  1. SBH is active on FB, and she always has interesting memories to share of her soap days (and that of her husband, Patrick Horgan, best known for The Doctors). Whoever puts these chats together should definitely seek her out. P.S. Maybe this is just the cynic in me talking, but am I the only one who is surprised that AP and TC are still married given the scandalous way they got together?
  2. A telegram and glass punch bowl would have to be included. 😉
  3. Right! Roseanne Conner wasn't the type to just up and leave her family. A coma isn't an option because it would make it seem like the character could be revived. Killing her off is the only realistic way to go.
  4. Shades of Steve Urkel - I'm shocked that ATWT never introduced Henry's suave alter ego, Stefan Urquelle. 😨 Trent Dawson had good chemistry with the cast and played comedy very well. He was/is a character actor - not a romantic leading man, and it was a mistake to try to make him into one. At least they didn't ask the audience to buy that Lucinda was his biological mom. 😉
  5. He wasn't on at the very beginning, but joined a few months into the show's run when Pat needed a lawyer. But he was definitely the show's longest-running performer by the time his final episode aired in March 1979.
  6. Cleveland Radio Tales by Mike & Janice Olszewski
  7. One actor who did join the cast was AW alum David Ackroyd. He had guested a few times on Dallas as Gary Ewing, and had offers for two series come his way at the same time. One was for Little Women, and the other was for a Dallas spinoff. The rest is TV history. David Ackroyd chose Little Women, which was cancelled after only a handful of episodes had aired, and Ted Shackelford ended up playing Gary Ewing on Knots Landing for 14 years!!!
  8. I remember seeing the episode from 1981 where Doug and Julie remarried, and SR was indeed listed in the credits as Suzanne Rogers Groom. The episode was removed from YouTube ages ago - dang it!!! 😠 Did she ever work in soaps again? Re: Little Women...not that I am defending her, but when NBC made it a series, they had to make do without Susan Dey, Meredith Baxter (who at the time was committed to Family on ABC) and William Shatner. I don't recall who replaced them, but apparently they were not memorable. I don't think it had a good timeslot, either.
  9. I'm glad the jobs of many are still intact, and the show should still be interesting going ahead. Since Darlene will be the focus, why not name the show Darlene?
  10. C'Mon, Get Happy by David Cassidy
  11. How long a gap was there between Loughlin's and Emerson's Jodys?
  12. Thanks! Love him or hate him, you can't deny that Lipton has had a very interesting and varied career.
  13. Speaking of Bob Woods, I wrote to him recently and just this week I got his reply. Not only did he sign the pictures I sent, he sent along six more pictures (all signed) from his own collection and a lovely handwritten note. I will have to have them posted up here soon. One of the photos was of his surprise 70th birthday party in March. Posing in the picture with him were his son Tanner (who played the young Bo heading off to Vietnam in the 1968 story from 2008), Mark Derwin, Michael Easton and Peter Bergman. Mr. Woods said in the note that while he is enjoying retirement, he still really misses OLTL.
  14. This morning, I turned on the radio to my favorite news/talk/sports station. During their top of the hour news report, they mentioned Laura Ingraham likening these child internment camps to "summer camp". I literally screeched, "WHAT????" Talk about clueless. I can only wonder what would be happening now with this whole mess had Melania and Ivanka not applied pressure. He should have just stuck to The Apprentice if he wanted to play God.
  15. What was the final soap that Lipton wrote for?
  16. That sounds like a great scene. Is it up on YouTube? This was before I started watching, but didn't the show at some point in the mid-1990s hint at pairing Bobbie with Alan? I'm glad that ultimately didn't happen. Imagine the backlash!!! GH really had very interesting and strong women who despite less than savory circumstances, became heroines and integral to the fabric of the show. You had Jessie, Audrey, Lesley, Monica, Bobbie, Laura and Anna to name a few. In recent years, the only female character who has really fit into that category is Robin. Carly and maybe Sam could have been like that had the writing been better and the characters not shoved down the viewers' throats day after day. But that's a different post for another day.
  17. If the bad relationship included abuse of any kind (sexual, emotional, physical or a combination thereof), that's one thing. If the boyfriend was merely a jerk, than it does undermine what the #MeToo movement is supposed to be about.
  18. I hope so, too. I feel really bad for Heather and her family.
  19. Thanks. Were he and Carla still married at the time?

  21. Heather Locklear is in trouble again...you have to wonder how many wake-up calls may be left here. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.yahoo.com/amphtml/entertainment/heather-locklear-hospitalized-threatening-kill-reports-175553304.html
  22. OK, I didn't know all that. Thanks!!
