Someone else who had numerous death's and kept popping back up was Days Stefano. I mean it's pretty crazy the character lives on after the portrayers death off screen or in other people's bodies lol. She might have been mentioned but Gabi on Days as well. Out of all the ingenues that have been on the show and came in and out, I am shocked Gabi is the one that lasted over a decade. I actually like CB/Gabi just fine but there are about 10 other characters in her age range that would be more relevant and should come back and that's not including Will/Sonny.

I know Marlena is the only psychiatrist game in town, but you would imagine in the real world (and clearly it's not) this all could be very easily undone with mild legwork on Julie's part. Worst case scenario she could probably transfer him to a rest home and see him then get him released.

I am not sure why that wasn't the cliffhanger because it was funny the casual way Marlena said it. Why doesn't Julie just get a freaking second opinion lol?

Gotcha. I don't think anyone needs to play Susan because she's wholly annoying and her only good tie is to EJ and DF and SH look the same age and don't interact. It's a weird situation where you want to reward SH for trying and being available but she so totally lacks the chops for Kristen. MarDevil telling Chanel Paulina was Lani's mom was entertaining.

Agree. I think it's worth letting AS come in and out because Sami does breathe life into the show. And her in and out appearances (while poorly timed recently) work for me. All Sami all the time is too much, but breaks work for her. Someone like VK making out with Ben isn't worth working around, but it seems like she is back now on a more full time basis. ED's schedule might be a problem. But Kristen is the perfect in and out big bad like Stefano. SH is fine and I am sad she would lose her job, but she isn't working, Susan isn't really necessary, and Brady/Kristen aren't a viable thing, so let it go and have her torment John/Marlena/Brady and call it a day. I know RC was trying to be cheeky or clever with the 2 Kristens, but it just made it so glaring what was missing with SH's Kristen

Agree with it being stupid to have 2 Kristens. Disagree about having SH doing the scenes with J&M. That would have had 0 weight without Eileen. SH has no history, chemistry, or gravity with the DH's. The scenes were the best part of the day. The only solution would be to dump SH and let ED appear when she wants. Eileen is not the problem.

Roman and Kate really don't care about those two. I swear there was a one off line about Cassie, but I can't remember where she is. Chicago? And Rex is close with her still, but that's all we know. I would definitely be okay with them not having Kristen on entirely during this period except for the Possession/John stuff and have fake Kristen return later, but the show has to double down and show them back to back in the same episode lol.

I am not sure why Sarah or Kristen as Sarah just didn't tell Maggie she and Rex broke up and she needs time away from Salem. And also, Maggie doesn't pick up the phone to call her to tell her a sibling died? She just texted that news to Sarah lol. I mean that's all Summer deserves, but it is odd Maggie never physically talks to Sarah. It seems stupid to still go with the Rex angle when it could fall apart so easily, but again this Kristen is dumb. And no one seems terribly concerned they can't get ahold of Sami either so I guess it just a Days thing. I don't know why the show is still going with Rafe/Nicole when EJ/Nicole have such good chemistry, but it's probably something the show wasn't planning on and got messed up with AS being off screen. Hopefully Rafe/Nicole end soon. Overall, the show was good today. It's still idiotic to have both Kristen's on, but I am just a sucker for flashbacks so I'll allow it. Even silly John/Kristen flashbacks make me happy. I believe the mugging one is Eileen's first appearance as Kristen. And we got to see John's awesome mullet again.

Thank you! There is something very menacing about ED's Kristen even in today's show and Eileen manages a very calm demeanor with Kristen even when her schemes are falling apart in general. Plus it helps that the DH's and Eileen just really work so well together. ED's Kristen is smart. That Susan scheme in the 90's with the baby was pretty genius and took a very intelligent person to hold it together for as long as she did. I never considered ED's Kristen a psycho. She was driven to insane levels, but in a lot of ways John/Marlena drove her to her ridiculousness. She wasn't right and Jarlena didn't deserve the craziness of her machinations, but John could have put his big boy pants on and told Kristen he wasn't in love with her. Kristen's schemes had desperation and fear behind them. SH's Kristen's schemes are just wacky and stupid and she gets in her own way more often than not. Anyhow, despite my reservations about ED's Kristen appearing to John, I thought the show dealt with it okay. It still is a choice to have them both appear in the same episode. I am fairly sure Lani did her own research on this and concluded it was Abe and Tamara agreed. She didn't specifically seek out Abe to drag him into it. Lani started it on her own. Still wrong, but Tamara was kind of in a rock and a hard place and Abe isn't a bad choice for a father.

Oh I agree. I think there is definitely a comparison to Sharon on Y&R especially during those awful days when she was sleeping with Nik. I have never understood multiple writers disdain for Liz and the propping of characters like Sam or Courtney that were/are played by much less compelling actors. BH still looks amazing, always delivers, has a huge fanbase, longevity, and is a team player. I am not sure what the deal is. It's baffling. I have no idea why Liz never transitioned into a main lead like Carly did.

I have always thought this was done purposely. It's clear the writers don't really care about Liz, but they stick her with less popular male leads because they know BH makes everything work and has a huge fan base. She rarely strikes out in chemistry with her leads and I think when male characters are failing they just give them to Becky and hope for the best.

Well, Austin has always been stupid, but Carrie wasn't. Carrie has always had a soft spot for Lucas, but she was always wise to Sami's stuff. And with anything medical, I think Carrie/Austin should know to get a 2nd/3rd/4th opinion considering Sami's acuity at falsifying tests like that. And just trying to make Sami/Austin a thing is wrong. That was never the point or goal for that relationship.

I think JP's Billie was pretty good. It was just a thankless role. Billie had moved so far away from the character Lisa originated that it was hard to reconcile the two. Billie also became the ultimate loser in love. The Alex stuff was just awful. I am embarrassed on WN/DH's behalf that they re-used original Roman/Mar flashbacks for this mess. John was acting like a lunatic. He wouldn't even let Marlena breathe let alone get her memories back on her own. And not that I needed it to matter, but the Roman/Marlena affair and baby had zero impact at all on John/Marlena. Once she tumbled down those stairs John was just a-okay with everything. I know it progressed into the amnesia/Alex story, but John never even was that mad about it. Mess. I did like John/Kate for a minute though and Jarlena are my faves. The Sami/Austin/Lucas/Carrie stuff was just juvenile. They were old enough and been around long enough to recognize the silly Sami/Lucas machinations. And Carrie/Austin have had so many freaking careers. At least they seem to have settled on careers for them now and don't even pretend Sami works lol. It all just seemed like the silliest 90's JER misunderstandings. I think the show's wardrobe looked through the 2011 reboot. Everyone still had good hair and clothing for the most part. I would say it went downhill after that.

I am going to see if I can look this up. None of this even sounds vaguely familiar to me lol. Haha! There is actually a fanvid of Emily/Patrick so you aren't there only fan. They look lovely together. I think Patrick and Liz had more chemistry though.

I thought Christie, Kristian, and especially Deidre looked great during this time period. The Alex North story had so many problems. Even though John was correct he came off as an obsessive psycho a lot and Marlena was acting exceptionally dumb as well. The Carrie/Austin/Lucas/Sami stuff should have been good, but the plot was so stupid. The show had to work hard to mess up something that should have been a no brainer. The pregnancy stuff with Austin/Carrie so stupid. I liked Phillip/Belle/Shawn/Mimi. I am one of the few that actually really liked Mimi and I thought FF/JC had decent chemistry. 100% agree about Chelsea coming back. Aside from awful hair choices, Rachel Melvin was great.

I legit can't remember her with JT at all. I am sure they had scenes because of the hospital, but literally nothing comes to mind. I am almost tempted to look some scenes up.

I am honestly not that familiar with her work on y&R. I just remember Daytime Confidential would praise her all the time. ED's Kristen always had a purpose. It was to destroy John/Marlena. SH's Kristen's purpose is confusing to me. Brady? Her daughter? No matter how crazy Eileen's Kristen got you knew she was smart and genuinely one step ahead of everyone else. Her Kristen was someone to be fearful of. SH's Kristen is a weepy mess who keeps getting herself into more trouble like an idiot and taking away the John/Marlena hate from her is stupid. Those 3 would never, ever get along.

I am not sure why RC/FV thought it would be a good idea to take a major storyline from a failed soap onto the mother show. PC was cancelled for a reason.. leave it alone. I do think it was an attempt to tie up lose ends for those characters because it is the same universe, but it ended up with half the characters killed off and was just strange and I don't think anyone liked the story.

There are Stacy Haiduck stans? Lol I have seen people appreciate her performance and it's clear she does try. Eileen gets much better writing as Kristen even in brief scenes. SH's Kristen is a mess and I don't think it's all her fault. I think ED plays Kristen as much more calculating and manipulative, while SH's Kristen just seems like a psycho and a kind of stupid one at that.

Yeah definitely. I do always enjoy Eileen and this show has brought back Josh Taylor, Wayne Northrop, Judi Evans, Tamara Braun etc back as different characters. I can suspend my disbelief. I just think it's awkward to have them both playing Kristen at the same time. It sort of reminds me of that GH anniversary episode (which I think RC wrote as well) with MB reminiscing with all the actresses that played Carly about their love. Just a gimmick.

I totally get the concept and see what they are trying to do, but that doesn't make it make sense. Kristen from the 90's and Kristen from today are still the same person you know? Kristen didn't have plastic surgery or anything to alter her appearance since the 90's. Obviously, it's going to be ED's Kristen trying to seduce John and a fun little throwback but it is confusing especially if you didn't know the history of the character. I am sure it's a schedule thing, but ED probably should have played Kristen across the board for the handful of episodes she's in.

My memory is a little vague on this, but Livvie died off screen. There was a whole storyline where Lucy was talking about ME's character being a vampire and vampires in Port Charles, and Sam looking like Livvie and Caleb came back and killed Alison and eventually died himself. Alison's son Rafe was on the show and tested with Molly for awhile. Long story short though, Livvie was retconned out of being Kevin's daughter and Kevin said all Lucy's talk about vampires was a delusion even though Caleb reappeared and was a vampire. Idk, it didn't really make sense but the bottom line was that Livvie existed as Caleb's wife, but wasn't Kevin's daughter.

So is ED just going to be Kristen in scenes with Drake and SH is going to play Kristen around town? I don't really mind, but is the show not even going to try to make it make sense? I know I am watching a show that currently features devil possession, but it's kind of humorous that the show will feature both actresses as Kristen on the same day. That could be really confusing to a new viewer (if this show has new viewers which I am not sure it does lol). I also think it's strange they play up Kristen/John only when ED is in the role. SH's Kristen acts like she hardly knows John/Marlena or only knows them in a capacity as Rachel's grandparents. Anyway, not complaining necessarily I just think it's funny Ron will literally take ED as Kristen in any capacity, logistics be damned.

I know. lol But out of all NL's pairings I did think her and MB did have some chemistry. Like if she wasn't Emily and some random petite brunette Sonny picked up I might have liked it. NL was never exuding chemistry with anyone, so I'll stand by my take reluctantly.
