I know why they eventually had to age/recast Joey with Nathan Fillion, but I'm liking the smartass-comic relief quality Chris McKenna had in 1991. I dunno, maybe I'm a softy for kid actors.

As Bobby's talking, we slowly pan over to family photos and mementos, things like a portrait of Gary & Val, one of Lillimae, a framed dust jacket of Capricorn Crude, a photo of Betsy, and most significantly, photos of Bobby taking his kids on their first walks into the ocean. I originally imagined this being how the first episode would end, but that would signify that the new show wouldn't be allowed to exist on its own, that it would always come back to the old show.

Thank you. I have to admit that I'm slightly surprised they never attempted to have all five characters in one episode.

She was a recurring character for nearly a year (specifically through Thursday, April 23, 1998), as opposed to the regular characters of Kristen and Susan. Thomas made his first appearance Friday, Dec. 19, 1997, wrapping Wednesday, Dec. 24. Penelope made her debut Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998, wrapping Thursday, April 16. (She'd already been killed off Friday, Feb. 20.) Also, for extra context, Kristen was introduced Monday, May 17, 1993, and Susan was introduced Monday, Nov. 4, 1996. Eileen's last day as Kristen and Susan (the first time around, that is) was Friday, April 24, 1998.

Daniel Avery, having walked out on his wife and family (like father, like son), returns to California. He picks up the pieces at and with the restaurant that was Daniel's during his infancy.

She certainly made the rounds on the NYC soaps. Also, as sweet as Max and Asa making amends is, I feel like they've been having variants of this scene for quite a while now.

Is Pamela Blair playing the female talk show host in the July 9, 1991 episode?

Apparently, it is possible with the use of a TV radio, something I had never heard of until recently.

Hopefully some of the Cobra plot will turn up next.

This week in 1968, it was announced that Disney had signed Michele Lee to two more movies after The Love Bug. One of them was to be "a big musical." I'm wondering if Michele was one of the women considered for Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

I was actually thinking about it in those terms, how it would have been interesting if characters had their own hues for their own flashbacks.
