  1. Damn these sweeps have been amazing!! Loving the twist of Ava having confessed to Ryan about killing Nikolas - I wonder how that’s gonna play out. That last moment of Esme in labor coming in the door straight into Laura’s arms was such a perfect beat. Also, the cynic in me thinks we’re not done with the Hook yet - they’ve built up way too much just for it to have been Heather all along.
  2. They keep on coming! At relatively short notice, Australia’s song has dropped this evening, and it’s Voyager, who came runner-up in last year’s Australian national final to Sheldon Riley. They’ve been internally selected this year to go to Liverpool with their song, “Promise”…
  3. And now we have La Zarra’s song for France, “Évidemment”…
  4. And now it’s Lithuania’s turn! Tonight in a somewhat surprise result, they selected 2015 representative Monika Linkytè in their national final with her song, Stay…
  5. Sadly no! My usual YouTube sources have sadly dried up on showing clips of them - I only tend to find anything in the Sprina or Vanna universes nowadays, and to be honest, those two are where most of the action is anyway.
  6. I didn’t watch Mello last night, in favour of Norway’s and Spain’s selections, but from the snippets I heard on SVT this week, I was honestly not that inspired. Let’s see what the next few weeks bring. And yes, I agree about Cornelia - she was my Eurovision top last year, and a prime example of when Sweden takes a risk on something other than the formulaic brand of pop that they’ve become renowned for. In the meantime, we got another THREE songs confirmed last night! First cab off the rank - Slovenia 🇸🇮! The previously-confirmed group Joker Out released their song and video clip for Carpe Diem officially yesterday evening… Next up, Norway 🇳🇴 held their final of Melodi Grand Prix, with Italian-born Alessandra Mele coming victorious in both the jury and televote with her song, “Queen Of Kings”… And last but certainly not least, Spain 🇪🇸 had their Benidorm Fest final where Blanca Paloma, who also competed in last year’s Benidorm but lost to Chanel, finally came out on top this year with her flamenco-inspired, “EaEa”…
  7. I just watched those scenes now, and I was completely riveted. A lot of us complain about the erratic writing on GH, but when it’s good, it’s GOOD. I loved seeing Nik’s face turn to abject horror as Spencer was basically reciting his confession back to him, with Laura just standing there not knowing WTF was going on. It’s a shame that Nik doesn’t seem much longer for this canvas, because I can fully buy Adam Huss’s portrayal hook line and sinker, and they could go so many places with this. That final scene of him showing up at Windermere was just chilling. And even with not that much to play, GF was an absolute star as always, particularly trying to console her son, and confused as to what had just gone down with Spencer. And speaking of Spencer, NAC just hit it out of the ball park yet again. He and Huss play off each other really well, and is another reason why I hope Nik stays on, somehow.
  8. Ireland has now chosen their song! In tonight’s special selection edition of the Late Late Show, indie band Wild Youth won by 2 points with their anthem We Are One, and will be off to Liverpool in May!
  9. This photo is EVERYTHING! Such a combo of (mostly) vets in this one image ❤️
  10. Folks we now have a logo *and* a slogan: United By Music! We also had the Semi-Final Allocation Draw last night, and here’s how it has panned out… Will also update the first post with all this info…
  11. The third song has now been chosen, along with the eighth artist! In a shocking nailbiter of a vote last night during Belgium’s Eurosong national final, Flemish singer Gustaph came almost from nowhere to beat former Eurovision contestant Tom Dice (part of the Starlings) by *one solitary point*. Below is Gustaph’s song that he will be performing in Liverpool in May…
  12. @Huntress I was actually at that very concert last November - the atmosphere in Ziggo Dome was *incredible*! Meanwhile, it looks like France has gone internal and already selected their artist! La Zarra will represent the Big 5 nation this year in Liverpool… https://eurovision.tv/story/la-zarra-will-represent-france-eurovision-2023 And in other news, the Semi-Final Allocation Draw and Handover Ceremony will be on January 31, hosted by Rylan and AJ Odudu! The slogan and look for the contest will also be revealed.
  13. The politics/soap crossover that no one asked for…
  14. This is one of the most adorable playlists… Ben/Callum cute moments, right from the very beginning…
  15. Not being really acquainted with earlier EastEnders, it was nice seeing what Kat was like back then.
  16. Another example of two somewhat significant events happening on the same day, especially seeing where Jason and Robin would end up within the next year…
  17. Ok, I was totally drawn in by this. Loving that Danny is back, and already interacting with so many other vets on the canvas. Ages ago, I came up with an alternative Danny return story, involving him coming back to Genoa City, and shocking everyone by telling them that he had married Patty offscreen (and she would come back on later). The amount of shockwaves it would cause right across the canvas would be insane…
  18. Been watching Ben/Callum clips on Youtube, including Ben’s rape and the long path back to them being reunited. Question I had though - I know Peter found out that Ben had attacked him, but did Peter ultimately find out that Ben had been raped as well? Sometimes hard to keep up with who knows and who doesn’t.
  19. I love that clip of Tracey, Danny and Lauren… when was the last time those three shared a scene together before this? And possible Danny and Cricket redux?
  20. And now Albania 🇦🇱 has chosen their song for Liverpool! In an unusual setup at this year’s Festivali i Këngës, the Eurovision entry was chosen in a 100% public vote completely separate from the jury ranking of the entries. And they have chosen Albina and Kelmendi Family with “Duje”…
  21. I could watch this clip over and over again. Never thought I’d see the day where both Brooke AND Taylor would kick Ridge to the curb AT THE SAME TIME! 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
  22. Peeps, national final season is underway and we already have our first known song for Liverpool! Ukraine 🇺🇦 has chosen Tvorchi with Heart of Steel via their Vidbir national selection tonight (which was held in a metro station/bomb shelter in Kyiv). Clip is below…
  23. To this day I can never get over how *perfect* the physical casting was for AJ and Jason in terms of Sean Kanan and Steve Burton, respectively.
