Cliffhangers two days in a row? Dare I hope we get a Friday cliffhanger, too?

Something about today's episode... Dare I say it...are they planning up blowing up all their storylines in May? Cuz of course there's the cotillion. But the resurrection of Martin's Secret...and today's Martin/Smitty disagreement. Joey and Vanessa being tooooooo happy. The Impaler storyline is a given. There's a few of positioning going on...and I don't hate it. I mean...as long as it IS a roller coaster ride...which is how it felt like today. And no, I didn't forget about Kristen Dimera...hehe.

IKR. Granted I was one of his early likers, but there was a long stretch of time where BC really wasn't on the screen and it was felt. (perhaps BC was on vacation?) But I've really enjoyed the increase in his presence this week and last. It was only during his scenes with Vernon and especially Nicole yesterday that I just thought about how natural BC seems now. Comfortable in his skin and in Martin and how much growth he had over the past year that he's highly enjoyable. I admit that has always been a fun little in-joke around here. Same with characters, too. Same. At this point, they make Vanessa more bearable and/or interesting. At least for me. I was so happy to get a 'Dani Longlegs' out of her this past week. Very much this. Ashley has recovered from last year nicely and by doing what the audience wanted...be supporting and NOT crazy neurotic. So her with Grayson has been near perfect. And it does help they do have internal AND external drama to keep them interesting. So not boring to me at all.

But Gio/Emma are adorable. And at least they are getting some much-needed spotlight.

Manifesting...hehe.

So Kat is completely happy and Tomas wants her to meet his family. He's a goner, ain't he? You better spin that tale, Kristen Dimera!!! So Grayson's Mom is real. There goes that theory. gasps But...Cliffhanger!! Pretty good episode.

Darrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn not Hayley pulling from the Pregnant Kristen Dimera Playbook! I can't! lol. Now Tomas...what are you doing? Grrrr. Yep. Ted is back on my 'Not Like' List. Shanice deserves better.

Hehe. That's the Shanice I like to see!!! She wants ALL the tea! Liking a lot of the pairings today. Martin/Tomas. Kat/Ted. Now Martin/Nicole.

I think at one point, the writers were trying to use Vanessa to make Joey more acceptable. Now...nah. I am honestly disappointed that Vanessa vs Nicole didn't last a little bit longer. Of course, it could and probably will blow up again since this has been going on since Nicole suspected that Joey and Vanessa might be a thing. But still...I would rather they be at odds. At least until Vanessa finds out what Joey did. I caught that, too. re: Vanessa and Bill. And I did side-eye. And I think Nicole hit the bullseye when she said that Vanessa did not care about anything...her business AND her kids, throwing over all of it for Joey. And from what we have been shown through Donnell and Deanna, it's true. So I feel nothing about Deanna dragging her every chance she gets.

I really like Ashley and Grayson. SHANICE!!!! Moment of truth on how I'll be feeling about Ted and her going forward.

Oooo that's cool. So...getting treated like the other soaps.

I never thought I would say this, but...UGH at Ted and Nicole. I stay enjoying seeing Martin. What a difference a year makes. It's funny watching Hayley being mad over Babygate knowing that the walls are closing in on her and Bill will be mad at her soon enough...

A few things... Don't hate me...but...I kinda like Ava and Sidwell. The couple smell like power. And it really IS all in the inflection. RP use of it is very noticeable as he is trying to show the difference between Nathan and Cassius.

4-17 Another good week. I completely was eating up the Will/Electra/RJ storyline. And not Carter being the one that had to bring up the Will/RJ fight! lol. But I loved that the story got movement by Daphne finally deciding to tell the truth to Electra. I liked that it took up the whole week like the Taylor/Deacon/Sheila storyline did last week. And I felt it flowed nicely just like that storyline did. And Electra vs Ms. That's-Not-Proper as the Friday cliffhanger (like Sheila was last week)...YES, PLEASE. And Brad finally got back around to Brooke vs Katie. TeamKatie. Brooke has been waaaay too smug again. And I know KKL is doing a great job when I'm saying to my tv 'OH SHUT UP, BROOKE.' Or 'BITCA.' I am sorry that it kinda vanished by mid-week, but a good wetting of the appetizer this week. Looking forward to next week for more. REMY!!! And Deke looked like he might take him back. Nice little C plot going on. Daphne + Carter = BABY? Yeeeah, no. lol. But it was a nice little C plot moment, too. And I do like how they recurred throughout the week in other stories as well as having their own scenes. Again...good week.

Before it gets too crowded and me too distracted again... I wanted to say that I agree with what Vee said yesterday or the day before yesterday about my favorite BBFs. No matter how much she has grown in the last year and a half...and she has grown in spite of her one step forward, two step backwards approach...I also feel that quite a few people have never fully forgiven Dani for that first month of gun-trotting, over-the-top-being craziness. And while she is still a lot (ironically mellowing down to just a soap diva), that does not take away from the fact that Dani has at least showed signs of growth. Whether those stuck in Month 1 believe it or not. I could never imagine the Dani of the first few months sitting down like she did recently talking about being insecure about returning to any form of modeling. I could not imagine the Dani of the first few months currently being in a marriage at all with Andre. And of course, I cannot imagine the Dani of the first few months NOT throwing hands on Silk Press Sheila by this point. lol. Now Vanessa on the other hand... The flipped side to that (besides people already did not like her from GO, the character NOT the actress), I thought that Vanessa was highly well developed and had beautiful shades of gray. You may not like her, but you understood her. Even with her issues with Doug, Vanessa was developed in a way that you understood or could read between the lines. Where she fell foul was when she started to flirt with Joey. Then she fell for Joey. And even then, I felt both of them were still well-developed. Even when they were not liked...which was most of the time last year. So when they were the center of the week as the most developed and well-paced of the B plots then, I already knew there were going to be complaints. Some of which were very constructive which I loved, but some just wanted them (well, Joey) off the screen. Which for all the issues was a shame because they were at least giving soap drama and good pacing. Where my like for the story fell was post-Doug's death because Vanessa has completely stopped being any hint of three-dimensional or shades of gray and is just whiny and frankly annoying. A cardboard heroine...and she's not even a heroine...more like a...Jacinta...if you catch my drift from the GH board. While Dani has developed, Vanessa has...regressed? She cries at the drop of a hat now where she used to be cunning. Crafty. But still funny. Where did that WOMAN go?

Too many times. It's ridiculous. Hmmmm...I don't think it will be Sidwell though. I fully expect Jason or Fathan before him.
