  1. I'm sure Ellen Holly did, too. How was the character of Jack killed off?
  2. According to Gerry Waggett's Soap Opera Encyclopedia, Peter Galman played Tom from 1969-1973.
  3. I didn’t, but it should be up on CBS' website as well as their On Demand.
  4. Wasn't the character of Jack Scott killed off? How did it happen?
  5. Talk about going out with a whimper!
  6. I know LC did. She mentioned it in a SOD article about her most memorable moments as Monica (say that three times fast), saying that she got a lot of tension out that day!!!
  7. How long did Eric last on the show? What ultimately happened to him?
  8. OK. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Did the audience back then dislike Arthur Burghardt/Jack as much as Ellen Holly and several other cast members did?
  9. Thanks! Of course, both the nursery accident and waterfront stalking would be seen several months later in the 35th anniversary primetime special. Stuart Damon gave hilarious commentary.
  10. OK, that makes sense. Thanks.
  11. Interestingly enough, Gerald Gordon appeared on all three soaps that debuted on April 1, 1963. He was in the original cast of Ben Jerrod and over a decade later went to ABC to play Dr. Mark Dante on GH. In between the two, of course, he found his greatest fame on TD as Dr. Nick Bellini.
  12. That's him!! He was the Tom who married Carol.
  13. You may be thinking of Diana, who was played in 1978 by The Doctors alum Marie Thomas (Lauri James Iverson, 1972-75). I don't know if he had any other love interests at that time, because I believe Carla and Ed were always meant to be endgame.
  14. Yes, C. David Colson and David Cherrill the soap writer are one and the same. His wife's name is Cherrill (nee Wilcox), so he used David Cherrill as an alias after he left acting for writing.
  15. Yes!! That's the scene I meant. Thanks for posting it. I know I saw it as a flashback. I believe it was in the 1997 episode where Alan and Monica looked back, reminiscing on their "crappy anniversary". (Which also commemorated Leslie Charleson and Stuart Damon's 20th anniversaries on the show, if I'm not mistaken.) Which year did this scene take place, exactly? I've said it before but it's worth repeating...GH shot itself in the foot big time by getting rid of Stuart Damon, and over a decade later, I still haven't forgiven TIIC. I loved Alan and the way Mr. Damon played him. Alan and Monica were probably the hottest couple in GH history. (Forget Luke and Laura...they didn't even come close!) Their chemistry was off the charts, yet there was real love there as well. They were made for each other.
  16. Her character was named Courtney Wright, and was on OLTL from 1983-84.
  17. She also had an affair with Tom Hughes, Carol's first husband. Does anyone know why Judith Chapman did not reprise the role when Natalie was brought back in 1981 or so?
  18. I do think that the Randolphs renewed their vows at some point because I've seen a couple of photos of John and Beverly's Pat in wedding finery. Would anyone remember which year that was, or thereabouts?
  19. Thank you for sharing all that. I love it!! I do remember seeing a scene from the early 1980s of Alan and Monica in marriage counseling, bopping each other with these Nerf-like things. Hilarious!! 😂
  20. I don't know if she's the same character you're talking about, but Marie Thomas (Lauri James Iverson, The Doctors, 1972-1975) was on OLTL in 1978 as Diana, who became involved with Ed.
  21. I didn't even know that Petronia was on OLTL.
  22. How long did it take before the Qs became generally a comedic family?
  23. Wasn't that entire Eric Kane story considered a dud?
