I think that we have to hope HRC's "firewall" saves us all, but I agree that being complacent would be a mistake. Maybe the press will really come down on him once he's the nominee, instead of glorying in the drama and ratings. And hey, I'll admit it's been the kind of election cycle that I can't look away from, but back in he fall I never thought it would get this ugly.

Did you see his interview with Jake Tapper? At the end Jake said he is(referring to Rubio) either determined or in denial…..LOLOLOLOLOL I saw it. I'm in the anyone but Trump side of this fence, but it was funny. Q- My husband agrees with you that Cruz is worse than Trump. I actually agree that Trump doesn't believe some of what he's saying. He fell into this authoritarian movement, but I don't think that makes him any less dangerous.

Yes. I swear he is a wanna be televangelist with the way he talks. It's maddening. This Chris Christie stuff is mind blowing. I can hardly believe my eyes. I guess it's not surprising, he's always been a mean spirited person. @Soapsuds I agree with you that Rubio is cooked. As S.E Cupp said awhile ago on CNN, if nothing else this is democracy at work. No one can claim that the party establishment controlled this outcome as hard as they tried.

I don't really blame him. I don't really want to believe that so many of my fellow American's are falling for this Authoritarian insanity either. Has anyone seen Trump's number's among Hispanics? I'm just curious about how things shook out among that demographic.

I've been worried for months. This isn't just about Trump. He's a buffoon who stumbled into being a demagogue. Now we see that there is a huge pool of authoritarian voters out there. The next demagogue is bound to be smarter and more strategic. He won't make it white nationalists against "the other". It'll just be all of "us" against some vulnerable smaller group like Muslims. I can only imagine what would have happened if Trump had done that. Even now, he's only behind HRC about 10 points in national polls.

Gonna be brutally honest, but I feel that Trump got far in this race b/c he plays of the fears of many white people, who fear and realize that they are quickly becoming the new minority in America. That'll also lead to an unwanted power shift in the corrupt structure here where whites typically prosper and the rest of us don't. There is a bright light being shined on inequality a lot in this country and recent years and many don't wanna talk about it or change it for that matter. Donald is the perfect candidate for those who favor white privilege. I don't think those American expats can quickly come back and vote in the elections now if I am mistaken. Especially, if they have citizenship and votes in the countries that they live in. I think you are only restricted to vote in the country you live in, so they'd have to up and move back here, which I doubt they'd wanna do anyways. Regan is a bit before my time (as I was born in one of the last years of his 2nd term), but from what I collected, Regan is renowned because he was so called fiscally conservative, but what I see is that he was another power figure that was driven by greed. I see people say this a lot and I agree it's one of the fears Trump is playing on. It's not exactly true though. It relies on the idea that all non white people are some monolith, which is so far from true. I spent 8 years living in Daly City California (supposedly one of the most liberal areas in the country), which has very few whites and I have never seen more open racial hatred in my life. Plus, whites are set to be a plurality for a good long time, but maybe perception is all that really matters here, which is why the Trumps of the world can manipulate people. Still, I always find it weird when people see Mexican's as the scary "other". People of European descent, who speak a romance language and follow a Christian religion. If that's the "other" people are going to be in for one hell of a shock in about 20 years, since demographics predict a huge rise in the number of Asians coming to the US.

I love seeing people stand up to Trump and the nuts at his rallies. Those black lives matters protesters were very brave. Thank God there was no mob violence. Trump has some of his people so riled up I was really fearing the worst. I wish people like Mitt Romney would stop talking about a third party candidate. Just get some integrity and say you would sooner vote for HRC than someone who won't even disavow the KKK.

Nothin'ButAttitude- That's why I'm horrified when so many Republicans are saying they'll get behind Trump if (when) he wins. They would really rather see someone with Trump's dangerous ideas in there than HRC. Was it Jeb who said HRC would be better? If so, I can at least respect him for that. I think some in the media just love the drama and the ratings right now. I mostly watch CNN and I think Wolf Blitzer is especially guilty of this. Some of the online bloggers like Ezra Klein see the danger.

Plus is there any advantage to giving Donald the word "socialist" to throw around? I think Bernie is a rational, decent guy and he will campaign for Hillary and bring many of his supporters around without being the VP. It's interesting to see Trump and Rubio trying to emasculate each other. I think someone in the Rubio campaign is actively advising him that they need to bring Trump down in that way and that's where the whole "pants wetting" thing is coming from. It's like the whole Republican nomination process has come down to who has the biggest d*ck.

I agree that HRC will probably win against anyone of the Republicans, but I'm not going to get overconfident about it. The Republicans were pretty confident (in some cases haughtily so) that Trump was just a circus clown and here we stand. I hope to hell HRC isn't getting overconfident either. And yes, she's been investigated for 20 years because she and her husband keep acting like the rules (and in some cases the laws) don't apply to them. It's an ongoing problem. I can support them and still recognize that self evident truth. Like I've said before, no drama Obama has been a breath of fresh air after the endless Clinton scandals. If there's any good news it's that people probably don't care about Bill's sex life since leaving office or maybe that's just my wishful thinking. *fingers crossed*

I think Trump will win and that Kasich is still the least of the evils, followed by Carson. It's like talking about which soap is the worst, a race to the bottom. Except in this case the consequences are real. Picking someone as the least evil doesn't mean they are in any way good. It just means that Kasich isn't trying to ban an entire religion and (probably) won't nuke anyone. The real problem here is that HRC is vulnerable. Who knows what this FBI investigation will turn up? It's always something with the Clintons. Sure, some of it is BS, but there is often enough something real in the mix. I love them, but it's true. Meanwhile, Bernie is 74 years old and I just don't think he can handle what Trump will throw at him. I dread the pure misogyny that's going to come crawling out the woodwork when it's Trump vs. HRC though.

White nationalists. I can't believe it's come to this. Chris Christie has endorsed Trump. Is this real life? I'm hoping at the very least Rubio and Cruz can bleed Trump a bit. They are certainly trying their best. I'm back to being completely team HRC because I don't believe that Sanders can take on Trump. HRC knows how to take a punch and that's what it's going to take to go against Trump.

That's pretty funny. Trump was unfortunately the quickest wit on the stage as he always is at these things. I'll give him his due on that.

Watching this debate is so painful. Three alpha dogs barking and trying to rip each other apart. BC and JK may as well call it a day. This isn't the year of people trying to talk reasonably about ideas.

He's not, which seems to be the whole point. Some people are calling it a colonialist story and cultural approbation. I don't know what's really right in these circumstances. I'll watch and judge on the product.

I don't think anyone suggested that we won WW2 on our own. Russia's part in that war is well known and accepted by pretty much everyone, but WW2 is our last clear victory. Being on the winning side makes it a victory, even if you have allies. WW2 is also the last war where we were clearly on the side of right. Since then we've been fighting proxy wars and trying to change regimes that we have no business trying to change. Now we're at it again in Syria, in the middle of a proxy war between Iran and the Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile our brilliant, never tried before plan to fight ISIS/ISIL is to arm and train rebels. I'll vote for whoever is ready to stop this nonsense.

Truly the tip of the iceberg. I like to read Noam Chomsky https://chomsky.info/articles/ and Arundhati Roy when I start to forget how much damage the American government does to people around the world, largely for corporate interests. Here is an interesting John Cusack wrote about a meeting between him AR, and John Snowden: http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/33664-things-that-can-and-cannot-be-said-a-conversation-between-john-cusack-and-arundhati-roy I consider myself a patriot, but we have had and do have our fingers in so many pies it's not funny. Just look at the middle east, we destroyed Iraq with impunity. Not just physically. For all intents and purposes Iraq as a functioning nation no longer exists. Our wars there not only killed hundreds of thousands of civilians, but it reignited sectarian violence leading these people to slaughter each other. I won't say we are completely to blame for Syria, but we certainly played our part. Then you have idiots like Ted Cruz suggesting that we carpet bomb these people like it's nothing. The blatant disregard for human life is appalling. No thought of the babies that would be murdered in that kind of action, but he wants to control the reproductive choices of American women. F*ck you, Ted Cruz.

The thing about Trump is he's exposed this thread of nationalism and authoritarianism among Americans that I find surprising. I think is taken a lot of people by surprise. Trump is slightly hobbled by age, the trophy wives and the fact that he isn't the greatest speaker, as Soapsuds said. Now that we see this nationalist streak exists, I dread the rise of someone who leans in that direction, but isn't a buffoon. It's really sad how many people really don't understand that America isn't "losing". If anything we have disproportionate amount of power on the world stage and the last thing we need is a leader trying to hammer home the idea that we are entitled to it.

My favorite part was when Trump shouted out "I love the poorly educated." He got the same percent of voters with college degrees and Cruz and Rubio, but it was still a priceless line. I completely agree with this Vox analysis of who is really voting for Trump. http://www.vox.com/2016/2/23/11099644/trump-support-authoritarianism The short answer is those with authoritarian values and the fearful, it's a good read if you have time though.

Even though this was a more relaxed episode I think it still helped to ramp up the long term drama. Now that these people are a family their lives become more precious to each other and (vicariously) to the viewer. I think that's especially true for Judith. We know Michonne lost one baby, so I'm both pleased and nervous about her becoming a mother to Judith. I like Jesus. I remember Tom Payne from Luck. He's a cutie and I think he'll be good in this role.
