  1. Way too rare!!! That was vintage soap at its best.
  2. I wonder what Joanna Miles was like on AMC. I loved her Emmy-winning turn as Laura Wingfield in The Glass Menegerie, which aired on ABC in 1973.
  3. From what I read, Lee was high on LSD and crashed her car. I don't know if it was Rodell's choice to leave or not. She was actually the second actress to play Lee. Gaye Huston originated the role in 1964 and played it until 1967, which is when Rodell stepped in. She stayed until Lee was killed off in 1969. http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/1lee.html
  4. What a treasure!! Thanks for posting it. 😊
  5. Here's some interesting trivia for those of you who may not know - Lynne Adams' real-life brother-in-law is none other than Tony Shalhoub (Monk, Wings). Tony is married to Lynne's sister, actress Brooke Adams.
  6. @vetsoapfan, you said it all. 👏👏👏👏👏
  7. Thanks. It seems that John Aniston didn’t truly come into his own until he went to DAYS and became Victor Kiriakis.
  8. How long did the Pollocks write for the show?
  9. Didn’t EDGE do a story based on the DB Cooper mystery, or am I thinking of another show?
  10. I'm the complete opposite. Every single time, I've heard "Yanny".
  11. I wish the commercials of today were as interesting and fun as the ones of yore. Who didn't love the hokey but fun coffee ads, like for Brim?
  12. That I don't know. At least the actress wasn't out of work for long, as she landed EDGE in short order. What was the reaction of the Jo/Martin pairing? He was younger than she, did all sorts of shady things and just didn't seem like a good match for her at all. Plus, poor John Aniston had to speak with that awful fake Southern accent for years on end (immediately following three years of playing an Italian or Latin character on Love of Life). Thank goodness he has not had to speak with an accent in his signature role, Victor on DAYS.
  13. Thanks for sharing that. I'm glad Ana is well and happy, and I wish her nothing but the best.
  14. I read about the fire storyline. Martin (John Aniston) fell asleep with a lit cigarette in his hand. The owners of the building were also cutting corners, which made the place all the more dangerous.
  15. Plus, from all I've read, there was no love lost between Lemay and Val Dufour (Walter). Dufour then went on to SFT and won an Emmy before his character there was killed off as well.
  16. I wish Sherry had cut albums so we could still have more of that gorgeous voice to hear and enjoy. I'm shocked that she didn't become a huge Broadway musical star. Thankfully, SFT realized how truly multifaceted a performer she was and wrote towards it.
  17. It's so funny...I have never seen this show because I don't have Netflix (or the $$$ to subscribe to it). I found out that my library system has the first two seasons on DVD, so I placed holds on both of them. The first season DVD just arrived today, so I will share my thoughts once I watch it.
  18. Are you freaking KIDDING ME??? Excuse me while I go vomit. Getting back to his press conference, ahem, turning himself in, what a smug, arrogant, unrepentant %#@$&^*€£!!!! I can only hope that if he ever gets jail time that fellow inmates teach him a few lessons he'll never forget. I can dream, because if he ever does go to the slammer, it will be a minimum security palace and he'll be in solitary. 😠😠😠😠😠
  19. I remember that cover. So sad...😢
  20. Speaking of the Uber thing, look what happened not too far away from where I live: https://www.google.com/amp/s/articles.cleveland.com/akron/index.ssf/2018/05/tallmadge_man_sentenced_for_se.amp
  21. This disturbing story happened in my own backyard, in the Cleveland suburbs: https://www.google.com/amp/s/articles.cleveland.com/akron/index.ssf/2018/05/tallmadge_man_sentenced_for_se.amp
  22. UGGGGH. I didn’t think any episode could annoy me more than Barba's exit, but this one did. Can we have ONE season finale that doesn't involve a hostage situation and/or shooting? The only good thing was the all too brief appearance of Carolyn McCormick as Dr. Olivet. Why isn't Ice-T/Fin the star of the show? I know I am not the only one sick of "The Saint Olivia Hour". I want to know what Fin has on Chief Dodds that they've been hinting at all season. I can only hope that Season 20 is better than what we've gotten the past few years, but I'm not holding my breath. Mariska just has way too much power and she's taking the show down with her. 😠😠😠😠😠
  23. Actually, the minister was played by Judith Barcroft's father, who was an Episcopal minister in real life. At one point, he served at St. Thomas Episcopalian Church in NYC.
  24. In my case, the man was almost 60 and over 20 years older than I when he pounced. There was no way I could have kept up with him...his sexual appetite was that voracious. So these MF allegations are not surprising to me. Disappointing, because his low-key, wise and gentle persona seems to be just that - a persona, but not surprising.
  25. How many more of these accusations will it take for things to finally change? (It's a rhetorical question.)
