Ava cutting up that bear is the most useful thing she has done her entire run. I take back every bad thing I said about her boring character and boring cooking now. Her killing the bear is worth the waste of space she has been. I swear I read GV was coming back then I couldn't find any evidence that it was true and thought I made it up. Good to see I wasn't crazy. I would say there is a 99% chance Jan is Belle in a mask. Phillip's amputated leg mention and they mentioned Theo's autism last week. Two things I thought didn't exist anymore. I am curious to see how the Possession continues once John is out of the crypt. Is the devil just going to run around town with Salemites knowing it's Mardevil lol? The promo looks good.

DH is definitely having a blast. She seems to enjoy humor/camp. It's just a little far off of what the original possession was so it plays wrong to me.

Unfortunately, I would say it's likely. If not GH, I bet someone else will pick him up. But the silver lining for me is that this could free up $$$ for Vanessa Marcil. So thank you Ingo and Steve!🥳

Totally fair. Not beefing with you either. I'll be honest and say I don't know or follow SBu really at all and I don't doubt you are 100% correct about the things he has said and his personal beliefs. His juice stuff alone makes me question his integrity. I don't consider Jason a huge loss to the show because he's hit or miss for me. I think I misspoke and was expecting more of a tirade from him and thought 'meh, whatever' on his statement. On another note, what would be a medical exemption on this? Just curious.

Listen, you aren't wrong. I don't support his decision or think that is fair to anyone he works with. But he certainly isn't the only person that feels this way and certainly not the only person I know who feels this way. Classy is probably the wrong word that I chose. It was straight and to the point and not being over the top in the way the Ingo was. I am sure the SBu fangirls are going to go nuts with it, but the bottom line is GH did the right thing letting him go and I don't mind a brief statement from him explaining it. I guess my point is that is was without political, misogynistic, or racist statements that ingo has spewed and a thank you to fans and his experience. I don't know. I could be wrong.

I actually thought Deidre did well with her part in the original story and didn't play it up the way she has done now. This is a more evil version of Hattie and I am not a huge fan of Hattie. I think if DH played it differently it would land better because Drake is playing it as deadly serious. Obviously, she's playing Marlena as written, but I think that might be the missing piece that would make it click a little better.

I didn't hate his response. See ya! If that's the hill he wants to die on that's fine. It's his choice. It's better he not be putting others in danger, but I thought it was a much classier response/statement than anything Ingo has said. I am glad GH stood it's ground and didn't allow medical/religious exemptions and that's that. It was the best way he could have handled the statement I suppose. Lol! At the people thinking it's fake....

Yeah and Marlena's crimes weren't campy like this either. The church desecration, the falling chandelier, Kristen being tied up naked, etc were all creepy not silly like bringing random characters back from the dead. Marlena/DH played Marlena's fear and confusion seriously. I am not getting that now. I know Susan is supposed to play the Celeste part in all this, but they aren't the same character. Celeste wasn't a comedic character. And honestly, does anyone even find Susan funny? They write Susan like she is mentally unstable or slow instead of eccentric.

I feel like Days might own this thread Diana Coleville-so random and only the same character in name Orpheus- hadn't been mentioned in like 20 years before he reappeared Larry Welch Valerie Grant-use of history I never thought would happen Sarah Horton-someone who had not been mentioned in like 30 years before a reappearance Carly Manning-I definitely thought her coming back to days was interesting. She was barely mentioned in the intervening years after leading the show.

Late to the party, but I always thought Kim was sidelined with a lot of family drama as opposed to the action/adventure stuff the rest of the couples did and Shane was part of that group. Kim was always stuck at home lol. She rarely was part of the adventure stuff that Hope, Kayla, Marlena, and Jen were. And they repeated stories with them like said above and they never were happy for long.. They ended up being tortured to the point where you thought maybe they shouldn't be together lol. I think Kim was just a different type of heroine and the show struggle with how to write for that type of couple. Aside from Marlena, Kim was my favorite heroine of that era, but Shane/Kim were not near the top of my favorite couples if that makes any sense.

Yeah that line about seducing Eric was weird. That's not at all what happened, but okay. I liked ED's Kristen/Brady. I don't like Kristen/Brady anymore. It went too far and ED/EM had chemistry SH/EM really don't. It just such an odd take for John to be so tempted by Kristen when realKristen is obsessed with Brady and even ED's Kristen/John haven't been an item in like 25 years. I know Eileen was limited in her visit and this should be over soon, but I have to believe there was a better way to utilize her. I am interested in the Sami stuff on Monday.

I am confused about the John/Kristen stuff as well. SH's Kristen hasn't shown an inkling of interest in John and obviously John barely showed interest in Kristen when they were together. He was lusting after Marlena for almost all of their relationship. So I don't understand the devil using her to corrupt him. It's not really Kristen so how mad is Marlena going to be after all this? She's going to do awful stuff because the devil made her do it so why would John be held responsible for anything the devil made him do? It doesn't make sense as a plan. I guess I don't understand what the repercussions are if John is seduced by Kristen. It's not really Kristen lol. But I did like the scenes and thought they were entertaining. I wish there was more of Eileen and Deidre because I think they have the best chemistry. Oh well it was a gimmick and I was entertained. None makes a bit of sense though and is overall pointless.

If GH ends in the next several years, I have no doubt he will back to the show. To at least tie up loose ends. I can't imagine GH ending without Luke/Laura together.

I thought the ending today was really good. Not expecting that phone call to Marlena. I loved Eileen/Drake/Deidre again today. I am not sure why the devil thinks Kristen would be able to seduce John. John hasn't shown attraction to Kristen in 25 years. Well, except for that time he was trying to seduce her to get her away from Brady, but it certainly not a recent thing. I get it's a gimmick for all of them to work together, but it's not even a good plan lol. Oh well, I have no idea why I am complaining because I liked it, but if John is sleeping with the Devil regardless wouldn't it make more sense for MarDevil to seduce him over KristenDevil? I think I am overthinking it. I wouldn't even cure Kristen of her craziness. I would just do what they need to for Eileen. She's clearly willing to come back and swapping Kristen actresses isn't a good thing. It's jarring and confusing and the two Kristens have different personalities and agendas. Agreed on killing off Susan or like give her scenes with EJ or something less obnoxious. SS was better on AMC than she is on Days. She hasn't ever impressed me once on Days, but I do remember thinking she was decent on AMC. I think I like PW slightly better than RB as Chanel, but they both were/are fine. I think PW was a more natural actress but she had a bizarre way of delivering her lines that bothered me. Very sing-songey. RB has good chemistry with a lot of the cast and hopefully she'll grown to be a better actress.

Raven has some charisma and is more interesting and new so I'll give her a chance. Sal has been bland and boring for years.

Susan babbling on and on to John was annoying. She's not tied up. Freaking shut up and do something. Unfortunately, Sal Stowers is not good at acting. She's lovely but those scenes after the reveal were cringy. Raven Bowles isn't great either, but she has a charisma that SS lacks so it makes up for it.

Well they at least could have had all the people in the episode at the church. And cut out a few Ben/Ciara bedroom scenes to add 4 or 5 others. The church is now made of Styrofoam. They are sort of cute! settle Kate down with a nice guy. Roman has had to spend years watching his exes celebrate their other romantic relationships at the Pub in front of him. He needs some love. She hasn't slept with Brady. Which considering both characters is shocking, but she hooked up with his dad. That doesn't seem to be an issue for Brady because of Kristen lol

Oooh...I like the Doug/Julie idea. People here could generally write better for the show. I do imagine age/contracts make it more difficult to show the Hayes on the regular, but if you are going to make Doug possessed use it. It was a clever idea, but the execution hasn't been good. Also, Susan is such a nitwit. The first thing I would have done was work on freeing John. He has proven to be quite skilled in these situations. I would not be sad if Susan was a casualty of Mardevil lol That would've have been great if the entire town was there for sure, but the MarDevil stuff will drag on. I am curious how it will play out. I don't think John is going to be in that crypt for like 3 more months lol.

Unfortunately the 3 people in attendance is going to make it fall flat regardless. I imagine if the entire town was there it would seem more important and exciting. Did Allie and Johnny not get invited to this wedding? Abe's good friend Nicole? Belle/Shawn? There are literally probably 10 people on contract that are closer to Abe than Kate that aren't at the wedding.

Interesting points about Gabi on Days. I hadn't thought of some of them. She was sorta the last one standing and is versatile in being a vixen, villian, and heroine at some points. Her and AZ's Nicole really turned their characters around I guess to a point that no one thought they'd be leading stories long term when they started.

Ciara's wardrobe bothers me to no end. It's clearly a VK choice and her outfits are always too provocative for what the character should be. She has a great body and wants to flaunt it but a lot of her outfits are pretty out of place. Is she going to wear crop tops and short skirts while pregnant lol

Both Lani and Chanel looked great, but their dresses were so wrong for the occasion/season. Does Days even know when the show airs when they are filming? Those looked like spring/summer dresses. Yeah, I just like Roman/Kate. They work for me. I like that (I think) RC is paying homage to the OG Possession by having MarDevil screw up another wedding at St. Lukes like Bo and Billies. But that was like an entire town event. The church set walls look like Styrofoam and it has like 5 pews.

Aww...I am happy Roman/Kate got back together. I don't know how JT became someone I loathed as the worst recast ever to someone I have a soft spot for lol. I guess 20 plus years will just help you accept someone eventually. Idk, I think they are kinda cute. I liked the Chanel and Marlena stuff. RB isn't the greatest actress, but the scenes worked well to me and Marlena/Mardevil actually played the reveal pretty cool. I wonder if Marlena's actions will have any repercussions as a Dr. It's Days, so no, but it would be funny if Marlena lost her license over all these shenanigans. Random thoughts: Steve's jump that Marlena is Hattie is actually a very intelligent guess, but why doesn't he just find out where Hattie is? He's a PI it shouldn't be that hard. When was Doug the mayor of Salem lol? Lani and Chanel's dresses were nice but they were not appropriate for a November wedding. Paulina's looked very cheap I wish the show would have made more of an effort to get Tamara back for this. She's pretty critical to this story. I hate how Days can only have 5 people at weddings and they look so cheap. This whole thing would be a lot better if the entire town was there to witness it.

Good point. Days does end up with characters like Claire who are related to everyone in town. But there have been characters like Melanie, Mimi, Morgan, Mia that just fell by the wayside (maybe it's the M in their names lol) And before someone tells me these weren't popular characters I have already gone on record with my Melanie and Mimi love lol. Again, Gabi is fine, but I am just surprised she's lasted so long especially with some of the reports about CB's personal life/beliefs/demands etc. But again Days is the worst at building their younger generations, so it's not a shock.
