  1. So Joey knows Izaiah? That didn't appear to be the case when Joey and Elon last spoke. Unless, Joey and Izaiah had past communications and Elon knew nothing of it. Hmmm....
  2. One rewrite, or shall I say just a brand new idea altogether, that I wish showrunners would've thought of was making "cuzzos" out of these two. It worked so well for Dynasty/The Colbys Alexis and Sable.
  3. It had Stephanie looking like a whole entire hypocrite, but I continued to love the character anyway.
  4. I actually thought Nurse Nightingale aka Ashley did a better job when she was blasting Derek.
  5. Well, that's it? Nurse Nightingale is instantly done with Wheelchair Wiley? Is it a storyline setup so that he goes nuts and does something really over the top if not deadly? I mean, it is November sweeps.
  6. Nevermind! Lol. I will not be going on and on about it so have a blessed day.
  7. The fact that someone of Cady's acting caliber would even accept such a clownish role to begin with is even more laughable. But alas..........
  8. Lol. Opinions will always differ as well they should, but I just don't find this young man to be nowhere near as bad as people are making him out to be. Bad writing can certainly do a number on those who are supposed to be a lot more seasoned though. Just ask her..........
  9. I agree with most of this but I think I can still rock with the evil (or at least mischievous) twin and the occasional psychopath if done right. A few people on Facebook were giving the "Tomas" actor the beatdown and someone chimed in on the actor's defense and said "it's the writing." That’s the truth. It is the writing. Point blank.
  10. I still think that this teen trilogy is set up so that Tyrell "the teen wonder" creates his very first baby mama. For better or for worse, it fits the pattern of this show making the male characters appear weak, irresponsible, or otherwise misbehaved in some way. Martin and Smitty are too busy ganging up on Samantha.
  11. Yes. The writers and production teams should definitely steer clear of ALL things Tyler Perry related. 😁
  12. She sure isn't. The fact that he foolishly never bothered to get his own paternity test furthers this belief
  13. And yet, somehow it all worked for him, and still does.
  14. Tyler Perry didn't get to where he is, nor did he acquire his very loyal and sizable audience, by being basic. He just didn't.
  15. I love it when people make up their own stories too! They often read better than those of the actual "writers" and often make a lot more sense too, whether it's good or bad, liked or disliked.
  16. Countdown to Tyrell being the one "shooting up the club" with Jessica resulting in the clichéd "oops" moment when she announces that she's pregnant. I mean, it's the "payback" for Martin and Smitty "watchdogging" and grounding Samantha who at least had a condom in her presence.
  17. Lamon Archey doesn't sound too bad as Luke Hawthorne at all. Throw in Cassandra Freeman as Darlene and it's complete. As for Mr. Jamey Giddens, he was pretty stellar with "Ambitions". THINGS HAPPENED on that show complete with cliffhangers. It reminded me of a daytime soap in the best way.
  18. I kind of see what you mean and I'm not even one who usually references these things. The Hawthorne scenes, and make no mistake, I fully support this family and their expansion on the show, but the scene with the three Hawthorne men almost came off like a skit. I was chuckling a little bit. It even looked like they had smirks on their faces while delivering dialogue. Somehow I didn't feel the supposed tension between Elon and Izaiah either. Izaiah's behavior is so laid back that I couldn't quite envision him as some uncontrolled wild child repeatedly spending time in jail. So I guess he got his act together cold turkey? Also, the sudden referencing of some "boo" by the name of Yolanda? Anyhoo.......
  19. Why would it have mattered if anything was retconned or not? Is this really important? If it works with or without it for the better then who cares? Retconning is not new to the world of soaps.
  20. Lol. I don't think believing that Luke/Izaiah could've been a retcon was nitpicking at all. It was an honest belief or assumption to make. The irony of it all is that Izaiah is the character that the audience never knew existed until very recently. He came out of nowhere. This, along with Luke being mentioned a long time ago with no further mentioning of his character until now, is what caused people to wonder if there was a shift making them one and the same.
  21. I like daddy Elon for aesthetic reasons, but his lying and hypocrisy is amazing. Again, he was trying to make Jacob feel guilty about accusing him of being on the take when he knows it's true. And coming down on Izaiah for perceived irresponsibility? Come on now pops. On another note, how thoughtful of the writers to give all four Hawthorne men biblical names. I suppose the next addition might be Elon's twin brother "Elijah?" 😃
  22. Your wish (and mine) has been granted. Now we just wait for "Luke" to get an actual face at some point. 😆
  23. BRAVO! This show didn't forget we heard LUKE being mentioned very early on and didn't change a thing. More male characters have been needed so this is a win.
  24. I like this. It sounds very well put together.
  25. Jacob's brother when first mentioned months ago was named Luke. He was described, at the time, as also being a cop. I assume this may have been changed, and Luke is now known as Izaiah with a different career background. Unless, of course, there are three Hawthorne brothers instead of two. I wouldn't mind that being the case.
