  1. I wonder why they didn't write Frank out at the same time. It didn't really make sense for them to have a long-distance marriage.
  2. Here's an interesting op-ed from Deadspin about how Temple basically looked the other way: https://www.google.com/amp/s/deadspin.com/how-temple-helped-normalize-bill-cosby-after-he-sexuall-1825710131/amp
  3. To me, all of the ABC anchormen of that time (Jennings/Koppel/Gibson) gave off an almost asexual vibe.
  4. I never got the skeevy vibe from him that I did from Matt Lauer, but of course YMMV.
  5. @Khan, you hit the nail right on the head. I know we will never know the whole story about their marriage, but I will never understand why she never left him. She could have been set for life. Why did he have to drug women and knock them out to get turned on? There would have been (and surely were) groupie-like women who would have willingly gone to bed with this rich and famous celebrity. He is a sick, twisted and evil man, and for enabling him, the Mrs. isn't much better.
  6. There's still no excuse for such a minimalistic ending. The cancellation was announced 9 or 10 months before the finale aired...plenty of time to do things right. GL had less time than that, and for all the mistakes Ellen Wheeler made, she still got many former stars back for the last episodes. AW had mere weeks to wrap things up, so I can forgive them for everything except the gorilla. Chris Goutman really dropped the ball...or globe? Anyway, I found the clip of Don Hastings and Kathy Hays being honored at the 1998 SOD Awards - complete with a video tribute by their castmates!! Kathy had just recently celebrated her 25th anniversary on the show. Pure class all the way. ❤ Nope, not one nomination. However, she did get a Primetime Emmy nomination for her guest spot on the original Star Trek.
  7. She and Don Hastings were honored with the SOD Editors' Award in 1998.
  8. Like Weinstein earlier this week, Charlie Rose is being sued: https://www.google.com/amp/variety.com/2018/biz/news/charlie-rose-lawsuit-three-accusers-1202798839/amp/
  9. She thinks denial is a river in Egypt.
  10. It will probably happen in the new season. The episode from the other night was clearly based on the Turpin case.
  11. I love that picture of Susan Lucci and Francesca James. 😊❤
  12. LD played a college student in an episode on L&O who was raped by a rock star. The rock star was played by Sebastian Roche, later of GH. She did a credible job, though I thought her character was more annoying than sympathetic.
  13. That figures. Had they been able to bring back the character of Iris, I wonder who would have played her. Beverlee was retired and living in CA, and I think Carmen was back in Australia at that time.

  15. Did they ever even reference him again? OK, I know they did years later on ATWT, but since that's not AW it doesn't count.
  16. I've always wondered why Jamie was never brought back after 1993.
  17. I am, too. I certainly wouldn't put such behavior past him.
  18. That may have been why John Littlefield (Gary) had been let go. Then the cancellation came, and he ended up staying till the end.
  19. I still cringed at the choice of music with them making out..."Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon". 😨
  20. Very good points. Was the year the show was broadcast on the CW the same year the venue was in Vegas?
  21. To me, Amanda and Matt were/are Sandra Ferguson and Matt Crane. Period.
  22. It's well past time that R. Kelly gets what he's had coming. I hope Shonda and the movement are successful.
  23. Gil seemed a much better fit in sci-fi/action fare than soaps.
  24. How soon after Taylor Miller was killed off of AW was she back on AMC?
