  1. And yet daytime doubled, tripled, quadrupled down on the charisma-free Brian Gaskill.
  2. Heavenly stays calling people fat while not exactly being a size zero herself.
  3. They really all do look amazing. Every last one of them.
  4. There was speculation last year that the combined ViacomCBS were looking to snatch up Sony’s film or TV properties to increase their content scope. Probably a non-starter now.
  5. Yep, and if they were smart they could have used these episodes as promotional tools to push people to watch the continuation of the stories online. A lot of the complaints I see on the Y&R Facebook page is that people can’t continue to follow the stories they get sucked into during all of these one-off classic episodes. If they had the next episodes up and ready online, they could capture that audience on a new platform. “Want to see what happens next? Watch on CBS All Access...” Or something.
  6. Andy Lack is dunzo at NBC: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/mark-lazarus-oversee-entertainment-nbcuniversal-executive-shakeup-1293148
  7. K.T. Stevens would have freaked me the [!@#$%^&*] out as a child.
  8. Yep! Watching now. The colors are rich and beautiful. But for people who still had B&W TVs at this time (I was one of them well in the ‘80s), this must have looked like an elegant classic movie.
  9. Yep. Meanwhile they are just lavishing time on the MAB-era episodes.
  10. She’s wonderful. And the writing is sensational. I watched just to recall Ellen’s great Emmy speech (“I’m dead! I’m dead!”), but I wound up watching the reel to the end. There’s not a false moment. Even the scene with her dropping the cups, which could have looked silly, is perfect.

  13. Certainly not an unpopular opinion on these boards. He was never that well-liked here, if I recall correctly. (I thought he had his moments, but I found his acting to be overbearing and tic-ridden, like budget Brando/Pacino.) I did think he had charisma and some sex appeal. It’s just too bad that he was playing a violent sociopath that GL was selling as a broken romantic hero.
  14. I love how hard Kandi goes against Nene. She’s owed Ms. Leakes a butt-whuppin’ for more than a decade at this point. LOL at Cynthia’s “I don’t see Nene anymore.” Someone said this looks a bit like a parody, which is true, but hey that kinda works.
  15. I find Jackie Cox very attractive out of drag. Geeky, thin Persian guy in glasses? I’m here for it. THRILLED to see Alyssa Edwards on the celeb show tonight. She’ll always be my favorite. Holy f*ck, Tami Roman! AND VANESSA WILLIAMS!!!
  16. From Busan, South Korea 🇰🇷
  17. Yeah, I got the sense that that was coming. Same. Didn’t want to come across like a MAB apologist in my previous post. But I really do feel like she gutted the show. After LML, who just didn’t appreciate what was good about Y&R at all and didn’t understand or even like the characters outside of a precious few, MAB initially seemed like a breath of fresh air. But her show was so dark and nihilistic in an incompetent and insulting attempt to reference old-school gothic Y&R. It was like watching a desecration.
  18. Slightly OT but Camryn Grimes and Sharon Case are doing an IG Live as we speak.
  19. This is gonna be EPIC.
  20. From Pittsburgh 🇺🇸
