B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
Sally means the lack of support from Stephanie and the rest of the Forresters. Or in Sally's view: the family always showed hostility and/or lack of trust to Macy because they hate Sally. The only real event shown onscreen: the police going after Macy on behalf of the Forresters over the theft of the BeLieF formula.

B&B: Unexpected Return?
You are expecting too much (logic) from this show. I said it before Rena Sofer's last episode and will say it again: Quinn won't get a proper exit - other than a throwaway line. And Shauna is probably back to sex it up with Ridge and will neither meet Wyat (her quasi son in law!?) nor talk about Quinn. I'd be stunned if it were the case. Stunned.

B&B: Unexpected Return?
This is random now that Rena Sofer is gone. Its better news than Darrin Brooks being back, though.

Doey anyone why B&B used Vicki Lawrence in her then TV talk show "Vicki!" to feauture a fake/staged interview with Charlton Heston to "promote" the Salute to Hollywood fashion show??? According to wikipeda Vicki! was syndicated (and not a CBS show), so I was quite surprised that B&B decided to incoprate her with her real talk show.

I was just about to chime in: @AbcNbc247- at what episode are you at the moment? I have also basically zero memories of early 1994, but as soon as Kim Brown is back from her maternity leave things should heat up considerably. I'm curious whether Taylor's death will work for me slightly as good as the first time around knowing that it is, well, a fake-out. Fall 1994 should be dynamite with Morroco.

Does anyone remember soap gossip from back then. Was Jeff Trachta already his music career? Y&R's Michael Damian was on Broadway in 1994 in JOSEPH, right? Jeff Trachta did GREASE in 1996 which they did incorporate in the show, but I wodner if he had some musical engagements before or whether he was really shipped off for storyline purposes.

It's true that Thorne suddenly has a lot less airtime (while Connor is on 24/7) but he will be seen more in just a few episodes in your rewatch. There will be some Ridge/Thorne scenes as well; yet it is true that Thorne is one character that you actually notice is missing in quite a lot of episodes where he could have been around. Ronn Moss on the other is still clocking in one episode after another. Lead or no lead. It's quite interesting because back in the day I did not notice that or would have assumed that Brooke is more frontburner than him. Not true at all for at least 1987-1993. Fascinating. That recaps makes it sound so dramatic. In my memory it's exactly like @Marquise described it. That "brawl" must have been a 10 second scene with just one important detail: Bridget's bag is now gone. Agnes Bruckner made a great teen Bridget BTW.

Nope. Check these much later news reports. https://www.soapcentral.com/bold-and-beautiful/news/2010/0315-23years.php https://www.soapcentral.com/bold-and-beautiful/news/2013/0129-renewed.php Judging by these in 2013 CBS then switched to September seasons as these seem to be the last mentions of the classic season format.

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
I have now reached November 1993: Catalina Island... Boy, this show was so rewarding to watch. Brooke/Ridge/Taylor is anything but fresh because - well - we get the same or less cleverly structured drivel till this very day!? BUT: everything else is extremely fascinating to watch. Cue: the Y&R crossover storyline of Lauren & Sheila. #1666: While intended for Sheila to have her comeuppance, it is also Lauren - one of the biggest soap b*tches of the 80s and 90s - who gets a dose of her own medicine. I won't reveal any specifics because some of you have not reached this episode yet, but this is just soooooo good. BTW: I think someone on this board mentioned it before. In the previous episode Sheila gave Eric a handjob. Like for real (sort of, without getting to graphic). I don't think this was EVER done in soaps before and definitely not since.

This was her first episode as a director: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0528656/reference/ Check IMDb for a longer list of "her" episodes, but keep in mind that in the early days we did not get closing credits evry day. Hence, maybe La Flannery started directing earlier than we are aware of.

B&B: A few tidbits from BOLD LIVE
If only - I don't expect that remote shoot to be anything as cute and/or thrilling. It's still cool that they actually try to amp up the production values again. Wrong set of characters to amp up the storytelling, though.

BOLD/YR: Crossover episode coming September 26th
I think both shows shows are over that rivalry. Mostly because both actresses are supposed to push other peoples stories these days. And Jack Smith kinda blew the chance to draft a good story about Scotty.

B&B: A few tidbits from BOLD LIVE
Thank you! You put in a lot of effort - appreciated. just to clarify my earlier post: I applaud B&B for doing such podcasts. And I assume some people like them. Yet, I haaaaate these overlong talk formats compared to reading a well crafted and edited written interview.

B&B: A few tidbits from BOLD LIVE
A location shoot is a location shoot. Aspen is okay I think Casey recently went to Aspen with KKL and her hubby on vacation!? SO maybe they were checking out filming locations!ß Thnaks for sharing and surviving the podcast. It's just sooo long (and much filler).

+1 Had forgotten about them being spouses but really liked the pairing. Surprisingly, this sounds like a fun crossover.

B&B September 2022 Discussion Thread
I think the Hope mannequin (not doll, please! ;-)) was in November/December 2020. contrary to many others I liked this story A LOT. It’s at least controversial and worth to check out…

B&B: Bold from the beginning
Season 2 had its golden moments like Kristen/Clarke and the Angela suspense (plus some super strong acting of Susan Flannery!), yet everything pales in comaprison to the 1990-1992 Spectra clan. Everything feels just so fresh and organic with all of these characters (minus Mick Savage) that it is just great TV.

Bold actress out
A picture in the opening credits does not equal to the actor being on contract. Just take the little kid who used to play Douglas: Henry Joseph Samiri had a picure in the credits... Aaron D. Spears (Justin) was also in the opening and not always on contract. The list could go on and on. About my post in regards to Larewnce St. Victor: he joined the show on contract in 2013 with Karla Mosley but was bumped to recurring in 2014 or 2015. He was not put back on contract until 2020 or so. That's why Rena Sofer is correct that a longstanding castmember should follow suit in her dressing room and at the same time it is not like the show has been shunning LSW. And I repeat that several contract players do not have their own dressing room. It has always been the case.
-
Bold actress out
Nah, this one is way too easy. Lawrence St Victor has been recurring with B&B for years. Recurring players have no dressing room. Period. And even when you get put on contract you often have to share your dressing room on B&B. Racist B&B gave Lawrence St Victor the chance to write - how bad of them!

Bold actress out
One the spare silver linings of Rena Sofer's exit. I don't think the show will keep Darrin Brooke around either. He seems to have other projects anyway, so it's time for Wyatt to sail off in the sunset.

Bold actress out
Bummer - so there will be no real exit. With this background story, it’s likely for her last episode to be absolutely bland - and Quinn will just disappear. Mentioned by Carter in a month or so. Damn! This comparison is unfair, IMO. Rena Sofer has made it clear in this linked Interview above that she has expectations as an actress which BTW are totally understandable. Meanwhile, it seems that Jennifer Gareis on the other is happy to be on soaps and collect a paycheck. Her daughter is much younger, she is happily married - so it seems like B&B recurring or contract is equally fine to her because it is not one of her priorities in life to play challenging material. A friendly workplace which blends with ones personal life is good for some while others want a little more. Rena Sofer seems to belong to the latter group. And let’s all not forget: with 9 years this is the longest employment she has ever had.
