I think you would absolutely test her with Sonny. Just saying. It sort of writes itself. I don't know why Julia seemed so old. It has to be her styling and her exasperation of anything fun. Also, I think her being Brenda's guardian immediately made me think she was much older. A job's a job. She doesn't need the money I am sure, but I could see her accepting a new part that had a solid history and idea. I don't think I would like her and Drew, but it might be fun to see Carly in a triangle with Brenda's sister. Julia's such a blank slate. Never married, no kids, we know nothing about her and why Brenda seems to not invite her to any of her million weddings even though they made up 25 years ago.

Listen, I am the worst at knowing or telling people's ages and I always think people that played teens on soaps are younger than they are lol. Julia just seemed a lot older than Brenda even though they were probably only 5 or 6 years apart on the show. CC just always had those power suits and owned multiple businesses and was always chiding Brenda so she seemed about 40 in 1993 when she was probably only like 23. ETA-VM and CC are less than a year apart in age so Idek. CC just read so much older and VM seems much younger. Not even in looks-just in characterization.

I know you aren't serious, but is it weird for me to say I don't think that would be the worst choice in the world?🤣 Again, I wish they would hire someone that vaguely looks like Vanessa Marcil, but a lot of Brenda's hang ups were about how pretty and blonde and smart Julia was and I think SH could make it work. I have no desire to look up SH's age but she does feel a little young to me to be Brenda's older sister.

Again, I think we have had this conversation, but Crystal Carson is great to me. And Guza gave her little nuggets like she previously dated Jerry and was attracted to Luke because of her relationship with Bill. Plus her connections to Ned/AJ. I think she also could have been tested with Jax post-Brenda's death. I have no idea why they would sideline Brenda's only living relative (I don't want to talk about her mother), especially when they had such a complicated dynamic. Julia has never even ever had a scene with Sonny! Anyhow, I believe CC has given up acting and is an acting coach, so she would only be open to cameos or brief stints.

I can't say I have liked her or disliked in anything. I never got the hype. She's not awful, but she's nothing great in my eyes. I hated the Carly show in the early 90's. And the way she treated people (allegedly) didn't back up her talent, but she does have a pretty solid fanbase. You can chalk a lot of her days stuff to being young and immature, but she hasn't shown any growth as far as I can tell. Due to her age and wearing out her welcome, I don't see her booking a lot. Maybe she could book GH, but GH has actual beloved vets in that age range they don't choose to re-hire or use, so what's the point? With my luck she will be a Brenda recast or something lol. Honestly, she might not be a bad Julia or even a Lois recast, but I hate to put that out there because I actually like those characters.

We are definitely getting off track talking about CC in a GH thread, but I always felt she had such a cushy gig at Days and squandered it with immaturity and pissing people off. She was the LEAD. In every freakin story and then just quit when MS got the boot. She really could have set herself up with a lifelong job, but messed it up. Not that she is doing bad or anything but her reputation as problematic is well known and she's only marginally talented and pretty. She's nothing spectacular at all.

The story I heard multiple times over the years is that CC would cry over the love scenes LH had with MS and Wayne had to tell her to chill the eff out. So my assumption is that CC and by extension MS were cold to Lynn and those happened to be her main screen partners. And it was just a crappy part. I do think it had potential but Days had so much going on back then I think the characterization just fell through the cracks. Perhaps Lisanne could have replaced Rebecca Morrison in the John/Marlena/Roman story, but my timelines might be off on that. And by replace, I mean I don't think there needed be two ballsy female lawyers and Lynn would have to have more chemistry with Drake than the poor actress that played Rebecca.

Yeah, I remember hearing those stories like Crystal Chappell was freaking out over love scenes and Wayne yelled at her to calm down. And people treated her poorly there, which is surprising since Wayne was a big deal back then and they both seem really tight with Deidre, but I think Dee was having her own issues with CC lol. I think I remember hearing she was promised a story or at least to work with Wayne and I think they had like one scene ever. It could be untrue, but I tend to think Lynn is just a class act, probably doesn't care that much, and just considers it water under the bridge since it was so long ago. Regardless, it all worked out for her. It's weird to think Lisanne was only on for 8 months because I felt like she was EVERYWHERE for awhile.

I think that Anna being gone helped establish Marlena/Carrie's closeness and pushed the rivalry with Sami, so the show just left it as is. It would have been nice for Carrie to have her own ally that was hers alone against Sami though because obviously John, Marlena, and Roman still had love for Sami.

It was an odd time for her to leave because Carrie was struggling with Roman/John, but I think it was resolved by then? I just think it's very flighty to leave your child with her new found father with his wife in a coma and two young twins lol. But Anna is generally characterized like that, so I guess it's fine. It's not like John did a bad job. It had to be Leann's contract. It's so strange how Carrie was the young lead of the 90's and Anna was barely mentioned (I swear when I first started watching I wondered why Carrie called her parents by their first names-I thought John/Marlena were her parents) and Anna was brought back once Carrie was gone.

I know Vanessa thanked Homa specifically in her Emmy win (and not Maurice lol). A lot of actors have said good things about Homa for sure. Does he still work on GH? Stone dying still brings me to tears if I watch it and that is really, really rare for me. I truly can't think of a single actor in the storyline that dropped the ball on it. Even peripheral actors like Lilly Melgar and Sean Kanan did some great work.

I will try to find some things. I know Tony/Anna were popular but it's much easier to find the main supercouple stuff on youtube and I give up easily lol. I did see a lot of Anna's intro story where she said she was forced into white slavery and, yeah, I still don't know what that's about lol.

Thanks! It's hard to find any info about her story from 85-86 and the only stuff I have seen from her from that period is co-parenting Carrie with Marlena and the RoJohn stuff. She did good work when Carrie was in the car accident, but I don't think that's what she submitted because that was in 1986. Since everything on you tube is hidden I wonder if much of Tony/Anna even exists anymore.

Do you happen to know for what storyline or scenes? Just curious. Most of my 80's Anna knowledge falls into Roman/Marlena edits so I would love to see some of her other stuff.

I always assumed Savalas was the abusive guy they were talking about. It would be awful if it's not, but he's really the only one that fits the timeline as they were together for a few years at least. That's why I don't think TS dated JW because it would only be a small period of time where she was single while he was on the show. I can't remember Joe much at all. Didn't he have a bad heart or something? No really on topic, but is anyone still amazed at how many hot girls BAG managed to date/marry/impregnate? He turned out to be a really handsome guy, but he seems like kinda an ass.

Did Lynn ever say why she left to begin with? Was she unhappy with Lucy's story or did she just jump at the chance to work with her husband?

The worst. I don't know why they didn't play her with Wayne more, but I guess Marlena. She had chemistry with MS. They just never had a point to her character. It was more actress based than a thought.

Honestly, Julia leaving was a clusterf*ck. She was just going to move away in the middle of things happening for her and Brenda becoming a legit thing on the show? I will always think firing CC was a mistake. I don't think Brenda needed more THINGS in the 90's but a steady family member would not have hurt. She was just abandoned to live at the Q's forever.

Scott and Dom had a lot of story, no? And Julia was doing stuff as well. LH leaving could have played into though. I mean, there isn't really a lot of reason for Laura to be involved. I am not sold she gives a [!@#$%^&*] about cosmetics. Meh? I just chalk it up to Brenda being Brenda in the 90's and thinks she deserves everything. I want to say Julia was part of Deception for awhile after she left town so Brenda might not be totally wrong? Assuming Julia dies and leaves it to her. And judging by her post-Deception modeling career she was a find for deception at low rates as she said multiple times.

Idk I felt like Lucy and Brenda and Katherine talked about it ad nauseum-at least the cosmetics side. The "Face of Deception" thing was pretty genius. Supermodel Brenda Barrett really wanted that assignment. I think they did okay with it. It tied into the Katherine/Ned stuff and then into Joe Scully, but I never knew there was a spa. That was clearly dropped. The revivals of Deception have lacked. Not just because any model would pale in comparison to Brenda (Sasha? no), but because they start it then stop it.

How does Deception end up Lucy's? I am always confused by how Julia owns it, but Lucy finds Brenda as her model and Julia balks at it. Really nothing to do with the topic at hand but I have always been confused how it was Julia's and Scott's and then Lucy's.

Did he tell him he was pretty but a shi**y actor too? lol Sutton clearly did that all on his own with trained coaches and what not. Same with Vanessa. They truly had something in them to improve, but if they are fine with MB taking credit for their improvement that works for me. Maybe he really is this behind the scenes acting guru that helps others so much he can't find time to remember his own lines.🤷‍♀️

If this doesn't make me wish they threw an emmy at Deidre in the 80's nothing will..😜 DH is barely grasping Marlena these days-I can't take her playing multiple characters. I actually watched the Deirde Hall Story: Never Say Never. I am not fully convinced she could play herself. Lol! I love Marlena more than anyone, but no. Ron would do this to them, but only show it like once every 2 weeks on screen so we couldn't even follow along.
