  1. As in THE EDGE OF NIGHT.
  2. Ted and Nicole could've been the Sky and Raven of this show.
  3. A waste of time means thinking that a select people in the audience wants the show to fail. It's the showrunners who have to get their act together and continously sell their product.
  4. Again, a waste of time. BTG will or will not bomb because of the showrunners FIRST. No one else.
  5. Interesting that you noticed an uneasiness about Derek having his picture taken because Andre showed the same uneasiness in the second week of the show I believe, when his cousin Kat wanted to take a picture of him.
  6. Accusing people of wanting the show to bomb is a waste of time and carries no relevance to begin with. The audience are not the official writers, the showrunners are. It's like a supermarket rolling out a new product to consumers asking them to buy it. OK, the product is good and consumers have spent their money on it. If you want us to keep spending our money on it, you must maintain the product's goodness. Every. Step. Of. The. Way.
  7. They started out promising but looking like they ended up becoming lazy. I don't know what they're waiting for but waiting is something they cannot afford for obvious reasons. Time is most clearly of the essence.
  8. Part of my point exactly. 😆
  9. These unexpected character connections and still not a proper father/son connection for Ted and Martin. They should've been amongst the very first.
  10. Loads of potential exists with this show but it's like they're not stepping outside of the box, but instead, are operating the kind of vibe that soaps ran on 20+ years ago. I don't think it's going to work when all is said and done. I think people want something more different now, and I can't emphasize enough about the pacing.
  11. The first two weeks were on point. It has definitely now slowed down and the ratings have dropped. I meant what I said a long time ago about momentum and pacing.
  12. Today was the kind of episode we did not need, especially for a less than two month old production. Can't have too many of these going forward. The momentum and the pacing has to remain on point.
  13. Someway, somehow, I believe in them as potential characters who can mix well with the rest of the cast. Proper writing for them is obviously key.
  14. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a stunt, and then karma hits and he strokes out for real some time in the future. I would never toy with medical conditions. Or Lucy Coe in her heyday.
  15. JR and Sue Ellen three. All the way down to the alcohol consumption.
  16. I think I prefer Jacob over Andre as well. For me, it's not just about looks, but also about vibe. Jacob just seems manlier in contrast to Andre's boyishness.
  17. Andre being nasty? I'm convinced now that this trait runs in the family. Him, his uncle Ted, his cousin Martin, etc.
  18. Anita's police charity gala? I will be watching closely to see if there's any more of an implication that she and chief bald and sexy have done something in the past or will do something in the future.
  19. Nicole and current Ted had the potential vibe of these two. Turtleneck and all.
  20. . Part of her early on character description is that she lived in a condo. Lots of these characters early descriptions have not materialized though.
  21. Speaking of all of the Victoria Rowell love that we've loved here, yall remember this? One thing I liked about past soaps is how a scene would morph into slow motion when something terrible was about to occur.
  22. No worries sir. I probably need a drink sometimes like Dani? OK maybe not quite like that. Yikes!
  23. Yes. Nothing but style, class, and a commanding presence.
  24. I'd like to see a Richardson family dinner featuring a home cooked meal. A soul food meal to be exact. Nicole, Ted, Kat, Martin, Smitty, Tyrell, Samantha, and Andre all gather at Nicole's and Ted's home. Kat attempts to do the cooking but botched it. We learn that besides photography, Andre has cooking skills specializing in soul food and he takes over. If nothing else, I need Ted and Martin to at least notice each other. Still no viable scene between them.
