And now SBu and IR can continue their stance and be considered heroic to a certain population of people. And like most said, in a couple of years SBu at least will be welcomed back with fanfare. Like many have said, I truly wonder if SBu really isn't vaxxed or if the optics of getting terminated for this prove to be an actual better bottom line for him considering the press it would bring him.

At this point, don't you think it's fair to assume SBu's probably well set for life? I am sure he's not a billionaire, but he's been working on soaps for 30 years now steadily as a top earner most of the time. Plus his juice, music, and side gigs. I think he can choose this hill to die on if he feels like. I think IR and SBu probably have more room to take their stands than MC or JW because they have more money in the bank.

It's embarrassing and I am constantly thinking what the eff am I watching, but I am still mildly entertained lol? I know it's stupid and is lowering my IQ, but Mardevil making out with Nick was hilarious. So were the reactions of Nicole/Ava to dead people stalking them. Is it a mockery of the original Possession (which I already disliked)? Yes, but it's more entertaining than watching Ciara/Ben have sex. I am on the fence. I literally agree with both sides of the argument on this story.

At the end of the day Stacey was never going to fill Eileen's shoes. It was always going to be a thankless role regardless of writing. SH is fine, but nothing phenomenal. It is what it is. Kristen just needs a rest and reboot I think.

Well it did something for MarDevil. I can't believe I just watched Nick and Marlena kiss lol. Although BB and DH probably have more chemistry than Nicole and Rafe. Anyway, this was an odd episode for sure. The Devil isn't scary, it's comedic with Deidre in that dumb costume and 'witty' lines. RC is really going for all the camp and none of the gothic aspect the original Possession had. Predictable, but still disappointing.

It wasn't just those things back then. Luke/Laura were broken up, Ned/Lois were on and off, and Sonny/Brenda had a brutal breakup all at the same time. It was kind of dreary. Still a great soap, but it was kinda depressing lol. I will always think bring Wayne back was a mistake. It worked for the years that he was there, but lead to Roman being a total side character. He was the first of the Brady's on the show, had a great romance with Marlena, and is now played by Josh Taylor lol.

Belle/Shawn live at Hope's house still. I don't think Shawn was wearing anything but a towel lol. I assume Shawn was showering mid day because they just got back from their trip? Yeah, Johnny was being stupid with Marlena. Outside of everything ridiculous that was happening Marlena would never be paying respect to Stefano. ETA: I guess I have to look at BB shirtless again to verify what he was wearing since there is a dispute lol Belle/Shawn having been living at Hope's for awhile now. Brady/Sami were staying at Marlena's.

I loved 93-97 Days. It's probably only 2nd to GH from that period to me. I have a lot of issues with the Possession, but at least it was a fully fleshed out story. JER took his time with that story and really made it about a love story. It's not my cup of tea and it went on too long, but it was well crafted and gothic. It started with the Affair, moved into Maison Blanche, and Roman leaving/John becoming a priest into the Possession, then on to Aremid. He had a long term plan. The stories kept moving into new arcs and I agree JER was great at using the entire cast. On Days, unlike Y&R or even GH, everyone knew each other, interacted, and knew one anothers business basically lol. I would say Aremid is my favorite JER story. I loved when Stefano was a scary villian. Someone people actually feared instead of a cartoon. I thought Tony/Andre, Peter and later Kristen were great villians/spoilers. Even something like Kristen's descent into evil was teased in the Possession which would never happen on a show now 1 year or 2 before she even became bad. Lisa Rinna/RKK's Bo were fabulous together. LR was really such a breath of fresh air as Billie. I saw some of that Billie in Beyond Salem. RKK did awful things backstage, but he was a great Bo. I do think when PR stepped back in he just clicked with everyone except LR seamlessly though. I liked PM's Austin, but I didn't mind AP's Austin either. His stupidity as Austin actually worked for the story in the long run. Sami was a great villian at the time and I never had any sympathy for her because I loved Carrie and Sami was so awful to Marlena/John as well. DA's Kate was very good. She played the character of Kate so grounded and real. LK's Kate is just a different character altogether. MV's Jack was fine for the story at the time, but a different character as well. The one thing I will say about JER is he didn't write Bo/Hope very well. Bo/Billie were clearly his babies and I never thought Bo/Hope had a good JER story. My faves were always John/Marlena so I loved JER was all about them, but Bo/Hope stories mostly were awful. I wish more Days was available. Now everything is private channels and impossible to find. There is a lot of stuff I wished I watched before everything was purged by Sony.

She was on a reality show 3 or 4 years ago with her son on Lifetime I think. It was about him breaking into the modeling industry with "famous" parents. It was called Growing Up Supermodel-I am pretty sure. Anyway, the show was dumb, but she looked good still. She's had some minor work done I think, but looks pretty much the same.

Agreed. I enjoy his ridiculous commitment to this movie part lol. I don't think this episode was entirely filler. We found out John was in the crypt, Johnny and Allie are going to investigate, and Belle was suspicious of Marlena. Everything else was boring though. It was nice to see Belle again. I feel like it's been months. I liked Marlena "sexy" devil costume with red lipstick and wig, but still a pantsuit underneath. Is 75 year old Marlena just going to walk around town in costume just because? Whoever said we needed a party or an event for this is right. I like John stuck at the Dimera crypt. But it takes me out of kidnappings when I have no idea how John is going to eat or pee.

Lol! Marlena is dressed as a sexy devil and John is chained to a wall next to Stefano's body. Good stuff today.

I THINK Marlena wasn't fully integrated with the Devil when she was dealing with Doug, so that's why she couldn't effectively dispose of him. And once she was fully integrated John was the bigger problem, so that's why MarDevil didn't get rid of Doug. I think it is in her plans though. Honestly, though, I am not sure. How is she dragging John around town without anyone noticing lol?

Lol! It's one of those name changes that seems pretty lateral. They both are pretty non descript, common last names and one isn't more interesting than the other. If the rumors are true, I am not sure why Vanessa Marcil cared whether it was Baker or Christopher as her last name.

I wasn't a big fan of the Abe stuff. If you can't get Renee Jones maybe they should have gone with a different idea for Abe's anniversary. Watching Lexie from the neck down was distracting lol. Also, Julie being the one to narrate Abe's 40 years was odd. It would have made more sense for Roman to be at the hospital and talk about it. Abe/Julie aren't even close. It was a nice gesture regardless on Days part. I thought the John/Marlena stuff was incredibly cheesy, but it was entertaining. Since I don't have much fondness for the OG Possession my expectations are low and I did appreciate the Devil explaining how/why he possessed Marlena again and how often he's been trying.

Possibly, but I would rather watch a full hour of Possession flashbacks than Nicole/Rafe, Gabi/Jake, Justin/Bonnie, etc. At least the flashbacks are entertaining. My other gripe about yesterday is are Roman/Kate getting back together? I am sure most don't care, but I always thought they were decent. They keep having similar scenes of are they or aren't they and they aren't on enough for it to go anywhere. Just put them back together already. Poor Roman will be 85 by the time Kate makes up her mind.

I mean Tripp always looks adorable! It's just frustrating he's in the background sewing when like Belle could be reacting to the movie about her mother. Stupid guarantees...... The Possession is just missing the gothic love story that was underneath it. Jarlena are still the lovestory and of course he will save her, but there was something so special about Father John and the rest of the town rallying around someone they loved so much. Idk, it's missing a lot aside from pacing.

Seriously, the devil (and the show) have had 25 plus years to prepare this and the devil can't even be chill in front of John as Marlena? There is no emotional weight to this Possession. John is going to figure it out in 2 seconds. Celeste is a character in the movie? Yay! I liked Johnny/Chanel today. Am I the only one who thought Tripp embroidering a blanket the entire episode was just RC trolling us on how boring they can make him?

I think it's an age thing with Doug too. I am not sure how often they can use him and Julie. I liked the conflict with John/Marlena too. I can't even remember the last time they even bickered about anything. I do think DevilMarlena had some valid points about it being her choice, not John's, for the movie. I am not sure I follow the narrative that people have been talking about the Possession for 25 years behind Marlena's back. I think the Possession 2.0 is fine so far I guess, but it really just came out of nowhere. I wish people were talking about it before it was actually happening to set it up better. Marlena/John have never really expressed they had any horrible issues with it bothering them before. It was just a blip on the radar of crazy things that happened to them in the scheme of their relationship. I also wish Belle/Brady were involved at all.

No one has any thoughts on Marlena becoming fully possessed today? The John/Marlena stuff was decent. I liked the ending although I still don't know why the devil can't just talk to her instead of talking through electronic devices. That's a choice.....but I am sucker for flashbacks. Flashbacks from the past will make a show 100% to me. Everyone else in the episode was pretty much odd. These stories never really air on the same days, so I barely even know what's going on in the Gwen, Justin, Xander stuff because I skip it in general. Shame Johnny disappeared at the beginning of the episode. I would have rather watched him thinking about special effects and how he was going to make this movie on his phone---shirtless of course.

He def was dealing in the sex trade when he first appeared. Again, they make a point of saying no drugs or guns. I know they say coffee but he literally could be selling fake handbags for all we know. There are a lot of things that could possibly be imported and it's just not exciting, but there are ways for him to make money. I also thought there were arms being shipped back in the day in the 90's and Rivera dealt with drugs and weapons and Sonny inherited that so he either changed that entire cartel and process or it's just still happening.
