  1. With P&G back in the soap and production content business, it may be a good time to revisit a revival of The Edge of Night. True crime and crime procedurals have a huge market for them. It would be interesting to have a soap again where the focus is more so on crime and mystery than just simple domestic drama. It doesn’t even have to be a true reboot - call or something else or use the EON name and have it set somewhere else. I just think the premise would be a lucrative one in today’s world.
  2. They also had to build everything out from scratch as it was a completely new studio that they inherited. I think, over time, a lot of the kinks will be finessed to a more cohesive look and feel. Most new daytime soaps that have launched have had to deal with this. BTG's situation is unique in that most of the production crew didn't work on soaps in LA or NYC, so they are looking at things from a slightly different lens - which isn't bad, and makes the show more unique than the standard fare we've had for years on daytime.
  3. In term of sheer charisma, Trisha Mann-Grant has it in spades and more than most of the relative unknowns in the cast. She's a find so far and I am really looking forward to her developing this character.
  4. He really is, and the actor is beyond limited. Something about his line delivery feels so unnatural.
  5. I thought KM was hilariously bad during the crying scene in the elevator while Dani was leaving Bill’s office. Sometimes less is more, especially when playing a character that’s so extra.
  6. If BTG overtakes GH in its first month and sticks there, ABC needs to make sweeping changes at GH. Frank Valentini and the writers need to be fired immediately.
  7. I wonder if another inmate will exclaim “Welcome to BEHIND THE BARS!” and snap. Karen Huger Sentenced to 2 Years in Prison After DUI but Will Only Serve 1 Behind Bars
  8. P&G is fully involved and supportive of this soap. Daphnee was invited to and spoke at the TIME Woman of the Year Gala at P&G’s behest. https://www.instagram.com/share/BAIy2TbFQA
  9. That’s right girl, flip that freshly French silk pressed hair!
  10. We’ve surpassed the GH monthly thread, and BTG is live for just one week in February, lol
  11. Leslie wants that assistant’s job to get close to Ted and work her way into his life to seduce him. Fatal Attraction!
  12. Dani said that in the first episode - she overlooked his other affairs because they were kept away and didn’t happen under her nose with someone she trusted (like Haley).
  13. She just has boring/bland white girl screen presence and energy like Willow and Sasha on GH.
  14. Jen Jacob may have been decent in other roles, but she lacks charisma and screen presence. That’s partly what makes her scenes tough to watch. Hoping she improves over time, but if she doesn’t, time to recast or write this character and her poorly acted boyfriend out! The Andre actor may be green as well, but he does have a lot more going for him when it comes to charm and charisma.
  15. I’m getting more of a fatal attraction vibe from Leslie. She’s using Eva and her friendship with Ashley to worm her way into Dr. Ted’s family and inner circle. Ashley’s mother apparently worked for the Dupree’s and she grew up around them and has their respect as well. Leslie could have more of a history with Ted and his family though, we’ll see. But I think, ultimately, she’ll seduce him, then become obsessed with him, and try to steal Nicole’s life.
  16. Not only that - his actual start was in the P&G writers program in the late 90’s just before he landed on Passions. He always wanted to be a soap writer it seems.
  17. I hope the next episode doesn’t end with another public outburst from Dani.
  18. Is Leslie gonna go all Glen Close in Fatal Attraction?
  19. This endorsement means a lot to MVJ. Liz’s rape on GH was the story MVJ was most proud of contributing to and writing key scene for. She and Rebecca Herbst became close IRL through this story, and MVJ has said she used it as therapy to help her heal from her own rape.
  20. I say send their asses to boarding school abroad for a long time.
  21. MVJ is definitely using her years of writing for Brooke Logan as a resource here!
