  1. I haven’t been posting as much lately so it’s all good! They are sorta settling into their late-stage OG RHONY era in which they’re solely coasting on personality, charisma, and hijinks.
  2. What am I, chopped liver? 😂 I will say it’s probably the least entertaining trailer they’ve had.
  3. They don’t even try to make these conversations interesting.
  4. Very few characters would meet the threshold of Mac Cory or Victoria Lord. I don’t think RC’s Skye fits the brief (saying this as someone who couldn’t stand her), although I think her stans quieted down quite a bit over her GH run. I feel like this board is one of the few where I didn’t see as much clamoring. Her fans were unhinged in some cases. Aside from Devon (agree to disagree on BJ), I think HT’s Katie fits. I was just thinking that, 50 years in the future, someone stumbling upon whatever records we have of the Daytime Emmys would think HT’s Katie Logan was this major popular character on B&B, and she’s barely a blip on the show, even when they used her more back in the day.
  5. Maybe all 10 of her fans had multiple accounts on MediaDomain because I remember folks getting the vapors every time with every breath RC made, especially in her OLTL days. Her stans were out of control, and she was catnip for Brenda haters among GH viewers. I know we disagree on Devon (I love Bryton and think he’s enormously gifted and richly deserving of his two Emmys), but I don’t think he has a fan base on his own, aside from the temporary magic he had Mishael’s Hilary. I don’t think it’s BJ’s fault. The writing for him has been uniquely terrible (either absolutely boring or ridiculous) even during a sorry era for soaps. A lot of black characters have been poorly served by this genre, of course. Look at how Nate is being received, and it’s no wonder.
  6. The Association’s songs give me the warm fuzzies, as I spent so much of my childhood listening to the oldies station in St. Louis and hearing “Along Comes Mary,” “Cherish,” and “Windy.”
  7. ATP muddied the waters by making the matches count as “official” (although without ranking points I believe). I don’t think any other exho is given such legitimacy, but we know why that is. Just all very messy and not well thought out, but such is tennis I suppose.
  8. No one has ever won posthumously, at least among the actors. The only posthumous nomination I remember is Rosalind Cash (Mary Mae, GH) off the top of my mind. Most of these people passed long after they left daytime. Just odd to see some of those names like Anne Heche, KSJ, and Billy Miller. Benjamin Hendrickson still breaks my heart almost 20 years later.
  9. Melissa Claire Egan’s tribute: From Bryton James:
  10. I wonder how Maurice Benard is taking it.
  11. He looks like the forgotten Jonas brother. I don’t think he looks bad though.
  12. Having trouble with Twitter embeds (can’t bring myself to use the other name), but @l3neee91 posted this goodbye video that Y&R cast and crew made for BM when he left: qMY27C9WwAbvj1E4.mp4 JPAfS1d7QmWrrj9z.mp4
  13. In addition to sad news of Billy Miller’s passing, some tragic news for fans of ‘90s R&B: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/music-news/irish-grinstead-dead-girl-group-702-singer-dies-1235592302/amp/
  14. Wow. Really unbelievable. Michael Fairman’s article appears to be down. I’m sure he’s being overloaded with traffic.
