  1. RIP - his stint on B&B was truly memorable because the plot was first and foremost hilarious. Quinn's line that "Mateo, uh, you are a godsend!" plus the Brenda Dickson style pronounciation of "mahsahhhhhhhge" are a classic. Stuck between Sheila and Quinn - Mateo was a fun character.
  2. I caught up with a couple of episodes last night. B&B going all 2024 and using such fancy sh*t such as deepfakes. It was a bit (okay, super stilted) stilted but at least sth. new. to the contrary: Brooke/Ridge/NuNuTaylor are an offense to everyone involved. Most importantly viewers. I don’t get why they recasted Taylor with this actress. She is horrible and doesn’t work at all. A different character would have at least pretended that this is a different story. the show continues to be super flat. Nothing really sparkles these days. Sad!
  3. wow - some unexpected yearly numbers (compared to previous years). Don Diamont up to 90 episodes well beyond Scott Clifton, who could go off-contract, it seems!?
  4. In the late 1990s, she played a fried of Mary Williams and therefore had occasional appearances
  5. Is Kurt's neighbor Helen Miller the same actress who later played Rebecca Kaplan, Brad's mother?
  6. Guys, have you seen Peter Bergman explaining how muchcontent it is? It is just 504 days without sleeping and doing anything else. Sounds doable... 😉
  7. If I recall correctly, they mentioned that YouTube is taking care of the music rights issue (with help of their algorithms...) and that for this reason it is easier to showcase episodes on YT than showing reruns or selling DVDs.
  8. That's pretty cool: this is Ken La Ron of B&B fame in scnes with Vickie Rowell and Kristoff St. John, right?
  9. Wow - that is an unexpected surprise.... release is October 4! Seems they skipped the "bonus materials" from previous releases but instead lowered the price for this a bit https://fernsehjuwelen.de/Reich-und-Schoen-Box-11-Die-klassischen-Folgen-251-300-XXL-Ausgabe-mit-doppelter-Folgenanzahl-50-Folgen-7-DVDs/6424259
  10. Are you watching Summer 1996 right now? In that case, Tylo left for Melrose Place with episode #2308 that aired June 8, 1996. In #2353 (August 9), Taylor reappears in the plane sitting next to Ridge. If you don't know about the whole real life drama, it is more or less an organic development and classic soap surprise. It only gets weird when Tylo is HEAVILY pregnant for the fashion show engagement shocker. She does not leave for a proper maternity leave at all in 1996/1997- either due to clever pre- and post-recording of scenes - or to stick it to Aaron Spelling.
  11. I don't think Brad got bored with Ashley at all. For me it seemed that someone at CBS realized what a colossal mistake they did by letting Eileen Davidson go from Y&R - and hence Ashley returned to Genoa City. If I recall correctly, Eileen Davidson had a full contract year at B&B around her full contract guarantee of episodes. Pairing her with Kyle Lowder was cringe but in general she proved what an amazing actress she is. Her stint on B&B felt seemless to her decades of work as Ashley.
  12. Fully agreed. It’s a dream to come true that I guess no one of us ever imagined or even dared to dreamed of…
  13. Exactly. Wasn't Taylor in the basement for like 3 months until Ridge drove the car (!!!) into Morgan's house and saved her? EPIC!
  14. One can argue whether the beginning (which is plotting-wise splendid build-up) with the Ridge affair and Stephanie throwing around abortion pills was a good storyline. However, approximately 6 months into Morgan's run the whole storyline was truly dynamic. As soon as Dr. Tim from Y&R appears in LA everything is pure soap psyschpath gold. Talk about a great climax. Overall, it is far from a bad storyline - especially for 2020s standards.
  15. Grant is one of the many SUPER wasted MALE character of B&B in the 90/00s. Grant's itroduction was great: he had chemistry with everyone. Grant and Brooke were kinda interesting with the country club. But then: he forced marriage was soooo bad. Then: strike of genius! Grant moves to Spetcra and has AMAZING chemsitry with Macy. Naturally, they had to kill him off quickly. Bummer!
  16. After watching the Emmys, I thought to give Y&R a try for the first time in forever. 20 minutes into it, Friday's show however is SOOOOOO boring. It's only 3 characters and nothing happens???
  17. The lifetime achievement segment as well the speeches by Mel and Ed Scott were actually extremely well done and must-see.
  18. I might be wrong but I kind of feel that KKL always visits SF around May / June - at least she has been posting pics once a year for at least 2 years in a row. I also love the fact that they are still in touch...
  19. THIS Even the Johnny/Rush story was pretty good. Lauren mentoring Amber was smiliar to her later turn to help Mac on Y&R. But overall indeed, Lauren's stories on B&B were all so forgetful. It did not make any sense to use this character os badly. I always thought that Tracey Bregman had crazy chemsitry with Dyan Neal and the show SHOULD have gone there.
  20. Wow - that hurts. She was such a vibrant lady. May she rest in peace! She was an amazing actress
  21. This was indeed a terrible story. It was a complete mess similiar to Claudia's story in 1997. Considering that the story centered around a legacy character like Kristen it was even more stupid to rush through this plot like on crack. Within 6 months, the couple found each other, had an HIV crisis and adopted a child from Africa. WTF!? Massimo's introduction is also quite WTF-ish. I have a soft spot for that ludicrous plot with Brooke and the Eiffel tower, though. That was brilliant. Indeed. Slap in the face to the previous actors, that B&B did not bother to get one of them back in the first place. And then the whole storyline was a waste of time - and Ingo Rademacher is no Al PAcino to make any of this worthwhile anyway I didn't like Morgan at first (even though this was probably the LAST successful introduction of a psycho in soaps for many years...), but as soon as the lost the baby and Dr. Tim arrived in LA, I loved every minute of it...
  22. It's not yet in The Vault, I think. The Lake Como remote was Fall 1997 - Uploads are until March/April right now.
  23. It was never revealed. Yet, the universal consensus always seemed to be that the intruder is Russel Todd as Jerry Birn - the somewhat strange neighbor introduced in episode #2102.
  24. And B&B messed up the credits. Isn't the big font usually the actor's name?
  25. Hahaha - indeed. I loved this storyline. It was fresh, outlandish and impactful. ANd look at the production values: so many extras and everything. One of the last truly big hoorahs of B&B
