ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Maylo Anderson (formerly McCaslin, Sally Taylor, SB, 1984-85), is now a yoga instructor in the Kansas City area: http://lifespringmedspa.com/staff/maylo-anderson/32557/ (Yes, she's the one who was formerly married to Willie Aames.) Stacy Sullivan (Bitty the Ballymoor maid, SB, 1992) turned back to her first love, music, many years ago. A trained soprano, she has released several albums - the latest, a tribute to Peggy Lee. She has a one-woman show singing Peggy Lee songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo8DoFJpg40 (More info on the SB thread.)

So sad, especially how soaps were their bread and butter for decades. It's an insult to not only the fans, but to the cast and crew on each of those soaps who worked so faithfully for P&G over the years. What I wouldn't give to hear Vicky Wyndham's take on this development. Then again, she's so many years removed from it she'd probably be indifferent to it now. Sad.

You're welcome. As I understand it, she wanted to concentrate on her music - recording and then touring. Stacy was on SB in 1992 - I think she even might have been on in the last episode. Turning back the hands of time, going back to the beginning of SB's run in 1984, Kelly and Joe had a true ally and friend in the form of La Mesa waitress Sally Taylor (Maylo McCaslin). Her last appearance was as a bridesmaid in Kelly and Joe's wedding in 1985. Maylo McCaslin went on to marry (and many years later divorce) Eight is Enough and Charles in Charge star Willie Aames. During their marriage, they co-authored a book called Grace is Enough and went on Today to promote it. Now Maylo goes by her newest married name of Anderson, is a yoga instructor, lives near her grown daughter in the Kansas City area, and seems to have no regrets leaving show biz behind. In the book, she didn't name names, but mentioned that while she was on SB, she was doing coke with one of the show's makeup people. She was able to get through her scenes fine and no one was the wiser. On her FB page, she had nothing but kind things to say about the two people she had the lion's share of her scenes with - Robin Wright and Dane Witherspoon. Maylo said they were both wonderful to work with and were very nice to her. She also said that Robin had that wild sense of humor even back in those days. Here's a review and cover art of the book. Sadly, it was not long after this book was published that Maylo and Willie's marriage fell apart. It's still an interesting read, however - especially how Maylo escaped from horrific neglect from her mother and sexual abuse from her mother's boyfriend. It's a miracle that she lived not only to tell the story, but how she went on to LIVE. http://www.titletrakk.com/book-reviews/grace-is-enough-review-aames.htm Here's her most recent bio as a yoga teacher: http://lifespringmedspa.com/staff/maylo-anderson/32557/ Here she is as Sally Taylor opposite Dane Witherspoon as Joe Perkins on SB, 1984: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS2It78v2Wg ...and here she is with now-former husband Willie Aames on TODAY back in 2008: http://www.today.com/id/22681734/ns/today-today_news/t/willie-aames-wards-demons-armed-robber/#.UxBLY50o5jo

Does anyone remember a short-lived character from around the end of the show's run named Bitty the maid? You can see her in this clip (from the beginning to about 0:30, 4:05 to 5:00, and again from about 1:45 to 2:17): Bitty was played by Stacy Sullivan, who is now pursuing her passion of music full-time. She has recorded several albums, the latest a tribute to Peggy Lee, of whom she does a one-woman show. Ms. Sullivan had this to say about her time on SB on her FB page: "Playing "Bitty" on Santa Barbara was a hoot! I booked the job when I had just given birth to my daughter, Savannah. Such a strange, wonderful year. I wish the show had lasted because the soap opera world fascinated me and I enjoyed getting a glimpse of their reality. Those actors were the hardest working lot I've ever known...basically a new play to memorize and perform every single day. Unbelievable." Stacy also mentioned about how her work on Santa Barbara led to her landing the role of Sissel on Christy: "'Sissel' was a role that was written for me by Pam Long, one of the head writers on the soap opera Santa Barbara, where we had worked together for a year. I adored the character and the actors on the show (Tyne Daly, Tess Harper, Kellie Martin... I felt like I had died and gone to heaven.) Shooting in the Smoky Mountains was remarkable. We were separated from the real world and sent back in time...it was all about the work, telling a story, making a difference. It was a perfect experience." Here she is singing the music of Miss Peggy Lee: I'm going to put all this in the "where are they now" thread, too...but I thought you guys would also find the post-SB connection between Stacy Sullivan and Pam Long interesting.

Nope, and the same goes for Jane Krakowski. It would be awesome to see them act in something together again. It seems they are both still primarily based in NYC.

"Secret Storm" memories.
I still giggle when recalling that the show was originally titled The Storm Within, but they had to change the name because an antacid company signed on as a major sponsor. That just strikes me as hilarious.

Speaking of Adam "Ryder" Storke, he's a guest on a Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode that just came on - from 2003. I recognized him right away.

Yes on both counts. She played Barney's daughter at the beginning of the show in 1975, but soon relocated to the East Coast and SFT from 1975-78.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Great to see she is still acting - despite the disparaging things ABC said in regards to her looks when she was on RH.

He doesn't look all that different than he did in his SFT days. I wonder if he and Jane K. are still in touch.

Law & Order: SVU - Discussion Thread
The only really good thing the show has going for it (IMHO) is the chemistry between Benson and Barba. I don't like romance or even hints of it on procedural shows, but they're my one exception. They're great friends, and have such a mutual trust and respect for each other. Not to mention that they have great sexual tension - and it's totally not there with Cassidy. When the show finally ends, and when Benson finally rides off into the sunset, I hope that Barba will be the one by her side. Other than that, I agree with everyone. Any edge the show once had is long gone - plus I miss Munch, his snark and his conspiracy theories. Thank goodness for reruns!!!

Yes, Kevin Conroy was the voice of Batman in the animated series!! Plus, he was a pretty hot guy. According to AWHP, his final airdate was 12/26/1980. I don't know if he was fired or not, but in any case, he wasn't out of work long. By March of 1981 he was starring in the Broadway production of Lolita (http://ibdb.com/production.php?id=4102).

Speaking of SB, here is a terrific recent podcast interview with A Martinez!! http://www.blogtalkradio.com/brandonsbuzz/2013/11/01/a-conversation-with-emmy-winning-actor-a-martinez Also, several months ago, Good Morning America reunited the cast of the 1988 movie Mystic Pizza (which starred a then-unknown Julia Roberts). Her love interest in that film was played by Adam Storke, who prior to that portrayed TR Kendall's (Jane Krakowski) doomed boyfriend, Andrew Ryder, on Search For Tomorrow. Here he is with the rest of the MP cast:

Wasn't Jackee Harry doing both AW and 227 at the same time? Then, when the traveling got to be too much (AW being filmed in NYC and 227 in LA), she sunk roots down permanently on the West Coast? The wonderful Petronia Paley is still busy acting, primarily on stage these days. Among the productions she starred in was an all African-American presentation of Death of a Salesman, playing Linda Loman to Avery Brooks' (Deep Space Nine) Willy Loman.

Love Is a Many Splendored Thing
This soap sounds so different from others, and yet compelling. Too bad there's next to nothing of it on YT. From a 1968 CBS soaps promo, it was funny for me to see Donna Mills as the innocent young wife afraid that her husband will stray - when she would achieve her greatest fame in the future as Abby Fairgate Cunningham Ewing Sumner on Knots Landing - the type of woman a husband would stray WITH. LOL

Yeah, the Blaine/Jerry story is really good. Was this the start of changing Blaine gradually from villainess to heroine? I like Charlie, too. The last time I saw his portrayer, Fred J. Scollay, was in a rerun of L&O where he played a judge. That was probably in the first or second season.

How about that picture? She looks as fantastic as ever!! Her on-screen husband, Richard Eden (Brick Wallace), attended the Hollywood premiere of the new Robocop movie last week with his wife. Most of you will remember that Richard played the role in the 1994-95 syndicated series. Here he is interviewed on the red carpet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZMXygTCp5A Here's a photo of Richard and Shannon (his wife) on the red carpet: http://www.contactmusic.com/photo/shannon-hile-richard-eden-premiere-of-columbia-pictures-robocop-red_4062224
