These town hall folks ain't playing! But they need to put it to the best use - at the midterm elections in the voting booths.

The Senate must get an independent counsel to investigate Russia going any further or this country is officially f-u-c-k-e-d. I can totally see Trump losing his s-h-i-t and trying to implement Martial Law.

How I wish this were so, but this administration is oily and manages to slip out of almost every skirmish thus far.

Proof that the WH staffers are as dumb as Trump himself. How could they NOT foresee the explosion?

Cascadia (i.e. mainly blue states that secede from the US to form their own nation) looks like a wonderful idea to me right about now!

Only way that is ever happening is if Dems regain seats. If the GOP remains in power, they'll cover. This isn't the GOP of 1972.

Oh, there's been a few Twitter posts from Trump supporters that make me think they're not up on government processes. One had a GIF of a tombstone with Obamacare's "death" dated today. Naturally, as a concerned citizen I had to inform them that was premature and it still needs to pass the Senate. Hee.

Yeah, I'll believe that when I see the Impeachment Hearings on TV.

Watching the Mason/Augusta exchange enrages me all over again. The whole "Augusta doubts Julia" angle was vile, and I respect Louise Sorel for walking.

I had forgotten that Joe Mascolo was on SB. That is him in the clip with RW's Kelly, isn't it? If it's not, he had a twin.

At least Dixie/Cady McClain still had normal hair in that clip even if she was a mess. Some of her hair choices down the line were quite questionable, including the horrid Dutch boy cut, and IMO, the pixie cut she had at one point did her no favors, either.

The Dobsons totally screwed the pooch in Round 2 of their tenure. They would not have needed a faux Kelly replacement if they hadn't fired Carrington Garland, who was popular and had chemistry with the cast. Eileen Davidson is a good actress, but she was woefully miscast as Kelly. (And a small petty part of me was glad to see her version fail since she made a bunch of derogatory comments in SOW about Kelly being stupid before she took on the role or whatever.) I get Eden was gone, but I think - had Carrington not been fired - she could have filled the void on her own. JMO here.

Katrina. So damned pointless.

Oh! Not that it matters, but I recalled why Tori was going to jump: She had just discovered she was knocked up by Cruz (when Tori sexed him up - while he had a head injury and thought she was Eden - at the time, she was still hung up on Cruz, her ex,. [I call that rape]).

Probably me. But I recall the Dobsons talking up their plans in either SOD or the defunct SOW (which never really came to pass in Round 2 which seemed for the best as time seemed to stop for them with regard to the characters after 1987, when they got locked out by NBC) and they mentioned Mason/Katrina and the whole Mary business while remarking that Mason/Julia were "star crossed" or whatever. I think they left/were fired again not long after that interview, IIRC. Considering Mason met Tori on the rooftop of the Capwell Hotel (I believe Tori was contemplating jumping, although I can't recall why), the same spot Mary met her demise, I think you can guess the answer there!

If I remember right, Julia was actually supposed to be the spoiler for Mason/Tori. The Baby Contract would have been the stumbling block as Mason bonded with and fell for Tori. The story goes, Mason/Julia gained traction, the audience liked them, so Tori became the spoiler instead.

CBS just cut in. I was in another room, but I think it said under orders from a**hole, missiles HAVE BEEN fired?!

If only this laughingstock of an administration would self destruct! Yet, for all of the failures, all the dirtbags - including Head Cheeto - are like Teflon and continue to trash the nation for another day.

This is nice that the Dems are fighting Gorsuch, but it all feels like a waste since the Rethuglicans will just go nuclear. But their whining about Dems obstructing the process is RICH. At Lindsey Graham's town hall, another with a BUNCH of pissed-off constituents, they kept yelling Merrick Garland at him, as he stood there and complained that Trump should be allowed to pick the candidate he wanted.

Or, more pessimistically (thanks to Comey's past actions), just dragging its feet for whatever reason. I basically trust no one until some results start happening.

I get the mistrust of the media since it was that that helped give us this a*****e in office to begin with. But using Twitter as any sort of sampling pool for political discourse seems useless, to me. Sure, it's cool to feel more unified in Trump scorn, but anything beyond that just seems fruitless.
