  1. Hypocrites, thy name is the Republican Party.
  2. Yup!
  3. Of course. But this isn't new. It's been the case since Trump took office. And the Dems are still managing to get seats. Enough to turn the tide? Maybe not. But it's February. There may be more BS (forget may, will), so time will tell if we can tie Trump's hands.
  4. But that's the best part! This was a REAL nothingburger that backfired spectacularly in his fat orange face. And now Intel HATES him.
  5. True. But last night's speech and being chosen to give it, makes me think this was testing the waters. Time will tell!
  6. I keep reading this. And I have nothing against it. All are better than Trump. But do Harris or Booker even want it? Biden seems the only better-than-maybe option right now in that case. On another note: Sayonara, Trey Gowdy! Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.
  7. So, Joe Kennedy III. What say you? I thought he was stiff starting out. But once he got warmed up, he seemed passionate. Inclusive! (Lots of "we" and "our" versus "I" and "me"...) I can't say as I was born 4 years after his assassination, but I've seen some say he sounded a lot like his grandfather, RFK. But is he the hope for 2020? Not sure. Still, Dems can do much worse. See the current occupant of the White House.
  8. Scary s-h-i-t time: Trump wants Sessions to ARREST Mueller and his team. Not a joke. And from NBC News, so a reputable source (via Twitter).
  9. Like Trump never tried to fire Mueller. And, well, we know how that turned out. Right?
  10. The quad I'll grant you. And, I know this is unpopular as hell here, but Kristen's transformation, while believable due to Marlena and Kristen's insecurity, went way too far into later crazy rapist land. And the whole Susan/billion other characters dreck was awful. So I hated the thing with the teeth and Susan herself. It was that era - along with the admitted ratings juggernaut of Marlena's possession, IMO, that started Days' long spiral into campy laughingstock. And it has never fully recovered since. JER was great at gimmicks and shock. Actual soap with heart, not so much.
  11. Sen. Tammy Duckworth is pregnant with her second child. She is due in April, apparently will be 50 when she gives birth, and will be the first senator who gives birth while in office. Congrats to her!
  12. And, it's another Republican "Family Values" Rep! Because, of course it is. (I know, this crap is bipartisan. Hi, Anthony Weiner, you slime! But the GOP are the ones who ALWAYS get holier than thou AFAIC, so the fact that stuff like this keeps emerging just makes them all look like the master hypocrites they are.)
  13. Jensen Buchanan is in legal trouble again. Clearly, she needs rehab or to stay in jail - where she is now: http://santamariatimes.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/soap-star-jensen-buchanan-back-in-jail-after-allegedly-violating/article_55a49334-ee7e-5d79-bd4b-357c43563a51.html
  14. I hated that redesign. Just a bunch of...white.
  15. Dems just tried to bring a bill to the floor to keep payments to the military going through the shutdown, and Turtle said no. The GOP owns all of this.
  16. Awww. Big. Fat. Bummer.
  17. I would think that would be enough to sustain a feud, especially since Sophia and Lionel also had a child from that affair!
  18. Oh, barf.
  19. Excuse the potty mouth, but I think "f-u-c-k-i-n-g dangerous embarrassment" sums it up nicely.
  20. Alas, it's freaking Kentucky. They'd vote for a dust ball if it had (R) next to it. See the despicable Mitch "Turtle" McConnell and Rand Paul as proof.
  21. All I recall is Roberta Bizeau left rather suddenly, so maybe they wanted to finish her story.
  22. Oh, right! Almost forgot the hideous 2-second recast after Bizeau left.
  23. Flame Beaufort seemed like she'd be up for it. But Michael (whom she was involved with), not so much. Can't think of a male character that would have matched her.
  24. Please. Not another "celebrity". As a person, I like Oprah. She really is an American success story, overcoming abuse and, let's face it, racial barriers to be one of the most influential women today. But after this nightmare, we need someone with experience to clean up the mess. And, much loathed as I am to say this, I think Oprah could give us four more years of this because if a white woman being president scares the establishment - and the sexists and racists - no way would a black woman get there without a fight. And I think we could have another 2016, where people vote for the imbecile not because they like him, but because they hate the other candidate more. No, thanks. For the love of God, there must be a qualified experienced politician out there for the Democrats. Everyone cites his age, but if we can have old Orange Foolius and Reagan, I'd love it if Biden did run.
  25. Happy New Year! You can tell it's an election year and 2018 has begun: I just saw a commercial with some politician endorsing a "Need To Impeach" petition.
