  1. Yes, and fellow NBC soap star Laryssa Lauret (TD) covered her natural long blond hair with that short brunette wig because she flat-out refused to dye it. The wig was a compromise, and in her case it worked out well.
  2. Rita and Norm are still happily married 40+ years later, and Norm pastors a Baptist Church in New Brunswick, NJ. I sent my copy of their book to them c/o the church, and they both autographed it for me. They have three grown kids and several grandchildren.
  3. Why couldn't they just have worn wigs?
  4. Agreed. He gives off a very skeevy vibe.

  6. All they needed was a flock of birds and it would have been perfect!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  7. He played a character named Mark Galloway, who was later played by a pre-James Steinbeck Anthony Herrera.
  8. I believe it was Rita Walter's choice to leave the show (and basically, show business altogether). She focused on her growing family and being a full-time minister's wife. The story of how Rita and Norm got together is very interesting. I would highly recommend their 1980 book, No Shadow of Turning. Long out of print, I'm sure it can be found through the library and/or used book outlets like Amazon. It contains quite a bit of ATWT anecdotes, such as the fact that Rita was apartment-sitting for Kathy Hays when she and Norm first met. Stephen Bolster, who wasn't on ATWT for long in the grand scheme of things, was there long enough to sense that his young co-star might just be a good match for the young, single pastor of the new church that he and his wife were members of. There is also a section of the book that touches on Norm's acting debut on the show - as the minister of Annie and Beau's wedding. He was so nervous and fumbled all over his lines in rehearsal, and was mortified when he mispronounced the bride's name during the taping, to the chagrin of director Len Valenta. But he got over it enough to "officiate" at several other weddings on the show, as well as being a sort of technical advisor over religious matters.
  9. That was from Christmas 1982. David and Ellen Stewart were getting remarried or renewing their vows, and Carol was there as a guest. After she and Steve divorced, she married a minister named Norman Frazier (played by Rita Walter's real-life husband, Rev. Norman Walter). He was the preacher who officiated the nuptials in this episode.
  10. Yes and yes, but I don't think either woman's full first name was ever revealed. You can get "Liz" and "Beth" from other names than Elizabeth. My own best friend was named Beth, but her full first name was Bethany. There's also Lizette.
  11. Thatโ€™s horrible. ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜‚
  12. Interestingly enough, Rita McLaughlin Walter (Carol) would name one of her daughters Amy in real life.
  13. My impression of his work on TD was for the most part no fair, no foul. He got the job done but didn't blaze any trails. Maybe if he'd had a strong co-HW, things could have worked out differently.
  14. Why did GL drop Bridget Reardon and not bring her back until the show's final weeks? One would think she'd be a viable part of the core of GL for years to come.
  15. It NEVER, EVER works!!!
  16. His hair wasn't curly on Reba, either.
  17. She forgives everyone? Say what???
  18. Did Mary O'Brien ever act again?
  19. Thatโ€™s 99.9% of Hollywood right there!!

  21. It's hard for me to see Chris Rich as anything but Reba McEntire's dolt of an ex-husband on her sitcom. ๐Ÿ˜จ
  22. She also played Jack Tripper's mom!! RIP.

  24. I don't know, but according to several ATWT cast lists, Jada Rowland played Susan while on a break from TSS. She's listed as playing the role from 1967-68, then Leslie Perkins in 1968, and finally Marie Masters in 1968. Sorry I don't have more definitive dates.
