Recent interview with Robert Colbert (ex Stuart Brooks). He talks about Y&R a bit and how it was filmed live then.

The Aldrich marriage is falling apart bit by bit. I feel sorry for Carolee. She clearly loves Steve, but also respects his marriage to Karen. I read that Steve later gets her pregnant out of wedlock too. He must be some super stud to bed and impregnate all these young women.

Dick DeCoit would have been a great name for adult films.....LOL I wish some of his Y&R work would surface. I think I read that Carolyn Conwell played his mother on the show before she returned a few years later to play Mary Williams.

Does anyone else have trouble with the Dailymotion site ? Sometimes it takes a while for the shows to load and the web page acts all freaky at times like it's continuously loading crap in the background ?

I noticed the four 1975 and one 1976 episodes have been removed from youtube as well.

Diana Hyland looked rough in that cast photo. Dick Van Patten before the bad comb over.

Thanks for that 1991 David Kimble episode. It brings back memories how great Y&R once was.

Jill grabbing David's crank in the hospital as Katherine looked on was one of the most hilarious scenes in Y&R history. One sad thing about Y&R is that just about all the history ties to Y&R's early years have pretty much been erased. Jill is no longer a member of her original core family. Jill, Paul, and Nikki are the only 3 characters left from the 70's when the show was a half hour.

At one time in the 90's SOD ran a great spread on Y&R called Restless Hearts and it was a pictorial walk down memory lane with lots of photos and a time line. I also remember these magazines by Sterling/McFadden called History of The Soaps. The storylines synopsis were kind of all over the place, but they had some great rare pics from all the soaps.

I guess they wanted her to look stern and harsh and save a few bucks.

DRW50 I wondered that too or if she has a longer wig later on in the 70's since long hair was the style at that time.

Thanks for the info on Karen (Laryssa Laurett). I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Karen and Steve's storyline has drawn me in.

I just caught up to September 11 & 12 1968 where Steve and Karen are married and living in the apartment. Karen is all jumpy that Steve is going to seduce her. How long does Karen stay on the show ? Matt & Maggie in bed and being frank about their sex life is surprising for 1968 daytime TV. I wonder when daytime first showed two people actually committing the act on a soap ? Was it Y&R in 1973 ?

I guess they may have been posted here at one point, if not there are several 1977 episodes of GL on youtube. The quality is not the best, since they look to be taped off the uploaders TV.

Billy aka William R. Moses wound up replacing William Katt on the Perry Mason TV movies in the late 80's and early 90's after Katt decided to leave the series. Katt is the son of Barbara Hale (Della Street). Billy was married for a time to Tracy Nelson the daughter of Ricky Nelson. They had a daughter together. Tracy's mother Kris is the sister to Mark Harmon.

It's a shame that Kay Alden who had been with Y&R over 30 years was pretty much tossed out and replaced with hacks.

That one episode is always listed as being October 1982, but it's actually from spring 1982. By the end of the year the Fosters/Brooks were pretty much gone except for Jill, Liz, and Stu.

I recently was watching an interview at the Archive Of American Television with Lucie Arnaz and she was discussing her family/career. She mentioned about how she had to learn to be a good stepmother to her husbands 2 sons and it didn't really dawn on me till later " oh yeah, her husband is the ex of Robin Strasser". Lucie and Larry Luckinbill have 3 children of their own. Later in the interview when she discusses the death of her mother Lucy, she said she was living in LA again at that time and mentioned that they had to work out things with her husbands ex and then just says long story. I wonder how Robin & Lucie get along ?

Great photo of Audra. It's weird to think how funny and lovable she was on Three's Company as Mrs. Roper and then to hear and read how hateful her character of Liz Matthews was on AW in the 60's. I listened to some audio clips of her as Liz from 1969 and she was a raging witch.

Patricia Bruder had a ton of hair in that photo. It looks almost like a hat.
