  1. Great job, thank you! Reading this dialogue reminds me why classic YR really stands the test of time - the writing was so exquisite
  2. yep, Nina Arvesen wanted to quit, it was the end of her 3-year contract. I always wonder if there was something going on BTS that made her leave... as Cassandra was set up for a major story. Within a year, Nina was back on another soap, Santa Barbara, which wasn't doing well at all in the ratings and was soon canceled. So something doesn't add up...
  3. The brunette is Brittany, George's niece. She came to Genoa City as an IRS auditor reviewing Jabot's files, and had interactions with Jack in the beginning. That ended after a few months and Brittany was solely featured in the Paul story. She fell in love with Paul and always supported him throughout the saga. Don't remember how she was involved with finding Cassandra's lover who was Adrian Hunter. Around the end of the storyline, the actress was taken off contract. She made a few more appearances to support Cassandra after the ordeal, and after that I think she disappeared without a goodbye (as happens quite often on this show) Amazing, these are real treasures! Thanks as always, Bundy1965 and BoldRestless Troubleshooting tip for those on a Mac: I downloaded these clips, which are .avi files but they wouldn't play on Quicktime Player, or in a Safari browser. They would play in a Chrome browser but freeze up every 15 seconds. I had success using a Firefox browser, they played no problem.
  4. I see that Tiny makes his debut on 1/24/88. He is credited as played by Joe Petrachek. Does anyone know if it’s the same actor playing Tiny when he returns in ‘89 and ‘90? When I google “Joe Petrachek” “The Young and the Restless”, literally nothing comes up. And googling “Tiny” “The Young and the Restless” doesn’t yield much either Get out of here!! The goodness never stops!
  5. Yes, you can view it in the Vault here: https://bit.ly/3kMIjRN Go into the Bold and Beautiful vault, Full Episodes, 1993. in this folder, look for the ep titled "1993-11-03 #1662". This is the first episode available with Scott. After you watch it, click into the folder for November, which has many more episodes with Scott and Catalina, starting with November 8. Enjoy!
  6. @BoldRestless - Thank you so much for your continued efforts to upload the German eps to Youtube! The majority of the eps, I can just scroll through and get the gist of what is happening. But there are some where I want to know more about what is said. Example: 2/2/87 – as I was scrolling through the scenes with Cricket and Nina, I wondered if Nina referenced what happened with Rose and her stolen baby. Watching through the scenes with the Youtube English subtitles gave me a better feel for what those scenes are about. (though I still don’t get who that lady is at 2/2/87 37:00… Danny says something in the subtitles about “Berlin”… that’s not the singer Terri Nunn of Berlin, is it…?) Super-excited for you to upload 12/29/87 to YT, as I want to understand more why Ashley changes her mind to marry Steven… even though she feels the “magic” with Victor, not Steven… and also 1/5/88, where she sees Victor one episode before marrying Steven!! What does she say to Victor…??
  7. @will81 - if you don't have already have this noted... I am scrolling through the final batch of German eps, and came across the English version of 12/24/87... with the heartwarming scenes of Nathan playing Santa for the shelter children (I may have shed a tear or two...) Anyway - was quite surprised to see Leo/Peter Parros volunteering along with Amy and Nathan at the shelter! I had assumed we had already seen the last of him.
  8. Looks like the final German ep might be 2/9/88...? A final THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Bundy1965!!
  9. Fantastic charts, thank you! FYI for May, Betsy is played by Conci Nelson (future Heather Stevens of 1994) and Mandy is played by future OLTL/GH star Tonja Walker
  10. I think we see Leo/Peter Parros again on 9/2/87, at 10:08, serving a drink to Phillip..? Check it out and see if you agree... it's literally for 2 seconds and you can't see his face straight on, so I'm not sure.
  11. The German eps are continuing into 1988!! 🤸‍♂️ Thank you so much Bundy1965
  12. @will81 fyi - Leo/Peter Parros' blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance I mentioned is in German ep 8/10/87
  13. FYI re: the exact airdates of the German '87 eps... I noticed for the ep "Nikki sees Victor and Ashley", the English version in the Vault was dated 5/28... but the German version is dated 5/27. I don't know which date is correct...? But when we reach June 16, when Phillip is arrested for drunk driving, the English version in the Vault and the German version are both dated June 16 so we're back in sync date-wise by this point.
  14. Thanks!! Haha had to laugh at you repeatedly refreshing the archive page... that's what I do every day with the Vault! 😆
  15. Confirmed that Nathan was on the Dec '86 New Year Eve's ep (don't know exact date) - he can be seen in clip 124 in the Vault during Gina's NYE party. In the SOD recap, his absence from Jan-Apr '87 is explained... Amy is sad because she hasn't heard from Nathan, only to find out that had gone off the grid to study for his diploma (which is a nice idea in theory to surprise her, but probably better if he had just told her what was going on...)
  16. I read it... on one hand, I was very impressed with how she moved on from such a horrific childhood. On the other hand,
  17. Seems like the show got rid of Colby Chester because they were gearing up for a big summer "quad" with Tim, Traci, Brad and Jill. Tim kisses Traci in April and Jill kisses Brad on June 16, in one of Brenda D's last eps. But by the end of June, Beth M has quit (leading the show, I assume, to let Scott Palmer go) and Brenda Dickson is fired. I'm guessing the writers then had to kill that whole story. I don't remember a romantic story with Jill and Brad once Jess W took over.
  18. Love that the German eps have the music performances in English! 3/27/87 has Danny and Lauren reuniting to sing "Higher Love". Yikes, if Steve Winwood saw this, he must have been grimacing. Somehow not matter how ear-splitting and out-of-harmony these performances are, I still love seeing them out of nostalgia, if nothing else. TEB looks straight-up uncomfortable, and she has said in interviews that singing was never her comfort zone. And poor LLB like always, is relegated to standing offstage, grinning and making googly-eyes.
  19. Thanks as always! Does anyone remember... I think the ep right after this one was on YT a few years back? In this Aug 2 clip, Lindsey references making dinner for Jack. In the ep I saw, Lindsey was cooking filet mignon or something like that, at her apartment, for Jack. There were also scenes with Ashley and Julia... Julia asked for a leave of absence so she could give birth in Paris. Ashley said no because there was too much work for Julia at Jabot Genoa City (Secretly Julia didn't want anyone to find out that Eric was the baby's father) Is this ep floating around anywhere?
  20. Thanks...wow, looks like most of the month of July was pre-empted...? This actually matches up with the SOD recaps, which I was recently reading... the recap in the 8/25/87 issue (recapping late July eps) is repeated in the 9/8/87 recap... I was wondering why, now it makes more sense.
  21. Just watched 1/7/88 and Cricket comments that she spent Christmas with cousin Joe... was that a return John Denos appearance the week of Christmas '87? Or just a throwaway comment... can't tell... Also on 1/7/88, Gina and Danny are in Gina's office, and she calls down to an off-screen "Nick" to ask for a pot of coffee... maybe since she is asking "Nick" for coffee instead of Leo, this implies that Leo is no longer around. That's right! I was a teen in summer '87 and definitely recall the soaps getting interrupted circa July timeframe... (my exact memory is Anne Heche's debut, sipping champagne in a bathtub on Another World, and having to wait awhile for the next ep) I just remembered Jason47's very detailed Days website and thought that would be a good cross-reference for which dates were pre-empted...http://www.jason47.com/days/preemptions.html... but interestingly he doesn't list any Days pre-empted dates in July other than July 3 for Wimbledon. I think in some cities, Days aired later in the day, like 3pm, vs YR which aired around 11 or 12, so maybe Days wasn't pre-empted as it aired after each day's Iran-Contra hearing.
  22. Leo/Peter Parros appears in vault clip 134 at 13:10, serving Douglas a mineral water. This is circa Aug '87... we'll have an exact date when the German eps reach August!
  23. Part of Carol’s magic was CT’s fabulous chemistry with TL’s Jack. Once PB took over, Jack and Carol were as strangers... Nonetheless, CT was a major talent who showed us her acting chops during the Nan story. She was worthy of continuing leading-lady stories and I’m still mad at the show for letting Carol just fade away.
  24. In the July 4 ‘91 ep, Carol joins the Abbott pool party and makes a reference to Skip and Skylar being unable to make it.
