  1. I think he's done a great job as a spokesman for the party and a decent job as Transportation Secretary, but I don't think, even beyond being gay, he will ever win over voters, as he didn't do well when put in the spotlight in 2020. Kelly and Shapiro are both going to be used as excuses by many on the left or among Muslim-American voters to stay home or vote for Trump (admittedly they will always find a reason to not vote for her). Kelly was stupid to go have fun at that Netanyahu pity party. I have a feeling she will pick him because of his background but I hope not as background and actual impact on the ticket are very different. If she is choosing based on Arizona, I don't that's happening, the state is too racist. I wish she'd go with Cooper or Beshear, which seemingly isn't happening. If you pick based on trying to win a swing state, you run the risk of losing that state and losing others in the process. She's getting the usual soft sell "we can't believe she's doing this, she's so nice, we swear" puff pieces Ivanka always got. That's why the WSJ and others are trying to have the party push her out there to humanize him (what a great idea - I'm sure a deeply racist party will love her). I don't buy it. She and her husband (who every time I see him further fits the description I saw on Twitter of being a "racist Care Bear") will sacrifice anyone for power and wealth. I hope she enjoys her 5 minutes of fame before he has her hide in the corner for the rest of his career. If she's lucky he won't sic Thiel on her. Maybe she can go work for Hulk Hogan. I'm sure he'd love her. He is especially odious as he stabbed a trans friend in the back. At least that friend has enough integrity to not go around running interference for him the way I see another "liberal" friend of his is doing now with the New York Post. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/27/us/politics/jd-vance-friend-transgender.html That Megyn Kelly interview is amazing in that someone actually thought it was a smart PR move. A Bobblehead choking on her own bitterness and rejection while being shot through cement, struggling to tolerate a conversation with a deeply sour, deeply jaundiced husk whose soul is as dark as his badly tattooed eyeshadow.
  2. The character received such vicious hate early in her run (likely in part due to her being a black woman, partly due to some terrible writing), I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did. Andy and Denise would have made sense, but the show had no interest in Andy.

  4. Thanks @slick jones appreciate all the work you do as always. Lady Jane was the only Jacks I ever cared much for. I never knew Tarbuck was on LOL.
  5. No problem. I didn't tag in the second episode but I hope you enjoy that as well. They seem to be from around the same timeframe. I don't think I remember reading about the Brooke stalker story. The guy playing him is effectively creepy, especially in the moment where he was alone with her when she lost consciousness. Hard to watch. It's a shame the show lost their way with Nina as I enjoy seeing her here, embracing the business world as well as passion with Steve Jacobi. I wonder if Taylor leaving hurt or if they already didn't know what to do with her before that point. Do you or anyone know who the actress with Palmer at the start of the second episode is? I briefly thought it was Harley Jane Kozak but she was on GL by this point. (someone on the video said it's Marcia Strassman - I have always mixed those two up) Palmer and Daisy are always such fun to watch. You can tell how much Gillian and James enjoyed working together.
  6. Yesterday I was watching some lost media videos and was surprised to see a number of them revolve around a web soap that ran for nine episodes in 96/97 (with scripts written for three more), called CR6. Brendan Fehr, who went on to Roswell and other projects, is the best-known cast member. The show is mostly known because of the man who created it. There were a lot of claims that he didn't pay the people involved. He was a very volatile figure (to put it kindly) who then seemingly fled to Chile and may or may not have killed himself in 2006. As with all web soaps from that time, sadly, the episodes do not seem to survive, but there are several promotional videos. I'll also link to the lost media page. https://lostmediawiki.com/Cr6_(lost_early_internet_show;_1997)
  7. I don't think any of the three are great choices but of them I would go with Walz. I have a feeling it will be Kelly. I am sadly not surprised at how many who claim to hate Trump have bent over backwards trying to defend and downplay his comment. People have spent a decade explaining and downplaying every fascist word out of his mouth.
  8. The very exciting moment of MJ opening a door... The shot of Pat running made me laugh.
  9. No problem. I always appreciate your work. I just tagged people yesterday so didn't want to annoy them, but there's also another August 1983 AMC episode in that show's thread.
  10. I don't want to keep tagging people day after day, so I'll just mention that another 1983 episode has been posted by the same uploader. The prologue is missing.
  11. @slick jones This is an ATWT 1983 credits crawl. I tried to search for a few of these to see if they are already listed - there are a few I did not see but that may just be down to how bad I am at searching these threads.
  12. I suppose you could count Lovers & Friends and How to Survive a Marriage. Thanks for all the info you're giving - I have read up on some of the Lipton period but you're helping to clarify just why the material didn't take off beyond the usual answer (that he was a bad writer). I would love to know why Irna became so obsessed with killing characters off in fires, which she was repeatedly stopped from doing (the other was Liz on ATWT).
  13. Thanks. I've mostly just watched the last moments over the years. So I guess he's just meant to look like Travis because he has a 'fro? Imagine if she had gotten hooked on Bob Ross repeats instead... Poor Louan Gideon did play the moment well.
  14. I didn't realize they were still mentioning Erica. I'm glad she still lives on.
  15. I think this is Carrie Mowery (the doomed Jackie Marler recast) in the ad at 42 minutes - if so it's the only place I've ever seen her outside of GL.
  16. Thanks as always @slick jones I know all the time and effort your work takes, especially the last few weeks with so many losses.
  17. I always assumed she was let go, as the show was writing out that whole teen scene and she has been written into a corner anyway.
  18. ‘The Boys’ Prequel Series With Jensen Ackles Ordered By Prime Video (deadline.com)
  19. Thanks for the date.
  20. No problem. I miss his posts too. I know he hasn't been here in a long time but just in case I thought I'd tag him. Glad he's doing well.
  21. @Soapsuds Thanks. @OzFrog Melanie would have remained excellent, as she seemed to truly embody all the nuances of the writing. I am glad she didn't have to play most of the writing MKH had though.
