  1. Which would be a first. Not that I hate on its average of 100 pages. I agree with that. Kat vs Eva is the gift that keeps on giving. And I feel unless the actresses decide to leave, we will be getting it for a good long time. Both continue to give layers...which is farther than just about a boy. And as of right now, they seem to be the only characters...at least for me...that give shades of gray to them...something I am feeling the show is starting to stray away from and part of the reason I liked the show. Note...I STILL love this show, but just saying. :) I agree on Anita, too. I definitely want more from her. And I do wonder if she is planning something for SPS herself since she mentioned that SPS is being very closely watched. Otherwise...as much as I like their chemistry...I have started to think that it's time Anita had her own self-made rich rival. The Barbara link between Anita and SPS was genius, but I feel that SPS should be more of a constant rival for Nicole than for her. In spite of the nouveau riche vs old money angle the show could and should bring to a rivalry between Anita and SilkPress. A self-made rich rival (with a past with Vernon) played by Victora Rowell or Anna Marie Hosford perhaps? Another thing I love about this show has been its supporting/B characters. It really reminds me of old school Y&R. And I continue to love that. They have more potential and a vibe of life to them that I just love. Shoutout to Miguel, Lynne, Esther (who is still around), Mary, and Sasha, etc. GH used to have the same in 90s (Regnald, Leticia, Sonny's old set of bodyguards pre-Max/Milo) so I really like we have Shanice, Laura, the Have-Nots, Gossip Busybody Lady, Marcel, etc. Speaking of my Have-Nots, I am fingers crossed on that. That's how those scenes feel and the presence of Laura in story really feels like it will happen. I hope I am not wrong. Jan doing all this apologizing for Silk Press Sheila only for SPS to be exposed in front of the whole town...with Mona in attendance would be DELICIOUS. I too have wondered about more Have-Nots around. It is almost surprising that they have played more of the Ashley/Eva connection since the show started with them with the Have-Nots as well. Oh...you think the writers let Chelesa recover too quickly? I stay on the fence about that. I thought RR did a great job with the post-kidnapping scenes, but I guess it has glided on past me once she confronted Allison at Jacob's desk and did that video online. That said...I do like Laura still dealing with it and standing up for herself. I do wonder where they will place her after Winterfest is done since they mentioned she broke up with the man she was all about before the accident.
  2. Very. I was so not shocked to see them in the next week promo at all. My opinion on Ted since the recast has always been MVJ wants a traditional soap triangle between Nicole, him, and SPS which is not the vibe the original Ted gave when he was in scenes with SPS. NuTed always had that vibe. Not helped by having more POV with him and SPS than him and Nicole. Worse...if Nicole is truly moving on...it just seems like they do want a relationship between Ted/SPS where he's the straight man reacting to her craziness. So far...I continue to see it happening. It's just a matter of when. Keith doesn't play firm boundaries when it comes to Ted and SPS at all.
  3. Perhaps Jacqueline will find a way.
  4. Starting the episode with a wet Finn with Steffy, Katie with Bill, and even young love with Will and Electra...not bad.
  5. Hehe. Tbf, Crooked Cop has wanted a piece of SPS since he first laid eyes on her from across the room when Jacob and Kat were onto SPS. Another case of the writers foreshadowing that he and SPS would have scenes at some point.
  6. I would blame it on business of the holiday and/or work though the show has stalled a bit in the last couple of weeks.
  7. So true. Some of those names showed me when I was younger by how they would be on tv movies or Lifetime playing against type. RIP EAST NEW YORK.
  8. Well Michael Easton has already been teasing online so...
  9. Your love for Laura is how my love for her and Liz is so you are not alone on that. I've been catching up and I love how involved she's has been the last few weeks. As she should be.
  10. I totally agree. lol. SK has definitely had some more of Deacon's swagger when he's with RB's Taylor. Of course, it's not KA, but those two have had me come around to them. You know Sheila is a ticking time bomb.
  11. I feel that as well. I also would add that for some of the older soap fans, it's been so long since a soap has truly given it like the soaps of old...and being used to the pacing of today and shows like Empire and Tyler Perry's that they are out of practice so they might be impatient right along with the newer fans. I know I've been saying this a lot the last few days in the Y&R and GH thread, but it is really a compliment to the acting that I love the actress playing Eva, but I no longer like Eva as a character...outside of the start of her and Izaiah. She's truly her mother's daughter. But that's good because Kat vs Eva is a great rivalry and while it's not perfect, it is most definitely messy and continues to have legs...a happy accident (like Dani/Andre was in the main story of Dani/Bill/Hayley) in the main storyline of Silk Press Sheila. You know you hit gold when the audience is not only engaged, but they are evenly divided on whom side they are on. I have noticed what appear to be slight story shifts going on since Thomson came on. And one of them does appear like Tomas is being more background in that storyline while Kat and Eva appear to be more around Izaiah. Perhaps it will finally be phased out if not pulled out of that orbit.
  12. I haven't started this past week yet, but I did roll my eyes at Luna managing to escape cuz...WHY??? They really ran out of things to write for her didn't they? I do admit that I don't mind the Spencers being the focus of story for the moment. It's a nice change of pace. While I think Carter/Daphne are cute, it is sad to see Carter back in C PlotLand. For me...outside of Sinn and enjoying the new sets, the only thing holding my interest completely has been Taylor/Deacon/Sheila.
  13. Well when villains don't get some form of comeuppance, soap audiences tend to complain about it. That was the very nature of those arcs on soaps so the villains could even stay around on canvas. We saw them scheme. We saw them get smug. We saw them set up for the fall. And then we saw them exposed (at an event in front of the whole town). We saw them become the pariah. And if the acting is right, we saw them become the underdog in some cases. Or put in jail/ran out of town otherwise. If not killed. The best ones also had a trump card that would either lead to redemption of some sort...or for them to start the cycle again.
  14. Especially not the father of her kids. VERY telling.
  15. 11-14 See? That was a good pivot. I was just saying that a few months ago that since I got back to regularly viewing, GH had a thing going on where they would do the shift between their storyline focus and be able to do it in such a way, that they did not lose their momentum. At all. And it was great. Until it wasn't. And honestly, it seem to happen with the start of the Britt/Nathan returns. Thankfully, Monica's death (rightfully) overtook those storylines. I love that since that storyline ended, it has that rhythm again. Starting with Ned's heart attack, it's been just grooving along again. I had really been enjoying Ned's increased presence. I really loved him getting close to Gio. So I was sad at his attack (is there anything Wally can't do?). And the fallout has been great to watch as well. And I liked how that story connected to the Gio/Emma/Teens storyline to break into the Professor's office. And WOW how that storyline is snowballing. It shows how connected Rocco is, too. I was not expecting him to get in trouble. Nor was I expecting him to wind up in court with NO BAIL. Sonny. Dante. Lulu. Britt. LAURA. It affects everybody. Well, a lot of people I care about at least. lol. I do want more of Dante/Lulu dealing with it, but I love how Laura is involved cuz I was just mentioning how light Laura's appearances have been, and those have been mucha ado about nothing. 'Til now. Erza's still a thorn in her side. Now the Professor. And I like how Gio/Emma are involved, giving them a story within the story as well. And lest forgotten, this Rocco storyline also lightly touches on Sonny vs Sidwell so... ...seeing a pattern here with each story connecting in some way or the other all of a sudden? Cuz Sidwell continued to intrigue. And I found Britt more suited for her alliance with him (and that brief scene with Nathan at the police station) than whatever propping they been doing with her since she came back to PC with Jason. I saw a little piece of who she was so while I hate the Rocco angle of her return, a start. And I'm not liking the angle of Lucas moving in with him and Marco...okay, I am...but it seems like Carly's Revenge...which I was looking forward to...is going to be a slow (not a slow burn) storyline so le sigh. Speaking of Sonny... ...he just made Portia's life so much messier...and it was ALREADY MESSY. lol. So Alexis knowing she might be a suspect in Drew's shooting and having Felicia on the case = love. Now THAT is a slow burn. Involving a lot of characters I like, too. I liked Stella figuring it out and being...well Stella...with Curtis. I shook my head at how gullible Curtis is at Portia's hesitation to say she's preggers. I loved Trina reading Jordan down. And at some point...Portia is going to realize she's a target, too? This group hasn't been this interesting in a minute. MORE PLEASE. Speaking of the shooting... ...THEY ACTUALLY LET WILLOW OUT??? Who I still think is the shooter. And just look at the sass and shade she gave Jacinta when she saw her with Michael and Wiley. But she's just nice and sweet and innocent??? That bitca is CRAY-CRAY!! I expected more from BLQ when she finally got a clue about Chase being around Willow, but a good start. I think what I like best about all of the above? They all flow into each other and back, showing how they connect. I don't even think the writers meant for the umbrella effect of it all. But if they did, well-played. I'm either interested or intrigued at all parts. I think the only thing that is bothering me is the lack of Liz and how Nathan's storyline has just stalled. Honorable mention to Anna's disappearance, but heck...Dante as Commissioner which gives him more story...YES, PLEASE. I too liked the Sonny/Ric scene. And a nice Friday cliffhanger with Rocco in handcuffs.
  16. Well, darn, Trina! YOU...BETTA...READ.
  17. Agree. I can't even keep up.
  18. Same. Cuz CBS STILL hasn't given a reason for their repeats. The audience only know because it was spilled by everyone BUT CBS who apparently can't do PR to save their lives.
  19. 11-21 Well let me get the bad out of the way since I saw how that Cane/Giggly Heffa episode ended, and I admit that was enough of a cliffhanger (in walked Lily) to keep viewing as background music until I got to the Chris/Danny wedding. Sold on Lucas Adams as Noah. I felt a way when it was announced, but there's nothing I've seen of him so far that makes me not see Noah. Good on him. And we know I'm living for Tamara Braun as Sienna. And...as for Roger...well like BF as Cane...I found that I liked his Matt vs Sharon (even if I found SC to be overacting which I'm not used to from her) scene even if he had some Todd/Franco moments. But like BF as Cane...the story is a NO for me. So we are doing Holden/Claire which looks more like a triangle with Audra than Kyle. Okay. Serves Kyle right. I think I like Cane/Giggly Heffa in a hatred kinda of way and because I live for Lily vs Giggly Heffa. But again...eh on the storyline. I guess it could intrigue due to the chemistry between the actor and actress. I'm all for seeing Josh Morrow's arms even if I don't like that short-sleeved hoodie. Good to see Matt Cohen, but that chick with him is a NO. It reminded me of Maggie, but not as well acted. Now as for the wedding... The set. The camera angles. The returns. The clothes. I loved each and every minute of it. Gina got an entrance! NINAAAA got an entrance! Amy FINALLY got to interact with Tracy! And I lived for her and Nina going in on Cane. And I really and truly was hoping that Gina was about to kick Giggly Heffa's tail. Danny cleans up well. And Mmmm to the onion in the back. ;) And Christine looked lovely even if I felt a way about that dress. And I can't believe that Phyllis is such a sore loser that she would try to ruin the day. I guess Cane really was not all that in bed. So far, so good on the wedding.
  20. OMG! I have been enjoying Nina back and with Christine. BUT I'm getting her (and Amy, too) getting to call Cane out, too??? YES, PLEASE.
  21. Hehe. So true about Steffy and social media over Finn. But god, JMW is always glowing after she has a baby. I love it.
