Her first stint as Rosanna is still the best and my most favorite era of her career. I also think that’s when both Cady and her hair looked the best. She was great as Dixie, but that character had become thoroughly exhausted by Cady’s second stint. Cady also looked so bored and unhappy playing Dixie by that point. Her first stint as Rosanna made me realize she could be a really great actress. I’d go as far to say she’s the only ABC transplant that worked on CBS during that era. Happy that she finally gets to originate a soap role.

Sheila's existence is ridiculous at this point, especially her working at budget Olive Garden.

But again, that is not a healthy relationship or sustainable way to live. Who's to say another affair that wasn't Haley wouldn't have caused him to leave? They would be living in denial, which is not a solid way to live. Haley was just the straw that broke the camel's back in that marriage. For now at least.

Or Nicole or Dani have a male twin that was stolen at birth and raised on the other side of the gates...

Before settling down with Vernon, Anita slept her way through the entire Dupree family, including with family patriarch Paul Cheeks Dupree ala Reva Shayne. 😛

They could always say Vernon has an older son from a previous marriage/relationship that lives away from the community currently. He does look quite a bit older than Anita (but that doesn't matter on soaps as we've seen). However, they'd need to do that very soon (as the show is new) and establish that quickly for it to make sense.

But that wasn’t a good/solid marriage at all. She had to have known blindly turning the other way for years was going to eventually result in something disastrous. She was in love more with the idea of her marriage than the actual state of her marriage. She was willing to go along with the facade just as long as Bill stuck with her, but he ultimately left her.

At the same time, Bill was the older man in a position of power over Haley. He knew about her insecurities and the fact that she didn’t have any stability or family in her life. He used that as his way in as powerful men who cheat often do. Dani and Bill’s marriage was already broken before Haley. The fact Dani was willing to overlook his other affairs because they were kept away from her house says it all really. She seems most hurt in this case because Bill actually left her for Haley, and yes, because she treated Haley as family and got punched in the gut with this betrayal.

Dani, I think, is more upset that Bill actually left her for his side piece thus breaking the facade of their life and marriage together. It was all about keeping up appearances for her. But, in a way, it seems that’s nothing new for the Dupree’s. Anita and Vernon are merely keeping up appearances and trying to salvage Martin’s reputation (whatever it is that he did) by forcing their whole family to attend this trifling wedding, lol.

All of the entities have representation - CBS, P&G, and the NAACP. Because it’s a joint venture with all those properties, they each have executives with EP credits. Sheila Ducksworth is in charge of the CBS/NAACP joint venture, so that’s her EP credit. Michele and Guza seem to have it written into their contracts, so they’re more on the creative side. Michele’s naturally makes sense since she’s the creator of the show and the HW. Julie Hanan Carruthers gets an EP credit because she’s the main producer in charge of the actual day to day production. It’s not a typical model, but I think because so many parties came together to produce this show, the credits are atypical.

Ashley and Derek = Zzzzzzzzzzzzz At least Derek has a nice butt, that’s the positive.

Ashley and Derek continue to be as interesting as watching paint dry. Thank goodness they aren’t doing that much in this episode. Even with small amounts of dialogue, Ben Gavin is so bad.
