  1. http://santabarbara-online.com/GeneriqueDebutUS.rm (EXT Shot: the ocean, panning to Cruz & Eden's beach house) --- Eden was pleasantly surprised when Cruz stopped home for lunch. He quizzed her about why she was dressed up, since she wasn't originally supposed to go in to Capwell. She explained about the takeover bid & the board meeting that CC had called. Eden started to say that the whole thing has reminded her of the last time this happened years ago.....when she paused, Cruz finished her thought, that it reminded her of Robert Barr & his attempted takeover. Eden said she's reminded of it every day...... not only had she taken a life, but it was the life of someone she once loved. Cruz reiterated that it was self-defense, and that she thought it was his twin brother Quinn. Getting back on topic (and changing the subject), Cruz asks her if she has any idea who would want the company, and she seems to have no idea. Years ago she would have thought maybe Minx Lockridge or Lionel, but it doesn't fit, since the person is being so secretive, whereas the Lockridges would be rubbing it in CC's face. Eden turned things around on him, asking Cruz how things were going in his investigation. He told her the drug ring he's working on taking down is very thorough and tight-lipped. He says that it's frustrating, because 20 years ago, he'd have been able to take them from the inside himself, but now, with his notoriety, they have something of a rookie, Tim, working the inside. "Selfishly, I'm happy. After all, I've had to spend years worrying about you, not knowing if you're safe. Time & again you came back to me and while I felt a sense of relief, that worry was always there, in the pit of my gut, because I knew you'd wake up and do it all over again. Let Tim's wife deal with that now. I've done my time." Eden said, softly but forcefully. Cruz smiled. "You have, darlin, you have." His beeper went off. "That's work, I gotta go" "Anything I can do to help?" Eden asked, grinning. "Yeah. Stay out of it & go to your meeting." Eden grimaced at him. "Oh there is one thing you can do..." "What's that?" she asked "Tell Gina Hi for me." Eden smirked at his humor. "Tell Tim the same from your wife." He kissed her and headed out the door. ---As the elevator arrived at the ground floor of the Capwell building, Angela & Ted finished putting themselves back together. When they walk out of the elevator, Ted grabs her and tells her he's sick of playing games. He tells her he thinks she has feelings for him and all she has to do is say the word. Angela reminds him that while they have fun together, a committed relationship is not what either of them signed on for. She tells him that's she's done that in her life with David and it didn't work. Ted reminds her that that marriage didn't work because she wasn't in love with David. She throws in his face that it didn't work with Warren and she loved him too, which hurts him. Angela again reiterates that she likes Ted, she likes the fun they have and the sex is amazing, but it's just fun for her. Ted tells her he's officially cutting her off, which she laughs at. He claims to be very much serious, and that since he's marrying Lily the next day anyway, consider that their last rendezvous. Angela is disbelieving. When Ted angrily walks away from her, ending things for good, Angela, alone, shows her vulnerability in her face. She hurries off to the ladies room, to get composed. ---Julia shows up at the SB Chronicle and asks to see her nephew Warren. When he refers to her as "Auntie Julia", she scoffs, reminding him that they aren't so far apart in age. Julia asks him point blank if Augusta & Lionel have anything to do with the current crises at Capwell. Warren plays coy, saying that they live overseas in London and he doesn't know their day-to-day business lives. Julia doesn't let him evade the question so easily and wonders aloud if he may be involved. He admits while he'd love nothing more than to wipe the egotistical smiles off CC & Mason's faces, he's doing no such thing. Julia admits she's relieved, but Warren begins interrogating her on what is going on at Capwell, and she recounts the story of what's going on & the secrecy behind it. "Intriguing. Too bad the person is shrouded in so much secrecy. I'd put them on tomorrow's front page, if I could find them," he says After she leaves, Warren is on the phone to a contact, telling them to find out everything they can about the Capwell takeover. ---The board meeting commences, with CC, Ted, Gina, Angela, Eden, and Mason in attendance. CC says that the reports he's receiving are astounding, and within weeks, or even days, the whole thing could come to a head. Eden asks what, if anything, can be done to prevent it. Gina suggests just taking the company off the market altogether, which Mason laments would be disastrous for the company. They'd lose all kinds of revenues and credibility with their investors as well as other companies they do business with. CC suggests that Gina take it back down to the Day Care center and play with people on her level. Gina reminds him that she speaks for his son with her, Channing IV, which makes CC see red, yelling at her for having the audacity to question the love and loyalty he has for his son, after all the trickery she pulled off in the first place. When Gina starts going into detail about the Sperm Bank, Mason interrupts and suggests they get back to the issue at hand. Angela says that some time ago, she was working with a company in a similar situation and they brought in a financial specialist, who was able to crack the numbers, slowing down and eventually halting the takeover attempt. Angela tells them that time is of the essence and that the sooner they get someone, the better. CC retorts that with everything on his plate, meetings with CEOs, dealings with his associates and the general schedule he works, HE'S to be expected to go running to find some junior math genius to get us out of this mess? Gina chimes in, saying that she's got the time and is willing. CC scoffs at the offer, but Angela speaks up and says that she could work with Gina on finding the right person. Gina is insulted, claiming she doesn't need Angela's help and it's not a 2-person job. CC disagrees and immediately puts it to a vote, where they all vote against Gina. Angela will spear-head the search and Gina will assist. As the meeting adjourns, Gina warns Angela to stay out of her way, and Angela reminds her that Gina will be assisting her and not the other way around. Gina storms off. ---Angela, alone in the board room with Ted, asks him if he was impressed with her power in the meeting, if it turned him on. She locks the door, starts kissing his neck, and just as he's about to get passionate, Ted stops himself and tells her that he meant it- it's over between them. He's committed to Lily. Angela retorts that he wasn't so 'committed' a few hours ago, and Ted replies 'that was then.' He walks out of the room.... At the front of the Capwell building, Warren stops CC & Mason at the door and begins badgering them about the takeover attempt, asking for quotes. Mason gives a "no comment" and when Warren pressures him, Mason tells him that his "rag" and the "leigh person that runs it" aren't worth giving a nugget of information to. Warren then asks them why they think the person is being so secretive? "Maybe it's another long-lost illegitimate child CC. You have a few of those, no?" Warren jabs "You punk. I should expect such little class from a Lockridge. You get the hell out of my building!" CC angrily yells "Ahhh, but I'm not a Lockridge which...... oh I'm sure you remember CC, hell I could be a damn Capwell for all I know, since you won't submit a DNA sample" Warren shot back "Let me tell you something, son...." "Son? I like the ring of it....." "...For you to be a Capwell, I would have had to touch that mother of yours. Fortunately, unlike your father, I've had the good sense never to do that. Good day Lockrid.... oh , whoever the hell you are" ---At the station, Vic tells Cruz of the problems Tim is having in the investigation, saying that he's not trusted yet by these guys and the D.A.'s office is upping the pressure on them to crack the case open. Cruz goes over in his head who could help him, who he could use. Cruz flashes back to Angel Ramirez, whom he last saw when he was incarcerated. Cruz tells Vic that Angel would be perfect to send in undercover. He knew his family for years and decides to go talk to him. At the jail, Angel is resistent to helping Cruz in any way. He reminds him that he put him there years ago, and asks why the hell he should help him in anyway. Cruz says he hasn't let him make an offer yet. "Aight. What u offerin then Castillo?" "Your freedom." Angel smiles at the offer, and asks for something in writing. Cruz says he'll have Julia draw it up, and they can proceed with a judge. -----As music is playing, happy couples are shown together. Cruz & Eden, at home, in bed together. Julia & Mason, sitting in bed, talking. Ted & Lily, toasting with Keith & Gina. Ted leaving for the night. Cut to Angela, home, alone, with a glass of wine, humming "Here Comes The Bride" "Here's to you Angela Cassidy." She raises her glass and drinks. THE END.........for today
  2. Due to some surprise viewer interest & that I've got my creative juices going, I've decided to make 'RTSB' a daily blog. There may be some weeks where there are only 3 or 4 episodes, but I'm going to shoot for 5 every week & there DEFINITELY will be 5 posted this week. Again, I have some commitments today that I have to tend to, but I will have the 2nd episode up for everyone as soon as possible, most likely late afternoon/early evening. Thanks everyone for the comments, support, and overall interest in the show so far. I have plenty planned for the show, including many, many surprises, as well as the returns of many past favorite (and perhaps not-so-favorite) characters. Preview for Today's Episode: I'm continuing to be tight-lipped about my story details but I WILL say that Cruz & Eden make their debut TODAY!!!!!!
  3. Thanks you guys! One thing that I wanted to do is put Rosa in the first episode, since Margarita Cordova is the only SB star to have the distinction of being in both the first & last episode of the show. I wanted to continue that tradition.
  4. RETURN to SANTA BARBARA EPISODE 1 http://santabarbara-online.com/GeneriqueDebutUS.rm ---Ted wakes up in a fantastic mood, discussing over breakfast his impending marriage to Lily Blake. CC remarks that though it's a slight improvement from Laken Lockridge, it's still inviting Gina right back into the family. Ted shoots back that he wasn't the one who involved the Capwell family with Gina in the first place. As CC's anger intensifies, he warns his son that he better be damn sure that Lily Blake is who he thinks she is- after all, years ago, Lily once attempted to con Mason with her evangelical studies. Sophia chimes in that Lily is a much different person now, and that she should not be judged on things that have happened so long in the past. --After the two men go to work, Sophia helps Rosa clean up from breakfast. Rosa can see that something is troubling Sophia and asks her long-time friend and employer to confide in her. Sophia remarks that's she's just so proud of Ted and of all her children, and though he's very much an adult now, she still thinks of Ted as her baby, and while she's intensely happy for him, it also makes her think of her own age. "Our kids think they're invincible and assume we are as well. But the sad truth is, we're not." she says to Rosa, quietly. "No, Sophia, none of us are." The two reminisce some more about their children and their hopes and dreams for them, and their grandchildren. Rosa tells Sophia how she misses Santana, who's teaching in Mexico, and Danny, who she says is married and living in Las Vegas. Rosa quietly talks about Reuben, and how she wishes he were there to see his son married. In the middle of it, the phone rings and Rosa tells Sophia that it's for her. Sophia takes the call and Rosa can tell that her mood dropped as the person began talking. Sophia tells them that she'll be there right away and when Rosa asks her where she's going & what's wrong, she's vague and tells Rosa not to worry. ---At Capwell, Ted and CC are informed that the stock continues being bought, and the possibility of an outside takeover is becoming more real. CC demands to know who is buying up the stock, but is informed by Mason that whoever is doing it is covering their tracks- each chunk of stock has been bought in a different location with a different name being used, with one unseemingly connected to the next. CC calls an emergency board meeting to address the problem. When Ted balks, saying he has to meet with Lily to go over some last-minute arrangements for tomorrow, Mason tells them that the takeover is imminent and if something isn't done quickly, the family could lose Capwell for good. Since Gina and two of the senior members can't meet until the afternoon anyway, Ted quickly slips out. ---Ted rushes on the elevator, not noticing the woman reading the newspaper in back. "Going down?" Ted asks As the door begins to close, the woman lowers the newspaper, revealing herself to be Angela Cassidy. "Could be" she snarks Ted tells her that he warned her this day would come & tomorrow, he's marrying Lily for the rest of his life. He also reminds her that she could have stopped him, all she had to do was say the word. Angela, calling his bluff, reminds him that she knows he could never go through with it. When he asks how she knows that, she pulls the stop button on the elevator and they begin to kiss. Ted can no longer control himself and tears off Angela's clothes and has sex with her right there. --Across town, Gina fantasizes about a life of luxury, hobnobbing with the rich & powerful. She imagines sitting next to Donald Trump and firing CC from Capwell, telling him that she's in charge now. When she wakes up, she smells the morning air and throws on her robe and enters her living room, in her glory. Lily informs her that Keith has left for work and asks why she's so chipper. Gina says it's not every day that her daughter gets married. Lily reminds her mother that the wedding isn't until tomorrow. Gina sure hopes so, since she still hasn't picked up her dress. Gina gets serious, for a moment, and asks her daughter if she truly loves Ted. Lily says that he's her best friend. Gina tells her that's not what she means, and asks her if her heart skips a beat when Ted enters a room or if he makes her smile no matter how sad she is. "Could you ever live a day without Ted Capwell in your life?" Gina leaves for Capwell, and Lily thinks hard about this question, and flashes back to the first time she made love with Rafe. ---Meanwhile, in New Mexico, Rafe is seen reading a newspaper announcement of Ted & Lily's marriage. Without much of a thought, he gets puts on his jeans and leather jacket & Jumps on his bike. "You have a wedding to crash" he says, looking at himself in the mirror. ---Gina is surprised to find Keith in her office at Capwell. He informs her that he knows who has been buying up the stock in Capwell Enterprises. When Gina asks who it is, he tells her she cannot know. He's made a gentleman's deal with the person that if he keeps quiet, then he & Gina will be put in charge of the company once the takeover goes through. He tells her that CC is calling a board meeting in the afternoon and for things to go in their favor, she needs to follow his instructions to a T. "For the last time Keith, who the hell is this guy? Who does he think he's dealing with here? CC will have his people working overtime to figure out who he is and a way to stop him." "Who he is isn't important right now Gina. What we need to worry about is getting you in control of that company. Right now, you have a portion of what's rightfully yours. Don't you want it all?" Keith shot back. Naturally, she did, and agreed to follow his plan carefully. ---Mason met his two favorite girls for lunch, and was annoyed that Julia & Samantha were arguing when he arrived. When Mason inquired as to what was going on, Julia informed him that their daughter was refusing to attend her uncle's wedding. Mason took her side, saying she's an adult & if she doesn't want to go, she doesn't have to. When he reminded her that it was open bar, she said that perhaps she'd attend the reception, jokingly. Both took a little glee at jabbing at Julia, who was visibly annoyed. Julia then reminded Mason that it's an open juice bar for him, to which he retorted, "Oh, Julia, it's a party..... and Gina's going to be there!?!" "Gina?" she paused..... "They having the hard stuff, or just wine & champagne?" Samantha became uncomfortable when her parents started asking if she was going back to school in the winter, at which time she squirmed out of there, claiming she's supposed to go shopping with Adriana. Julia asks Mason how things are going at Capwell, and he informs her of the latest goings on. She finds it peculiar that the person or persons is going to such lengths to keep their identity secret. She says that it doesn't make sense, that if the company is going for a takeover bid, what's with all of the secrecy? "Does your family have any enemies?" Julia deadpans. (EXT. Shot of a Hospital, in San Remos) A mysterious figure, in a white doctor's jacket, is seen holding a newspaper, reading the announcement of Ted & Lily's wedding, staring at the pictures. "Doctor- you're needed in the ER. Accident victims, just flown in by helicopeter. Looks bad." The figure opens up a filing cabinet and places the newspaper in a file, but something drops out. They pick it up, and it's a picture of Mason. A tear is shown dropping onto the picture and it's placed back in the file, and the doctor rushes out. Zoom in on the file, titled: MASON. The End....... for today

  7. I've decided to hold off a bit with the Steve Hall character, meaning Jared Leto is no longer in the cast. 30 Seconds to Mars (Leto's band) being on tour right now, caused problems with scheduling that actually better accomodate the story. So, for the moment, he will not be seen. I do, however, have story planned for his character and you will unquestionably be seeing him in the future. I've written the part out before, but to execute the story properly, I have to get certain characters in places in their lives that they're not at yet. It's all a matter of timing and the stories I have in place are going to take up much of the time, which would have taken away from the impact Steve will have on the canvas.
  8. For those who have never watched 'SB' I decided to do brief character profiles to help you figure out who's who. CC Capwell: (Joe) patriarch of the Capwell family- father of Mason, Channing Jr (RIP), Eden, Kelly, Ted, Greg (not on the canvas); adoptive father of Brandon, married to Sophia, was married to Pamela before & had Mason with her, also has been married to Gina 3 times; ruthless businessman, his family comes first; has a past with Elizabeth, Sophia's sister Sophia Capwell: (Flo/Mary)Matriarch of the Capwell family; had an affair years back with Lionel Lockridge- still harboring a friendship; shot Channing; loyal woman and scrupulous now, though she's constantly reminded of her dubious past as a Hollywood actress Mason Capwell: (DAD) married to Julia; has one child with her, Samantha; has an ongoing problem with alcohol; adversarial relationship with his father, CC; first love, Mary Duvall, killed years ago while pregnant by a giant "C" on the Capwell Hotel; lawyer; involved in the family business; has had many affairs with Gina Blake Julia Wainright Capwell: (Aunt)intelligent attorney, married to Mason; Augusta's sister & Warren's aunt; close friend of sister-in-law Eden; shoots from the hip and not afraid of anyone or anything Eden Capwell Castillo: (MOM)spunky, risk-taker; doesn't let anyone tell her what to do; has had multiple personalities in the past; had a terrible marriage to Kirk Cranston, who eventually terrorized her; killed Robert Barr when she mistook him for Quinn Armitage, his twin; has a rocky relationship with Sophia but is the apple of CC's eye; has a daughter, Adriana, with Cruz Cruz Castillo: (Dipshit)Police officer, long-married to Eden; was married previously to Santana Andrade, Rosa's daughter; blue-blooded good guy hero; also has a son, Chip, from a previous transgression with Victoria Lane; adversarial relationship with Keith Timmons, who believes Cruz (and Victoria) caused his sister's suicide Gina Blake: (Mary/Flo) gold digging witch who has married CC time & again to get a hold of his money; would do anything for her adopted son Brandon and daughter Lily; long been in love with Keith Timmons, though they are no longer married; severely hates Sophia, and pretty much the rest of the Capwells, sans Mason (and to an extent, Ted) Keith Timmons: (Senior Z) Shady district attorney; hates Cruz & the Capwells; met his match in Gina, though they are more in love with $$$ than each other; slimy & will cut any corner & do anything to make things go his way Pamela Capwell Conrad: (Mary/Flo)( 1st wife of CC Capwell; was institutionalized after their first marriage for reasons that have yet to be explained; has a strained relationship with son Mason; still harbors feelings for CC, even after what he's put her through; helped poison Kelly when she was married to her son Jeffrey Dr Edmund Lavery (my secret)a follower of Eastern medicine, a healer of sorts; helped Pamela when she was institutionalized; has 1 son, Ashton, from his marriage to Lorraine (RIP); hates CC for what he did to Pamela, though it seems there may be more to it That's all for now- I'll do the other 10 characters a little later today or tomorrow. Hope this helps! Any questions about any of the characters? Feel free to post those questions here!!!!!
  9. With the cast I want in play and some final story kinks worked out, I'm pleased to announce that RETURN TO SANTA BARBARA will be premiering on Monday, November 6th, 2006. What you can expect: -Originally I was going to do weekly summaries rather than daily episodes. I have since decided to sort of merge those ideas together a bit and do Monday, Wednesday, Friday episodes, though much story will be covered each day. I may eventually expand to daily episodes, but for right now, I'm going with this schedule & see how it works. If the format needs tinkering, I'll address that as I go along. Any feedback will of course be appreciated, especially in the early weeks. As far as what is planned for the show and for the first week, I'm keeping all of my stories hush hush. The first week, however, will be about re-establishing the old characters & establishing the new ones. I will say that much of the action of the week involves the anticipation of and preparation for the wedding of Ted Capwell to Lily Blake. The marriage has implications for many of the characters in the cast and their points of view on the union will be used to re-establish the relationships this canvas of people have with one another. A major character, who has thusfar not been announced, will return to the canvas. Sorry, no hints. Pamela will be seen, but she won't be in Santa Barbara.......... yet. My goal is for the first week to be a treat to the fans who miss the original SB so much and help readers who are unexposed to SB relate to these characters and understand their histories with one another. I think the wedding will be lots of fun, as I'm having a ball writing it. Hopefully, those who decide to check it out will think so as well.
  10. OUT: IN: In a last-minute change of plans, RTSB has elected to bring previous Gina Robin Mattson back to the role, and Leann Hunley has been let go. Though we were pleased with what Leann was doing with the part, we ultimately decided that Robin is Gina and that the recast would do more harm than good to the character. We'll be keeping an open mind about having Leann on the show in the future, but at this time, Robin Mattson is our Gina. Since shooting is just about to begin on the soap, nothing has had to be re-shot. Also joining the cast: as Steve Hall. Steve is a bit of a drifter who will be floating into the lives of Adriana Castillo and Samantha Capwell. Steve is in his 20s and has gone through life very much the hard way, bouncing from foster homes and harboring an off & on drug habit. Jessica Dunphy will be stepping into the role of Adriana Castillo. We at RTSB think that Dunphy has that sparkle in her eye, that devilish quality that Marcy Walker's Eden always had. Adriana is very much her mother's daughter, and we'll find out soon enough that Chip Castillo is very much his father's son. Will we be seeing Chip anytime? Not in the beginning, but it's not out of the question. It's explained early on that Chip is living with his mother (Victoria) at the moment. Warren Lockridge has also been cast. Warren is a character who's importance will increase with time. There are some loose ends with that character that need tying up, such as who his father is. In has last stint on the show, Augusta revealed to Warren that Lionel is not his father. Hints were dropped that CC Capwell was his real father, but the paternity remained a secret. We'll be re-opening that can of worms once Louise Sorel & Nicholas Coster return full-time. Right now, they'll be with us in a guest capacity, popping in & out at times. Augusta & Lionel have re-located to London, and have done quite well for themselves. They've started a company, called Lockwright Hotels, which has taken off overseas. Will it's success in London eventually bring the company to the US? Never say never. Warren will not, however, be involved with BJ Walker. This is very much intentional. According to exec producer/head writer juniorz, the only 'Walker' you'll be seeing on our show is Marcy........ Finally, as promised, a sister has been cast for Sophia. The role of Elizabeth Armonti will be played by: Unfortunately, that's the only picture I can find of Christine Tudor Newman (ex-Gwyneth, Loving) and it's quite dated. We're very excited to have Christine on board in this capacity. She's going to be a busy lady, as we have lots planned for her. I'm thrilled with the people we have in place for this entire storyline, as it's going to be front and center. And one final character has been added: Joann Walsh, a businesswoman brought in to work in at Capwell by CC. The role will be played by: We are delighted to have Kim in the cast. Though Joann will be weaved in to the fabric of the show, she won't be in the thick of things........ yet. She promises to have a lot of angles that will be exposed and Kim is perfect for this part. So this will be the cast for the launch of RETURN TO SANTA BARBARA CONTRACT CAST: Warren Lockridge...........Grant Aleksander CC Capwell....................Jed Allan Angela Cassidy..............Nina Arveson Ted Capwell..................Michael Brainard Rafe Castillo.................Matt Cedeno Mason Capwell..............Lane Davies Pamela Conrad.............Carmen Duncan Adriana Castillo.............Jessica Dunphy Julia Capwell................Nancy Lee Grahn Lily Blake.....................Paula Irvine Dr. Edmund Lavery.......Charles Keating Steve Hall....................Jared Leto Samantha Capwell........Heather Lindell Cruz Castillo................A Martinez Gina Blake...................Robin Mattson Sophia Capwell............Judith McConnell Elizabeth Armonti.........Christine Tudor Newman Joann Walsh................Kim Rhodes Eden Castillo...............Marcy Walker Keith Timmons............Tuc Watkins RECURRING CAST Margarita Cordova as Rosa Andrade Nicholas Coster as Lionel Lockridge Russell Curry as Det. Vic Boswell Louise Sorel as Augusta Lockridge Robert Thaler as Pearl Bradford

    More Fan Favs RETURN!

What is THIS? Some Hayes love from Mike? Bout time you came around! OT: anyone else having fun trying to make their posts fit in the comment box? I think I finally got the hang of it now.
  12. I am pleased to announce that RTSB has cast the pivotal role of Pamela Capwell Conrad: The role previously played by Shirley Anne Field & Marj Dusay will now be played by Carmen Duncan. I am thrilled to have someone of Carmen's talents to be acting out this part. Pamela is going to be like we've never seen her before. There's a history with CC, Sophia, Mason, Lionel, and Augusta that is just begging to be played out. Some other tidbits: Charles Keating (ex-Carl, AW) has joined the cast in the role of Dr. Edmund Lavery. He will be heavily involved in the story I have planned for Pamela, CC, and Sophia. Some other additions: Rafe Castillo will be played by....... (for those who are unaware, Matt Cedeno (ex-Brandon, DAYS) is pictured ) Also, Paula Irvine will be returning as Lily Blake, daughter of Gina. The focus of the first week of the show will be Ted & Lily's impending nuptuals. It's a "Will They or Won't They" situation, since the marriage is based on friendship more than anything. Plus, Ted still has an attraction for Angela, and Lily's true love is Rafe, whom she left due to a previous transgression Rafe had with Lisa Fenmore that left her pregnant. But when Rafe returns to Santa Barbara (nice pun, right?), will Lisa be with him? No word on whether Bridgette Wilson Sampras will be reprising the role. Other casting news: Samantha Capwell, daughter of Julia & Mason, has been cast with Heather Lindell (ex-Jan, DAYS) stepping into the role of the grown up Samantha. That's all the news for now, but there will be more to come VERY soon. There are still a few more roles to be filled (Adriana Castillo, Warren Lockridge, Elizabeth Armonti (Sophia's sister) and a few newcomers)
  13. In a word, yes. It helps to know the history of the show, and I'm planning to type up some brief character histories when I have the cast I want in place.
  14. Sometime in late October/early November, I'll be launching my own updated version of SANTA BARBARA called RETURN TO SANTA BARBARA So far, there is no word on a final cast but the following have been confirmed: A Martinez as Cruz Castillo Marcy Walker as Eden Capwell Castillo Also confirmed in the cast so far: Jed Allan as CC Capwell Judith McConnell as Sophia Capwell Lane Davies as Mason Capwell Nancy Lee Grahn as Julia Wainright Capwell Margarita Cordova as Rosa Andrade Leann Hunley as Gina Blake Tuc Watkins as Keith Timmons Nina Arveson as Angela Cassidy Michael Brainard as Ted Capwell Some sneak peaks: --Expect a couple of major returns from the dead early on. Both of these people will have a huge effect on Mason & will greatly impact Mason & Julia's storyline. --Don't forget it's 2006 now...... so expect to see more grown up versions of Brandon, Chip, Adriana, and Samantha somewhere in the near future. Samantha will probably be cast very early on, as I have big plans for the character. Look for her to become involved with Rafe Castillo, much to the dismay of her father. --Kelly will not be featured in early episodes but don't think she's been forgotten. The plan is to eventually to have all the core Capwells in the cast together. --Pamela Capwell Conrad is going to be a part of the fabric of the show from the beginning. However, since the role promises to be a pivotal one, there is an open casting call being held for the part. Previous Pamela Shirley Anne Field tested, but Marj Dusay was not to be found. Other candidates for the part: Carmen Duncan, Victoria Wyndham, Christine Tudor Newman, Susan Seaforth Hayes, Deborah Adair, and Robin Strasser. --- Keith & Gina have been re-cast and are going to be taken in a slightly different direction. We're going back to Gina as an outright b.itch, as she should be. --- Rumors are swirling that Sophia could be gone shortly after the kick-off of the new series. ---- Though none have been announced, there WILL be Lockridges on the show. We are in very serious talks with Nicholas Coster & Louise Sorel about returning for the Capwell storyline arc. But they probably won't come in to play for the early episodes. I LOVE Lionel & Augusta & think it's important to time their return carefully.
