  1. *Not* TVLine. It was Stephanie Sloane reporting for TV Insider. https://www.tvinsider.com/1124160/bold-and-the-beautiful-sheila-dead-steffy-kimberlin-brown-exit/ quote: Steffy Forrester stabbed Sheila Carter to death on the Monday, February 26 episode Kimberlin Brown admits she had to work through some feelings after hearing that Sheila, the role she first began playing on The Young and the Restless in 1990 before crossing over to B&B two years later, would be killed off. “Well, you know, it’s a tough place for me to be in right now; I’m not going to lie about this,” Brown begins. “I guess if anyone were going to take Sheila down, I’m happy it’s Steffy. I just wish that no one was taking Sheila down. It’s my happy place where I have been so blessed to be for over 35 years. But I’ve had a good run at it, so I’m one of the lucky ones, there’s no doubt about it.” Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy, was torn over the news that Sheila would die at her alter ego’s hand. “Well, it’s bittersweet because I absolutely love working with Kimberlin; she is just the consummate professional,” Wood praises. “She elevates every scene and she’s so creative. For Steffy, hallelujah! This is her moment. How long has it taken Steffy to take her down and it’s finally happening, so it’s going to be a big shock.” As a fan of the soap before she joined it in 2008, Wood adds, “For someone who used to watch the show, and to [now] go toe-to-toe against Sheila, that’s a really cool moment.” End quotes
  2. In my opinion, there doesn't need to be any rule that male or female actors should be taller/shorter than the actors who portray their romantic partners; and there doesn't need to be any rule about how much any height difference should be. I like that actors in pairings sometimes have unconventional differences in height. It's more relatable to real life.
  3. Quoting some of Drescher's speech at SAG-AFTRA awards: "During the fight for a better TV theatrical contract, global ideas emerged. AI will entrap us in a matrix where none of us know what's real. If an inventor lacks empathy and spirituality, perhaps that's not the invention we need. Dystopia stories can also become a self-fulfilling prophecy. We should tell stories that spark the human spirit, connect us to the natural world, and awaken our capacity to love unconditionally." "What does female leadership look like to women and girls? We don't have to emulate male energy, but rather lead with intellect, compassion, wisdom – and still rock a red lip. Sometimes it's hard to see the frame when you're in the picture. But a renaissance can happen. We each can work to develop empathy within ourselves. Collectively, the paradigm will shift toward peace and harmony."
  4. This is a really great video. I appreciate the sincerity and inclusiveness. Watch it even if you're not disabled, it's lovely. Troy Kotsur, the first deaf actor to be nominated and win a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, announces that SAG-AFTRA is increasing accessibility for those who are blind or have low vision with addition of Audio Descriptions for Digital Screeners and the 30th Annual SAG Awards Global Live Stream airing on Netflix Saturday, February 24, 2024
  5. California Gov. Gavin Newsom has launched a multistate ad campaign ... to prevent or overturn states enacting abortion travel restrictions https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-02-25/newsom-unveils-multistate-ad-campaign-to-fight-abortion-travel-restrictions-in-red-states
  6. I remember this. I watched this storyline on TV when it first aired. I remember the dialogue about New York being a place where it was legal. I was mystified when people were posting here that it was 1972 or 1973.
  7. The Hunted Lady - Pilot (Suspense) ABC Television Movie - 1977 Donna Mills https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hunted_Lady The wikipedia article says it was a intended as a pilot for a TV series, but the series wasn't picked up, so they released it as a "tv movie" instead. Found it on youtube, it didn't load well, but I got the first few minutes. She appears at 3.:30 wearing a policewoman's uniform. The type of uniform made as a dress instead of trousers/shirt. screengrab: fyi @slick jones
  8. She says in the SOD interview that it was super cold in Toronto and that she'd told her husband she wanted to go somewhere warm on vacation for a week or two, and then the call came to do Y&R, so she did that instead. She didn't like leaving her children in Toronto but there was no time to arrange for them to be in L.A. so she went alone. She said that by the time she returned home, the weather in Toronto had warmed a little bit, so it was as if she'd brought the warmth home. From all of that ... I *speculate* that she was in L.A. for at least a week, but I don't know how many episodes she taped. So yeah a brief arc, but more than a single episode.
  9. Sure but last-minute international airfare from Toronto must have been expensive. I hope her arc is at least a couple of weeks so that she made good money!
  10. Yeah that's the only thing that makes sense here. But I mean, asking the goddess Mishael to be a last-minute replacement? They better have paid her well.
  11. INTERVIEW with Mishael https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-mishael-morgan-amanda-on-her-young-and-restless-comeback/ Holy sh!t, she says they asked her back as a very-last-minute replacement for someone. They contacted her on a Thursday, she said yes on Friday, and was on the plane on Monday. She confirms she lives in Toronto and went to L.A. to film this arc. I wonder who was originally written to be Jill's attorney? Christian Le Blanc is airing the same week as the Newman family attorney (regarding Claire/Jordan/etc) so I doubt that Amanda would be replacing Michael. I thought Vail Bloom's Heather already worked for Devon and Lily? Or does she? So I don't think Heather would have been Jill's attorney? (It's hard to keep track of who works for/with whom on this show).
  12. Deidre interviewed about the Pawn storyline https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-deidre-hall-dishes-about-the-pawn-story-on-days-of-our-lives Good interview. She talks about Marlena believing in John. She also says, re: John: "Well, he doesn’t even exactly know what that past is at this point. I mean, Konstantin has sort of mind-controlled him a bit. But John does go off on a mission to clear his name in Greece. So, there is a tale to all this that goes on a bit."
  13. Feb. 22, 2024 tribute to Ellen Holly. The following actors are scheduled for the livestream: Mariann Aalda, Jonelle Allen, Iona Morris Jackson, Phil Morris, and James Reynolds.

  20. Bio https://cfa.lmu.edu/programs/theatrearts/showcase2023/smith/ Resume with Experience at Loyola Marymount University in theater and film. And theater at Santa Margarita Catholic High School https://cfa.lmu.edu/media/lmucommunicationandfinearts/departments/theatrearts/showcase2023/Sydney Smith Resume.pdf ^ fyi @JAS0N47 She is *this* Sydney Kathrann Smith on IMDB (she'll add to it after she airs on DAYS). https://www.imdb.com/name/nm11263416/ She is *not* this Sydney K.
