  1. I don't tweet but you could tweet the Y&R composer/music supervisor https://twitter.com/RCCates and he'd tell you what the song is.
  2. Thanks for providing the donation link. And everything that Errol said is legit. Here is the full description (which is the same info) on the UTexas website, if anyone needs the university's page for their records: https://moody.utexas.edu/news/endowment-created-honor-actor-and-radio-television-film-grad-billy-miller
  3. Actress Suzanne Rogers has myasthenia gravis in real life, and that was written into her character Maggie. However she (the actress) was in remission for a long time. She(the actress) had another flareup in 2021.
  4. RE: Claire the spoiler is: Nikki is still captive at Jordan's house. Nikki may not be the only member of the Newman family who is being targeted. Claire returns to Genoa City and pretends to accidentally encounter Victoria at Newman, and says "omg I just got a call that there's been an accident with Nikki at my aunt's house" https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-yr-preview-nikki-falls-off-the-wagon/ RE: Cole the spoiler is: Cole "has a surprise reunion with ex-wife Victoria" https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/j-eddie-peck-returns-to-the-young-and-the-restless/ The spoiler pics show Cole on the set of Jordan's house. I wonder if he is there to be creepy and help Jordan? Or does Cole arrive voluntarily/innocently, lured there under false pretenses and doesn't know why? Does he instigate surprising Victoria? Or are both of them surprised?
  5. Interesting. I was watching back then when Nikki was married to Kevin, and she was pregnant, and confiding in Kay, and unaware of the paternity. I remember all that! But I didn't know (or hadn't paid attention) to how Victoria got her name. Back in those days I didn't have a VCR or soap magazines -- so if I missed something, I couldn't find out what I missed. I must have assumed that Nikki named Victoria after Victor because she loved Victor, even though she was married to Kevin.
  6. Victoria is named after Victor and Nicholas is named after Nicole (Nikki). I thought it was as simple as that.
  7. https://moody.utexas.edu/news/endowment-created-honor-actor-and-radio-television-film-grad-billy-miller The University of Texas at Austin Moody College of Communication by Mary Huber Communications Coordinator November 13, 2023 Endowment created to honor actor and Radio-Television-Film grad Billy Miller Scholarship fund will help students with financial need studying radio-television-film Billy Miller began his love affair with movies in the 1980s, after seeing his first film in the theaters, “ET.” He was secretly passionate about acting, something he kept hidden from his family and friends until after his graduation from The University of Texas at Austin. BJ, as his family called him, earned his bachelor’s degree in radio-television film in 2002, before heading to Los Angeles, where he worked in the mailroom of a prominent entertainment production company. On a dare from friends, he decided to try his hand auditioning for roles. Miller hit success and went on to star in the daytime soap operas “All My Children,” “General Hospital” and “The Young and The Restless” and took home three Emmys. He died in September at 43, surrendering his life to bipolar depression, which he struggled with his whole life. “I hope BJ is remembered for the kind-hearted, silly, funny, goofy, generous, beautiful soul that he was,” his sister, Megan Hubbell, said. “His megawatt smile, deep belly laugh and gorgeous mug were gifts on screen, but his true-self was a bright light that will be carried with us forever.” Miller’s family and friends are raising funds to honor him by creating the William John Miller II “Billy Miller” Memorial Scholarship, a permanent scholarship endowment that will help UT radio-television-film students with financial need. They hope the endowment will be a legacy to his life and love of acting. “We want something positive to be held in his name in perpetuity through the University he loved,” Hubbell said. “He would be honored to know that even in death, he can help someone else realize their dreams.” Miller was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas. His family said he had his pick of schools, and UT was his first choice. He started in the zoology program before switching to radio-television-film, where he felt he belonged. Miller was one of just 20 students at the time accepted into the department’s prestigious production-sequence program. “BJ was extremely proud to be a Texas Longhorn and always remembered his time there fondly,” Hubbell said. “The time he spent at UT allowed him the space to explore who he wanted to be and what he wanted to accomplish.” Miller’s first TV performances were in national commercials for the Sims video games and JC Penny’s before landing his roles on “The Young and The Restless” and “General Hospital”, the former of which earned him three Daytime Emmys for his portrayal of Billy Abbott, a spoiled rich kid with a gambling problem. He received additional Emmy nominations for his work on “General Hospital,” where he played twin brothers Jason Morgan and Drew Cain in nearly 600 episodes spanning six years. “I always admired the guts it took to go after a dream in Hollywood that so many people tried to discourage,” Hubbell said. “He heard, ‘You’ll never make it’ more times than I care to count, but he used those comments as fuel and said, ‘Watch me.’” In addition to his soap opera roles, Miller also appeared in the TV series “Suits,” “Ray Donovan” and “Castle.” His family, in his death, encouraged people to take stock of their own mental health, which Miller would have wanted. “BJ would want anyone struggling with intrusive thoughts to seek professional help,” Hubbell said. “Do not suffer in silence or try to muscle through on your own. Mental health is vitally important and shouldn’t be spoken about in silos behind closed doors but rather in open forums with open arms. Shame has no place in the discussion to seek help.” We invite you to give a gift in Billy’s memory. Link for donations to the scholarship: https://give.utexas.edu/?menu=OGPCOWJM
  8. Claire refers to Jordan as her "great aunt". What if . . . . Claire is NotDead baby Eve, the original Eve Howard (Margaret Mason) is her grandmother -- then Zenk's Jordan could be the younger sister of the original Eve? ? ? ? ? ? ?
  9. I don't know what originally aired. But per the above tweeted clip, what Victoria said in 2015 is that she never got to hold Eve and only saw her once through the NICU window.
  10. ^ The clip of Victoria in the green sari talking to Nick -- is from Nov. 6, 2015.
  11. This was already posted in the Zenk thread, but I'll add it here, too: She references the movie "All About Eve"... it could be simply that Aunt Jordan has some manipulative qualities like Bette Davis' character, and the direct quote from the movie about seat belts. But maybe she's hinting this Y&R storyline is All About (baby) Eve.
  12. Sadly, Sheri Anderson didn't take over for Ron as nonunion headwriter during the strike. It was said that the firedguy began coordinating the scriptwriting during the strike, which is a way of saying he put himself in charge of everything and tried to be the showrunner. Unknown if there was actually a headwriter or he just ran things. The strike began May 2 and he was fired Aug. 4 so there are three months of him being in charge that will air into early spring. Sheri may have been on the DAYS staff since the WGA website states she went ficore in 2023. But she could theoretically also been writing for some non-soap project. One clue is that on May 15 she changed her "sheriawriter" facebook banner pic to a vase of flowers with a little hourglass next to it. You can see only the top of the flowers in the banner but the May 15 post shows the whole picture. I mean that could be a coincidence but the strike began May 2 and she uploaded that pic May 15. **** speculation only *** maybe firedguy was in charge of story direction and other crap but perhaps she was writing dialogue? We might not learn what actually happened, since nonunion writers probably won't be credited. And then there's two more months of writers strike writing after firedguy left. Who knows who was in charge then? That stuff could air into late spring. We'll see Ron's stuff up through the Christmas 2023 episodes. Then strike material through May. Episodes taped with Janet being co-EP would start airing in April. But the writing would be by nonunion people. Episodes taped with Janet as co-EP and written by Ron and union writers ... probably won't air until late May? Who knows what the shape of the show will be in by then? (disclaimer that I might be off by a month or two but that's sort of the basic idea)
  13. Mon Nov. 20, Tues Nov 21, and Wed Nov 22 will be all new episodes (No details since this is nonspoiler thread). Thurs Nov 23 will be repeat of #8654 from Nov. 24, 2021 recap of that here: https://web.archive.org/web/20210101000000*/https://soaps.sheknows.com/the-bold-and-the-beautiful/recaps/615964/bold-beautiful-deacon-sheila-miss-hope-finn-thanksgiving/ Friday Nov. 24 is entirely preempted for college football.
  14. Historians -- soapoperaNews.net is saying Feb. 4, 1993 was episode #5044. Does anyone have an episode number chart from that time period? I remember reading a French chart here a few years ago but I wouldn't know where to find it now.
  15. The closing credits from Feb. 4, 1993: Produced by David Shaughnessy Written by Bill Bell, Kay Alden, Jack Smith, and "Eric L. Roberts". (I gather "Eric L. Roberts" refers to the triad of writers @Broderick described on page 819 of the "Y&R: Old Articles" thread.)
  16. FYI this Feb. 4, 1993 episode would air on Global-Canada on Wed. Nov. 22. In USA it airs Thurs. Nov. 23 after the Thanksgiving Day parade in most timezones. But be aware: In the Pacific timezone the parade will override Y&R in some markets. Also your local community might have special Thanksgiving events televised that override Y&R. You can try to find it on another channel or on CBS.com or paramount plus that evening. I suggest grabbing it off the Global website if you can, just in case your local channel in the USA doesn't carry it.
  17. Traci got uncharacteristically nasty! Then after Traci left, a puzzle piece arrived in Lauren's mail but Lauren seemed totally puzzled about the puzzle. Traci tells Lauren I'm a successful author with a great man and you Lauren have an empty marriage and an empty life and then Traci throws in Lauren's face this "you even have to sue for custody of your child!" I had never seen this episode until just now, and never in all my life have I seen Traci that way!
  18. I just watched it. Victoria is having sexual issues and is seeing a therapist who suggested she stay with her mother for a few days. That's why Ryan was alone and took himself out to dinner and encountered Nina. Ryan and Nina dance at Gina's. Nina wants him to stay longer but Ryan says "that wouldn't be prudent". Victor lives in an apartment. Victor's secretary Connie warns him on the phone that Eve is coming. Victor tells Douglas Austin about his past history with Eve. Eve tells Victor she has a photo of their grown son but she won't show it to him. She leaves when he doesn't believe her. Nikki is married to Jack and is pregnant and the baby kicks. Nicholas is a little boy and is worried about why his big sister Victoria is home.
  19. Greg Vaughan set up his ig so that this post is unable to be embedded. Link to his post, with nine pics: https://www.instagram.com/p/CzwRywYOQtn This is what he said with the pictures: Nov. 17, 2023 thegreg_vaughan During this difficult time, these last 2wks I’ve been lovingly embraced by so many of my costars & reunited w/ old friends to share memories & also those who still need more time since the news of Tylers passing. This one HURTS …., I couldn’t & I still struggle finding it difficult too write my thoughts or even choose the appropriate words to give a glimpse of what T.C., meant in my life, & what we shared over 25yrs! Which is simply impossible! I lost more than a co-star, and a friend, I lost a brother! But know this, “we laughed together, we cried together, we celebrated in every way! We went & cheered at our favorite college football teams for which our trips to the horseshoe, “The Ohio State Buckeyes,” I could never get away from that stadium fast enough, after watching my Texas Longhorns win & then going to watch Texas again, win the National Championship Rose-bowl the same year in 2005! Ok… OSU won in Austin in 06’ I walked 6th st in a bucks jersey … happy now 😂🤘 We’d challenge one another on set and then take it to the gym with Drew to see who would be at their best! Which was always the T.C. way! He pushed me to push him!! Iron sharpens Iron! Our journeys to fan events across the country, conversations deep into the night would sometimes have to end by rock, paper, scissors challenge to determine a winner! TC, Derk & myself, the biker boys motorcycle adventures throughout the LA canyons, Mulholland road or down the PCH to make a Thursday night football game after work! T.C., it was an amazing ride! I love ya always & will cherish those memories forever! GBYA Go Bucks // Go Horns 🤘❤️ 🙏 #princeofportcharles #fourmusketters #nicolascassadine #generalhospital #daysofourlives
  20. Colleen Zenk Returns to Daytime TV with 'Scores to Settle' in The Young and the Restless Article and photos: https://people.com/colleen-zenk-returns-the-young-and-the-restless-exclusive-8404007
  21. I think they suddenly brought back Vail Bloom as Heather first to take over as Phyllis' attorney when CLB took leave for cancer treatment; and I speculate that they kept her on because of Christel Khalil eventually taking maternity leave. Lucy has so many connections in town and I think the actress Lily Brooks O'Briant does a good job, and would be great if Griffith actually *wrote* a teen storyline but ... he probably won't. I don't know if they'll ever address that Lucy's biomom was Daisy and her biograndmother is Sheila. I'm fine with Heather being the stepmom who raised Lucy, and Phyllis being the annoying grandmother, LOL.
