  1. I'm not surprised that you haven't seen her. She was only on the show for about 4-5 months and had maybe two dozen appearances. But I liked her. She had a bright, positive energy which reminds me a little of Katharine Barker's Dolly a few years later. I wish they would have done more with her character, but then again the show was very much centred around the farm at this stage, so that left very little for her to do.
  2. R.I.P. A fine man who did a lot of good things for the world. I know that he was excited about voting for Kamala Harris, and I'm sad that it didn't turn out the way he (and many more) wished it had.
  3. Olivia also had the daunting task of portraying none other than the Virgin Mary, again under the direction of Franco Zeffirelli, in what is arguably the best presentation of the life of Jesus.

  5. Here Olivia Hussey's most famous role is unquestionably Rebecca in "Ivanhoe" opposite Anthony Andrews. It has been aired almost every New Year's day for close to 40 years now.
  6. Poor Rebecca Budig almost looks like a mini-person in that picture. It's such a shame to waste her like this with this horrible recasting.

  8. I think that is the most perfect description I've seen.
  9. Episode 110, and a milestone in Emmerdale Farm history: Amos and Henry agree to buy the Woolpack together. The beginning of a legendary double-act.
  10. And considering the state this show is in that is really saying something.
  11. I have to give credit where credit is due, they really surprised me with this latest death. Disappointed that it wasn't a Dingle this time either, but still surprised. I guess it depends on if you feel benevolent or cynical if you see it as an homage to or a blatant rip-off of Frank Tate's death.
  12. That's true. Thank heaven for small mercies.
  13. I think most people had Joe as one of two options for who Kim's enemy was (the other option being Jamie). And as usual they are going overboard in their promoting of his return. Ned Porteous had this to say: And producer Laura Shaw added: My reaction:
