1. I know she leans right, but Ana Navarro is giving me life a lot lately.
2. WaPo: Jeff Sessions spoke with Russian Envoy twice last year, which he failed to disclose during his nomination. As the GOP was so fond of shouting, LOCK THEM UP! And this just seals that an independent counsel is needed for the investigation into Trump and Russia. ETA: And I saw that, @Vee! Extra coverage works well here. :-)
3. Alec Baldwin to release satirical Trump book this November. Cool!
4. Awesome. :-)
5. Eh, there's falling for bait, and there's communicating with Trump at his (basest) level. Which is what I think Perez did.
6. And...nothing will come of it. This administration - inexplicably - seems to be made of Teflon. It keeps doing reprehensible things, trying to pass discriminatory legislature, and surrogates blah-blah about Trump family businesses and to buy their merchandise, pointing to conflict of interest galore. And <crickets> As long as the GOP has all the power, Trump will skate like Nancy Kerrigan, and it sickens me. As does the limiting of the press - which will also come to nothing. Sorry to sound so cynical and defeated, but this isn't the early 1970s anymore. It's "party before country" now...
7. Yes, yes. Don't you all know that unless all media is kissing the Orange Fuhrer's behind that everything is FAKE? No one is allowed a difference of opinion - or is allowed to report contrary to the above! SMH. Just because Trump's little ego booster had folks there, it still likely comprises the 25% or so that had the gall to vote for him, the other 25% feel differently. And those are the voters. Consider the other HALF of the voting population voted for neither, and Trump is but a legend in his own pea-brained mind.
8. Hi, James Woods! Remember Watergate? SHUT UP.
9. Betsy DeVos asked Twitter a question. It did not go well.
10. Bye!
11. Sigh. I rule nothing out. I'm not confident that Trump is in poor health. So many - me included - first thought Trump wouldn't last through the primaries, then never thought Trump would actually WIN. So I can sadly see this tool lasting through 2020 and running again, assuming we're still a democracy by 2020. I can only pray that the majority of voters are smarter about Trump by then and deny him next time.
12. OMG, YES! How I wish I could hear the manbaby cry right now.
13. Almost every media outlet gave Trump a tongue bath, though. Not saying I disagree with what you're saying in theory, but freezing out the media in a supposed democracy because the president is an overgrown baby with a superiority complex is an alarming move. (Still prays for the day Trump does something so heinous that impeachment is the only recourse.)
14. Ever since "polls" had Clinton winning, I look upon them with a cynical eye. I'm sure there is support, but I'm betting things are about even.
15. I think Hillary hate comes down to sexism as a lot of the hatred of Obama came down to racism. I mean, for all of the good Hillary did as SoS and First Lady, I think the "Old Guard" was appalled that Hillary Clinton dared to upset the apple cart vision of the quiet little wifey who wears pearls and smiles like a Stepford Robot next to hubby. And, for whatever reason, her mistakes as SoS gave these folks the excuse of "evil" Hillary. Then, naturally, comes the "why didn't she leave Bill?!" schtick. The only thing is, and this is not meant as a defense of Bill Clinton, but...this couple was not the first to go through the infidelity follies found in the White House. JFK and Jackie's "Camelot" image was obviously a sham. JFK was a hound. (I do think those two - in a warped maybe unhealthy way, did have a sort of love/respect for each other, though.) Even freaking FDR was rumored to have stepped out on Eleanor. Yet these two couples are still, by and large, revered, even knowing the truth now. Bill and Hillary? Not so much. So I think that part of the anti-Hillary bias was just an excuse. And Hillary was hated because she is a strong woman. And many can talk the talk of wanting that. But put words into action, and it's a different story. The saying goes, "Haters gonna hate!" But it does become problematic when that hate blinds people to the other monster in the room. But that one spouted all sorts of xenophobic jabs and made empty promises. And now...he's being sworn in on Friday, much to my eternal embarrassment. And so it goes.
16. And if they do, vote EVERY ONE of those bastards out. The wall is ridiculous, but hey, some want it. Fine. Let Trump's minions pay for it, not on the backs of the rest of America, which is what will happen.
17. Maybe we'll get lucky and a runaway asteroid will blow us into oblivion before January.
18. And right now, that looks about as likely as a snowman surviving in hell.
19. [!@#$%^&*], indeed. This is terrifying. Kiss women's rights goodbye. Kiss the economy goodbye.
20. At this point, it may be moot.
21. Well, WI seems also to be headed for Trump as of now. If she loses that and MI, forget it. She'd need FL on top of VA, and I don't see it happening.
22. The f-u-c-k-e-r is going to take this.
23. Read elsewhere Virginia is turning red? Good God, just kill me.
24. OMG, and the Ghouliani intro was GOLD.
25. Can we just skip to November 9th, please? I can't take anymore. Sigh.
