  1. From the July 1950 Radio TV Mirror. Right to Happiness When the courts awarded custody of her son, Skippy, to her divorced husband, Dwight Kramer, Carolyn Kramer would have lost hope if she and her fiance, Miles Nelson, were not certain that Dwight won the suit with evidence faked by his lawyer, Arnold Kirk. Miles, who is running for governor, promises to go after this evidence, which consists of some dictaphone records, as soon as his campaign ends. But while he is away on a tour, Carolyn learns of Dwight's plan to move to Chicago with Skippy, and makes a desperate attempt to get the records herself. She is caught by Kirk, who cleverly uses the incident to blacken her character still further.

  8. From the January 1978 Digest. Michael Nader was very dashing. I often wonder what the Dobsons might have written for him if he'd hung on a little longer (I said that about Judith McConnell too...). Is it me or does Beau look like Rex Smith here? It's too bad more wasn't done with Georgann Johnson - she's one hell of an actress.
  9. July 1977 - the last recap for L&F.
  10. Some of these have been transcribed in the past but I decided to include all the scans I have even if they've been typed up before. This is March and April 1977.
  11. OK, thanks. I was talking about the youngest. The one who has the disability I said was the lawyer/player. Sorry for any mixup.
  12. I hadn't seen that. I called him that mostly because the first episodes treated him that way (going on about the strip club car wash).
  13. I kind of wonder if that's why I liked the early episodes, because there was less going on and more people bouncing off each other (like Caroline and her husband and their dumb son/lawyer and player son/daughter who might sort of want to be a beautician). I don't know how I will feel later though. I hope people won't be annoyed if I ever watch anymore and post here - I know you've all seen all these already.
  14. I've read about some of the confrontations with Danielle and Jacqueline and Caroline in the second season so I do want to see that but I will probably skip some of the stuff with her outside of that. She just doesn't really have enough presence to work on her own. I think I like Teresa more in a supporting role and not with all the stuff with pushing her daughter into showbiz.
  15. From the 1975 Afternoon TV Special.
  16. After keeping on with this thread I decided to give Real Housewives another chance, this time with New Jersey. I rented the first DVD of the first season. I think the preview special was much more concise at 22 minutes and I wish they would have all episodes like this, with a few extended for specials. The 44 minutes tend to just repeat old clips. In four episodes I saw some scenes four times! Unlike OC, where I was put off by the cold and controlling relationships between the mothers and the children, I enjoyed more of the less complicated family atmosphere with Caroline and her kids. They seem like one of the most believable and fun families I can remember on any reality show. Danielle is more interesting in how the other women react to her than she is on her own. Jacqueline being torn between Danielle and her family is great drama, but Danielle's life is boring as hell to watch. What was that ridiculous business with this supposed phone sex partner who stood her up for a real date. It all seemed so scripted. So did her melodrama with her 26 year old boyfriend. 26? Did they get that backwards? Even with the hack work done to her face she still looked the same age as he did. Dina bores me. She just has no real camera presence and she reminds me of an OC reject. The only time I was more interested in her by the numbers control freak stuff was when she was with her daughter, or her brother. Jacqueline is such an integral part of the show, and there are so many people like her in real life, but often they don't get on TV because they aren't having fits all the time. Teresa does absolutely nothing for me. I think she's very delusional, cutesy, and the way she IMO exploits her daughter is distasteful and takes up way too much airtime.
  17. Thanks so much. I think I do remember one episode with her (she was conning Hayley or something). She didn't seem all that interesting.
  18. Thank you both. I always know that you will have any Capitol info possible.
  19. Thanks. Loyita is one of those people I don't ever remember even though she's been on OLTL a fair amount over the years (she was Dallas a few years ago). I didn't realize Derek had a conniving partner. Don't you think Margaret Mason looks a lot like Susan Flannery here (in B&B's earlier years)? I wonder if Bill ever considered her for Stephanie.
  20. I didn't know Tonja Walker was on the show for that long. What exactly did Jordy discover? Was he into trannies? Is the master thespian "say something please" one of those who was fired early?
