  1. One of the craziest TV moments EVER. I LOVED Taylor!
  2. B&B's cast picture are usually taken in November, but only the last couple of years they have labled the photo as the official cast photo of the following year though...
  3. Articles in the soap rags used to be SO MUCH better like this profile shows...
  4. No idea but from what I remember story-wise it was never much an option for hope to gain eyesight. They talked about visiting a specialist or even saw one but it was always clear that is nearly impossible to cure her blindness. By it it was also more powerful that those sluts Nikki and Vickie kept spouting ther insults at Hope for "trying to steal Victor" and "connocting a powerful scheme to get into Victor's life". How I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATED both of them during that time. Nowadays I would wish that Vickie would trigger any emotion... LOL
  5. They did not even bother. It was just not mentioned after the dinner. One of the lamest plot devices ever. And one of the reason why I liked Kay Alden taking over because Bill Bell had some issues of laziness in 1996/1997...
  6. Like for 5 seconds before she started to piss EVERYBODY in town again. This was the time when Brenda was at her divaishest. The story was fantastic (as it not only rejuvenated Kay/Jill but also Jack), although the conclusion/reveal was kind of unnecessary and boring.
  7. wow this is bad. like the worst 90s/early 2000s boom-boom songs revisted...
  8. Indeed. Continue watching, Cat! You won't miss an episode there - AW was pre-empted on these days and ALL episodes are up till 5th Octorber 1992...
  9. Not to mention that Ricky Paul and Christian LeBlanc were roommates back in NYC in the late 80s... There's just no end to it - especially when you have Dean pulling his best Freddy Mercury impressions.
  10. LMAO. But seriously - isn't he married (to a woman) now and even having a child (from his wife). One cannot stress certain things enough. Judy Evans as Pualina is so different from what I've seen else of her. Paulina is so rootable.
  11. OMG they did a film noir episode in February 1992... "Cass-a-nova" I really like Cass as a character.
  12. That's Ricky Paul as we know him... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBo3oBnjC6U
  13. Never actually watched it. Was too young during it's original run to remember anything. And the show has the feel of a limetime movie-of-the-week. It really aimed for a female audience was effective at that, but the writing did not stretch for complexity. It was mostly a series about a hospital with lots of backdrop of the Black Forrest mostly dealing with romance and medical cases of the week. It was no great show by any means, just mass compatible and sth. fresh and new when it premiered: the lush geographic setting, the more upper class feel (They are chief doctors at a hospital and hence have to be well off, you know ;-)) and of course it was one of the first medical series. A genre which alongside sloooow crime serials is well-liked by the audience.
  14. A true primetime soap in the wake of DALLAS and DYNASTY was "Das Erbe der Guldenburgs" (The Guldenburg Legacy) which aired on the same network as "Die Schwarzlwaldklinik": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oFYm8cRIRw The show had great writing and a fabulous cast which in two cases shot to mega-stardom not soon after (Iris Berben &Christiane Hoerbiger) although they alongside most of the rest of the cast were already quite famous when the series started. A scene with the most prominent characters and the family holding a council as to who is to run the family enterprise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBawM-n2oYQ&feature=related
  15. Sami Jo was a fun character which worked best during the on-and-off-seasons
  16. The show had extremely crappy writing over most of its run... The dialogues were fun and some characters, too. But the writing left much to be desired. Overall the last season which is very un-Dynasty-like (and penned by someone from DALLAS, if I remember correctly) is the best. In between is some good stuff but the show is very uneven, IMO.
  17. Will you post the ep counts? Was never really interested in SuBe but this should be intersting...
  18. Don't know the track's title but my favorite one is basically two times on the soundtrack, a very vampish cue which I totally associate with many Victoria Rowell scenes of the nineties. As soon as it was Neil & Dru romancing they played this score, although it was quite often used, also becuase that one "tune" is apparently used for two different scores...
  19. Share your feeling but have a look at my previous. BTW, if you don't have the Y&R soundrack yet, check eBay... The compilation is a tad too swoonsome for my taste but it opens beuatifully with Nadia's theme and closes with the long closing titles...
  20. I doubt they do one with the drama scores, GH and Y&R both excluded them as well when they released they soundtracks in the 90s. My guess is that the target group is woman (once again) and they think they'll only be interested in the romance department. Maybe if sales are ok (an ITunes release must be dirt cheap so each sale should mean $$$ for the show), we'll get another one. Ah, c'mon: that Rick & Steffy theme has such a nice rhytm. It's not artistic in any way but has i's appeal. I wanted to convert that Jackie M-theme as my ringtune but ITunes totally cut my plans. I always get some error message - and yet Apple is always considered superior. Whatever. (I still love my IPhone though)
  21. Bought it - actually the first time that I bought anything from ITunes - and love it. It's worth the money, they really produced long scores and not just those short snippets like on Y&R's soundtrack (which is still good). Each track is about 3 minutes and makes great listening, I particularly like the modern scores for Jackie and the Rick&Steffy theme. They are just sooooo raunchy. LOL! However, they left out the Ridge&Caroline theme (the Ridge & Taylor one as well) which is downright criminal because it is one of their best scores. I was also surprised the title theme is NOT on this recording but maybe it was not composed by Allocco & Kurth alone?
  22. WOW - never knew that. Funny thing is, a recast could have actually worked since the show was sooooo Brooke-centric back in 1997. That said, Ferguson was ok as Brooke (they reduced Brooke'S screentime and it lasted only three months or so) but she seemed rather insecure as a mother to Rick and Bridget. As if Sandra Ferguson were firghtened of the child actors. LOL
  23. Sure but probably not on YouTube. Kent King wasn't too memorable and truly was a "temp": therefore she never stepped in as Dru. She played her for a max of 5 episodes but not even in a row; basically once a month in summer 2000 they couldn't get Rowell into the studio (for whatever reason) and apparently Kent KIng was on stand-by hoping to get a role on Y&R and so she stepped in. LOL
