  1. It's nice to have a face to put to the role. Thanks @slick jones
  2. I'm going to split hairs. I understand why Kimberly Simms feels that way. She didn't play the first miscarriage, Kurt's death or the beginning of the affair with Will. I don't think they would've wrote the Roger/Mindy affair if Krista was in the role. (maybe that's naive of me, but I don't.) I don't think the audience would've ever bought her screwing Billy's worst enemy. As for the torrid vs icky---that's in the eye of the beholder. Roger is old enough to be her father. And I don't think that affair shows a "romantic" side of Roger. He's cheating on his wife with someone his daughter's age, all while having the hots for Holly. It was simply Roger being Roger--using a woman after having used another woman. The only positive thing I can say was that Roger refrained from taunting Billy with the news.
  3. I really liked the Mindy/Reva dynamic. Mindy was the only Lewis who didn't simply kiss Reva's ass 24/7.
  4. I don't think VI znd KT would. Krista was always so light hearted and fun, where VI was always intense and moody. They could've had Mindy swing back around to Frank, and drop the pretense of the faux Eleni and Frank's nonexistent marriage. At least for awhile. And part if the reason I cringe about Roger and Mindy's affair is the fact it would just be gross seeing Krista and Zaz. Ick.
  5. I don't find that clear at all. Martin had just been hospitalized himself, and while he tried to claim he was "released", Smitty told them that the doctor wanted to keep Martin in overnight. Kat thought of Andre as a potential match and called him (not knowing whatever medication would keep him from the testing). She didn't blink twice when Ted got tested. Those aren't the actions of someone who's wishing Eva ill. It's one thing to snipe at a person you aren't willing to accept as family because of biology. It's another to actively wish them dead. Even after you've wished they'd never been born.
  6. That's an example of holding Kat accountable? For what? Being traumatized after seeing someone nearly die before help came? He didn't give her five seconds before calling her selfish. Kat hasn't made this all about herself (unlike Leslie) and she's not willing to blindly jump into a situation uninformed (or play martyr, for that matter). If he had seen her moment with Leslie, he would've shut his mouth. No one is obligated to undergo testing, even for family.
  7. I get what you're saying about times Phillip was toxic (in all of his relationships) , but Phillip was right, Beth was alive. They could've been a hipper version of ATWT's Bob and Kim. lol. Mindy would've spiced things up for Rick and Rick would keep her grounded. To have Rick and Mindy date other people before finally realizing they were right for each other would've been fine. But they never seemed to get all the way to the "realizing they are right for each other" part.
  8. Martin certainly is a hotheaded, jump to conclusions dick, isn't he? Even Smitty is making the "we should talk about this before you go offering up a liver" face. But Kat doesn't jump to make a decision on his timetable, and all he can think is she's a selfish bitch. Sorry, not sorry, TeamKat on this one. A serious decision like that deserves more than five seconds of thought. Kat is the one who was with Eva, Kat reached out to Leslie. Sometimes Martin's "selfless" decisions look performative rather than sincere. Does this mean Martin's dramatic fainting is a lame nothingburger to force a choice on Kat? And there is something passive-aggressive about his use of "miracle baby" every time he's angry with his sister.
  9. CarJacker, celebrating Sage's birthday! She'd be legitimately 23 yrs old. In soap years, She'd be on her third marriage by now! LOL!
  10. Oddly, I was actually excited to get to today's episode. Then I watched it. Add Leslie/Dana to the list of who should stop trying to convince me they have real, deep, emotions over their child.
  11. I don't know of anything she did. I know she eventually went back to college and focused on her writing. Her kids would've been about the right age to be going off to college themselves about this time.
  12. I wish SoapClassics had put together an Alan collection. I wonder if they would have, had they had the time and opportunity.
  13. I do too. Maybe someday, more will turn up. @alwaysAMC just a clarifying question, did Vanessa get consulted when **** decided to run off and play GI Joe?
  14. It's the anniversary of Chris Bernau's passing.
  15. We disagree about MOL and KT's chem...but there's also a world of difference between the costars each was handed. While KS got experienced soap actors in VI, MD and Zaslow, Krista got stuck with the equivalent of blocks of wood in TA, DC and Mark Lewis. It would be interesting to see what Anderson's plans were , long term. I would think Will was always slated to be bad. @alwaysAMC lol...I know my opinions don't always line up with the more popular takes. While I didn't mind Abby, I'm not sure the character would've been handed a storyline outside of being Reva's talk to if she'd come on as anyone else's friend. To be blunt, at times it seemed like Abby was GL's attempt at a social issue story.
