GH: March 2026 Discussion Thread
Really? I guess it has slipped my mind. lol. I do agree that she had enough chemistry with Sonny that I would love to see it revisited if Sonny HASSS to have a love interest not named Brenda. Yeah, I liked Stafford's Nina only because the show at the time (I left before RC ended his run so never saw Altman/Passante's run) needed a villainess and Sam needed something to do so they got one. That there was history with Ava was a bonus. But yeah...such a cartoon to those of us who are used to her as the Giggly Heffa on Y&R. Meh at Hayden. I might be in the minority, but I would have love to see them try to use Sarah again. Don't mention that girl! She'll wind up popping up! ;P But I liked Jennifer Sky. But tbf I liked a lot of the show from that time. And that she went on to do other shows, movies, camp, only to become a photographer/writer never ceases to amuse me. Though I love Ava, I agree. I feel the reason Nina is still around is to the talents of Watros's abilities to find the real person in her character. Ava is at her best when she gets to play the femme fatale we all know she is with only very little (her friendship with Trina, relationship to Lucas now) redeeming human qualities that make some sense.

Now if you could do the same for Sonny runs He really is. So is Maura West. So it's just crazy how they are usually put in C plots. You can use both ANYWHERE. Heck, I can say the same for Cynthia Watros on the current canvas.

I didn't say I fully agree, but I can see why people thought that from what little of TP beyond DIARY OF A MAD BLACK WOMAN.

I am not at all surprised. I figured he was not getting Best Director. And definitely not Best Picture so Best Screenplay was the compromise for that.

Yeah, I think all of us soap fans are beaming right now. I am also happy Jessie won. I found her spellbinding in HAMNET.

And it's well-deserved!!! And the 'The Winner Takes It All' playing in the background was a nice touch.

B&B: March 2026 Discussion Thread
3-10 Uh oh? Why uh oh? A meh start of the week for me. So far the highlight was Will vs Electra. Who knew anger and nailing it was genetic. Yes, I mean Crew Morrow and his father gives good anger heat, too. He might be no saint for kissing Dylan, but Will nailed Electra for kissing RJ. But it was a good fight. Just when you thought they would get back together, it went left. I liked how that was done. I laughed as soon as I heard 'it's not proper' fly out of Ivy's lips during Ivy vs Daphne. I guess this is how they are going to keep Daphne relevant now that she's married to Carter. And I'm liking the two young troublemakers. It's been overdue in that age range. So silly, but they are keeping things moving. Katie looked fierce at the dinner. That said...ugh to said dinner. Ridge and Brooke being smug and entitled is automatically going to make me root for Bill and Katie. Sorry.

Awww well that makes me feel better. But isn't that how it always goes before a character or couple leave re: they get interesting. I am still sad the story was so dismantled when the aftermath still had so much more traction to it. Totally agree that them working on their problems (and still could have thrown Cody into that...and to be delicious since someone mentioned it back then...let's throw Lucas into that with TJ) would be more entertaining than Dumb Teenagers Misadventures. That he does. Chemistry with EVERYONE. Fits in anywhere on the canvas. His presence writes itself. Rick Hearst has it in spades. HAHAHAHAHA Not at all. And did add on Liz and it would have been a mess to boot. So can't have that. Same.

And speaking of my rewatch... 3-9 I don't think I liked Monday's episode originally (and Tuesday appears to still be slow), but I liked it the second time around. How long has it been since Bill and Martin had a scene? It was nice to see some of the nicer history there, touching on Martin's secret as Martin was trying to advise Bill about Hayley. I think I am going to be in the minority, but I liked that Chelesa and Kat made up. I didn't like how Kat went off on Chelesa for no reason. And no amount of dialogue has helped with that. This is their SECOND quarrel which is establishing a pattern. So I expect the next time they fall out, there will be a bigger reaction that last longer. I continue to like how Smitty gets more and more deep into Jacob and this plasma ring storyline. I'm happy he at least explained to Martin that it was connected to a story. Part of me wondered if Samantha would tell Martin and Martin would wonder if Smitty was stepping out on him. Or if Martin at some point will wonder if Smitty is stepping out on him. When Martin had a secret, there was drama. So...now that Smitty has a secret...well...we'll see. I have heard comments here and there about JHC, but no one has really gone into specifics. Which I think I know what everyone is saying...I would love more tea. And NO to JFP.

Yeah, I never thought I would see the day that I look forward to seeing NuTed, but him with Shanice has made a believer out of me. I enjoy seeing them together. One can hope because Eva and Izaiah have no conflict at the moment. And I do be waiting for Kat to get her 'I told you so' on. I think it's because TP has a certain black stereotypical characters on his show and one of them is the hypocritical church woman. And how they act on his shows is how Mona acted that day. Which while Mona's beliefs have always been established on this show...not like that so it feels kinda off. Unless I'm wrong. Speaking of Randy...lest we forget...isn't he married or babymama-ed?

I figured that I was clear about it then so thank you for the verification. I also hope for the same. Originally I had hoped that it would line up with the anniversary week. And it felt like it was building to that. Only for NOTHING. I was disappointed and a bit heated if I remember correctly because I really loved the cotillion storyline from the moment it started, images of cotillions on other teen tv shows dancing in my head. It's made for drama. And it had a nice momentum started (like Winterfest did) only to fall to the backburner abruptly. It was only after discussing it here on the board that in hindsight, it is probably a good thing they pushed it back farther out. If it had aired on anniversary week...even with the gradual build it had...it still would have come across as rushed. So begrudgingly smart move. I mentioned that it feels like the writers are trying to do what they did this time last year when they focused on the B and C plots more to get them developed when there are more prime stories they could worked on. Given there is an article out that mentions WHEN the cotillion storyline will play out (and yes, it is out there but like I said...not on screen so can come across as a spoiler), I just feel it just verifies my theory about what the writers are up to. And that was fine for the first year. Now that they have a year under them...my feelings honestly are mixed. Not hating the show and still highly watchable (and I'm rewatching the two I got to see this week as I type), but the pace this time last year, I remember being divisive here. This year, I think we have been more constructively picking on it and it's true.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Well they need to open up that standard. Didn't they do that for THE PITT? And that would have been a great hook cuz the audience would have kept going to see what Buffy's story would be and plays up what Buffy was known for, seasonal arcs with standalones in to develop characters. Good-bye for now?

Lord, let's hope not. Yeah, I am feeling the same as well. If there had been no renewal, I do feel What Happened to Laura would have finally come out. And still can. Since we know Joey has blackmail dirt on SilkPress. Heck, I'm doing some light catch-up at the moment so I see Kat moved in with Anita and Vernon. And we know Leslie have that house next door. Given Kat just went off on her and Eva again, I wouldn't put it pass her to go over there and try to continue to get justice for Laura somehow. Or perhaps they play the story thread of Kat going to Joey during Chelesa's kidnapping. Kat going after SilkPress definitely needs that mansion set. We will see how I feel when Thomson hits her one year, BUT I am feeling this.

Then you must dislike when I have the rare day home when I can watch and live post. lol. But seriously, the post you quoted from me answered the question and gave them the brief discussion of it. I assumed that since I have not been tagged over this busy week that they did go back and read. I would say go back and do the same since we all did discuss it briefly here. And I do make mentions. And I would also point to either the spoiler thread...unless you don't like to be toooo spoiled or perhaps the history thread in case the article I mentioned and you quoted my mention is very much there. With few exceptions...and because it took me forever to learn how to use spoiler tags here, I do keep it vague intentionally...but don't mind pointing where to look if it is available. As for my multi-quotes, all I can say is a Shrugs Like I said...I do have busy weeks and when I eventually come in here, I do multi-quotes...apparently different than you. It happens. I see something I like, I do reply. I also discuss. Sometimes that does go across pages (starting from the last time I was on) and I'm not about to have a tab for each page I miss to keep texts together cuz that would be an even longer post that would be confusing I am sure. Sometimes I have posted my thoughts first before I go back and read...something I know we all do from time to time. My apologies for the offense. Speaking of the small note...yeah my posts have the double space. Through several of the updates here, I went from finding it jarring to liking the formatting. It does help collect my thoughts...which well...are my thoughts. And given I have done it in most other places in my life to no problems, I am sure you can understand that I will continue to do so. But thank you for your thoughts. Now if you want me to explain my comment which I felt and I hope GLATWT88 understood farther, I don't mind doing that in spoiler tags in case there are some that don't know which it does seem to be some that don't know just from a glance over some of the episode posts I've seen briefly over the last few days.

Very true. And I'm happy to have him back. Yeah. I liked Vaganos and I thought she found her way in the surrogacy storyline, but that felt to the wayside just like TJ. Now she's just...there.

I believe it given how big YELLOWSTONE has become with spinoffs all over the place. And already renewed for Season 2.

That reminds me...mmmmm shirtless Gio. hehe. That's just more reason for the writers to have him come in with a beginning, middle, and an end to his appearances...something I feel they nail with Bradford's appearance for the most part with Spinelli. Ric does have his hands in many plots. It was part of the reason his return originally worked before he fit right on in without missing a beat at all. The writers should have done better with the knowledge of his outside soap job. My apologies. I thought you did like them. :) I agree she has majorly regressed which hurts that pairing and I've already said my thoughts about the TJ in the room leaving a sour taste in my mouth.

GH: March 2026 Discussion Thread
Speak on it!!! Ric still has all of this potential after all of these years and they are doing what? Not a thing. I don't know about the local issue, but Spinelli has been put to good use in this limited time on screen so I don't see how they can't do the same for Ric. His return started pretty good before he vanished into the bloated cast. LOL!!! Now let me give them a moment. You know they don't get much from me no matter how attractive I find JK. smh. I'm sure I will go back to disliking the pairing again like I do a certain hooker by the next time I see them.
