  1. ^ You really don't think he's dead? I was figuring he might be since the actor got a new show on AMC. Plus would they want to do another fake out after Glen? I'm also worried Maggie might be eaten from the inside, if her baby is dying. Hopefully she's not far along enough for that. Anyway, I didn't much care for this episode. It was a bunch of people who should know better being stupid and putting other people at risk.
  2. Just when I think this election can't get any stranger. Somehow it's even more amusing to me that it might have been Rubio reaching out from beyond the grave.
  3. ^ Would not surprise me. Some of these guys can't help themselves no matter how much they have to lose.
  4. cap
  5. This one's for you and Vee. Matt Wuerker is pretty talented. http://www.politico.com/gallery/2016/03/matt-wuerker-political-cartoons-march-2016-002210?slide=0
  6. I agree. Marco actually started to say some good things once it was clear he was over and done. That stuff about "Do we really want to be a country where everybody hates each other". Spot on, but too little and way too late
  7. He absolutely has a shot. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to remember how he had "no shot" at the nomination six months ago. I imagine he's going to stop talking about the scary Mexicans, denounce the Klan (wink wink) when asked and start showing Ivanka off a little more. "I love women! Look at my daughter"! The Muslims will be the scapegoats. We just have to hope that not enough people fall for it, even though more people than I ever imagined are already falling for it.
  8. I wish the characters holding Maggie and Carol hadn't been dispatched that quickly. I wanted to see more of them, especially the red head. I actually thought that Carol was faking the breakdown. Since not, I'm glad she could do what she needed to do when the time came.
  9. I think there is hope that Rubio will get Florida and Kasich will get Ohio and that might stop Trump from getting the nomination. I doubt JK thinks he's getting the presidency at this point.
  10. Amen. I think all human beings sometimes speak off the cuff about things they don't really know and that's what happened here. It's just that HRC is under he microscope and got this one wrong.
  11. ^ That was really f*cked up. I don't believe candidates are responsible for their supporters, but they are obligated to disavow this kind of violence. I hope that guy goes to prison for a good long time.
  12. Ben Carson is going to endorse Donald Trump? BC was not my cup of tea, but he seemed like a nice enough guy. I just don't get it. I know his tiny group of supporters don't really matter, but it's just frustrating to see so many people falling in line with the insanity. I'm glad we have a two term limit on the presidency. I'm pretty ambivalent on President Obama. I'm glad he got the ACA through and I agree it's fun to watch him troll the Republicans, but I'm almost always ready for a fresh start after someone has been in power for 8 years. That's even true for Bill Clinton who I pretty much adored. I supposed HRC isn't really a fresh start, but I'll take it.
  13. ^ Yeah, we just have to hope that the majority of voters are too smart for fall for Trump's shtick. With any luck the media will turn on him when it's a one on one race and start reporting more on his dirty dealings and start fact checking his claims more rigorously. I do worry that HRC's camp thinks they are just going to wipe the floor with Trump instead of taking him seriously.
  14. I'm started to get really excited about the new season. It looks like the Khal who found Dani is taking her back to the Dosh Khaleen. Pretty sure I saw a glimpse of the horse statue from Vaes Dothrak. Also looked like Jorah found something of Dani's, so he's probably tracking her. The voice over that says "He is dead" must be in reference to Stannis. Interesting to see the Red Woman losing faith. Like Skin, I'm assuming that Jon will come back to life. I figured it would be Melisandre who would bring him back, but now I wonder if it happens another way.
  15. I thought that was a strange song to use for the promo, but I'm happy to have a long promo. Looks like some good things are coming up.
  16. I thought she felt guilty about Sam too, but my point is it's too little too late now that he's dead. She should have relented on the coldness while he was alive. I've never seen Carol as a killing machine or as a cold blooded killer, but last night she felt OOC to me. Let's just say I wasn't surprised when she was taken captive.
  17. The change in Carol is annoying because it feels like a 180. I've been in the minority on this board because I do feel like w need the Dale, Hershel, Ty characters. There isn't a whole lot of point in surviving, if you are going to be a heartless killing machine. It's just that the guilt of doing what clearly needed to be done didn't feel organic coming from Carol. Not after she spent part of season 4 (?) lecturing little kids on how they would have to kill people. If Carol is going to feel guilty it should be about how cold she was with Sam, but hey, she left a cookie on his grave. The smoking was just a clunky, tired, trope. I do feel bad that Glenn had to kill after avoiding it for so long. Especially, since it wasn't in traditional self defense. Yes, it was preventative self defense, but killing those people in their sleep was pretty hard core for our group. Maggie was an idiot for going on this trip. She had plenty of reason to stay behind. Sending most of your best fighters on one mission makes the town way too vulnerable.
  18. Where did you move to that its Sunday already? Yikes. Wishful thinking on my part.
  19. So is tonight the night someone dies? If so, I'm putting my money down on Daryl. I hope it doesn't happen though, since I like him.
  20. Bill Clinton is about a mile from me. That wouldn't be a big deal if I lived in a big city, but it seems so odd to me that he's come to this tiny Omaha neighborhood near me, instead of downtown. Gotta love that this video showing people waiting in line features one of those "free help clinics" that try to scam women who want an abortion. https://twitter.com/LaurenScottTV
  21. Why for the love of all that's holy did she set up that private server? So frustrating.
  22. I don't think Romney owes any loyalty to a man who has disparaged women and Mexicans and "played footsie" with the Klan. Trump knew exactly what he was doing when he failed to completely denounce that terrorist organization. It was a little wink and a nod. He might as well have said "Sure, I'm going to have to give the press lip service at some point, but I'm your guy". Does he mean it? It doesn't matter. He is egging these people on and helping to normalizing all kinds of hatred. I will agree it's a slap in the face to democracy if he clearly wins the delegates and Romney (or anyone) somehow takes the nomination. Still, if those are the rules, it will only make it easier for HRC to win. I'd rather see a third party run by Romney which would have the same result.
  23. ^ I'm sort of enjoying it as well, although I don't think I'll like what rises from the ashes much better.
  24. ^ OMG!! That is just spot on. I wonder if Rubio will fade from the public eye after this. It seems like Florida is on the verge of repudiating him and he didn't seem to want to be a Senator anyway.
