  1. Damn, damn, damn!!! All signs point to the return of one of the worst characters in tv history.... https://metro.co.uk/2024/10/15/emmerdale-offers-emotional-update-missing-tv-legend-21797303/
  2. Oh, give me a break..... Emmerdale's Kim Tate breaks down over Zak's death in emotional scene 🤮
  3. I'm not sure that many people here except me hate the Dingles either. But on the other hand I have always been very vocal about my loathing for all things Dingle, so maybe that's why it seems like they get a lot of hate here.
  4. Thank you! An interesting bit of trivia that many people might not know is that the show actually had its world premiere here in Sweden. SVT (our national broadcaster) had bought the first six episodes and began airing them on July 22nd 1971, roughly three months before the show premiered in the UK.
  5. And boy did they shove the Dingles down our throats with a vengeance back then. They showed up out of nowhere and infested the whole show, like rodents. What made it even worse was that they were so incredibly unlikeable and off-putting right from the start. I guess they were trying for some kind of hillbilly comedy, but that fell completely flat, at least for me. The way they behaved like pigs at Joe's funeral would be enough in itself but unfortunately that was just the tip of the iceberg. It still makes my skin crawl. I all fairness, it took them a long while to address Annie's status after Sheila Mercier's death as well. (No other comparison of course. Annie was a legend, and Zak was....well, a Dingle)
  6. 30 years of torture! Isn't this something for Amnesty International to investigate? Actually the first Dingle, Ben, appeared in August 1994. He only appeared for one episode though before he died. I wish the rest of them could have followed his example.....
  7. This is what I'd call Must-Avoid-At-All-Cost TV!
  8. Imagine the pain she went through, outliving both her only daughter and her grandchild.
  9. Yes!! I have a convert to the cause! Maybe this could be the start of a movement. I honestly can't remember, but I don't think so. Not that it would have mattered. Cain, like the rest of that clan, always gets away with everything. And then they pass judgment on others. Yuck, I can't stand them!!! 🤢
  10. The fact that a 30-minute show has 55 (!) regular characters speaks volumes. They could cut half of them (all naturally named Dingle ) and the show would improve.
