  1. Presented without comment. ‘He’s been neutered’: Trump supporters melt down after president calls Islam ‘one of world’s great faiths’ Okay, I can't resist--Teehee!
  2. Denise Darcy would've been a fun character to revive in the latter years of the show. It's likely she would've been out of prison by then. Imagine if Denise returns to Oakdale with yet another ax to grind against Barbara who busted Denise's prison hustle. Then finds out that Hal died and he and Barbara didn't even stay together. Denise might have had an even bigger grudge against Barbara, thinking in her imagination that had Barbara never intervened, she might have had a chance to reconcile with Hal somehow. Of course, that would be delusional on Denise's part but with Denise sitting in prison stewing over lost love, lost opportunities and Barbara ratting her out to the higher ups at the penitentiary, reason would probably be the last thing on Denise's mind when it comes to Barbara. Forget Iris Dumbrowski, I would've much rather have watched Denise try to get at Barbara Ryan. Watching an episode from '86 when Lucinda offers Holden his stablemaster job back (after things fall apart for him and Tad Channing) and Holden promptly tells Lucinda that she can take her job, her $25 dollars raise and air-conditioned room in the servants' quarters and shove them. The look that Lucinda gives him as she chides him for speaking to her that way. Actually the entire scene, there was heat. Lucinda started out inspecting Holden's busted lip and the look she gave him was as if to say "...don't know why I've never had you..." Lucinda had quite the sex drive back then!
  3. Somehow it keeps escaping me that Rick was Kim's nephew as well. I didn't get to see them interact much at all when the character was last in Oakdale or maybe they did but those episodes might not have been posted on You Tube?? But yeah, having Rick would've filled out the Ryan family a bit more. I remember that Rick seemed to have a 'thing' for Emily when he was last in Oakdale. Not to mention there may have been some conflicts with Paul that may have been interesting to see. Rick may not have had a lengthy history but he interacted with enough characters last time around that he would've made a viable character. Too bad. Missed opportunity (one of many) for ATWT in that last decade.
  4. I don't know whether you saw this article but I thought of @Vee whilst reading it. How ‘Twin Peaks’ Got Lost, and Found Its Way Back
  5. I thought that the FO was wide open for the Women and I still feel this way. You can't discount Rafa on clay but I don't see frontrunner on the Men's side either.
  6. Andre and Boris have history and it is loaded with beef, so it's going to be interesting to see those Nolé- related tweets from Boris from now on. If anything, and I said this ages ago, Boris should've tried to work with Sascha Zverev. Oh well, doesn't look like that will be necessary.
  7. How do you feel about Novak working with Agassi?
  8. Yaaaasss, Sasha!
  9. Go Zverev go!! Serve it out, man! Well, try to break or something, LOL.
  10. Want? or need? The Saudis no longer provide such a significant source of oil, which is why they've invested heavily into renewables in the last decade. Even they know that fossil fuels are no longer a significant source of revenue generation for their country and they are taking steps to wean the country from relying on it. Can't imagine that the U.S. still relies that heavily on those oil investments. The weapons sales is simple greed, like Jeff Sessions undoing any nascent signs of prison reform that were just beginning to happen just so Trump Inc. can benefit from the recent gains of the private prison industry since Trump's inauguration. Trump's own private Halliburton. Now, if you're talking about strategic partnerships in regards to geopolitics in the Middle East, then I might say, you're cooking with gas there. That's more along the lines of a need. Trump and his Trump Inc. 'business' in the Middle East, well that's a horse of a different color (although unfortunately it is now related do to his position, at this time).
  11. And Trump curtsied afterward, IJS. Okay this is the last time I'm going to speak of this.
  12. Obama bowed the least, IJS.
  13. Trump's not that special. Apparently the Saudis give these chains out to every president.
  14. I could've stood Nolé winning, what I cannot stand is a match that lacks competitive fire (unless it's a Venus win, in which case, I don't give a sh*t, I'm not gonna lie). But one sided clay court matches are excruciating to watch, for me.
  15. The only problem with Madrid is that because of the altitude, it really doesn't play like RG. So far as I've read, Monte Carlo seems to play the most like RG with Rome approximating a similar feel, although I wonder whether the rain storm last night and the tournament deciding against covering the courts could have had an effect on the clay. Maybe Thiem needs rest more than anything right now, he does tend to play a pretty packed schedule, at times.
  16. What the hell happened???!!! I haven't really watched to see the quality of Zverev's volleys but someone on Twitter just said he doesn't have one. If that's the case, I hope he gets one by tomorrow or it could end up being a pretty one-sided final. Rome had been shaping up to be a very high-quality tournament until Venus loses, then that horrible rain storm and it goes to hell. This is why I can't get too invested in the clay season and there are too many damn clay tournaments at that!
  17. And Trump curtsied to the Saudis afterward, for good measure.
  18. Yep, I'm seeing that Svitolina was up 4-1 before Garbiñe retired. I saw this coming last night!
  19. Muguruza knew Svitolina was going to run her as* all over the court, that's why she didn't bother! I knew Svitolina would win either by walkover or retirement but I new Muguruza wouldn't make that final. EDT. They're claiming it's her neck but her thigh was strapped yesterday. Uh-hm, okay girl!
  20. LOL. What I came to post! Zverev is going to be Top 10 so he won't have to be bothered with the NextGEN Finals in Milan which is quickly become a joke with proposed "changes" to the format. Is TC going to try to crow about Isner today?
  21. The issue of Net Neutrality is something that will affect all of us who comment on this board. If anyone wants to make their voices heard regarding the ominous changes that threaten to take place under Pai's regime, here is a link. Welcome to the FCC’s Electronic Comment Filing System Anyone who's not familiar with the proposed changes, it's really worth learning more about them because these changes potentially affect everyone who uses the Internet.
