  1. Ahem, this loonie tunes version of Diane does not fit the previous portrayals at all!? And: I haven't watched Y&R in a while but was shocked at the bad make-up/lack thereof on Jason Thompson, Peter Bergman and Eileen Davidson. They all looks really unflattering I that promo. Nice that the show keeps Beth Maitland around, though. She's always great.
  2. Christmas 1992, Episode 1445, has the first Christmas greetings adressed to the audience it seems. And looks who is there. The ENTIRE Bell family! Whilst only Bill Sr. is speaking, we also have Bill Jr, Lauralee, Lee and a young Bradley (with his later wife Colleen!) front and center. PS: Brad has honored this tradition occasionally over the years...
  3. While she is always close to KKL, we have seen loads of pictures of Ashley (ex-Bridget) around Television City/The Grove the last couple of weeks, so my best guess is that Bridget returns in a recurring capacity. Not sure about the twist, though.
  4. Huh? The set which is now called "the design office" and was originally Ridge's office has been around since the first episode!?
  5. Any suggestion where to buy PRINT ISSUES of Soap Opera Digest these days? My parents toured various Publix, WholeFoods, CVS locations and it is nowhere to be found in Miami Beach. I'm asking because the current issue has B&B on the cover and it is retailed on Amazon for 11.99...
  6. Also of note is that originally Sally was not that funny but rather menacingly dangerous sort of Rose DeVille II. They quickly fleshed her out and added the camp factor, but I found it fascinating nonetheless.
  7. Videoland is a DUTCH pay-for-view site like Netflix. They want content for Dutch viewers, hence the subtitles. There is zero corelation, IMO.
  8. Thanks for the update. All the best to you and a stressfree move!
  9. I found 1988 to be more interesting than 1987 because the Logan angle is soon DROPPED. Donna and Nick had more potential than they got. Clarke & Kirsten were one of the draws for me...
  10. The show put in A LOT of effort into the Grant character when he was introduced in 1996. He got a backstory with Taylor and was very much into country music and yoga (?). Least that I remember, he also gave Brooke a porcelain turtle (?) as a keepsake attached to a long pep-talk that Brooke should sell herself short by going after Ridge. It was pretty moving - and I liked Grant, too. He then became JR Ewing 2.0 out of a sudden and was shot by Rick. Eventually, Grant entered Macy's orbit with whom I liked him the best. It was pretty sad when the show killed him off so soon. That said, as of 1997 the show stopped defining him as a proper character.
  11. Present for the B&B anniversary cast photo shoot were - in addition to the current cast (minus Heather Tom) - WINSOR HARMON, JACK WAGNER and ASHLEY JONES. Only the latter has been on B&B in recent years. Hmmm....
  12. Bill Spencer Sr. is probably Ridge's father and not Massimo Marone IV. 😉
  13. Cool - thanks for sharing! Minor roles there is a ton, but going for a contract role, only Don Diamont comes to mind even though he did a crossover from Y&R before becoming Bill Spencer - and was not a guest star in the classic sense.
  14. Sigh! A time period of goodness where Nikki, Victoria, Jill, Diane and Phyllis were all walking around town to pick a fight with someone. LOL
  15. This is pretty cool of her; clearly she did her research before stepping into the role. Thumbs up!
  16. He is a producer at B&B for more than a decade, even though well into the usual retirement age.
  17. Could someone add the rest of 2021 to the Vault, pls? I've fallen so far behind that it is the easiest way to at last continue watching even if I'm not sure if I will ever be able to catch up again. THANKS!
  18. THIS!!! While a little bit harder to digest as a business woman than Jill - who had the streetsmarts and dedication to BECOME someone in 80s and 90s - Nikki entering the business world under Kay Alden's penmenship felt like a natural evolution.
  19. I think Phyllis' appeal came from DANNY and CRICKET both being holier than thou for so long that it was so delicious for them to have an adversary who was so much fun while being a "baddy". And as you pointed out: all sidekick characters were great in their own way. I'd add Joanie the nanny who had the most excruciating pieces of dialogue with "Mrs. Romalotti". During most of Phyllis' first run, Nikki was held hostage at the Newman ranch by the writers similiar to Phyllis being stuck in her living room 24/7 but it was light and day in regards to the character having appeal and driving story. I think we all agree with you that there were at least 1001 better storyline ideas of what we got as the reliquary mess. LMAO
  20. This was actually pretty insightful AND touching!
  21. Shirley was soooo much fun!!! Those were the days
