Thanks Nanc! I'm just exhausted today & didn't want the episode to suffer because of it. Tomorrow's should be up around the usual time- between 4 and 6 PM EST.

There will not be a new 'RTSB' episode posted today. This week has been hectic, and the last two days have really worn me down. I'm taking some well-needed R&R. There will be a new installment tomorrow, with no loss in the story, of course. Oh, and here's some teasers for tomorrow's show: Mary partially explains what happened to her to Julia. Angel is Released!!! Pearl makes his debut! Pamela & Sophia continue to go at it, but take things to another level. Samantha uses her condition to her advantage. Sorry there will only be 4 this week, but as I said previously, there will be some weeks with only 4, sometimes even 3 episodes.

Thanks so much Steve- I told someone the other day that when I write the dialogue, I actually hear the character/actor's voice in my head & use that. I re-read it, doing the same thing & edit anything that doesn't sound right. Gordon Thomson & Lane Davies are definitely the two Masons that I enjoyed most as well, but Lane just is the epitome of that role. I've been trying to write Mason like Lane's Mason. For the mostpart, I've been pleased.

http://santabarbara-online.com/GeneriqueDebutUS.rm (EXT: San Remos Hospital) Pamela is taken off-guard by Sophia & Eden. Sophia demands to know what Pamela is doing back in town, and she explains that she had intended to go to Ted & Lily's wedding. Eden reminds her that she wasn't invited, and Pamela seems to just notice her at that, asking her how she's "doing." Eden remembers the last time she saw Pamela, at the Capwell dinner party, when she was split with her alter, Lisa. Sophia defends her daughter, saying the family is doing much better now & she won't be attacking her. When Pamela expresses genuine concern about Samantha, Adriana informs her of Samantha's current condition. Pamela insists on seeing her. "You're not going anywhere, Pamela. Mason & Julia are in there with their daughter now and the doctors don't want more than two visitors with her at a time," Sophia coldly informs her. "Well then I just wait. How is Mason? Have you seen him?" "How would you expect him to be, Pamela?" Eden states firmly "His daughter is in there lying in a coma. How would you be?" Pamela apologizes if her being there is going to disturb them but insists she isn't going anywhere until she knows her granddaughter is alright. Mason sees the commotion going on through the window and comes out, pulling Pamela aside. She hugs him and expresses her sorrow over Samantha's condition. He thanks her for her well wishes but tells her he think it best she wait at her hotel. Pamela insists she isn't going anywhere, saying she's let Sophia separate her from her son for many years and she won't be kept away by her now. Mason reluctantly gives in and agrees to let her go in & see Samantha. Julia is unreceptive when Pamela enters the room, but can see she genuinely cares for her granddaughter. The ladies agree to put aside their differences and focus on Samantha. (EXT: Capwell Enterprises Building) ---Keith stops by Gina's office before her meeting with Angela. He tells her that he's heard from the buyer and has informed them of the current situation. When Gina once again questions the person's identity, Keith insists that she not worry about details, but instead worry about putting the Capwells in their place, especially after how they humiliated Lily. Gina agrees and asks what the plan is. Keith infroms her that the buyer is sending a candidate for the financial position at Capwell, and all she has to do is make sure that's who they hire. "There's one problem with that, Keith. I'm not in charge of things: Angela is!" "Well, then, you'll just have to make sure Angela sees things your way," Keith assures her. "Frankly, I don't know how I'm going to be able to stand being in a room with that tramp, let alone convincing her to hire someone," Gina says, exasperated. "You'll just have to figure that out muffin, won't you?" He gives her a devious look, and she smiles. If anyone gets what they want, it's Gina Blake DeMott Capwell Capwell Capwell Timmins. (EXT: San Remos Hospital) ---Rafe apologizes again to Mason, but it only goes to further agitate him. Adriana suggests she & Rafe head down to the cafeteria for some coffee. Mason apologizes to Sophia & Eden for not telling them Pamela was in town. He asks what she said, and Sophia brings up Pamela's dig at Eden's multiple personality disorder. Mason apologizes profusely for ever bringing Pamela to that dinner party, but Eden insists that she's past it and that it wasn't really Pamela's fault anyway. Sophia sees that Eden is implying that she was to blame and remembers that she was the one who first triggered Lisa when Eden was a child, by faking her death falling off the Capwell yacht. Mason pulls Eden aside and now alone, Eden asks him how he's really doing. Mason says that though he was a mess, he's more optimistic now. He explains to her his vision of Mary earlier in the day. When he asks if he's crazy, Eden assures him he's not. "She loved you very much Mason," Eden remembers, "and I'm sure she is up there watching over you." "She was so perfect, you know? This perfect flower, so pure and innocent, brilliant yet naive. Knowing she's here with me, watching me....... It lets me know that Samantha is going to be okay" "You still love her very much, don't you? Do you think of her still?" "Sure I do, more often than I care to admit. I still love her, there will always be a place in my heart that's Mary's and only hers." They embrace. Around the corner, Mary is seen listening, clutching her clipboard. Mason's words move her to tears, but she regains her strength and composure, and heads to her office. (EXT: Capwell Enterprises) ---Gina enters Angela's office and attempts to be cordial. Angela sees right through it, telling her to stop with the pleasantries- she's well aware she's not Gina's favorite person right now. Gina says that's an understatement, telling her she's disgusted by what Ted & Angela did to her daughter. However, Gina tells her that she's not going to let it get in the way of business, which Angela agrees to. They begin interviewing candidates and none seems to impress them. Joann Walsh then enters, and they grill her. Angela is impressed with Joann's qualifications, but Gina is unsure. When Gina questions her about her references, Joann swiftly answers all of her questions, even pointing out the foolishness of some of them. Gina tells her that her tone is not appreciated, especially since Gina would be one of her bosses. Angela laughs off Gina's suggestion, telling her to remember how much power she actually has around there. Gina acts completely unimpressed by Joann, though her acting is more realistic than she thought it would be and Joann obviously rubs her the wrong way. When Angela expresses her desire to hire Joann, Gina warns her not to jump into anything and thinks it should be given more careful analysis & thought, perhaps even CC's approval. "Don't be ridiculous, Gina" Angela scoffs "We need CC's approval? This coming from you? CC wouldn't approve of your hairstyle, Gina, much less a business decision you make. Ms Walsh, we look forward to working with you. Kathleen, our secretary, will take you down to Human Resources to fill out some paperwork." "Thank you so much Ms Cassidy" "It's Mrs. Capwell now" Gina shoots her a look. "Sorry, Mrs. Capwell. You won't regret this" When she leaves, Gina argues with Angela about not even paying attention to her opinion. Angela tells her the decision is made & she'll have to live with it, ordering her out of her office. In the hallway, Gina calls Keith and informs him that everything went according to plan. "You and whoever this mystery buyer is better know damn well what you're doing. That woman, Joann, is a shrew if I ever saw one. " Keith reassures her that they're doing the right thing and tells her keep following the plan and everything will work out in their favor. "You're going to have everything you've ever wanted baby. Just play this right" (EXT: San Remos Hospital) ---Pamela and Julia come out of Samantha's room, informing the others that there hasn't been a change in her condition. Rafe asks if it would be alright if he saw her and Mason balks. Julia convinces him that it couldn't hurt to let Rafe see her and he gives in. Mason spots Pamela eyeing Sophia and takes her down to the cafeteria. Rafe and Adriana go in to see Samantha. Julia expresses her concern to Sophia & Eden about Mason. Eden fills her in on what Mason told her earlier about Mary. Julia remembers what a good woman Mary was and understands why Mason hasn't shared it with her. Julia tells them that she has a good feeling about the hospital as well and tells them about Dr. Beckman. Sophia thinks it's strange that Dr. Beckman is being so guarded and Julia begins to agree. She decides to track her down herself and thank her. In Samantha's room, Rafe takes her hand and apologizes for putting her there. He tells her how awful he feels, especially in letting his emotions from Lily's rejection cause him to put her in danger. He begs her for her forgiveness and promises to see her through until she's well. He & Adriana are amazed when Samantha opens her eyes. ----Julia walks the hallways, searching for Dr. Beckman. She inquires to a nurse who informs her that Dr Beckman is in her office and directs her to it. Julia barrels into Mary's office, startling Mary, who stands with her back to Julia. Julia goes on about how grateful she & her husband are, but expresses concern about Samantha's still being in a coma. She asks her to fill her in on what's going on and give her the realities of the situation, but Mary remains silent. Growing frustrated, Julia approaches her and Mary steps away. Julia asks her why she's so concerned about speaking with her and why she's been desperately avoiding them. When Mary still doesn't speak, Julia grabs her and turns her around. Julia's mouth drops when she realizes that Dr. Beckman is MARY!!!!! THE END................for today

http://santabarbara-online.com/GeneriqueDebutUS.rm (EXT: Angela's Beachfront Condominium) ----Angela wakes up, and sees Ted has not slept in bed with her. She hears him in the shower & decides she'll surprise him. She sneaks up on him as he's washing his hair. "Need someone to do your back?" Ted turns around and looks at her. "It's done." Angela senses his anger. "Are you going to stay mad at me for the rest of our lives? We are married now, after all..." "Not after the annulment we're not?" She's taken off guard by his words. Angela flirtaciously explains the events of the day before, saying she did it all for him. With that, Ted gets out of the shower & turns the cold water on her. She gets out, following him to the bedroom, where Ted questions why she didn't go about things differently, telling her that he gave her every opportunity to stop him. Angela tells him that it was all completely spontaneous, though he wonders how spontaneous it could be, given that she had an elaborate dress made. Angela explains that she had the dress made years ago and swore she'd wear it when she married the man she was in love with. She talks about her disappointment in herself when she married David. She tells him that though she went through with the wedding, she couldn't go through with wearing the dress. She further explains that when she saw Ted standing at the altar, the reality of what she was about to do set in. "I sat there and all I could think of was the day I married David. I couldn't figure out why, since you & David are nothing alike and it seemed so.....unrelated" "Yes, Angela, it does...." (cutting him off) "But I realized the connection and it hit me a like a ton of bricks. That day when I married him, I cried.....all day.......because I know I was sacrificing any chance I had of fulfilling that wish- to be with the man of my dreams, hopelessly in love. I cried for that little girl, who's hopes I was shattering. And....yesterday.....if I let you marry Lily, if I didn't open myself up and go for it.......it would've been like shattering her dreams all over again. And..... I..... just couldn't let that happen." Ted sees the love in her eyes and grabs her & kisses her. "It won't. I won't let it. You're Mrs. Ted Capwell now, and noone's taking that from you." They kiss again and for the first time, make love as man and wife. (EXT: the beach & ocean, panning up to Cruz & Eden's House) ---Cruz & Eden discuss the seriousness of Samantha's condition. Cruz says he could kill Rafe for the accident with Samantha. Eden tells him not to blame his brother, though Cruz fires back that Mason & Julia certainly will, especially if her condition is worse than expected, or if she dies even. Eden says that if anything happened to Adriana, she doesn't know what she'd do. She thinks of Julia, not even being able to imagine what she must be going through. Rafe comes down from his sleep, and Cruz has words with him. Rafe tells them that he feels awful and that he'd like to go back to the hospital to make sure she's okay. Cruz thinks it's a horrible idea, saying that he's the last person Mason & Julia want to see. "That may be true." Adriana says, walking down the spiral staircase, "but I think Samantha will want to see him when she wakes up. In fact, I know she will. Mom and I are going anyway, Uncle Rafe, you can come with us" Cruz & Eden shoot their daughter a look. Rafe tells her he thinks it best he doesn't go, but to the dismay of her parents, Adriana insists. Eden gives in, and Cruz sees he's outnumbered. He tells them to send Mason & Julia his love, and instructs Eden to have Julia call him when she has a chance. (mimicing him, yet again) "Have Julia call me. I need to talk to Julia. Have you seen Julia? What is it that the two of you are up to Cruz Castillo?" "It's work, darlin. And I know you remember the deal, right?" "Yeah, yeah, Eden, stay out of police business...... You know, some days I feel like I'm married to Ricky Ricardo" "Well maybe if you'd stop acting like Lucy day in & day out, you'd see things differently. Now I got to go" (EXT- San Remos Hospital) Julia wakes up from her nap, and sees Mason has fallen asleep as well. She asks the nurse if there's been any change, and the nurse informs her there hasn't. Julia tells the nurse she'd like to go in & see Samantha when possible, but the nurse informs her the doctor is with her now. Julia inquires about the doctor, wondering about her credentials, since she was so shy about meeting with them the night before. The nurse informs her that Dr. Beckman is very good, while also a very private person. The nurse tells her that she's working very hard on Samantha's case with Dr. Stanley and they're both in there now. She suggests Julia get some breakfast, since they just went in with her & shouldn't be done for sometime. Julia heads for the cafeteria. Meanwhile Mary & Dr. Frank Stanley go over Samantha's injuries and Mary says she's most concerned with the head injury, which seems to have put her in the comatose state she's been in. They order a different medication for her IV, hoping it will trigger her nerves and bring her out of the state she's in. Mary tells Dr. Stanley that she wants him to do all communication with the parents, saying that it's bringing up some traumatic events in her life and that she can't bear to be around them. Dr. Stanley calls the nurse & tells her to inform the parents he'd be with them shortly. She explains that Mrs. Capwell is in the cafeteria & Mr Capwell is napping. Though she tries to fight it, Mary can't resist going to see Mason in the waiting room. Her eyes well up with tears, as she sees him laying there, so peacefully. She goes for a pillow & gently places it under his head. Startled, Mason wakes up, seeing a blurry vision of Mary looking at him. Frantic, Mary, hurries away, as Mason sits up, calling her name. He wonders if Mary is trying to send him some kind of sign. ----Warren admires the headline about Capwell Enterprises in his business section, declaring that another chunk of company stock has been purchased. He erupts in laughter when he looks at the picture of Ted & Angela in the people page, and the picture he placed next to it of an angry Lily in her dress. He reads aloud the interview with Lily, talking about the disgrace she's experienced because of what Ted has done. As he's heading out, he's surprised to see Cruz standing in his doorway. "Cruz?" "I was about to knock, you got a minute?" "For you, sure" Cruz tells him that everything he's going to say has to be kept off the record & between the two of them. Warren obliges, and Cruz tells him that Angel Ramirez is being released from prison sometime in the afternoon. Warren remembers articles about Angel, the former drug dealer and murderer that Cruz had taken down years before. Warren also recalls that he was given a life sentence, carrying a minimum of 45 years. Cruz tells him how prison has reformed him and that his wife has stuck by him. More importantly, however, he informs Warren that the reason for this is that the SBPD is using Angel for an undercover investigation. He explains that everything thusfar has been kept low-key, but once he's released, it will be a matter of public record. He informs him that the local TV stations have agreed to a blackout of the story, but he knew Warren's newspaper hadn't been included. "What really makes you think you can trust this guy though, Cruz? Do you honestly think he harbors no resentment or ill will toward the man who put him in prison for his entire life? Does Eden know about this?" "No, she doesn't, and I wanna keep it that way. Look, whether I or the Police Department can trust Angel ain't your concern, man. I just need this favor....... Can I count on you?" Warren looks at him. "Well I do kinda owe ya one, since you got me out of that attempted murder wrap and all...." "I wasn't gonna bring it up but.....now that you mention it...." "Yeah, Castillo, I got your back. I suppose I'll be getting the exclusive once you nail these guys...." "You'll be the first to know" They shake on it. Cruz gets ready to head to the station, but not before Warren asks him if he's seen the Ted/Angela article. When Cruz admits he has, Warren ribs him, trying to get him to admit he enjoyed seeing Ted taken down a peg that way. Cruz denies it at first, but gives in & they share a chuckle about Gina dumping the entire wedding cake on Angela the previous night. ----Back at the hospital, Dr Stanley apprises Julia & Mason of Samantha's current condition. He tells them that she wasn't responding to the IV they had given her previously, so they've decided to try a different one. He explains that it's stronger and they're hoping it will trigger a response. He advises them that familiar voices and people surrounding her will also help, though very few visitors at a time, so not as to disturb her. Julia inquires about Dr Beckman, telling him they'd like to thank her for saving their daughter's life. He explains that Dr Beckman is seeing patients and, being as small a facility as they are, is very busy. He offers that if they insist on thanking her, a donation to the children's wing would be appropriate. CC & Sophia arrive, with CC heading right for Dr Stanley. He asks him why his granddaughter hasn't woken up yet. When the doctor tries to explain, CC informs him that he has 24 hours before he takes her to a larger facility, where she can be aided by teams of doctors and specialists. "You'll be doing no such thing, CC. This is my daughter we're talking about, mine & Mason's. These people saved her life last night and are working around the clock to give her the best possible care. She's staying right where she is!" Julia informs him "I'm sorry Julia. I know you must be devastated right now- I can imagine what you're going through, but understand that I'm only doing this because I love my granddaughter very much. I just want her to have the best possible care." "And she's going to get that, Dad," Mason says, "right here." Julia sees Eden, Adriana, and Rafe approaching. Trying to avoid a scene, she asks Mason to come in & see Samantha with her. He tells her to go ahead and that he'll be in shortly. When Rafe expresses concern for Samantha's condition, Mason hits the roof, explaining that had in not been for him, she wouldn't be in this condition. Adriana quickly defends her uncle, saying that he's just concerned and that it's not anybody's fault. Mason tells her while he understands her defending her uncle, he needs to take responsibility for crashing his motorcycle while obviously enraged over the wedding. It dawns on CC what is going on. "Wait a minute, YOU, YOU did this to my granddaughter? You put her in this condition? What the hell were you thinking son?" "Mr Capwell, I'm so sorry, if I could change places with her I would. It was an accident. I feel awful" "That's all you can say? Do you really think that your sorrys and accidents will matter to me if she doesn't make it? You just better pray she does..." Eden gets angry with her father, telling him that Rafe feels terrible and it does nobody any good to place blame & make things worse. CC tells her to calm down, that he has to leave to go to Capwell anyway. Sophia tells him she thinks that's a wise idea. She informs him that she'll call if there's any change. Mason goes into the room, joining Julia by their daughter's side. Walking by in the hallway, Mary stops and sees them at both sides of Samantha's bed, each holding her hand. "You did the right thing, Mary. Look at them. Look how much they love each other, and their daughter. How could you have even thought of destroying that? I won't......I never will....." ---Back in the waiting room, Adriana, Rafe, Eden, and Sophia all contemplate Samantha's condition. Eden tells her that she wishes CC had been calmer, but Sophia understands it. How could he possibly be calm when she's an absolute mess. Sophia stands up and walks toward the window to Samantha's room. Her eyes well up with tears as she sees Mason & Julia by their daughter's side, crying. Eden sees her mother getting upset and walks next to her, putting her arm around her. Suddenly, the moment is interrupted when they hear a familiar voice behind them. "Nurse, Nurse! Please, I'm looking for information about my granddaughter's condition? Can someone help me please." Sophia & Eden turn around, amazed. "I believe I can give you the information you're looking for." "Sophia!" "Hello, Pamela." THE END..........for today

http://santabarbara-online.com/GeneriqueDebutUS.rm (EXT: the beach, panning up to the gorgeous church) --- The entire church is stunned to see Angela standing at the altar in place of Lily. Noone is more surprised than the groom himself. Gina immediately stands up & demands that Angela explain where Lily is. Angela gives Ted a look, trying to see if he's okay with her revealing their relationship. Ted looks back at her, still amazed she is standing there. "Well?!? Are you going to say anything Angela? Where is Lily? What have you done with my daughter?" a ferocious Gina demands. Angela explains that Lily is fine. She tells them that, before the ceremony, she and Lily had a heart to heart. Angela shocks everyone when she announces that she & Ted have been having an affair. Lily, she says, was completely devastated, however disbelieving she may have been at first. Angela then claims that Lily took off after Rafe, who she realized she was in love with. "She said she can't live without him.......... Kind of like I can't live without you, Ted Capwell. I don't know how it happened, I don't, but somewhere along the way, I fell in love with you. I'm not going to deny it....." "Wait. Say that again...." "What?" "What you just said.........Say what you just said" "I love you Ted" "I...Love you too Angela.." they begin kissing "Oh this is ridiculous," Gina hisses, "and I don't believe a word of it. There's no way Lily would give up on Ted....... Ted....... Ted.......... TED!!! You can't go through with this....... You can't believe her" "Lily made her choice Gina. I love Lily, very much, and she'll always be a good friend, but I'm not in love with her like I am with Angela. I....want her to be my wife......Marry Me?" "That was the idea....note the dress" (EXT: a limosine, driving the roads of California) ---Lily wakes up in the back seat of her limosine. Lily screams for the driver to take her back to the church, but the driver tells her he's been instructed not to do so. When Lily commands him to do so, he puts up the separation window. Furious, Lily picks up the phone in the back, but cannot dial out. The driver picks up his phone, telling her it's useless, just to enjoy the ride and they'd be at their destination soon enough. Lily, frustrated, tries all the doors & windows but they are locked. She sits back, miserable. "You're going to pay for this Angela Cassidy, Mark my words. The second I get back, Ted & I will be married and you can just deal with that." (EXT: The Church) --Keith calms Gina down, but she refuses to stay for the ceremony. She calls Lily, but her cell phone is shut off. Keith convinces her that Angela probably was telling the truth and she's with Rafe by now. Gina frets about why Lily would do something like this to Ted and Keith admits his disappointment that Lily won't be a Capwell. "You think we're still invited for Thanksgiving?" Keith smirks "I wouldn't count on it..." Gina replies They head back into the church, taking their seats as Angela and Ted exchange vows. CC remarks to Sophia that he's pleased with the turn of events, while Eden & Julia are completely stunned. Julia asks Adriana where Samantha is, and Adriana goes looking for her. She comes back, telling Julia there's no sign of her anywhere. Julia wonders aloud where she could be and Adriana mentions she saw Rafe pulling up on his bike at the start of the wedding. Julia puts two & two together, as Mason looks at her from the front, asking about Samantha. Julia mouths back to him that she has it "under control" Eden & Julia share a laugh at Mason's expense, since those are the words he'd used with her earlier. Ted & Angela are pronounced man & wife. (EXT: San Remos Hospital) ---Mary comes out of surgery with Samantha, and Rafe asks to speak with her. He introduces himself as Rafe Castillo, she as Dr. Beckman. Realizing he doesn't recognize her, she asks him if Samantha's family has been notified. He tells her that he's called their house, but can't get a hold of anyone, since they're all at a wedding, and he doesn't know her parent's cell phone numbers. When he inquires about Samantha's condition, she tells him that she made it through surgery okay, but she has a severe concussion and some broken ribs. She tells him that her condition is critical, so her immediate family should be notified as soon as possible. The doctor examining Rafe comes in, telling him he only has some minor bruising and should be okay to go home. Rafe insists on staying with Samantha until her family is notified. Mary heads to her office, where she's visibly concerned about the possiblilty of Mason & Julia seeing her. She flashes back to her supposed last moments before death, on top of the roof of the Capwell Hotel, as the letter "C" comes crashing down on top of her. (to view the actual scenes, go here http://santa.barbara.free.fr/Videos1986.htm ) Mary then flashes back to Mark, rushing her to an emergency clinic outside of town. There are flashes of her laying in a coma, with a nurse checking on her, and an exhausted Mark McCormack by her side. (EXT: The Church) --- Lily finally arrives back at the church and is disappointed that everyone has left. When she sees the priest and asks him if he'll be able to perform the ceremony late, he tells her that the ceremony is over. Lily is confused, but the priest explains that another woman, Angela, walked down the aisle & told everyone, including the groom, that she was in love with him and that you had decided you no longer were. Lily asks where everyone is now, and he tells her he assumes the reception. He agrees to drive her to the Capwell mansion. (EXT: The Capwell Mansion) --- Mason introduces Ted & Angela as Mr. & Mrs. Capwell. Mason proudly toasts his brother, eloquently summing up the wild events of the day. Gina is annnoyed by the whole celebration. She pulls Angela aside and warns her that she better not have manipulated anything or she'd have her to deal with. Meanwhile, Cruz gets a phone call from his brother, informing him that he & Samantha were in an accident. He tells Cruz that he's fine, but informs him of Samantha's condition. Eden asks Cruz what's the matter & they rush over to inform Julia & Mason. Mason wonders why nobody called him, and Cruz tells him that Rafe tried the house, but didn't have any other way to reach them. "That's odd. Mother should have picked up...." he wonders. "MOTHER? As in WHO, mother? YOUR Mother?!?" Julia incredulously asks him "Yes, yes, I'll explain on the way, where did the take her Cruz?" "An emergency clinic outside of town, in San Remos" They rush out. Back at the reception, Ted & Angela cut their cake & feed each other. Just then they are interrupted. "Excuse me everyone. Can I have your attention? I'd like to propose a toast......" Lily says entering, still dressed in her own wedding dress. "LILY! Where have you been? What happened? " Gina asks her daughter, as Ted stands looking on, stunned. "Shall we fill them in Angela?" Lily gives a speech, about how much she loved & trusted Ted Capwell. When Ted tries to interrupt, asking why she left him then, Lily explains that she never did. She tells the stunned crowd how Angela came into the bridal room right before the wedding and detailed their affair. She explains that she didn't believe her, nor did she care. She was still going to marry Ted. "Because I loved you. Because I respected you and our relationship and I thought you did too. Obviously I was wrong...." She tells everyone how Angela used chloroform to knock her out, and proceeded to dump her in the limosine, where she was driven around aimlessly while they exchanged vows. She tells them when she woke up, she still thought she'd marry Ted, but was floored when the priest told her that he was already married. She admonishes each and every one of them for letting this take place. She especially lays into Sophia, who she claims that she thought was moral and wouldn't have allowed her to be humiliated in this way. She tells them that she now sees them as her mother has always seen them- as the cruel, self-centered, egotistical liars that she now knows them all to be. She angrily tells Ted and CC that they will pay for what they have done to her, humiliating her in this way. Lily runs off in tears, with Keith chasing her out. Gina, absolutely steaming, heads for the wedding cake. She picks up the entire three-layer cake and dumps it all over Angela's dress and face. Gina reprimands all of them, telling them that they'll all pay for what they've done to her daughter. She tells Ted that she always thought he had some good in him, that he was the one Capwell she could trust. She talks of how Hayley loved him and how Gina grew to love him as well, through her now deceased niece. She tells him that he's exactly like his father, the lowest most disgusting life form on this earth. (pan to the bushes, where Pamela stands, having watched the entire scene) "I couldn't have said it better myself" she smiles (EXT: San Remos Hospital) ---Mason & Julia arrive and see Rafe in the waiting room. Mason immediately lays into him about the accident. Rafe tells them about the surgery, which a nurse confirms. When Mason asks for details about Samantha's surgery and condition, the nurse tells him they'd have to speak to one of the doctors about that. "Well where is the doctor?" Julia asks "Yes could you please get him, I need to...." "Her" Rafe interrupts. Mason shoots him a look. "her..... I need to know what's going on with my baby girl. Please can you GET HER NOW!!?" Mary is seen waiting in her office, looking at Mason & Julia from afar, from her window. Hearing his voice makes her face light up, though her heart is obviously racing. "Mason can't see me. He can't know.........Not like this...." THE END.....................for today

'RTSB' is very pleased to announce that Bernard White will be returning to the role of Angel Ramirez, on a recurring basis. The role right now is short-term, but there is always a chance that his stay could be extended. Mr White first aired as Angel last week, and will be re-appearing this week. Angel has spent the past 20 years of his life in prison, at the hands of Cruz Castillo. In the story, he's being released under the condition he go undercover in the ongoing police investigation into a local drug ring. In other news, as everyone who viewed Friday's show is aware, Harley Jane Kozak has returned to her role as Mary Duvall. The ex-nun and ex-nurse is now a doctor, living in San Remos, just outside of Santa Barbara. Ms. Kozak is on contract & will be featured heavily in the coming months. Could Jon Lindstrom (ex-Mark) be far behind? STAY TUNED!!!! Also, 'RTSB' has upped Margarita Cordova to contract status. While there is no major story planned for Rosa at the moment, she will be featured regularly. I think Margarita commands respect and deserves to be honored with a contract. As for what's going to happen this week, I'm continuing my mantra of keeping a tight lid on things. I will say, by week's end, all of the contract characters (with possibly 1 exception) will have been introduced. Also, the second 1/2 of the wedding- the reception!!!! There's going to be PLENTY going on there By the way, thanks to everyone who helped 'RTSB' premiere at #1 in the SONBC Ratings, with a 3.3 rating!!! I've been pleasantly surprised with the amount of interest the blog has generated thusfar & hope you all will stick with it. You'll be glad you did

Thanks for the comments you guys! By the way, for those who never have watched SB before & are reading, the doctor revealed at the end of today's episode was Mary Duvall, Mason's presumed dead first love. Also, the bride was Angela.

http://santabarbara-online.com/GeneriqueDebutUS.rm (EXT shot: panning into a grand church offshore from the beach) ----Guests begin arriving at the church for Ted & Lily's wedding. Cruz arrives with Julia, talking about the judge's agreeing to grant Angel an early release. Eden spots them and quizzes Cruz on the goings on, but he keeps a tight lid on things. Sophia & CC tell Julia about Mason running so late from the house, which Julia finds odd, since he was supposed to leave the house shortly after her. Julia is surprised to see Warren arrive with Angela. Julia asks her nephew what's going on but he insists he & Angela are only friends. She blasts him for detailing their private conversation in his newspaper. He tells her not to worry, that he'd never reveal her as his source. CC spots Warren and attempts to get up to confront him, but Sophia holds him back, with help from Rosa. "Ted invited him CC, please......you can deck him after the wedding" CC looks at his wife, disappointed, but sees the determination in her eyes. "If you're expecting me to forget about this, you're far off the mark Sophia" She nods and looks at him, and he sits back down, staring down Warren. "Yikes," Angela says, "I'd hate to be in your shoes after the ceremony" "I'm not afraid of CC, believe me. I'll take him on and any like him any day of the week" Gina, Keith, & Lily arrive, and Gina heads to the Bridal room with Lily. Keith notices what Sophia has on, and remarks to Julia & Samantha that it's going to be a bumpy day. Eden, hearing this, turns around and warns him that he better behave today or he'd have her to deal with. Keith deadpans, "I'm shaking Eden. Really. I am......... Calm down there Princess, I'm not out to cause any kind of trouble. You'll see what I'm talking about when you see Gina" Eden, Cruz & Julia look at each other, knowingly. Adriana remarks to Samantha how much she loves weddings, to which Samantha replies that the most she's hoping for is that Lily trip on her dress and fall flat on her face at any point during the day. Adriana asks Samantha why she hates Lily so much, and she tells her a little about what Lily's past history with Mason. Samantha also flat out says that she "annoys the hell" out of her anyway. Mason & Ted finally arrive at the church, and Ted can't resist stopping by the bridal room. Mason, meanwhile, heads into the church and is stopped by Julia, who's asks him what's going on. Mason assures her he has everything under control & not to worry. When she wants to know what took him so long, he tells her he'd prefer telling her outside of a church setting, since profanity most likely would be used. Julia is frustrated when he walks away, to go look for Ted. ---In the bridal room, Gina & Lily reminisce about her as a child and growing up. They hear a knock at the door. "Who is it?" Gina asks "It's Ted!" "TED! You can't come in here! It's bad luck for the groom to see the....." "Relax, Gina, I'm not coming in, I just want to talk to Lily before the ceremony....." "Through the door" Lily tells him Lily asks him if he's nervous and he says he's not, turning it around on her. She tells him she's more ready than ever to become Mrs. Ted Capwell. Ted tells her he wants nothing more and when he sees Mason coming, he says he'll see her at the alter. "I love you Lily" "I love you too Ted" Lily's face brightens and she tells Gina she'd like a few minutes alone before the ceremony. ---Ted & Mason enter the church and head for the altar, where they shake hands & speak with the priest. Meanwhile, Gina sees from the back of the church that Sophia has the same dress that she's wearing. Keith turns around and sees Gina hitting the boiling point. He races to the back of the church and takes her outside for some air. Ted notices Angela in the church with Warren and gives her a look, but looks away. Angela tells Warren to excuse her, and she needs to powder her nose. Angela makes a phone call before heading to the bridal room to confront Lily. Lily is stunned to see her and asks what she's doing there. Angela tells her about the affair with Ted- she lays it on thick, talking about near-misses they had with Lily and gives Lily intimate details about the affair. Lily is shaken and asks her why she's doing this. Angela tells her she thought she should know & couldn't live with it on her conciense. Lily sees right through this, telling Angela she doesn't have a conciense and only does things for herself, without even a thought of other people. She tells her that even if she believed her, which she doesn't, it doesn't change the fact that Ted is marrying her today and that he loves her, not Angela. Lily admits that he may have had a fling with Angela, but that's all it was- a fling. She further tries to hurt her by calling her a slut and tells her that men just use her up until they are done with her. Lily twists the knife by telling her that no man could love a woman like her, nor could she love a man, since she doesn't have the capacity for it. Angela is surprised by Lily's resilliance, and when Lily flat out tells her that she's marrying Ted no matter what Angela decides to pull. ---As the bridal march begins playing, Samantha looks out the window and sees Rafe pulling up on his motorcycle. She quickly heads outside, telling Adriana & Julia that she has to run to the ladies room. Gina walks down the aisle, as Lily's maid of honor, and shoots Sophia a nasty look. Sophia is infuriated to see Gina wearing her same dress. "Look at her. What IS she thinking? She did this on purpose, CC, mark my words. There's no way the boutique couldn't have known that I was wearing the same thing. I could STRANGLE her!!!" "Now, Sophia, calm down. After all, we promised that we'd behave today, for Ted's wedding. Isn't that what you said?" Sophia shoots him a disgusted look, but he smiles at her, calming her down. Everyone rises as the bride walks down the aisle. From the back of the church, Rafe sees her approaching the altar. He realizes all is lost, at which time Samantha asks him what he's doing there. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing" He races out the door toward his motorcycle, with Samantha following. She tells him that she's not letting him go off alone in his condition, puts on the second helmet, and gets on back as they speed off. As the ceremony is beginning, Rafe & Samantha are shown speeding down a windy Santa Barbara road. Samantha tells him to calm down- that they're going to get killed if he doesn't. Just then they hit a sharp turn and both are thrown from the bike. Rafe wakes up & sees Samantha is badly injured. He flags down a car & 911 is called. (EXT shot- San Remos Hospital) --- The mysterious doctor is shown, reading Warren's article on the takeover of Capwell Enterprises. The doctor stares down at it, gently brushing their finger over Mason's picture with Ted & CC. "Doctor, there's a girl being brought in right now in terrible shape. Motorcycle Crash. EMTs have told us that she's bleeding internally & will require surgery. They should be here any minute" The doctor places the newspaper in a drawer and races out. (EXt shot- The Church) ---The priest begins the ceremony with the usual introductions. Couples in the church are shown, happy together. CC and Sophia, taking in what the priest is saying about the institution of marriage. Mason & Julia, looking at each other across the church with the mention of arguments in a relationship. Gina & Keith give each other a look when he mentions fun being an important ingredient in any marriage. Eden & Cruz are shown when love, commitment, and honor are mentioned while the priest talks about committing to your soul mate for the rest of your eternal lives. The priest mentions the element of surprise, and then asks for the rings.......At that time, the bride lifts her veil and makes her presence known. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v717/juniorz1/Bride.jpg (EXT shot- San Remos Hospital, flash to sign "Emergency Clinic" ---Samantha is rushed in on a stretcher by the EMTs, with Rafe at her side. The nurse informs him that he, of course cannot go back with her. The mysterious doctor is shown swiftly walking down the hall toward Samantha's room. When the doctor enters and sees who Samantha is, a familiar voice is heard. "Oh my God! It can't be........." The camera slowly pans up to the face that goes with that familiar voice.................. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v717/juniorz1/Surprise.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v717/jun...1/surprise2.jpg THE END..........for the week

http://santabarbara-online.com/GeneriqueDebutUS.rm (EXT shot: the beach, then panning to the exterior of Mason & Julia's home) ---Mason is stunned to see Pamela standing in the doorway before him. She greets him warmly, with a kiss on the cheek & a hug. Mason is unresponsive at first, but his emotions get the best of him and he embraces his mother. "Mother, what on earth are you doing here?" "If I haven't been misinformed, I believe there is a wedding today...." Mason interrupts her, telling her she can't possibly want to go to the wedding. Plus, he questions whether she's been invited, which of course she hasn't. "An oversight, I'm sure. I highly doubt that Ted would have imagined in his wildest dreams that I'd travel all this way from London for his & Lily's special day. But.....I missed my son so much and the thoughts of being with him at this celebration, watching him walk down the aisle all dressed up..... I couldn't resist. Not to mention my granddaughter, who I'm dying to see. Where are Julia & Samantha anyway?" Mason explains that they are at Eden's getting ready for the wedding; Pamela jumps on this and suggest they go over and see them. Mason tells her they'll be doing no such thing until she explains the real reason she's in town. Pamela is insulted by what her son is suggesting. He then reminds of her of the last time she crashed a Capwell celebration and the resulting chaos. She's further hurt when Mason tells her in no uncertain terms that she will not be spoiling his brother's day. Pamela continues to insist that she's not there to spoil anything or cause any sort of trouble. She emphatically states that she is there strictly for her son & not to hurt CC or Sophia. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions, Mother. Whether you're setting out to cause a commotion or not is immaterial. The fact is that if you show up at that church, UNINVITED, that is exactly what is going to happen. I'll tell you something Mother, I'm not going to let that happen. If I have to sit here with you through the entire ceremony, watching you like a three year old, then that's exactly what I'll do." Pamela softens, seeing the desperation in her son's eyes. She apologizes for just showing up without calling, and decides it would be best for her to cut her trip short and return to London. Mason tells her that he's onto the motherly guilt trip she's laying on him but obviously he doesn't want her to just leave. He explains that he wants to spend time with her & wants her to be able to see Julia and Samantha. Pamela says that's all she wants too. "Alright mother. The wedding is in a couple of hours. Between the wedding & the reception, there will be some time that we can come home & spend some time with you. I need to be able to trust you......Promise me......Forget that- Swear to me on my life that you will not under any circumstances show up at that church." "Mason, darling, I swear on your life you won't be seeing me at that church......." Mason interrupts, "Or at Eden's....." "Or at Eden's. Now go to your brother's wedding and stand up for him. Make me proud." With that, Mason gives her a kiss & embrace good-bye, and heads toward the door. As he's leaving, he shoots her a look..... "I know a son's guilt trip when I see it. I WON'T BE THERE! Now go" Mason smiles at her and she smiles back. He leaves, at which point a devious look takes over Pamela's face. "Now the reception, dear, is a whole other ballgame....." ---Over at the Blake house, Lily is unable to contain her excitement in front of Gina. Though she thought she'd be nervous, as she has been for weeks, Lily tells her mother she's surprisingly calm and ready to marry Ted. Gina beams and tells Lily that if Lily's happy, she's happy. Just then, Keith arrives. Gina points out how svelte he looks in his tux. He inquires as to why she isn't dressed yet as well. She explains that there were some last-minute alterations that had to be made on her gown, so she's picking it up now. Keith tells her to go ahead & he'll stay with Lily. Lily insists that they both go- she doesn't want to chance anything going wrong on her wedding day. They agree and head out, but not before Gina kisses her daughter good-bye, still beaming. (EXT shot: the Capwell house) ---Ted walks down the Capwell staircase as Sophia looks on from below. She remarks on how handsome and grown up her baby looks in his tux on his wedding day. Ted reminds her that he's no longer her 'baby', which Sophia retorts he will always be. She tells him how proud she is of him and how thrilled she is in his choosing someone of Lily's character as his wife. She says she looks forward to welcoming her to the family today. "Will we be rolling out the Welcome Wagon for Gina as well?" CC says, surprising them as he's descending from the staircase approaching. When Ted & Sophia begin to get defensive, CC assures them that he's only kidding and is very proud of his son. CC begins talking about Warren's article again, but Sophia cuts him off immediately, reminding him of his promise to not discuss business for the entire day. Rosa then enters. "Oh Rosa, you look beautiful" "Thank you Sophia. I'm honored that you invited me Ted" "Of course, Rosa" he responds, "we wouldn't have it without you." "Well I appreciate that very much Ted. You know I look at you today and I remember a young boy many years ago, thrilled playing with his new train set" "As if it were yesterday" Sophia chimes in. CC interruptingly says, "You know, where in the HELL is Mason? He was supposed to be here almost an hour ago- He hasn't even called. He's Ted's best man for crying out loud, can he never be relied on for anything?" "My ears must have been ringing" Mason says as he enters the front door. "Son, where in the hell have you been? It's your brother's damn wedding day for God's sakes and all he...." Sophia loudly interrupts "ENOUGH! CC Capwell, for one day, you are going to behave yourself or so help me....... Mason, you look very handsome" "Thank you, Sophia" CC frets that they had better get going, but Mason tells them to go ahead- that he'd like some time alone with Ted before they head to the church. When CC protests, Sophia literally shuts his mouth & she and Rosa escort him out the door. After they leave, Mason informs Ted that Pamela is in town. Ted goes ballistic, saying that she'd better not show up & ruin the day. Ted realizes his disrespect toward Mason's mother and apologizes. He tells Mason that in a perfect world, he'd be more than happy to have Pamela at the wedding, but since they live within the Capwell world, it just wouldn't work. Mason agrees and assures him that Pamela will not be an issue- he's handled it. When Ted asks where she is, Mason informs him she's at his house. Ted asks Mason how he can be so sure that she won't crash the ceremony and Mason tells him that he made her swear on his life that she wouldn't show up & cause trouble. He says that he lied & told her there would be time between the ceremony and the reception that he would be able to spend with her. About more pressing matters, Mason asks Ted how he's feeling about the day. Ted claims to be elated and not nervous at all, but Mason can tell that is not the case. He questions whether Ted is sure he wants to marry her. "Of course I do Mason. Lily is perfect- she's my best friend, and the perfect person to spend the rest of my life with. She's my companion. I love her" "Ahh, but are you IN love with her? That, Theodore, is the question" "Of course I am. Would I be marrying her otherwise?" Mason shoots him a look and Ted stares right back at his brother. He then notices the time & suggests they get going, since he doesn't want to be late for his own wedding. ---Gina & Keith arrive at the bridal boutique and encounter Robin, the dutiful employee. When Gina asks for her gown, Robin stumbles, saying there's been a bit of a mishap and unfortunately, the gown is ruined. Gina INSISTS that she get it and Robin comes back with the gown, which is a blinding shade of fuscia (sp?). Gina is enraged when Robin asks if she'd like to keep the dress as is. "You're joking, right? This is my daughter's wedding we're talking about here- you think I'm going to show up looking like Glenda the Good Witch" "Oh Ms Blake, it's not THAT bad, I think it would be quite becoming on you" "BECOMING? I'll show you BECOMING you twit..." Gina lunges at her and Keith holds her back. Gina struggles to go after the poor clerk, who is visibly shaken. "I wish there were something more I could do?" "Oh you're going to do something more Rhonda." "It's Robin" "I don't care what your name is, all I care about is you marching your perky little behind out here and sift through these rags, and help me find something appropriate" As she's saying it, a gorgeous blue gown catches her eye. When Gina asks about it, Robin tells her that it was to be the mother of the groom's dress, but didn't fit properly. Gina presses it against her, noticing it would fit quite nicely on her frame. She wonders aloud how on earth Sophia could ever think she could pull off a dress like that and Keith agrees. Robin tries to get a word in edgewise, but Gina goes on about how it would just kill Sophia for Gina to show up looking like a million bucks in the dress Sophia was originally going to wear. She & Keith relish the thought & he informs the clerk they'll take it. Robin again protests, insisting it's the mother of the groom's dress..... "WAS her dress" Gina corrects "but as you said, poor, frumpy Sophia just couldn't manage to squeeze herself into this. Lucky for me, it will fit my body like a glove," Before Robin can say anything else, Gina & Keith are out the door, with the dress. ---Lily looks at herself in the mirror, dressed in her wedding gown. "Mrs Ted Capwell" she says to herself, "I like the ring of that." Just then, she hears the roar of a motorcycle in the driveway. She walks to the door and is floored to see Rafe Castillo standing there, helmet in hand. Tears well in Rafe's eyes, as he takes in Lily dressed in her wedding gown. He explains that he saw the wedding announcement and couldn't let her go through with it. He didn't want to come in & ruin her life, but he wouldn't have been able to live with himself if he didn't see her, at least try to get through to her while he still had the chance. Lily reminds him that he's married now with a child & they have no future together. Rafe tells him of Lisa's deception and Lily tells him how horrible that is what Lisa did to him. Rafe says that had Lisa never come into their lives, he'd be married to Lily right now. "But she did Rafe. Lisa did happen. The child didn't turn out to be yours, I understand that. But it doesn't change the fact that you slept with her in the first place" Rafe agrees and tells her she can't possibly understand the guilt he's felt for years. He says that he was still so ashamed and humiliated and couldn't face Lily, but the love he had for her never went a day. He tells her that he hasn't been able to be with a woman, any woman, because in his heart, he knew he'd always be cheating with Lily. He tells her he'll do anything to have her back, walk on firey coals, let her hit him repeatedly so she can hurt him much like he hurt her. Lily, with tears in her eyes, tells him that she's also loved him still for all this time and that he'll always have a piece of her heart. Rafe takes that to mean that she's going to call off the wedding and picks her up, twirls her around, and passionately kisses her. She tries not to at first, but her emotions take over & Lily kisses him back. She stops herself though and tells Rafe he's not understanding her. She tells him that it's too late for them, that any chance they had to be together he blew years ago. She informs him that Ted is her future and that she loves him. "I'm marrying Ted today Rafe and that's all there is to it." "I can't believe you've given up on us. I won't believe it" "Well you're going to have to accept it Rafe. You can't just show up here on your motorcycle after not hearing from you for years & expect me to just welcome you back into my life and to hell with everyone and everything else. It doesn't work that way" Lily tearfully tells him that she's made her choice, and she made up her mind long ago. "I don't believe you love him. Not the way you loved me" Lily concurs that her relationship with Ted is different from her relationship with Rafe. Ted stabilizes her, he makes her feel safe. She doesn't worry about him betraying her or knocking up a woman that she detests. With tears in her eyes, she tells Rafe to leave & asks him not to show up the wedding, telling him that no matter what he does to disrupt it, it's going to happen. "Okay, Lily, I'll go.... for now. But don't think I'm giving up. Not by a longshot" He takes off on his motorcycle as Gina & Keith are pulling up. They see Lily is crying, her makeup smeared. Gina asked what on earth was going on & Lily tells her Rafe was there. When Gina starts getting on to Lily about Rafe, going on about what he did to her & the nerve he had showing up there, Lily asks her to stop. She tells her that he's gone, that it's over for them for good. She's marrying Ted Capwell today and nothing is going to stop her. They walk inside and Lily catches a glimpse of herself in the mirror.... "Oh mom, I'm a mess. I can't walk into that church looking like this, my eyes are red now & swollen, and I absolutely don't want Ted or his family thinking I've been crying like a basket case. "Not to worry Lily. Your mom still has few tricks left in her. Let's go upstairs & get you & I fixed up, shall we?" Lily takes her arm, and they head out. Keith gives Gina a wink & she responds. They exit, and Keith, now alone says, "Oh you're going to be a Capwell after today Lily. And you, your mother, and I are going to take the Capwells for all they're worth" He smirks and bursts into gleeful laughter. THE END.........for today............. SNEAK PEAK AT TOMORROW- for those of you who have been following each day, I want to warn you that tomorrow is going to be BIG! Of course there's the wedding, but more importantly........... A MAJOR CHARACTER, so far unannounced, will be returning to the canvas. I'll tell you this - the town of Santa Barbara will NEVER BE THE SAME!!!!!! Oh, and it will be posted much earlier in the day. Again, Sorry about this one being so late

Sort of cross-plugging here, but there's a radio show, hosted by SON's very own Ryan Chandler & Na'Vell, called "In The Zone" and yesterday, 'RTSB' (the BLOG doh dohs! ) was brought up by RC. Actually, he brought Santa Barbara up first, but used that as a segway to praise 'RTSB'. By happenstance (honest to Goodness), I had called in since I heard them talking about 'SB'. What resulted was a fun reminiscence about 'SB' as well as a discussion on 'RTSB' between the three of us and Bree, another SONer & guest caller. If you're interested to hear the goings on, you can check out the archive of the show at : http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia/blogtalkradio/show_4519.wax Check it out- it's a fun show!!! Oh, and so everyone doesn't hate me, and to perhaps even endear me, the SB/RTSB segment occurs approximately 18 minutes into the show Oh.....and....by the way....... the next episode will be up shortly! Sorry I'm late today- BUSY DAY!!!!!

That's the guy actor!! Thanks so much to you & sb84 for helping me find him. Seeing his pic brings back memories. He is Angel & since the part is short-term, I'd rather go with the original than bring on a name. By the way sb84, I LOVE that site & visit it often- I forgot just how comprehensive it is. I'll be using it for the show- LOVE the clips there too BTW. Some of my fave storylines.
-
I've looked & looked and for the life of me, I cannot find the actor who played the role of Angel Ramirez. Angel was a short-term character around 85 or 86, and was brought back in 87/88, when Cruz was jailed for the murder of Eleanor Norris/Elena Nikolas. I checked IMDB, which has a surprisingly comprehensive list, but after going over it with a fine tooth comb, I found no mention of Angel. There aren't many SB sites out there and on the ones there are, I have yet to find any information on this character. So since I haven't found the original, I need the help of anyone who remembers the character at all- if you remember the original actor, great! But if not, I'd like any ideas you may have as to who would be good in the part. Angel would be in his late 30s, is a hardened criminal, former gang member, very rough around the edges, and hispanic. The role is short-term and a recurring one, though I'm keeping my mind open about possibly expanding his run. Again, any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!! Time is of the essence- he'll start appearing more regularly next week!

Good ep!!! I'm sorry to see Liam go, though. For some reason, I liked his character- I tend to gravitate towards that type of male soap character. Plus... Grant Aleksander

http://santabarbara-online.com/GeneriqueDebutUS.rm (EXT shot- the Capwell Mansion) ---Ted wakes up, and is surprisingly tense on his wedding day. He walks down to the breakfast table, where he sees CC holding a newspaper. CC shows him the headline- which reads "Youngest Capwell to Marry.......Amidst Crises at Family Company" CC asks Ted if he said anything to Warrren, and Ted is insulted he'd even think so. When CC wonders aloud if Angela may have been the one to give the inside sccop to her ex-lover, Ted explodes, defending Angela and blasting CC for placing blame for the company's problems on everyone but himself. CC fires back that for someone who's getting married to Lily today, he seems awfully passionate about his ex-lover Angela. The argument continues, until Sophia comes down & interrupts. She calmly tells CC that this is supposed to be a happy day for the family and she's not letting anything ruin it, certainly not business. When CC continues to protest, saying this company is his baby & he's built it from the ground up, Sophia replies that Tad is their baby. They've nurtured him, cared for him and watched him grow from a boy to a man. Sophia tells him it's time he put his living babies over his other baby. CC gets defensive, saying he always puts his family first. "When it suits you CC. I'm asking you- for me- I need this day. I want the family to all be together and enjoy the celebration of Ted & Lily's wedding. Kelly's going to be coming home today and I don't want her walking into a war zone." Sophia stated. No sooner did she say that then did Rosa enter the room, saying Kelly was on the phone. CC & Sophia's faces lit up. When CC went for the phone, Rosa told him that Kelly has asked to speak with Ted. "Nonsense. Let me talk to my daughter...." he said, but before he had the chance, Ted grabbed the phone and started talking to Kelly. A short conversation ensued, "that's too bad" and "I understand" were heard from Ted's end, responding to her. They hung up and Ted told CC & Sophia that Kelly wouldn't be making it for the wedding. CC asked why and Ted told him that she claims she missed her flight and wouldn't be able to get another one in time for the wedding. When CC said he'd send the Capwell jet, Ted reminded him that Kelly is in Switzerland at the moment and the jet wouldn't do much good, since the wedding is this afternoon. ---- A figure is shown, driving in a car. The person is very much covered up, obviously in some sort of disguise. They continue driving, looking at some sort of directions, and they finally pull up to what is revealed to be Mason & Julia Capwell's home. (EXT Shot- the beach, panning up to Mason & Julia's home) ---Mason, reading the newspaper, is infuriated by all the details Warren has incorporated in his story. Samantha mentions that Julia went to see Warren the day before. At first, Julia claims to have told him nothing. "Well if you're innocent as you say, Ms. Wainwright..." "Wainwright?" "Yes, Ms Wainwright, you wouldn't mind taking the stand then? Since you have nothing to hide....." "And who will play Judge & Jury? You Mason?" "No, I'll be playing the part of attorney. Samantha will be your judge." Julia (sarcastically) "That sounds fair." Mason begins his interrogation, laying into her about her close relationship with her nephew and her much more strained relationship with her father-in-law. When Mason continues to badger her (and Samantha overrules her badgering the witness objection), Julia cracks and admits that she may have told Warren more than she originally led on. Mason tells her that CC is going to go through the roof, Julia responds, "Oh that will be something brand new for him, won't it. CC is just the most even-keeled, sweetest guy I've ever met- I just can't imagine him all red in the face, vein in his neck popping, head bobbing violently as he becomes more enraged. Should be delightful to see" Samantha tells them that she's going to Adriana's to get ready for the wedding. Julia is pleasantly surprised she's going. "Well I hate Lily, but this is a Capwell wedding. CC doesn't 'do' dull" ---outside, the figure watches as Samantha crosses over to Cruz & Eden's place Julia tells her to let Eden know she'll be over shortly. Julia apologizes to Mason for the trouble her 'talk' with Warren has caused. Mason let's her know that it's all right and it'll be entertaining, at the very least, to see his father all worked up today. "Between Gina, the article, and your part in it, Dad will be like Yosemite Sam on speed today." They laugh, and Julia heads over to Eden & Cruz's. Outside, the mysterious person watches Julia driving away. The person picks up the newspaper, with the article about Capwell Enterprises, then picks up a picture of Mason. ---Eden reads portions of Warren's article aloud to Cruz quoting such lines as "men who are such cold and callous businessmen as CC Capwell make plenty of enemies- the only question is, which one is doing in his company?" Cruz says that Warren seems to have a good handle on things, which Eden thinks is too good. Adriana emerges & tells them that Samantha is on her way over. Cruz asks if Julia is coming over, since he has something to discuss with her. Eden asks if it's related to the case and Cruz says yes, but won't give her any more information. Eden tells him that it's her brother's wedding day, so she was hoping that work would be getting a break today. Cruz says he'll be all hers for the wedding and after, but there's something that needs taking care of immediately. Samantha arrives and lets Eden & Cruz know Julia will be following shortly. The ladies begin doing their hair & makeup, when everyone hears the sound of a motorcycle in the front. "That can't be Julia" Cruz says Jumping off the bike, Cruz recognizes exactly who it is. "Hey big brother" says Rafe, as he's throwing off his helmet. "Who is THAT?!?" Samantha inquires to Adriana. "That's my Uncle Rafe, my dad's younger brother" Adriana replies "Much Younger..." Samantha says, under her breath. Cruz asks him about Lisa and Rafe tells him he left her years ago, but hasn't told anyone in the family. When Cruz asks why, Rafe says he was embarassed- Lisa completely duped him and the baby was never his in the first place. It was Rich Landers, a punk they had gone to college with. Rafe talks about Lisa and how she ruined everything with Lily, which makes Eden & Cruz see the light as to why he's suddenly in town. Cruz tells him he should stay away from Lily & let her to be happy. Samantha asks why he'd even want her, and Rafe tells her how he's never stopped loving Lily, all these years, but felt too much shame in coming back for her, after what happened. Adriana says that he doesn't deserve her then, that if he loved her like he said, his pride wouldn't have gotten in the way. Eden proudly agrees with her daughter & scolds Rafe for coming back now, to put Lily in such a precarious position. Rafe says he won't be stopped, to which Cruz replies that he can guess again. Just then Julia arrives, and Cruz has to step aside to speak privately with her. When Eden wants to come, Cruz tells her it's police business and to stay here and watch Rafe. "Just stay here & keep an eye on my rebel brother" Eden mimics. Alone, Cruz tells Julia of his plan to use Angel Ramirez to break up the SB Drug Ring. Julia balks at the idea of putting the dangerous and violent former gang member Angel back on the streets. Cruz talks about the Ramirez family, and how much prison has actually changed Angel. Cruz tells her that if anyone should be nervous about Angel being free, it should be he, not her. Julia questions whether Angel can even definitely infultrate the organization but Cruz is confident. They head downtown, to get the paperwork filed and see if they can work on a judge before the wedding. Rafe sees his brother driving off with Julia and immediately starts putting on his stuff to leave. When Eden blocks the door to stop him, he begs her to let him go. He tells her of the pain he's in, and will always be in without Lily. At the very least, he claims he has to see her, just so he can live with himself. Samantha is visibly annoyed, while Adriana is visibly touched by what he says. She shoots her mother a look and Eden looks at Rafe. Seeing his brother in his eyes, "Go. Just...... Go. Do what you have to do. I understand that kind of love Rafe and I understand your need to go to her. Just.....she's in a different place in her life now, she's getting married you know so...... just don't set yourself up for a huge fall." Rafe assures her he won't and takes off on his motorcycle. ---Back outside Mason & Julia's, the figure sits, obviously contemplating whether to go inside. It's revealed to be a woman, as she puts on her makeup in the car. Mason hears a knock at the door. Thinking it's Julia or Samantha, he walks up to the door still talking as if it's them and when he opens it........... he freezes. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v717/jun...ysterywoman.jpg "Mother?!?" "Hello Son" THE END........for today

The character of Elizabeth, who hasn't yet been introduced, will now bear the name Elizabeth Wayne, not Armonti as previous reports have referred to her. Through research of the character's histories, I caught my error right away- while Sophia did previously have the Armonti name, it's because of the Count Armonti she married after divorcing CC, not a maiden name. I was able to dig up the real maiden name, Wayne, and made the necessary adjustment. Episode 3 will be up shortly........

http://santabarbara-online.com/GeneriqueDebutUS.rm (EXT Shot: the ocean, panning to Cruz & Eden's beach house) --- Eden was pleasantly surprised when Cruz stopped home for lunch. He quizzed her about why she was dressed up, since she wasn't originally supposed to go in to Capwell. She explained about the takeover bid & the board meeting that CC had called. Eden started to say that the whole thing has reminded her of the last time this happened years ago.....when she paused, Cruz finished her thought, that it reminded her of Robert Barr & his attempted takeover. Eden said she's reminded of it every day...... not only had she taken a life, but it was the life of someone she once loved. Cruz reiterated that it was self-defense, and that she thought it was his twin brother Quinn. Getting back on topic (and changing the subject), Cruz asks her if she has any idea who would want the company, and she seems to have no idea. Years ago she would have thought maybe Minx Lockridge or Lionel, but it doesn't fit, since the person is being so secretive, whereas the Lockridges would be rubbing it in CC's face. Eden turned things around on him, asking Cruz how things were going in his investigation. He told her the drug ring he's working on taking down is very thorough and tight-lipped. He says that it's frustrating, because 20 years ago, he'd have been able to take them from the inside himself, but now, with his notoriety, they have something of a rookie, Tim, working the inside. "Selfishly, I'm happy. After all, I've had to spend years worrying about you, not knowing if you're safe. Time & again you came back to me and while I felt a sense of relief, that worry was always there, in the pit of my gut, because I knew you'd wake up and do it all over again. Let Tim's wife deal with that now. I've done my time." Eden said, softly but forcefully. Cruz smiled. "You have, darlin, you have." His beeper went off. "That's work, I gotta go" "Anything I can do to help?" Eden asked, grinning. "Yeah. Stay out of it & go to your meeting." Eden grimaced at him. "Oh there is one thing you can do..." "What's that?" she asked "Tell Gina Hi for me." Eden smirked at his humor. "Tell Tim the same from your wife." He kissed her and headed out the door. ---As the elevator arrived at the ground floor of the Capwell building, Angela & Ted finished putting themselves back together. When they walk out of the elevator, Ted grabs her and tells her he's sick of playing games. He tells her he thinks she has feelings for him and all she has to do is say the word. Angela reminds him that while they have fun together, a committed relationship is not what either of them signed on for. She tells him that's she's done that in her life with David and it didn't work. Ted reminds her that that marriage didn't work because she wasn't in love with David. She throws in his face that it didn't work with Warren and she loved him too, which hurts him. Angela again reiterates that she likes Ted, she likes the fun they have and the sex is amazing, but it's just fun for her. Ted tells her he's officially cutting her off, which she laughs at. He claims to be very much serious, and that since he's marrying Lily the next day anyway, consider that their last rendezvous. Angela is disbelieving. When Ted angrily walks away from her, ending things for good, Angela, alone, shows her vulnerability in her face. She hurries off to the ladies room, to get composed. ---Julia shows up at the SB Chronicle and asks to see her nephew Warren. When he refers to her as "Auntie Julia", she scoffs, reminding him that they aren't so far apart in age. Julia asks him point blank if Augusta & Lionel have anything to do with the current crises at Capwell. Warren plays coy, saying that they live overseas in London and he doesn't know their day-to-day business lives. Julia doesn't let him evade the question so easily and wonders aloud if he may be involved. He admits while he'd love nothing more than to wipe the egotistical smiles off CC & Mason's faces, he's doing no such thing. Julia admits she's relieved, but Warren begins interrogating her on what is going on at Capwell, and she recounts the story of what's going on & the secrecy behind it. "Intriguing. Too bad the person is shrouded in so much secrecy. I'd put them on tomorrow's front page, if I could find them," he says After she leaves, Warren is on the phone to a contact, telling them to find out everything they can about the Capwell takeover. ---The board meeting commences, with CC, Ted, Gina, Angela, Eden, and Mason in attendance. CC says that the reports he's receiving are astounding, and within weeks, or even days, the whole thing could come to a head. Eden asks what, if anything, can be done to prevent it. Gina suggests just taking the company off the market altogether, which Mason laments would be disastrous for the company. They'd lose all kinds of revenues and credibility with their investors as well as other companies they do business with. CC suggests that Gina take it back down to the Day Care center and play with people on her level. Gina reminds him that she speaks for his son with her, Channing IV, which makes CC see red, yelling at her for having the audacity to question the love and loyalty he has for his son, after all the trickery she pulled off in the first place. When Gina starts going into detail about the Sperm Bank, Mason interrupts and suggests they get back to the issue at hand. Angela says that some time ago, she was working with a company in a similar situation and they brought in a financial specialist, who was able to crack the numbers, slowing down and eventually halting the takeover attempt. Angela tells them that time is of the essence and that the sooner they get someone, the better. CC retorts that with everything on his plate, meetings with CEOs, dealings with his associates and the general schedule he works, HE'S to be expected to go running to find some junior math genius to get us out of this mess? Gina chimes in, saying that she's got the time and is willing. CC scoffs at the offer, but Angela speaks up and says that she could work with Gina on finding the right person. Gina is insulted, claiming she doesn't need Angela's help and it's not a 2-person job. CC disagrees and immediately puts it to a vote, where they all vote against Gina. Angela will spear-head the search and Gina will assist. As the meeting adjourns, Gina warns Angela to stay out of her way, and Angela reminds her that Gina will be assisting her and not the other way around. Gina storms off. ---Angela, alone in the board room with Ted, asks him if he was impressed with her power in the meeting, if it turned him on. She locks the door, starts kissing his neck, and just as he's about to get passionate, Ted stops himself and tells her that he meant it- it's over between them. He's committed to Lily. Angela retorts that he wasn't so 'committed' a few hours ago, and Ted replies 'that was then.' He walks out of the room.... At the front of the Capwell building, Warren stops CC & Mason at the door and begins badgering them about the takeover attempt, asking for quotes. Mason gives a "no comment" and when Warren pressures him, Mason tells him that his "rag" and the "leigh person that runs it" aren't worth giving a nugget of information to. Warren then asks them why they think the person is being so secretive? "Maybe it's another long-lost illegitimate child CC. You have a few of those, no?" Warren jabs "You punk. I should expect such little class from a Lockridge. You get the hell out of my building!" CC angrily yells "Ahhh, but I'm not a Lockridge which...... oh I'm sure you remember CC, hell I could be a damn Capwell for all I know, since you won't submit a DNA sample" Warren shot back "Let me tell you something, son...." "Son? I like the ring of it....." "...For you to be a Capwell, I would have had to touch that mother of yours. Fortunately, unlike your father, I've had the good sense never to do that. Good day Lockrid.... oh , whoever the hell you are" ---At the station, Vic tells Cruz of the problems Tim is having in the investigation, saying that he's not trusted yet by these guys and the D.A.'s office is upping the pressure on them to crack the case open. Cruz goes over in his head who could help him, who he could use. Cruz flashes back to Angel Ramirez, whom he last saw when he was incarcerated. Cruz tells Vic that Angel would be perfect to send in undercover. He knew his family for years and decides to go talk to him. At the jail, Angel is resistent to helping Cruz in any way. He reminds him that he put him there years ago, and asks why the hell he should help him in anyway. Cruz says he hasn't let him make an offer yet. "Aight. What u offerin then Castillo?" "Your freedom." Angel smiles at the offer, and asks for something in writing. Cruz says he'll have Julia draw it up, and they can proceed with a judge. -----As music is playing, happy couples are shown together. Cruz & Eden, at home, in bed together. Julia & Mason, sitting in bed, talking. Ted & Lily, toasting with Keith & Gina. Ted leaving for the night. Cut to Angela, home, alone, with a glass of wine, humming "Here Comes The Bride" "Here's to you Angela Cassidy." She raises her glass and drinks. THE END.........for today

Due to some surprise viewer interest & that I've got my creative juices going, I've decided to make 'RTSB' a daily blog. There may be some weeks where there are only 3 or 4 episodes, but I'm going to shoot for 5 every week & there DEFINITELY will be 5 posted this week. Again, I have some commitments today that I have to tend to, but I will have the 2nd episode up for everyone as soon as possible, most likely late afternoon/early evening. Thanks everyone for the comments, support, and overall interest in the show so far. I have plenty planned for the show, including many, many surprises, as well as the returns of many past favorite (and perhaps not-so-favorite) characters. Preview for Today's Episode: I'm continuing to be tight-lipped about my story details but I WILL say that Cruz & Eden make their debut TODAY!!!!!!

Thanks you guys! One thing that I wanted to do is put Rosa in the first episode, since Margarita Cordova is the only SB star to have the distinction of being in both the first & last episode of the show. I wanted to continue that tradition.

RETURN to SANTA BARBARA EPISODE 1 http://santabarbara-online.com/GeneriqueDebutUS.rm ---Ted wakes up in a fantastic mood, discussing over breakfast his impending marriage to Lily Blake. CC remarks that though it's a slight improvement from Laken Lockridge, it's still inviting Gina right back into the family. Ted shoots back that he wasn't the one who involved the Capwell family with Gina in the first place. As CC's anger intensifies, he warns his son that he better be damn sure that Lily Blake is who he thinks she is- after all, years ago, Lily once attempted to con Mason with her evangelical studies. Sophia chimes in that Lily is a much different person now, and that she should not be judged on things that have happened so long in the past. --After the two men go to work, Sophia helps Rosa clean up from breakfast. Rosa can see that something is troubling Sophia and asks her long-time friend and employer to confide in her. Sophia remarks that's she's just so proud of Ted and of all her children, and though he's very much an adult now, she still thinks of Ted as her baby, and while she's intensely happy for him, it also makes her think of her own age. "Our kids think they're invincible and assume we are as well. But the sad truth is, we're not." she says to Rosa, quietly. "No, Sophia, none of us are." The two reminisce some more about their children and their hopes and dreams for them, and their grandchildren. Rosa tells Sophia how she misses Santana, who's teaching in Mexico, and Danny, who she says is married and living in Las Vegas. Rosa quietly talks about Reuben, and how she wishes he were there to see his son married. In the middle of it, the phone rings and Rosa tells Sophia that it's for her. Sophia takes the call and Rosa can tell that her mood dropped as the person began talking. Sophia tells them that she'll be there right away and when Rosa asks her where she's going & what's wrong, she's vague and tells Rosa not to worry. ---At Capwell, Ted and CC are informed that the stock continues being bought, and the possibility of an outside takeover is becoming more real. CC demands to know who is buying up the stock, but is informed by Mason that whoever is doing it is covering their tracks- each chunk of stock has been bought in a different location with a different name being used, with one unseemingly connected to the next. CC calls an emergency board meeting to address the problem. When Ted balks, saying he has to meet with Lily to go over some last-minute arrangements for tomorrow, Mason tells them that the takeover is imminent and if something isn't done quickly, the family could lose Capwell for good. Since Gina and two of the senior members can't meet until the afternoon anyway, Ted quickly slips out. ---Ted rushes on the elevator, not noticing the woman reading the newspaper in back. "Going down?" Ted asks As the door begins to close, the woman lowers the newspaper, revealing herself to be Angela Cassidy. "Could be" she snarks Ted tells her that he warned her this day would come & tomorrow, he's marrying Lily for the rest of his life. He also reminds her that she could have stopped him, all she had to do was say the word. Angela, calling his bluff, reminds him that she knows he could never go through with it. When he asks how she knows that, she pulls the stop button on the elevator and they begin to kiss. Ted can no longer control himself and tears off Angela's clothes and has sex with her right there. --Across town, Gina fantasizes about a life of luxury, hobnobbing with the rich & powerful. She imagines sitting next to Donald Trump and firing CC from Capwell, telling him that she's in charge now. When she wakes up, she smells the morning air and throws on her robe and enters her living room, in her glory. Lily informs her that Keith has left for work and asks why she's so chipper. Gina says it's not every day that her daughter gets married. Lily reminds her mother that the wedding isn't until tomorrow. Gina sure hopes so, since she still hasn't picked up her dress. Gina gets serious, for a moment, and asks her daughter if she truly loves Ted. Lily says that he's her best friend. Gina tells her that's not what she means, and asks her if her heart skips a beat when Ted enters a room or if he makes her smile no matter how sad she is. "Could you ever live a day without Ted Capwell in your life?" Gina leaves for Capwell, and Lily thinks hard about this question, and flashes back to the first time she made love with Rafe. ---Meanwhile, in New Mexico, Rafe is seen reading a newspaper announcement of Ted & Lily's marriage. Without much of a thought, he gets puts on his jeans and leather jacket & Jumps on his bike. "You have a wedding to crash" he says, looking at himself in the mirror. ---Gina is surprised to find Keith in her office at Capwell. He informs her that he knows who has been buying up the stock in Capwell Enterprises. When Gina asks who it is, he tells her she cannot know. He's made a gentleman's deal with the person that if he keeps quiet, then he & Gina will be put in charge of the company once the takeover goes through. He tells her that CC is calling a board meeting in the afternoon and for things to go in their favor, she needs to follow his instructions to a T. "For the last time Keith, who the hell is this guy? Who does he think he's dealing with here? CC will have his people working overtime to figure out who he is and a way to stop him." "Who he is isn't important right now Gina. What we need to worry about is getting you in control of that company. Right now, you have a portion of what's rightfully yours. Don't you want it all?" Keith shot back. Naturally, she did, and agreed to follow his plan carefully. ---Mason met his two favorite girls for lunch, and was annoyed that Julia & Samantha were arguing when he arrived. When Mason inquired as to what was going on, Julia informed him that their daughter was refusing to attend her uncle's wedding. Mason took her side, saying she's an adult & if she doesn't want to go, she doesn't have to. When he reminded her that it was open bar, she said that perhaps she'd attend the reception, jokingly. Both took a little glee at jabbing at Julia, who was visibly annoyed. Julia then reminded Mason that it's an open juice bar for him, to which he retorted, "Oh, Julia, it's a party..... and Gina's going to be there!?!" "Gina?" she paused..... "They having the hard stuff, or just wine & champagne?" Samantha became uncomfortable when her parents started asking if she was going back to school in the winter, at which time she squirmed out of there, claiming she's supposed to go shopping with Adriana. Julia asks Mason how things are going at Capwell, and he informs her of the latest goings on. She finds it peculiar that the person or persons is going to such lengths to keep their identity secret. She says that it doesn't make sense, that if the company is going for a takeover bid, what's with all of the secrecy? "Does your family have any enemies?" Julia deadpans. (EXT. Shot of a Hospital, in San Remos) A mysterious figure, in a white doctor's jacket, is seen holding a newspaper, reading the announcement of Ted & Lily's wedding, staring at the pictures. "Doctor- you're needed in the ER. Accident victims, just flown in by helicopeter. Looks bad." The figure opens up a filing cabinet and places the newspaper in a file, but something drops out. They pick it up, and it's a picture of Mason. A tear is shown dropping onto the picture and it's placed back in the file, and the doctor rushes out. Zoom in on the file, titled: MASON. The End....... for today
