As someone who has had similar discussions with my own Mom. So I feel that. It is probably why those scenes really hit. He has always been her closest relationship...which was my relationship with my father before he passed. Mary decided that she will continue filming so if it is as raw as how I was when my father passed, I know that's going to hurt.

@slick jones thanks. I always did love Carrie with Mike and the irony of Sami's plot actually working in that regards. Cuz Roark was hot! And that top picture (and those eyes) are why. I even liked him in the V reboot. Also thank you for Billy. A case for me falling for a recast since I liked the other Casey. Both went on to great things, too. Both can also get it. ;P

So...tomorrow February ends...so how are we grading soaps...? A B C D HADES!!! For me...I think it falls like this...if I am being honest... BTG. C. And I am shocked to say that. Because I still find it highly watchable. And it was a good thing that the main cast all have stories going on. And there are some nice B stories in place. There's even C plot going on. But you know what? There was just too much slow movement, no twists to pull you in with those movements, either. It was just kinda...THERE. And the one story that I wanted to see this month is not happening for another few months. While in hindsight, I understand...that left not much going on. Add on this is the anniversary of when it premiered and well...a C. I am happy to see the reappearance of the Laura thread as well as the B stories that I don't like (the plasma stuff, the clinic, okay I like Kristen Dimera...I mean Hayley) are slowly picking up. GH. C. While I am probably jumping the gun on this one since I have two weeks to binge, I have overall not like some of the turns. And I already discussed in the normal thread how clear it is that the writers have picked their couples for this year. While I'm happy to see the writers factor in romance (finally), the majority of the couples picked are either lackluster or suffer from the writing flaws that I dislike in this regime who...on their second year head writing...should be capable of writing more adult romance than slapsticky gimmicks. They can barely write to GH's strength in action-adventure. And don't get me started on the treatment of vets the audience already love or love to hate. (ie. Anna, Laura, Lulu, Liz, Lucy). It should say something that the one thing really holding my interest is crazy Willow...something I would not have said two years ago. And when she's not on or that plot isn't moving...it's a chore to watch. B&B. B. You know you are on to something when you miss some episodes (which was me this week oops) and you actually feel sad about it. I can't believe this show has gone from being in the background for me to me actually wanting to watch. Brad Bell did a pivot by focusing on some other characters not named Forresters and it has for the most part felt like a breath of fresh air. And while things grew dull when Brad would refocus on the Forresters, it does seem like he managed to find a balance that worked...even for them. A show that again has multiple stories going on from an A plot of the week to a B plot...and even a C plot sometimes (Taylor/Deacon at the moment). And their silliness is actually funny. Y&R. Wake me when Josh Morrow is shirtless or the cameraman is at it again with his back or when those vets show up. No longer watching. DAYS. Haven't gotten around it. But I still plan to. And...you guys?

I always get a little bit of a grin seeing how well Eric Nelsen is doing post PP-AMC.

Speaking of today's episode...two things can be true. TeamKat against the Cartoon and the Spawn which she has every right to be. But her taking it out on Chels is where I had an issue and wanted her to STFU.

I was more shocked to see they had a smashburger there which seems to conflict with what Orpheny Gene's seems to be in terms of soul food. Though that price was right. I don't think I've seen a cheap smashburger. Same.

Overall I agree with you. I do think Bradford can still find those quirky moments, but for the most part yes, he has not been too off-the-wall in ages. And I agree that he has matured...and it was great that PM was around to shelter that and Maxie into a mature version of their pairing. But I think for me, the scene that I mentioned was truly the first time I saw him in a romantic lead position and felt it. There was something that Spinelli was showing (and Bradford was really emoting) that resonated with me. It caught me by surprise. I always knew Spin loves Maxie. But it's nice to have a moment where it was just showing, not telling. If that makes sense. And yep...that was Vee. I hope not. But I wouldn't be surprised.

Now that I'm getting into the Maxie of it all...can I just say that Bradford Anderson is doing such a great job in his scenes with Kristen Storm after Maxie woke up...I mean the look in his eyes. I was woooow...a man in love. From Spin of all people. No gimmicks. No hint of wacky at all. A strong stillness. If that makes sense. Hehe. Go 'head, BLQ read Lulu!!!

I admit that I was not expecting the flashbacks. Could it FINALLY be time? Hmmm

I am sure that Angela will be giving. I know nothing about K. And I know they were holding back some things so I expect the midseason trailer to be much better. Yeah. It really has been on my mind on and off the last few days. Those scenes of them the season before last really struck a nerve. I don't think any time Mary mentioned him that I didn't start to have watered eyes or cried. I can't imagine what she must be going through.

Hey, @DaytimeFan , it seems it has been renewed for a fifth and final season. While the ratings are doing great AND GROWING, the creator feels he wants the show to end on a high. Which from what I've seen online...it really got major buzz this season.

I'll say this much...Mike Manning were wearing those khakis today.
