up in the morning." Gina goes to slap her, but Keith holds her back, as Santana walks away. ---Kelly arrives at the party and spots Warren talking with Pamela. She interrupts them and gives Warren a hug, telling him how good it is to see him. Kelly asks Pamela if she'd excuse them, and she refuses. Warren gives her a look and she rolls her eyes and walks off. "What are you doing looking so cozy with Pamela Conrad of all people? Isn't she old enough to be..." "My mother? Yes. Pamela has.....information I could use. But forget about me- How are you? You look fantastic- Europe treated you quite well." "Thank you. It did. I loved it there, but I'm glad to be back happy. Just a word to the wise though Warren- I wouldn't trust anything that came out of Pamela Conrad's mouth if I were you." "Good advice." Julia says, approaching the two of them. She gives her nephew a hug and says hello to Kelly. Kelly asks her where Mason is, and Julia claims not to know or care. "What? What the hell has Capwell done to you now?" Warren asks. "Honestly Warren, I don't feel like talking about it right now..." (EXT: Suite at the Capwell Hotel) ---Mason finishes putting on his tuxedo as Mary comes out, dressed in a gorgeous white beaded gown. Mason marvels at how beautiful she is and kisses her. Mary asks him if he's talked to Julia at all and he admits he hasn't. Mary insists that she doesn't want any part of a married man and that he needs to work things out with his wife. "I'm not sure I can do that." "Yes you can Mason. You love her- anybody can see that and she loves you. The two of you.....you can't live without each other and you should be together. Please, Mason. You need to at least try, for heaven's sake....You owe it to her, you owe it to your daughter, but mostly, you owe it to yourself." Mason ponders on it, saying that maybe he'll consider it.....if Mary kisses him at the stroke of midnight. Mary blushes and says that defeats the whole purpose, to which Mason replies he doesn't care. He walks up to her and kisses her passionately, and the two head down for the party. (EXT: The Capwell Hotel- Ballroom) ----Eden gets the guests ready, saying that it's only 1 minute until midnight. ---Rafe looks around for Lily, as he wants to kiss her at midnight. Instead, he finds Samantha, who asks him if he wouldn't mind being her midnight kiss. Rafe smiles and agrees to the gesture, though he still looks around for Lily, which Samantha notices. ---Edmund pulls Pamela aside and tells her that Sophia received the rest of her shots today and that the medication combining with them should show results very soon. Pamela is pleased and kisses Edmund, and he sneaks off, but not before sneaking a stare at CC and Sophia. ---Sophia tells CC that she's feeling a little light-headed and she's going to go to the ladies room. CC asks her to be back to kiss him at midnight and she says she surely will. Elizabeth watches from across the room as Sophia walks to the ladies room. Pamela gives her a nod and a smile, and she looks away. ---Ted looks into Angela's eyes, telling her how happy he is to spend 2007 with her as husband and wife. She smiles back at him and kisses him, as Laken looks on. ---CC bumps into Elizabeth as the countdown begins. Lily walks into the party and looks for Rafe. As the clock strikes midnight, CC surprises Elizabeth with a tender New Year's Kiss. All of the kissing couples are shown in the room. Lily watches as Rafe kisses Samantha. Warren surprises Kelly with a kiss. Cruz & Eden kiss, wishing each other a Happy New Year, with Santana looking on. Lionel & Augusta kiss, as she spots Pamela staring at her. Pamela smiles & walks to the ladies room. Keith passionately kisses Gina, and the rest of the partygoers are shown smiling, laughing, and drinking their champagne. The camera starts getting gittery, as it takes on Pamela's viewpoint, entering the ladies room. She sees Sophia, standing, leaning over the sink. Sophia looks back at her as the camera takes on her viewpoint, with Pamela going from clear to blurry. Blurry to clear. "Not feeling so well Sophia? What's the matter? Your head hurt ? A little dizzy maybe?" A confused Sophia tries to regain her composure as Pamela's voice echoes while she taunts her. "Don't worry, dear, everything's going to be just fine. I've waited a long time for this day. 45 years to be exact. That's how long ago it was when you took my life away from me without so much as batting an eye. My entire world crumbled around me at your doing and I watched as you got to live the happy life that you stole away from me, raising MY son and married to MY husband. But now, it's my turn. You see, Sophia, life has a funny way of repaying people, especially when we take matters into our own hands, as I have. And now, NOW, I'm going to take everything away from you just like you did to me." Sophia begins to fight to keep her balance, trying to mutter the word "HELP" "Help? Help? You? "Mary, Oh my God, is....is that really you? I....I....can't believe it" "Yes Kelly, it's me." She walks up and hugs her. "It's so good to see you. My, you look so different from when I last saw you." ( ) "Well it's been ages......what happened? Where have you been?" "It's a long story." Mason introduces Mary to Pamela. Julia, feeling uneasy about the entire situation, heads off to the ladies room. Mary notices this and excuses herself from the group. She follows Julia to the ladies room and finds her in there crying. Mary apologizes to her, saying that she didn't intend for this to happen. Julia tells her that she's not to blame, but Mary feels otherwise. "I should have told you I was coming back.....I didn't intend to, I really didn't, but after all that had happened....I thought about what you said and I knew that you were going to tell Mason, that the cat was going to be out of the bag no matter what I did. Knowing that, I couldn't just.....abandon him in the state I knew he was sure to be in. I had to face him myself. You should have never had that burden to begin with and for that, I'm forever sorry for. I hope you can forgive me." "Will you stop?" "Stop what?" Mary looks at her, dumbfounded. "Why do you have to be so damn good? It would be a whole lot easier if I could hate you, you know. I should hate you. I spent Christmas worried sick about my husband and the whole time he was with you, doing God knows what, not even bothering to call me or his own daughter...." "I didn't know that.....really, I didn't." "Could you just leave me alone please? I'd like to cry in peace." "Sure." She turns to exit and stops. "We didn't make love Julia. He loves you. You're his wife." She exits. "He loves you Mary." Julia breaks down, her voice cracking. "He loves you." (EXT: The Ramirez House) ---Adriana pulls up to the Ramirez driveway, with a wrapped gift on her passenger seat. She knocks on the door to the small home, looking around at the surroundings. Carla answers the door and asks who she is. Adriana politely tells Carla her name and asks if Marta is in. Carla says that she is, though she isn't sure that Marta would want to see her. Adriana understands and offers to leave the gift she brought with Carla. Marta emerges, seeing Adriana and her mother talking. "It's okay mama. I'll talk to her." Carla invites Adriana in and leaves the two girls alone. "What are you doing here?" Marta asks her. Adriana explains that she knows everything that went on between their fathers. She tells her that she overheard her parents talking about Angel having to go back to jail for Christmas. Marta asks Adriana what she cares, since they weren't exactly friends in High School. "I know that and I understand why. I don't know what I would have done having to grow up without my dad. I can't even imagine what that's been like for you." "No you can't. Are you gettin to the point princess? Cuz my patience is wearin..." Adriana offers her the gift. Marta is hesitant to take it, saying that she doesn't need anything from the Castillos. Adriana insists that she keep it, telling her she can open it after she leaves or even throw it out or give it away. Marta grudgingly opens it up and sees it's a phone. "Thanks, but I got a phone." "It's a video phone. So you can take videos & pictures with your dad, now that he's home with you...." "I hope you're not expecting a thank you. This doesn't exactly even the score. A video phone doesn't bring back 20 years of missed graduations, school dances, holidays, report cards, dinner with me and mama...." "It doesn't you're right. I guess it was a stupid thing to do. I'll get out of here......." She walks toward the door. "Merry Christmas." She exits and begins walking to her car. Marta opens the front door. "Adriana?!?" "Yeah?" ".......thanks" (EXT: The Capwell Hotel) ---Kelly asks Mason why she didn't get to see him for Christmas. Mason remarks that it's been a rough week, not to mention he had no idea she'd be in for the holiday. Kelly admits she wasn't sure that she was going to come, that it all kind of happened at the last minute. Pamela interrupts them, telling Mason that she has to leave to meet with an old friend. She tells him to call her and he promises he will. He asks her when she plans on going back to London and she vaguely tells him sometime in 2007. She walks off as Eden is arriving. Pamela says 'hello' as she passes and Eden ignores her. Eden walks briskly toward Mason & Kelly. "Mason, where the hell have you been? Julia's been worried sick about you. Why wouldn't you call at least on Chris...." Eden stops when she sees Mary approaching from the ladies room. She now realizes what's happened. "Hello Eden." "Oh, Mary, it's so good to see you...." The two women hug. "That's it?" Mason asks "No jaw drop? No "I can't believe your alive Mary"?............Oh my God, you knew..." "Yes, but only for a short time- Julia confided in me and I told her to come clean with you. By the looks of things....she has" Mason concurs and Mary tells him that Julia is awfully upset. She suggests that he wait for her while she goes to the clinic. Mason is hesitant but Mary insists that his wife needs him. Mason asks if he'll see her later and she tells him she'll call. He tells her that he'll be at the Hotel waiting, but Mary tells him she thinks he ought to be at home with his wife and daughter. She kisses him on the cheek good-bye. After she leaves, Mason starts to exit, though Eden tries to stop him. Mason claims he has to get to his office and stop by Capwell, and he'll talk to Julia later. Eden admonishes her brother, saying that Julia deserves better. "What about what I deserved Eden? Like the truth? Complete honesty from my wife?" "She was afraid, Mason." "That's no excuse, especially keeping something of this magnitude from me. Tell Julia I'll talk with her later." "Tell her yourself" Eden tells him. Mason starts to leave when Kelly stops him, asking if she can ride with him to Capwell. He agrees, saying it will give them time to catch up. They exit and Eden heads for the ladies room. (EXT: Capwell Enterprises) ---Ted sits in his office, typing up reports. Someone knocks on the door and he tells them to come in. He's pleasantly surprised to see Laken Lockridge walk in. "Why, Miss Lockridge, how long has it been?" "Too long" she replies. Ted stands up and embraces her, telling her that he'd heard through the grapevine that she was in town. "You heard right." Ted asks her how things are in New York and she tells him she's very happy there, working in ad sales for Vogue Magazine. He asks about her love life and she claims she was seeing someone for a while, but it didn't work out. Ted remarks that she's a wonderful girl and will find everything that she's looking for in a man. She thanks him, saying that he's always been good for her ego. "What about you? I hear through the grapevine that you got hitched....." "You heard right," Angela says, entering the office and showing her ring. "And who might this be Ted?" Ted realizes they've never met. Laken apologizes and introduces herself to Angela. Angela immediately realizes who she is- Lionel & Augusta's daughter and Ted's former flame. Angela tells Laken that she's heard a lot about her. "Don't believe any of it. Especially if it comes from him...." she says, pointing at Ted. Ted and Laken chuckle at the remark, which Angela doesn't find as affable as they seem to. Laken excuses herself, saying she just wanted to stop by to say hi to her old friend. She tells Ted it was good to see him and he says the same. "Nice to meet you." Laken says to Angela as she leaves, closing the door behind her. "Wish I could say the same." Angela then remarks "Do I detect a hint of jealousy in your tone?" "Of her? Please....Give me a little more credit than that. You married me, not Lily, remember?" Ted smirks, deadpanning that he'd forgotten. He says that maybe she could remind him and she walks up close to him, her face practically against his. He leans in to kiss her and she backs off. "If you can remember your way home, maybe I'll remind you then. If you're good." She leaves, leaving Ted hot, bothered and frustrated. He bites his lower lip and sits back down at his desk, redirecting the pent up energy toward his work. (EXT: The Capwell Hotel) ---Eden enters the ladies room, where she sees Julia pulling herself together. She tells her that she saw Mason & Mary in the lobby, so she understands why she's upset. Julia asks if they're gone and Eden nods that they are. Eden asks if she wants to talk about it, which Julia doesn't. Eden says she won't force her but she can tell she's in pain and wants to help. "There's nothing you can do Eden, really. I make my own choices, as do Mason and Mary. We're the ones that have to live with them." "That doesn't make it easy. We all make mistakes, Julia- there's things we all look back on and wish we'd done differently. But all you can do is move forward." "I'm not sure what forward is right now." "Mason loves you. That hasn't changed." "I know that, but Eden, I see the way he looks at her. I saw how they were together walking in the lobby. She was the love of his life. And who wouldn't love her? Hell, I'm in awe of her myself. She's perfect." "Nobody's perfect Julia." "She comes damn close. She was a nun, then a nurse, now a doctor for God's sake. All noble professions. And his wife? Oh, I'm a lawyer, as morally ambiguous and unscrupulous as the next guy." Julia lets out a painful laugh, the kind of laugh caused by frustration. Eden ends up laughing with her and suggests they go shopping, maybe have some cocktails after. "Is stiff gin a cocktail?" Eden smiles and smacks her friend on the arm and Julia smacks her back. They smile and walk out, Eden putting her arm around her as they walk through the lobby. (EXT: Santa Barbara Medical Center) ---Edmund sits in his office, going over Sophia's chart. Pamela pops in and asks how things are going. Edmund informs her that he's got a brand new patient. Pamela smiles and hugs him. She asks what exactly happened and Edmund tells her that Sophia has decided to go through with the treatment. He tells her that he's already given her first booster shot and she'll be coming later in the day for the next one. Pamela asks if he prescribed the drugs he'd told her about and he smiles that he did. He offers to check in the computer system to see if Sophia has picked them up. He punches it up on the computer as Pamela watches over his shoulder. Both are elated when all six prescriptions show up received. "It's done. You're genius" Pamela tells him. "I could have never come up with this without you, give yourself credit dear. And I haven't even told you the best part- Sophia has insisted that I not breathe a word of it to her family. And I wouldn't want to break doctor-patient confidentiality....." "Perfect" Pamela laughs "It's almost too perfect. How long will it be before the drugs take effect?" "Not long. Could be anywhere from 24-48 hours." He smiles at her. She smiles right back. "She won't know what hit her" she says. They run into Cruz and Marta lays into him once again for taking her father away for Christmas. Cruz apologizes to them both and tries to make them understand the situation that he and the SBPD were put in. Vic comes upstairs with Angel and releases him to his wife and daughter. They greet him with hugs, as they are thrilled to have him back. He instructs them to wait in the car for him, as he has to talk to Cruz alone. Marta protests, but Carla forces her daughter to do as she's told. Alone, Cruz apologizes to Angel for him having to spend Christmas in jail. "I'm used to it by now Castillo. It's more important that my family be kept safe." "I can understand that. You think they bought it?" "Can't tell. I hope so, but I'm not taking any chances. I want to get a gun." Cruz tells him that under California State Law, he is ineligible to purchase a gun legally. Angel asks him if there's anything he & Julia can do with the courts to help his case, but Cruz tells him that it's impossible. Angel vows to take matters into his own hands. Cruz tells him he can't tell him to do anything illegal, but Angel remarks that he knows what he has to do. (EXT: The Capwell Hotel) ---Mason wakes up on the couch of the suite he rented for Mary and himself. He peeks into the bedroom and sees that Mary is still asleep. He takes the liberty of ordering breakfast for the two of them. He smiles as he flashes back to the night before- first his reuniting with Mary, and then her insistence that they cannot make love, despite his objections. Mason is snapped out of it when he hears Mary waking up in her bedroom. She comes out and wishes him a good morning. He responds and leans in to kiss her, but she pulls away. "We can't do this, Mason. This isn't how I wanted things...." "I love you Mary. That's all that matters." "What about Julia? And your daughter? Are you even thinking of them? You should have spent Christmas with them, instead of catching up with me." Mason realizes that he hasn't even called his family for the holiday. Mason tells her that Christmas is just another day. Mary sees what a cop-out that is and calls him on it. Mason says that he's going to explain everything to Julia and Samantha today. However, he's already ordered them breakfast and says there's a few things he wants to know about, especially about Mark and the baby. Mary tells him that when she woke up, her doctor and Mark explained that when she was brought in, her condition was critical and if the baby wasn't delivered, she would have died. Though he knew it was too soon, Mark agreed to the C-section and their daughter was born, dying shortly after. Mason asks about the records and Mary tells him that the clinic should still have them. Mason asks if she has access to the records room, which she says she does. Mary agrees to copy them for him. (EXT: Mason & Julia's House) ---Samantha is dumbfounded that after being released from jail, Mason didn't bother to spend the holidays with she & Julia. Samantha asks her mother just what is going on. Julia comes clean with Samantha, explaining that the doctor who saved her life was Mary Duvall, Mason's first love. Samantha exclaims that she thought Mary was dead, and Julia explains Mary's story. Samantha doesn't understand why Mason would be upset over this, but Julia tells her that she kept quiet about Mary's being alive for some time. "That explains the drinking binge and the arrest." Samantha realizes "Yes and I just hope he's not been out doing the same thing, God knows where." Samantha wonders if perhaps he found Mary, but Julia shoots that down, saying Mary has left town and vowed never to see Mason again. She tells Samantha of the kind of person that Mary was- strong, moral, kind. She tells her daughter that Mary didn't want to break up their family, which is why she never went back to Mason after all these years. "How ironic that that's exactly what she might have done." Samantha muses Julia assures her that she & Mason will work through their problems, they always do. Samantha isn't so sure, telling Julia that Mason doesn't take kindly to betrayal, a trait she shares with him. Samantha says that she wouldn't be surprised if Mason moved Heaven and Earth to find Mary, if only to spite Julia. Rafe arrives, interrupting their conversation. "Ready for some physical therapy today Samantha?" Samantha tells him that she was actually in the middle of something with her mother but Julia insists she do her physical therapy, saying she needs to get back to the office anyway. (EXT: The Capwell Mansion) ---Kelly is disappointed when Sophia tells her she has an appointment that day, since she was hoping they could spend the day shopping together. Sophia asks Kelly how long she is planning on staying in town and is pleasantly surprised that Kelly has decided to move back. Sophia is thrilled and laments that it will be wonderful having Kelly back in the house. Kelly corrects her, telling her she plans on getting a place of her own. Sophia is thrilled nonetheless. Kelly asks her about the appointment she's going to, but Sophia keeps mum, vaguely telling her daughter that she's meeting an old friend. Kelly says she's anxious to get back to work. Sophia asks what her plans are for the day and she says she's meeting Eden for breakfast at the Capwell Hotel. The girls were hoping that their mother could join them, and Sophia apologizes for not being able to attend. They say her good-byes and Kelly leaves. Sophia prepares to leave as Rosa emerges. "Your children should know about your condition Sophia, especially of this treatment you're seeking. You're meeting with Dr. Lavery again, aren't you?" "I am Rosa. And you know how I feel about my children and CC finding out about this. You didn't confide in Santana, did you?" "No Sophia, I wouldn't betray your confidence. But I can tell you that if I were sick, my son and daughter would both know about it...I just pray you know what you're doing." Sophia insists she does and thanks Rosa for her concern. Sophia exits. (EXT: Mason & Julia's House) Rafe works with Samantha on her exercises. She asks him if he did anything special for the holiday and he tells her of the gift he gave to Lily. Samantha acts confused, saying she thought he didn't want to jump back into anything with her. He tells her that he doesn't, but admits he still has feelings for her and he thinks she still does for him. Samantha isn't so sure, saying last she heard, she was still bent out of shape about Ted's marriage to Angela. Rafe thinks otherwise, but Samantha insists, telling Rafe that she went so far as to investigate the article in the New Mexican paper. Rafe asks how she knows this and Samantha tells him that Lily made a huge scene about it at Capwell Enterprises. She says that she found out that Angela was the one behind the set-up, causing a rift between Ted & Angela. Why, Samantha asks, if Lily was still hung up on Rafe would she try to break up Ted's marriage? "You don't like her very much, do you?" Rafe asks. "Honestly? No, I don't. She conned my father years ago, before I was born, when he was very vulnerable. Though she claims she's changed, I see her for the manipulative, hypocritical liar that she is. " Rafe smiles and notices her doing the exercise more vigorously. "Easy, Samantha," he laughs "Easy." She shoots him a look. (EXT: The Capwell Hotel) ---Julia arrives at the Capwell Hotel for breakfast and asks the maitre'd if Kelly or Eden have gotten there yet. He tells her no and offers to seat her. She sees Pamela out of the corner of her eye, motioning for Julia to join her. Julia tells the maitre'd to prepare their table while she visits with Pamela. Julia sits down at the table and Pamela immediately asks if she heard from Mason on Christmas. Julia replies that she hadn't, saying she was going to ask Pamela the very same thing. Pamela expresses her concern for Mason, especially with all the lashing out he's been doing. Julia agrees that she's worried as well, though she's certain that he'll turn up. Julia begins to wonder if Mason didn't go to Colorado to try and find Mary. Kelly arrives for breakfast and asks if Eden has shown up yet. The maitre'd tells her she hasn't, though Julia has and their table is being prepared. Kelly remarks that she didn't realize that Julia would be joining them, then spots her talking with Pamela at a table. Kelly swiftly approaches them. "Pamela, what in the hell are you doing here?" "Merry Christmas to you too Kelly. Nice to see you as well." Pamela scoffs Kelly asks how she got out of the institution she was in and Pamela tells her she was let out years ago. Kelly asks where she's been & Pamela tells her she's been living in London. Kelly is stunned to realize that she had been living in the very same city as the woman who poisoned her, only to return to Santa Barbara and find her there. Kelly point blank asks Pamela what she's up to and Pamela insists that she's only living her life and it's merely a coincidence. Kelly warns Pamela to stay away from her and her family and Pamela tells her that she has nothing to worry about. Kelly remarks that her very presence in town is reason enough to worry, since she's poison to everything she touches. Pamela replies that Kelly should concern herself with her own mother and her problems rather than Pamela's. Kelly asks what exactly that means, but is interrupted when Pamela sees Mason from across the room. "Who's that woman he's with?" she asks "My God." Julia says. "It's Mary." Mason stops walking and locks eyes with Julia. Mary asks him what he's doing and looks and sees Julia, Pamela, and Kelly staring back at them. (EXT: Santa Barbara Medical Center) ---Edmund is informed that Sophia is there to see him. He greets her warmly and invites her to sit down. "I take it this means you've made a decision about the treatment..." he says "I have." "Well.....what is it that you've decided?" "I'd like to do it Edmund. I've read all of the paperwork and I'm willing to take the chance. I trust you." "Excellent. Sophia, I'm going to do everything I can to save you, but make no mistake, it's not going to happen overnight....you'll be away from your family for quite some time...." "I realize that but if I do it, I can be with them a whole lot longer. I'm going through with it. My mind is made up." Edmund tells her that he'll need to give her boosters immediately, as there isn't much time before the trip. He tells her he'll extend his stay until after New Year's, so that the shots will have time to take their effect on her. Sophia agrees, but insists her family know nothing about it. Edmund is uneasy, but tells her that he has to respect her confidence, no matter what. He turns around and pulls out a small bottle and syringe. A sinister look comes over his face as he fills the syringe from the bottle....... THE END...........for today

Sorry gang but the holidays actually have left me swamped this week!! I feel like I'm one of 10 people at my job who are actually in town right now- SO HECTIC!!!! But things will be getting back on track tomorrow & Saturday. I wanted to post a new episode tonight, but I'm so worn out right now, I'm not sure how good it would turn out. I may get a second wind, but every time I try to start writing it, I just can't get it to flow right. Basically, one of two things will happen: either I'll post an episode late tonight and one tomorrow, OR I'll post one early in the day tomorrow & one late tomorrow night. As of now, I'm leaning toward the latter, but I may change my mind. Either way, there will be three new 'RTSB' episodes posted in the next 3 days. The last episode of the week being on Saturday. Next week, things should be back to normal. A schedule will be posted Sunday, as well as the usual Casting News/Preview/Interview item I generally put out then. Here's some previews of what you can expect to see: Sophia gives Edmund her decision about the treatment! Mason & Mary do some catching up! Kelly has a run-in with Pamela! Samantha plots to keep Rafe & Lily apart on New Year's! Joann's connection to another character on the canvas is revealed! Angel is released......again! Someone collapses on New Year's Eve!

As you may have noticed on the cast crawl, Nicholas Coster & Louise Sorel have been bumped up to contract status. They will continue to be involved in storyline well into 2007 so I've bumped up their status. They remain in Santa Barbara a little past New Year's, but will still be featured when they go back to London. Gina Gallego has also been added to the recurring scrawl, as has Shell Danielson. Laken will stick around town for a few more episodes, but will be gone shortly after the new year. Laken (and Danielson) may be back at some point- who knows? Details of her extension are being kept under wraps, but expect some stuff with Lily, Angela, and Ted. Santana, on the other hand, will be kept on a recurring basis for a while, well into the new year. Her storyline is also being closely guarded but expect to see her interact with Cruz, Eden, Rosa, and Sophia, as well as some others not mentioned. Clive Robertson premieres as Ashton Lavery later this week. Expect Ashton to have his hands in a couple different storylines on 'RTSB' Big plans are said to be ahead for Robertson & Carrington Garland's Kelly!!!! STAY TUNED A casting call has been put out for Ric Castillo, Cruz's other sibling, formerly played by Peter Love. Though Ric may not appear regularly for a while, he'll be used at some point in January/February. Looking for a rugged, hispanic male, in his 30s to early 40s. For now, the role is recurring, but could very well end up being a full-time role. The stays of Carm, Rafael, and Carmen have been cut short. They made their only appearance in the Christmas Eve episode. Also, expect to see the previously announced Steve Hall character come on the canvas sometime in January or February. Question is, will Jared Leto still be playing the role? It doesn't look good. So 'RTSB' is actively searching for an edgy, 18-29 year old actor to play the 21 year old Steve. 'RTSB' will resume tomorrow night- hope you all enjoyed last week! Because the Sh!t is about to hit the fan! Tomorrow kicks it all off, so prepare yourselves! Oh, and any suggestions you may have for the roles being cast would be appreciated. I'd also like to hear any thoughts you had on the Christmas Eve episode this year!!!!

She can tell that something is weighing on his mind and asks what's wrong. He's quiet at first, only saying he has to stop at the station before everyone comes over for Christmas. Eden pries, saying it's Christmas Eve and for him to go into work, it has to be pretty important. Cruz slowly starts opening up to her, telling her about the shootout the day before and the subsequent arrest of Carlos. "All sounds good so far," Eden says "You all (the department) have been after him for a long time.....I'm just glad you're okay...." "I'm fine darlin, it's Angel that I'm worried about." "Angel- what about him? Is he alright? Was he hurt in some way?" "He's in jail." Cruz explains that Angel was helping the SBPD on the case in exchange for his early release. In order to not blow his cover, Cruz had no choice but to arrest him. That's why he has to go in- he's stopping by Angel's to explain to Carla & Marta, so they can at least visit him on Christmas. Eden asks to go with him. Cruz is hesitant, but Eden laments that a woman's perogative would help, especially since she and Carla have a deal in place. Cruz asks her what kind of deal and Eden tells them that when they visited, they each promised they'd keep an eye on both men, and if they were in any kind of trouble, they'd tell each other. Not able to argue further, Cruz agrees to let her tag along. Eden calls for Adriana, who's just finished getting ready for the holiday. She instructs her to let her grandparents in when they arrive and to baste the turkey in the oven. Adriana asks where they're going, but they tell her not to be so nosy- maybe they have a Christmas surprise up their sleeves. (EXT- The Capwell Mansion) ----Rosa spies CC & Sophia wrapping presents for their grandchildren. She thinks of Ruben and she together years before. Suddenly, she feels a hand on her shoulder. She turns around and sees her deceased husband standing in front of her. "Merry Christmas, Rosa" "Merry Christmas mijo" she replies, with a tear in her eye. He kisses her and she wraps her arms around him. She tells him how much she misses him and asks him if he's seen how their children have grown up. He smiles and nods, replying that they came from good parents. Ruben asks her what's wrong and she says she's feeling lonely this year for Christmas- Danny won't be coming home and she hasn't even heard from Santana. Ruben tells her not to worry- their children are safe and will be with people they love on Christmas. So will she. Rosa agrees, saying she's very grateful to be going to Cruz & Eden's for Christmas Eve. Ruben tells her he has to be going. Rosa asks him to stay, just for a moment, there with here. He again puts his hand on her shoulder and disappears. The doorbell rings. She walks to get it, wondering who it could be. She opens the door and Kelly Capwell is standing on the other side of it. "Merry Christmas Rosa!!!" "Merry Christmas Kelly." Rosa says, trying not to sound disappointed. (EXT: The Lockridge Mansion) ---Augusta mixes up a batch of Christmas martinis as Lionel pokes at the fire. Warren remarks that the two of them are awfully cheerful today. "It's Christmas son!" Lionel tells him. "That explains why mom is calling chilled glasses of Beefeaters 'Christmas Martinis'." Augusta offers them one- Warren accepts, but Lionel declines. Lionel remembers that Minx always used to have Manhattans for Christmas. Warren recalls what a pistol Minx was. Augusta reminisces about Minx being such an intimidating presence at first, but ended up finding they were more alike than different. "Mother always saw some of herself in you, you know" Lionel says. Augusta shares that while they were cut from the same cloth, she couldn't come close to living up to Minx in some aspects. Lionel agrees that his mother was far more ruthless and cunning than Augusta could ever pull off, which she admits is true. The doorbell rings and Warren is thrilled by who's on the other side : it's his sister, Laken! Laken is thrilled to be reunited with her parents and her brother. Julia and Mason arrive, stopping by before going over to Cruz & Eden's. Julia can't believe how much Laken has grown up over the years. Laken asks Mason about his family, and he says they're all well. Laken specifically asks about Ted and is surprised to find out that he's married. Mason apologizes, but excuses himself, saying that there's a charity he's donating to for the holiday that he must visit. "Sounds like community service to me." Augusta says to Julia after he's left. "That's enough Augusta. Please. it's Christmas Eve. Gift me your vow of silence on Mason for the next two days. Can you do that? " "I'll try." "Try hard" "I'll try." (EXT: The Capwell Mansion) ----Sophia & CC reunite with their daughter. Rosa acts happy for them all, but secretly wishes she could be with her own children. CC says that they weren't sure if she was going to make it, especially after the debacle during Ted's wedding. Kelly apologizes again for not being able to make it, but Sophia laments that they're just happy she's there now. Kelly says she wants to unpack and relax, but they tell her they're leaving to go to Cruz & Eden's for the evening. Kelly suggests that they go ahead and she'll follow but CC won't hear of it. She reluctantly goes along. Sophia asks if Rosa is coming and she replies that she'll be by shortly. (EXT: Angel & Carla Ramirez's House) ---Cruz and Eden pull up in the driveway. Cruz admits he's reluctant to even go. Eden tells him they owe it to Carla and Marta and they head to the door. Marta answers. "Marta, we need to talk to...." She slams the door on his face. The wreath hanging on the front of it falls to their feet. Cruz picks it up and places it on the door. Eden affirms that he should knock again. As he's about to do that, Carla opens the door. "What are you doing here? How could you possibly think we'd want to see you today?" "Cruz needs to talk to you. There are some things you need to understand..." "Understand? What could I possibly need to understand Eden? It's Christmas Eve. It was to be the first Christmas I spend with my Angel for 20 years. 20 YEARS! It was to be my daughter's first Christmas with him in her entire life. And now, and now, he's spending the holiday in jail and we are alone. Again. So much for beginning new traditions..." Carla begins to choke up, but holds back, not wanting to appear weak in front of the Castillos. Cruz asks again if he can come in, but she insists they stay outside, though she'll hear what they have to say. Marta protests in the background, but Carla calms her, telling her she should hear what Mr. Castillo has to say as well. Cruz explains to them that it was Angel's idea that Cruz arrest him. Carla asks what he's gotten her husband involved in, but Cruz is unable to go into detail. Marta pitches a fit at that, telling Cruz that she has a right to know why her father is behind bars. He took her father away once for her entire life, why would he give him back to them only to take him away again? Cruz stands there, looking at the young girl, speechless to her question. Eden apologizes for her husband and reminds Carla that she doesn't approve of what they're up to, nor is she fully aware of the details. She tells Carla that she has learned to trust her husband in these situation and offers that Carla should do the same. Eden tells Cruz to give her the letter Angel wrote. Cruz agrees, but tells Carla that she has to burn it when she's through reading it, for everyone's safety. Carla looks at Eden and she nods for her to do as instructed. "Will he be in jail for Christmas? When can we bail him out? Can we see him tonight?" she inquires. "Not tonight, no, he hasn't reached that part of population yet. Unfortunately, there are no judges working the holidays, so we can't even get him a bond until the day after. We've arranged it so you'll be able to spend part of the day together tomorrow, but he will not be able to leave the jail. It's how he wanted it. I disagreed at first, but when he explained, it made sense..." "I'm sure it didn't take much for you to agree." Marta spits. Eden invites them to their house for the holidays, talking up all of the food that Cruz's parents will be bringing. "Are you kidding me?" Marta exclaims. "You can't be serious. Mama, are these people for real?" "Hush, Marta." she scolds "That's kind of you Eden, it is, but I don't think that would be such a good idea, considering the circumstances. Merry Christmas." She shuts the door, letter in hand. "Merry Christmas." Eden says, quietly, understanding Carla's pain. (EXT: San Remos Emergency Clinic) ---Mason arrives at the clinic and greets the nurse with a "Merry Christmas." She replies that it's a Merry Christmas indeed. He tells her that he's here to drop off a donation for the children's wing of the hospital. She thanks him for his continued generosity, but tells him the kids are all disappointed. Mason worries that gifts weren't plentiful, but the nurse tells him it's not that- the usual person who plays Santa Claus for them has taken ill and nobody is around to step in, since it's Christmas Eve and all. Mason says he didn't bring any kind of suit, but the nurse offers the red coat & hat the hospital has. She says the children really would be thrilled and Mason asks what he'd do. Just read the Christmas story, the nurse offers. Rafe has a warm reunion with his father and 1/2 sister. Rafe introduces them to Samantha. Rafael realizes right away that she's Mason & Julia's daughter, and remembers spending time with her as a little girl. Cruz & Eden arrive home and are reunited with the family. (EXT: Lockridge Mansion) ----Lionel & Augusta toast to Minx, with Warren and Laken sitting, noticing how happy their parents are. Lionel and Augusta cheers glasses, looking into each other's eyes, smiling. They drink, and kiss. Laken and Warren look at each other and smile, enjoying the warm moment. (EXT: San Remos Emergency Clinic) ----Mason sits by the Clinic's Christmas tree, dressed in the Santa Hat and coat, no beard. All of the children of the hospital surround him, with a little 3 year old girl sitting across his lap, sucking on her thumb. He recites the Christmas story to them all, with the nurses and some parents looking on and smiling. (EXT: The Capwell Mansion) ---Rosa walks through the living room from her bedroom. She dims the lights in the foyer and heads back to the living room to do the same. In the living room, she sees Ruben again, smiling at her. She smiles back at him and blows him a kiss, choking back her tears. She heads to the Capwell kitchen and collects her purse and keys. She takes them and dims the kitchen light. She opens the door to outside and locks up around her. When she turns around, Santana is standing behind her. "Mija?" "Merry Christmas mama" Rosa's eyes well up with tears and she embraces her daughter. She hugs her and sees Ruben standing over behind Santana's shoulder. Ruben winks and she winks back. (EXT: St. Peter's Church) ---Carla and Marta are shown sitting in the pews, singing with the congregation. Carla is crying and Marta squeezes her hand for support. Carla takes the letter from her pocket and holds it close to her heart. Marta looks at her mother and Carla looks back. They squeeze their hands harder together. (EXT: Santa Barbara Jail) ---Angel is shown, sitting in his jail cell, alone, staring at a picture of his wife and daughter. He kisses his finger & presses it against the photograph, offering them a Merry Christmas. (EXT: Cruz & Eden's Beach House) ---Kelly, CC, & Sophia arrive and Kelly especially is greeted with hugs. Ted and Angela arrive, followed closely by Julia. All three greet Kelly warmly. Samantha lips the words to Julia "WHERE'S DAD?" and Julia lips back "he'll be here." Cruz is shown cutting the turkey as everyone begins filling their plates. The family is shown happy together, talking, drinking and eating, as Santana and Rosa arrive. The focus shifts to Julia, who's pain is evident. (EXT: San Remos Clinic) ---The nurse is shown from behind, walking towards the children's wing and Mason's reading. Meanwhile, Mason continues with the story for all of the delighted children. He comes to the ending part and they act disappointed, asking him to do it again. He tells them that Santa can only do it once a year and that he has to get back to his own daughter. Mason hands the little girl to a one of the workers and stands up. The nurse enters, directing the woman she's with to Santa Claus. Mason is distracted by the children's pleas as he attempts to exit, but stops dead in his tracks when he sees Mary standing there before him. Mason just looks at her, looking her up and down, unable to speak. "Merry Christmas, Mason." "It's...you....it's really you." He touches her, grabbing her on the arm as if to make sure she's real. This startles her and makes her choke back a tear aloud. Mary can't help herself and begins to sob. "Yes, Mason." she barely gets out the words "It's me........." she sobs "It's me......." Mason looks at her with wonder and she stares back at him, crying hard now. He takes her and kisses her passionately, like never before, as she continues to cry in his embrace. He pulls back and wipes the tears from her eyes, which makes her simultaneously laugh and cry. He smiles and laughs with her and takes her again, kissing her even more passionately than before, as the children, nurses, and interns are shown looking at them, some smiling, some crying, some hopeful. They continue to kiss as the song ends and scene fades. THE END...........for today

FANTASTIC episode King! Loved every bit of it, right up to the very end. If you kill Alice......it wouldn't surprise me! But I admit I gasped when her picture popped up.

PHENOMENAL episode you guys! I really mean that- I LOVED Maxie, first of all. That's a good storyline you've set up there with Dillon/Lucas- loving it so far. I love Jiz so anything with them is good by me. But Carly/Nikolas blow them ALL out of the water!!!! How HOT would they be onscreen especially with Laura Wright & Tyler Christopher in the roles? Hot, hot, hot!!! some of my fave lines: :lol: It's just plain WRONG that I hear Ryan narrating that whole scene in my head......but hilarious nonetheless!

Sophia asks for a truce and Gina and Augusta are agreeable. They actually begin to talk about the men in their lives. Sophia tells Gina that whether she likes either of them or not, it's obvious that Keith adores her. Gina thanks her. Gina chokes on the words but admits that CC truly does worship Sophia and probably always will. "Why, I'll never know" Augusta throws in. "I thought we were calling a truce Augusta?" "But please, do tell me Sophia, just what is it about you that make men worship the ground you walk on? I've known you for years and for the life of me, all I can come up with is you're easy" "Please. It just kills you, doesn't it, that Lionel would leave you in a heartbeat- all I'd have to do is say the word. Gina and I have men who adore us. You, on the other hand..." Always were." Sophia starts to get out of her chair but the attendants arrive and place each of them in their seats for the facials. (EXT: Gina's condominium) ---Lily helps Channing Jr. wrap gifts for CC, Gina, Keith, and Sophia. Lily tells him how thoughtful he was to get Sophia and Keith gifts too. Channing Jr informs her he has a gift for her as well, but he's going to have to wrap that one himself. Lily laughs and tells him they'd better get some practice in then. They hear someone knocking at the door and Lily wonders who it is. She opens the door and sees Rafe standing there in a Santa Claus hat with gifts in hand. "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" (EXT: BAR, outside of town) ---Cruz sits at the bar, drinking a budweiser and waiting for Angel to arrive. He chuckles at Warren's article on Mason's arrest and even laughs a little at Keith's comments. Angel shows up and goes over everything he discussed with Carlos and Terrance. Cruz asks if he's sure that Carlos will be there for the drop and Angel admits he's not. He explains that when he tried to insist, Carlos became suspicious of his intentions. "Which has me worried, Castillo. I didn't spend 20 years in prison to get out and wind up dead." "You knew what you were signing up for man. I never said it was gonna be easy." "No, but you said I'd be protected. My family'd be protected too. If this goes down tonight, they're gonna know it was me- that I'm in on it." Cruz disagrees saying that his name will never be brought up. Angel tells him he knows how these guys think- when someone gets busted, they automatically look to the person they know least or is the newest on the beat. Cruz understands, but isn't sure there's a way around it. Angel says that he thinks he's thought of one way. (EXT: Gina's Condominium) ---Lily asks Rafe what he's doing there and he tells her he brought gifts for her & Channing Jr. Channing becomes excited and starts asking for his present. Rafe gives it to him to open and he's thrilled that it's a new video game. He thanks him and asks Lily if he can go start playing. She tells him that's just fine. Alone, Rafe tries to give Lily her gift but she says she cannot accept it. She tells him that she's embarrassed that she doesn't have anything for him. Rafe replies that he didn't expect her to but wants her to have the gift anyway. She agrees and opens the small box. She pulls out a long, thin gold chain with a frog charm at the end. "I love frogs! You remembered...." "Of course I did. I haven't forgotten anything Lily." "It's beautiful." "So that means you like it?" "I Love it! Thank you!" Lily excitedly kisses him on the cheek. The closeness causes an awkward tension between them. She looks into his deep brown eyes staring back at her. He takes her face in his hands and passionately kisses her. "Would you like anything to eat? We have all kinds of cookies and things here...." "I can't, actually, I have to get back...to Samantha. Merry Christmas Lily" He kisses her again before leaving. "Merry Christmas Rafe" she smiles. (EXT: The Capwell Mansion) ---Sophia arrives home, dressed in a gorgeous red gown with matching ruby earrings. Her face is beautifully made up by the cosmotologist and her skin looks radiant as ever from her facial. She calls for CC, wondering where they're going. She enters the dining room and sees a gorgeous candlelight dinner set out for them, with CC standing there in his tux. "What's all this?" she asks him "Actually, Eden gave me the idea.... What do you think?" "I think we have a very bright daughter." CC walks up to Sophia and kisses her, then asks her if she's hungry. She says she's starving and they sit down to eat. He asks her how she enjoyed the spa and she tells him of the company she had. CC gets a good laugh out of her story about the three of them going at it in the mudbath. She admits that the behavior was childish, but something about those women bring out the worst in her. With the two of them together, there was no avoiding a total meltdown. CC agrees that he'd probably have done the same thing in Sophia's shoes. Sophia picks at her food and CC remarks for someone who's starving, she's barely eating. She says she's not as hungry as she thought.....at least not for food. "So does this mean you forgive me?" "This means you're my husband and I love you." CC tells her he'll take what he can get......for now. Sophia replies that the night is young.....who knows what he may accomplish if he tries. Unforgettable (the song is meant to be played over the rest of the episode, for effect) With that, he puts on some music and extends his arm, offering her a dance. She smiles and says she'd love to and the two of them dance, gazing into each other's eyes. He lips the words I love you and she replies that she loves him to. CC kisses her, as they continue dancing........... FLASH TO Gina is seen arriving at the Capwell Hotel. She's shown informing the front desk clerk that she got a message that there would be a key waiting for her there. The clerk checks her identification and gives her the key to her room. She takes the key and asks herself what Keith could be up to. She takes the elevator upstairs, growing impatient. She finally gets to her floor and makes her way to the room. She walks in, but there doesn't seem to be any sign of Keith. She enters the bedroom and sees THIS SIGHT!!!! (CLICK ON LINK) Keith lips the words "I've been a bad, bad boy." Gina smiles , lipping "Indeed." FLASH TO Lily, at the house wrapping gifts with Channing Jr. She takes the frog charm in her hand & smiles. She looks out the window....fading to......Rafe, riding his motorcycle, pulling up to Cruz & Eden's place. He removes his helmet, takes out a picture of Lily and smiles. The screen splits between the two. FLASH TO Lionel & Augusta, at home, also dancing in their own living room to the same song. Lionel gazes as Augusta rests her head on his shoulders. She pulls her face up and looks at him, smiling back at her. She leans in and they kiss passionately. FLASH TO Angel on the docks meeting up with the drug dealers he's doing the job for. The man comes forward, opening the briefcase full of cocaine. Angel looks at it and looks back up at him. Rafe is seen (but not heard) asking where the money is. The man directs Angel to the shadowy figure in the background, who emerges with the money. The figure is Carlos Esteban. Carlos hands Angel the money and is instructing him to be careful. He hands him a sheet of paper, directing him where to go. He pats him on the back and shakes his hand. As they are getting ready to exit, Cruz, Vic, and a swat team are shown arriving on the scene, holding the men at gunpoint. The henchman draws his gun and points at Cruz but Vic shoots before he has the chance to fire. Carlos continues standing with his hands in the air, Angel as well. Cruz cuffs Carlos and asks for medical attention for the henchman. Vic begins cuffing Angel, but he tries to resist and slip away. Angel seems shocked by what Vic is doing and looks at Cruz for some kind of explanation. Cruz just shakes his head at him. Cruz and Vic are seen loading Angel & Carlos into their police cars, while the other man is taken on a stretcher into an ambulance. FLASH TO CC & Sophia, still dancing in their living room. The screen splits, showing Lionel & Augusta dancing in their mansion. The scene ends with both couples once again enjoying a kiss. Really fantastic anniversary episode Dusty! I saw you used some of my stuff- LOVE it! Those were probably the stories I would have picked from the ones I submitted. And to Lily & Mike! LOVE IT!!!!! It would be even hotter with Shawn Christian in the role.

I love Scotty Baldwin. I could just see him eating those french fries! Too bad he's not taking Ric's offer- those prickly dudes would be great working together. Robert's line at the end was hilarious! Good episode- love the heavy emphasis on the greats of GH.
